POPULARITY
It has been a pleasure to return to writing after taking a few months off for a hectic, fabulous, necessary, and totally exotic summer. Before I list all the places I have been, the continents I have visited, and the fantastic people I have met along the way, I want to thank you (my dear readers) for hanging in there with me. Really, from the bottom of my heart. And so I begin:Yes, I have traveled and been and carried and schlepped suitcases and cameras and clothes and, most of all, expectations and happiness for the last three months. In June, I spent 2 weeks in Carmona (you have heard me mention this ancient town outside of Seville), where the festivals were in full bloom. A weekend-long party organized by a grand Brit led to a date with a certain someone who had been on my radar for a bit. And after a lot of back-and-forth phone calls and texts, well…. It was clear it was not meant to be. Tarzans are hard to come by (more on this later). Then, in July, I spent a week in Southampton, NY, where I had summered since I put a toe in the US in my early twenties (about gosh, many years ago) and had not been in the last eight years. There are a lot of memories and a lot of people to reconnect with. I felt like the proverbial prodigal daughter; it was a wonder to run into so many people I used to call friends. Afterward, on the first week in August, I was invited to Saratoga to attend the horse races and the yearling sales. I met wonderful people and experienced the industry from the inside. By total luck, I also went to the early morning exercises, met owners, trainers, and jockeys, and was so honored to be asked to name a horse starting with the letter E. Saratoga is a magical place in the summer and its environs, like Lake George and the Adirondack's, well worth the visit. Then, I flew to Cape Town and Namibia, where I have spent the last three weeks. I have visited private preserves, hunting lodges, farms, and safari parks. I have stayed in luxury accommodations with canopied beds a la Out of Africa and rooms where I didn't even want to take my clothes off and slept on top of the bed. The juxtaposition (gosh do I hate this word) of luxury and basic, of the best of Africa with street style is what makes spending time in a country interesting and meaningful. Yes, of course high-end is always a pleasure, but the flavor and the real essence are always on the ground. Namibia is a hard place—Rocky and arid—the edge of the Kalahari desert is right there. Its beauty is in the mountains, colors, sunsets, and bountiful animals that call Namibia home. Walking in the bush among giraffes and elands (with strict instructions on what to do if a leopard or a lion approaches), sitting in hides watching animals come to the waterholes, and experiencing magical sunsets that coat the land with its alluring colors. The distances between farms and preserves are massive. It is perfectly normal to drive four hours to the nearest town, five hours to the airport, two hours to get petrol… and an hour and a half for a house party. (It is advised not to drive at night, so when one is invited for dinner, you also get to spend the night!) Self-sufficiency is essential. Nothing is wasted. Every scrap has a use, and God forbid that something goes really wrong. Help is not on its way. I visited the wine country of South Africa and marveled at the history, design, architecture of the impressive Dutch wineries. This colonial style is truly unique, stoic in its elegant parallel lines, with a charm and humor in its curves and filigrees. Oh and great wines, by the way. And then Cape Town, which seemed like every other city in the world, with distinct neighborhoods, high risers, grand villas, and Table Mountain right there to remind you that you are at the end of the world. The beaches around Cape Town are beautiful. Penguins and seals become your friends, and whales move from one ocean to the other right in front of your eyes. You just have to look. And so now, after not even knowing how I am going to get over jet lag, I am flying to Spain, specifically to Carmona, to spend a few weeks with my sister and look at a little house I am thinking of buying. I am so sure that I want to have a more permanent home in Spain and not continue to be the eternal house-guest. My independence has become a driving force. So now, let's circle back to Tarzan. (I know you wanted to hear about this!) For the last few months, everyone who asks me if I want to date again… I always respond with a roll of the eyes: only if he is Tarzan. We all have different ideas of what that looks like, and in the many hysterically funny conversations I have had, describing a man as Tarzan sends us all into fits of laughter and uncontrollable giggles. A new friend said she wanted Thor and had actually found him, but he disappeared without a trace. Granted, he was a special forces guy… so I guess that is part of the profile. I am sticking with Tarzan; I feel that I am 1000% Jane, and Tarzan is, after all, the King of the Jungle. Why did I call this article “Love Language”? Because laughter is the best medicine of all, because without it life is really hard, and being able to giggle, have a sense of humor, and lighten our complicated days is a pleasure. Sharing laughter and good times with my friends is my love language. And with this, I leave you.Sincerely,The Serial Hostess. Thank you for subscribing. Leave a comment or share this episode.

Wo fing alles an? Was will ich wirklich? Wo will ich hin?
Walk 1000 miles a Year; Can a Great Dane and a Couch Potato #walk1000miles 2021?
Day 121 - As Willow and I strode out the gate, it looked like a car park. Surely not, well yes it was. It is a pedestrian path, you know the path that used to flood each time it rained. Until the Canal and River Trust (CRT) ruined my fun and paid some party poopers to raise it. Now when it rains we can't use the gate because the flood is now redirected in front of it. Back to the Carpark which was formerly known as the pedestrian area. Council car after council truck after council lifty arm thingy vehicle. Yep, all manners of vehicles parked out here today. What for? They are timbering, is that the correct term. Ah, who cares – what is correct terms between friends. Of course, Willow was far too distracted being noisey to do anything anywhere in the facility of so many fascinating vehicles and people looking up to the sky. I didn't see superman, but I did see Lumber Jacks and a Jackie in the trees, no didn't see any Tarzans. It looks like the council has come in, to cut the height of the trees so they don't interfere with the powerlines. It puts me in mind of a lost loved one, who being of the older generation and having lived way before the national grid came into being in the 1960s, just said off the cuff one day that the power cables should have been put underground. Thinking about it logically and logistically a total nightmare, but I think the point she was making is that they are so ugly, they do impact the landscape. I'll go further as to say, isn't that what the majority of us is aiming for, to have a lesser footprint. To go back to times gone by and be self-sufficient. At the times we just giggled when she said it. But hindsight is a wonderful thing and looking back upon that moment in time I sit here now thinking, maybe she had a point, from a bygone era but unbeknown a forward thinker nonetheless. Sorry if potentially this was a little bit deep. Makes you think though. What if you could make 7-figures simply from email alone? Imagine this - zero hours spent on social media content, blog writing, podcast hosting, YouTube creating, live streaming ... Just simple, straightforward email marketing. Sounds too good to be true, right, and goes against EVERYTHING we've been told about creating a successful business. What happened to the car commercials of yore? Back in the day, carmakers didn't bother with drone footage of cars cruising along a coastline or navigating empty cityscapes. No, they offered us a vision of the fantastic: spandex-clad Romeos, 9-to-5 Tarzans, and women scientists! Andrew and Vieves marvel at car commercials as they once were.
In an effort to help you lead your business in these times, I’ve been bringing some great guests on the show, and today is no different. My guest is Tarzan Kay, a former copywriter and online business owner who now helps people through her online courses and coaching programs. The last time Tarzan was a guest on the show, back in May 2019, she talked about how to create big revenue with a small email list. Today’s topic is something that is so important for online entrepreneurs, especially now, which is how to show up for your audience in an authentic way. We cover things like if we should be selling at this time, how to use urgency and scarcity the right way, what she sees happening in these uncertain times, and so much more! If you have a topic that you’d like me to cover on the podcast, as always please reach out to me by direct message on Instagram, @rickmulready. On the Show Today You’ll Learn: What Tarzan is grateful for right now, and why she feels it is the perfect time for us step up and be authentic with our audiences The messaging she’s been using, plus why she thinks online entrepreneurs are in a perfect position to help others right now What true scarcity looks like – and what it isn’t A breakdown of a recent launch of Tarzans that taught her many lessons How she’s really been able to grow her business so quickly What to remember if you want to show up in front of someone else’s audience
Buy a rat or roach at the San Antonio Zoo with your ex's name and feed it to an animal. Tarzans original yell is scary. Corona virus, cocaine and poop found in money. Alexza thinks she's funnier than me
This is a very different type of conversation with Tarzan Kay, Queen of Email and often known for her work with Amy Porterfield. My girl Tarzan’s an insanely savvy launch strategist & copywriting expert who went from $45 p/hour to a premium brand in merely a few years. Tarzan’s taken the internet by storm with her ability to crush the inbox, 80s branding and passion for talkin’ about money. When you tune in, Tarzan will reveal the surprising truth about her beautiful branding and mindset of her business right now. You’ll hang on the edge of your earbuds hearing: *Why Tarzan’s rewriting her website, only rebranded & designed 1 year before *The problem Tarzans sees in messaging (including her own) *How to speak to different kinds of client avatars in one concise way *A few businesses Tarzan’s owned (and yes, fermentation is involved) *How clients will actually react to you RAISING prices *A super trashy product Tarzan bought off of Instagram *How to create a more premium brand with services people will pay more for *The brilliant email Tarzan got from her designer...that led her to invest $10k pronto *About checking in on potential unconscious biases *The easy way to plan for a photoshoot vs. simply “pick outfits” *The role Amy Porterfield as a client has played in her business *What’s really at stake with branding (that’s NOT design or a logo) IF YOU FOLLOW THESE STEPS BY JAN 3RD, 2020, YOU CAN WIN AN AMAZON GIFT CARD: WRITE a review on your podcast app Take a screenshot + SHARE THE REVIEW or EPISODE on Instagram When you share on Insta, make sure to: LIKE AND TAG -- @allisonevelyn_ (Yup, underscore AFTER my name ;) +LIKE AND TAG -- @BrandWithBite You’re done.
So last week we took a stroll around Disneyland by way of Tarzans treehouse. This week we are going to switch it up and enjoy some source audio from the parks. Today we find ourselves waiting in line to board a boat that will take us into the perilous and romantic world of swashbuckling pirates. So whether you're working, running errands, or simply relaxing, journey with me to the Disney Parks and enjoy the sounds of the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Stromboli or Calzone? Disappointing food experiences and restaurants. Car Shows and museums. Do Blacks like Olive Garden more than other restaurants. More on Red Box and Netflix. Who were the best Tarzans and why Frank hates Tarzan. Best food combinations.
We're here again with our boy, Max “Rambouski” Benfer. Strangely he always finds our secret bunker! Despite our better judgment, we let him appear on the show … (what can we say, we feel bad for the guy!). He's had quite a colorful past and in his previous life, Max served in men's ministry - basically calling men to set up camp in Neverland and play in the dirt. In all seriousness, what is men's ministry supposed to look like and what makes it successful? If ministering to the men-folk looks like a pack of Tarzans in the woods while "Jane" stays home, it's time we reconsider our strategy. Please make a donation to the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals so we can continue producing Mortification of Spin. This is Part 2 of our conversation with character actor and star of the 1959 Hollywood movie, Tarzan, the Ape Man, Denny Miller! In part 1 we got to hear about Denny's early experiences in Hollywood and playing the part of Tarzan. We heard that the Asian Elephants used in the movie had to wear rubber ears to look like African Elephants, that riding elephants entailed using ladders to mount them and since a saddle was out of the question, Tarzan has to worry about a bad chaffing problem as he wore only a loin cloth while sitting on the elephants rough and bristly back. And apparently Tarzans the world over are vulnerable to occasional sudden nasty bites from their co-stars and friends, the chimpanzees. Questions or Comments?
