Guest Adewale “Ace” Abati Panelist Richard Littauer Show Notes In this episode, host Richard Littauer sits down with Adewale “Ace” Abati, a staff developer advocate at TBD and member of the Open Source Community Africa. Today, they discuss Ace's work in building a decentralized future of the web and advocating for open protocol and Web5 technology. Ace provides insightful perspectives on the pressure of content creation, the importance of repetition for skill acquisition, and the role of community in open source project management. The conversation also touches on Ace's ‘Made. In. Nigeria.' project, a website that highlights the contributions of Nigerian developers to the open source community. Hit download now to hear more! [00:00:42] Ace talks about his role at TBD, advocating for decentralized technology and Web5, an open protocol for user-controlled identity and data across platforms. [00:01:25] We hear the difference between open protocol and open source, to which Ace confirms that while Web5 is open source, it is also a protocol that allows building on top of it. Also, Ace explains the relation of Web5 to blockchain. [00:02:21] Ace shares his journey to Amsterdam, starting from working at Code Sandbox, an online code editor, and moving for new experiences. [00:03:11] The conversation shifts to the topic of Nigerian developers in open source and the diaspora. Ace discusses his project ‘Made. In. Nigeria.' highlighting the contributions of Nigerian developers both locally and abroad. [00:04:19] Ace introduces Buzz, a recent project on the list that uses OpenAI's Whisper for audio transcription. [00:04:50] The discussion moves to Ace's activities as a staff developer advocate and his hobbies, including YouTube and video game streaming. [00:05:46] Richard questions if creative individuals in the open source community burn out faster due to the constant need for new content. Ace agrees and discusses the pressures of project maintenance and content creation. [00:08:19] Richard talks about a designer in Australia and his YouTube video where he drew an Ibis every day for a year and what happened, then brings up the concept of repeated practice, and he asks Ace if he finds the skills gained from daily activities useful for the future. Ace sees the value in repetition for learning but doesn't plan to repeat the exact same activities. [00:10:46] Ace previews a new version of the Made. In. Nigeria. project website focused on the stories behind the developers of the projects listed. [00:12:47] Find out where you can learn more about Ace on the web. Host Kole Witty welcomes Adewale to the Psychedelic Coach podcast and dives deep into his personal journey of spiritual evolution and how The Condor Approach completely elevated his growth. Adewale shares how he moved from St. Louis to Utah for college and how being in nature and seeing the beauty of the Utah mountains helped him change and evolve spiritually. Adewale talks about how football was everything for him at that time, but a car accident when he was 19 changed his perspective. This experience made him realize the value of life and the things he took for granted. He later moved to LA for the NFL draft but felt lost and struggled to train for football. Adewale discovered psychedelics and how they helped him with his mental health and emotional healing. Adewale shares how being a salesman taught him the power of manifestation and how it shifted something within him. He became more confident and saw the power of his voice. Adewale learned about plant medicine and tried it, which opened up something in him. He saw visuals and heard the water saying, "you are me. We are we. You are a God." This experience corrected his understanding of reality. Later, Adewale learned about Alan Watts, Terence McKenna, and Baba Kilindi, and a mentor named Ankhara taught him a lot about Baba. Adewale became a student and started trying the information he learned. This process helped him understand himself and the boundaries within him, his power, and how he must be right within himself to move forward in life. He also learned that he is a human and a soul living a human experience, and he's here to evolve and enlighten himself. Adewale believes that the energy of plant medicine helped him understand himself better, and he now moves in a timeline of flow. Kole, the host, points out that the symbolism of water and flow resonates with Adewale's story. She mentions that sales, like the banks of a river, guides and directs people, creating a container for flow. The episode offers a deep dive into Adewale's personal journey and the role of psychedelics in his spiritual evolution and emotional healing. It also emphasizes the importance of understanding oneself and the boundaries within oneself, as well as the power of manifestation and the law of attraction. https://www.adewalespeaks.guru/

I'm over the moon about this episode! Grace Adewale is a Holistic Child Strategist, Academic Excellence Tutor, Coach, and former teacher. She is incredibly passionate about raising young entrepreneurs and world-changers, which is what immediately caught my eye on her Instagram page. I knew right away, we NEEDED her on this podcast. In this episode, Grace shares with us her tips and tricks for fostering an entrepreneurial spirit within our children without the feeling of overwhelm. We dive into the importance of this mindset to best prepare our children for the future. Whether you are a homeschool mama or not, this episode will inspire you to find your child's passion and assist them on a journey of exploration. And, who better to do this exploration than us as SAHMs? I truly believe we have this amazing opportunity as full-time mothers to dive into our children's passions with them and foster that entrepreneurial spirit we are all born with. Grace and I talk about how the current public school system is hyper-focused on preparing our children for a 9 to 5 job, but the reality is, our world is changing very quickly. By empowering children to follow their passions, we can build better communities. We have an investigative duty as parents to foster their love of learning and curiosity. HAPPY POETRY MONTH! In this month's bonus episode, we are in conversation with the word warrior, Eniafe Isis Adewale, founder of All Her Words. In this episode, we discuss our origins and love affair with writing. We speak about Toni Morrison, and The Pieces I Am and the ways in which her writing, her words, her remarkable existence shed light on our own journeys on the page. We delve into an exploration of what lead us to begin our writing practices, how they have evolved over time, and grown through our own understandings of self. Eniafe reminds us how we must be intentional about saving some magik for ourselves. Check our most recent collaboration with All Her Words. A Room Of Our Own: a collection of works from 30 women and men of color, writers, and poets. The writings included investigating the silk and sweat of our immortal memories of home. This is where our spirits meet; a cavern for us to seek shelter which allows us to better understand the levels, depths, and meaning of home. Not just the homes we are born into but the homes we birth/find/sometimes destroy. A Room Of Our Own is currently on view here. This podcast is brought to you by The Diaz Collections.
