This September 19-25, the displays in public libraries for the American Library Association’s annual Banned Books Week are going to be overflowing with banned books. In addition to Ryan T. Anderson’s book When Harry Became Sally, and Abigail Schrier’s book, Irreversible Damage, there will be not one, not two, not three, but SIX Dr. Seuss books. Historically the American Library Association has deemed a book “banned” if a few parents asked for it to be removed from the children’s section to another section of the library. That “banning” threw them into a tizzy after which they …

This week on the podcast we got to chat with Chef Eman Abdulmuaty and her daughter Dina Abo Sheasha of SETO Bakery. Chef Eman was a customer service representative at a bank in Qatar until just a few months ago, but she always had a dream to open a bakery in the US. This September, she moved to Rochester to be closer to her two daughters and son and started the process to launch her business, SETO Bakery, in the community. Translating to “grandma” in Arabic, the business is named in deference to Chef Eman’s mother, who was a keystone in their family unit. SETO Bakery serves up a variety of sweets like baklava, apple pie, mediterrean cookies, and a syrupy sweet cake, called basbousa. After launching the business around the holidays out of her kitchen, Chef Eman has spent the last few months interacting with customers and sharing her passion for baking with the community. This September, Litmus released the results of its latest state of email survey: 77% of marketers say email is one of their most effective channels, and 78% suggest that it’s been vital to their overall success. This should come as no surprise, especially given that Litmus surveys have also found email has a staggeringly high return on investment: $42 ROI for every $1 spent. The survey came out with the launch of Litmus’ first-ever Litmus Live Everywhere, a free, virtual event to replace their in-person one (which typically costs ~$1500, by the way), as well as a new product and certification program. Needless to say, Litmus has been busy. In this episode, CMO Melissa Sargeant joins Drew to discuss all things email marketing, like how Litmus markets to marketers, common mistakes, and why batch and blast is dead. This episode is jam-packed with insights from the CMO of one of the leading email marketing tools of today. Don’t miss it!

Yoga of Ascension

In this September ascension energies update we discuss navigating dimensions. September is a month that in subjective time is going to feel like a year, so each day may feel like twelve. This compression of objective time and dilation of subjective time can feel like hell or experienced as a profound opportunity for growth and evolution.Right now you can achieve growth and evolution in a month that would have otherwise taken a year. Over the course of our days most of us interact with third density from a subjective state of awareness that fluctuates throughout the densities/dimensions available to us. Some fluctuate between the heart and solar plexus, others may fluctuate between the solar plexus, heart, throat chakra, third eye and crown.A spiritual master can live effectively and interact with the world from whatever seat of awareness is needed. During this time dilation you will be experiencing high highs and low lows, and they may be experienced within a few objective time hours of one another. If you are experiencing these highs and lows don’t worry, you aren’t crazy. If this fluctuation of awareness occurred over several days you would think nothing of it. The purpose of this time dilation is to help you learn how to stabilize your awareness in fourth density or above. That means in your heart or in your higher seats of awareness. We have third dimensional bodies, and many of us are dual activated and also have dual activated fourth density energy bodies. We are in a transition phase between third and fourth density “objective reality” and therefore have these transitional dual activated bodies. Therefore, experientially our objective reality is that of third density moving into fourth. This is experienced by many of us as third density objective reality of the five senses with an overlay of the energetic reality that is increasingly visible and felt through our emerging subtle energy body senses. That being said, many of us are able to subjectively experience densities/dimensions well beyond the third and fourth density. That simply means the state of awareness one embodies in third/fourth density form may  subjectively embody the characteristics of higher dimensions such as wisdom, nonduality, or even absorption in god. Some truly accomplished masters are also able to activate their more subtle higher dimensional/density bodies, and therefore are able to experience those higher dimensions both subjectively and experientially (world of form). But those people for now are quite rare. This September time dilation is an opportunity for you to stabilize yourself in the subjective density/dimension of awareness you prefer. Are you going to choose your solar plexus or your heart? Are you going to choose separation, anger, and resentment or interconnection and love? September is the equivalent of a year’s practice living from the heart. Use this time well. When you find yourself pulled into a place of fear, anxiety, or anger move once more to the heart. Consciously breath into the chest and look at the situation with the eyes of love. See the one that is in all in the other beings, and ask yourself how may I serve the one in all.

In this September full moon energy update and message we discuss the dimensional gateway opening for the September karmic reckoning. Karma is not a bad thing, it is just cause and effect. The universe mirrors your vibration, and there is individual, group, societal, and collective karma. Karma is just the balancing of energies and should not be thought of as a bad thing. Even difficult karma serves a divine purpose and brings us closer to the realization of our true self.At the societal level many of our countries have accrued a heavy karma. As members of those societal complexes we are not entirely insulated from karmic reckonings. However, our individual karma/vibration will determine how we navigate those circumstances.Karmic reckonings are an opportunity for many of us to experience growth and renewal. A disruption in your environment creates an opportunity for new relationships and environments to come in that are more in alignment with your dominant vibration. The universe mirrors you. This is karmic law. Your vibration is your destiny. Have faith in that. When the karmic reckoning comes do not cling to the past. Do not dwell on what is lost. Instead be alert to the gift waiting to be noticed. This September full moon is opening timelines that are reuniting us with our soul tribes. Through will and faith we will ride the choppy waters of the collective karmic reckonings to our destinies. We will find our soul tribe, our teachers, and a sense of wholeness and contentment. On the other end of the chaos is greater stability, abundance, and connection. Now is the time to be your authentic self. Be real about who you are and where you are at. Evaluate and review the karmic patterns that have been playing out in your life. Have you learned the lessons? Have you forgiven yourself and those involved?Forgiveness stops the wheel of the karmic cycle. When we truly forgive we enter the dimensional gateway into a new set of lessons and experiences more in alignment with our new dominant vibration. Your path is orchestrated by a higher intelligence. Be mindful of synchronicity. Have faith and trust that you are getting the experiences you need for your highest good. The cosmos mirrors you. Your vibration is your destiny. What is the cosmos mirroring to you at this time? What within you still needs healed? What do you want the universe to reflect to you?Be a beacon of light. You do not serve others by being less than you are. You do no illuminate darkness by getting lost in the darkness with those who are lost. Where are you being less than your true authentic self to satisfy others? You have the most control over your own vibration. If you wish to serve others and illuminate their path shine brightly by being the best version of yourself you can possibly be. Focus less on how you will serve others and focus more on the illumination of your own consciousness and vibration. This is the greatest service there is to others, and when you do that the other steps will become apparent.

His daughter had a science fair project about oysters and how they can clean the Bay. And from there on out it was a done deal. This September, Chris will put in in Havre de Grace and paddle to the Cape Henry Lighthouse in Virginia Beach to raise awareness and funds for the Bay. Specifically, he wants to help the Oyster Recovery Partnership plant the bivalves that do so much to clean the Bay. This September, New Zealand will vote to determine if the End of Life Choice Act will come into force, legislation that would create a new system of legal assisted dying for people who meet certain criteria. On this podcast we take a deep dive into the text of the End of Life Choice Act with Maxim Institute euthanasia researcher Danielle van Dalen, and Dr Stephen Child. Stephen is a medical specialist, trained in Canada and has worked in Auckland since 1994. He’s had an extensive career in clinical education and medical politics, serving as the Chair of the NZMA (2015-2017) and currently serving as an elected member of the New Zealand Medical Council. Danielle has been working on this topic since she started working at Maxim in 2016, doing international research, drafting submissions, and briefing MPs as the legislation progressed through Parliament. We sat down for a conversation about what the End of Life Choice Act entails, and what New Zealanders should know before they go to the polls. This week, Coach MK answers questions about Toe Yoga, Dedicated AF, and Ramp Rates.   #WeeklyWins - 11:39 Runner Interrupted Char Gore, I should be done with all chemo and radiation mid-September. I have set my "feel like a normal human" day as OCTOBER 1st. That is the day I hope all side effects are gone (specifically nausea, neuropathy, and fatigue) and I can safely start running again. Living for October 1st!   Build JJ Jensen has been hitting her strength goals all month in July ReBuild Dr. Amanda Bailey completed her 90 min of avocado toast while on call.  She managed to talk to worried parents while still completing her run. Kristen Frazier is really proud of all of the work her family did on their home this month. She said it “Feels like I'm finally comfortable in the house that we've lived in for almost 20 years. Amazing what some paint, junk purging, rearranging, and minor upgrades can do!” Christine Lancaster completed Lane 2, the whole month. This September makes 3 years from when she stopped running due to injury and it has been a long slow road back to hear. She said “The hardest part of Lane 2 was really all mental and the idea that I could run in blocks on time without walking. Anyway, I'm so pleased and proud of how the month has gone”.  Maintain Corina Terry is  Proud that she has stuck to her running & it’s paying off. She posted a picture of a hill she ran on vacation that is a real butt-kicker  & has been her nemesis since I started running almost 20 years ago. She has only been able to run it once before. The altitude up there is about 8,600 feet. She lives in Vegas at about 1,000 feet & runs in her flat neighborhood. (There is a decent hill about a mile away I hit every Saturday.) She went slow & steady & did it!  Brenda Haskill completed her first month in Maintain. To do that it meant she had to take good care of myself amidst all the stuff going on. She completed most runs according to plan. Susan DiLeo feels like she’s finally acclimated to the heat. She still detests it, mind you, but can hack it. Sometimes she doesn't call her run a run, though: She tells herself  “I'm "listening to an audiobook" or "catching up on a podcast".  Nicole Wood celebrated her daughter’s 13th birthday. Emily Sorenson finished her solo half marathon. She opted not to “race” it because of high heat and humidity forecasted but she managed her pace and made it through! She reports that “Running a half in July is HARD, but I did it! This was probably the hardest half I’ve run, but I’m so proud I hung in there and was smart about my expectations” and the very next week she managed to, complete all her runs, walked on Thursday, and not only did I do all her strength this week but actually did it on the scheduled day! And added in some extra loop work to boot! When she left for my run this Saturday her hubs asked how long she would be gone. “I told him for almost 2 hours, and he goes for 2 hours?! What are you training for now?! I said nothing, I’m maintaining”  Alicia Budd is proud of how diligent she’s been with running and strength amid all the craziness of life these days.   Questions - 23:16 Build - 23:32 My question is about breathing. When I'm going about my run and I get a bit distracted, my heart rate seems to be at its lowest. But then I notice I feel like I am shallow breathing. When I start to breath more intentionally, HR goes up. Is this normal?   ReBuild - 25:26 Toe Yoga - I can't do it, I try nothing happens, I look at my legs/toes/feet command the muscles to move, touch the muscles to try and activate them.  I don't know what else to do.I have scrapped, rolled, massaged to no avail (both feet and calves) Anything else you can think of?? I had a hysterectomy on July 28. Had my post-op appointment today and my doc gave me the ok to start walking for exercise. She suggested I hold off on running for 2 more weeks which is fine with me because the thought of bouncing around right now does not sound good. Pre-surgery I had been doing a hybrid of Maintain and rebuild - running with heart rate

June Energy Forecast 2020: This June 2020 ascension energy forecast indicates June will be the beginning of the return to relative “normal.” Businesses will be re-opening and people will begin the process of returning to old familiar routines. It will be a month marked by an outward movement toward activity. It will be a time characterize by a movement toward harmony and productivity for many.We have a full moon lunar eclipse on June 5th and a new moon solar eclipse on June 21st. These two eclipses mark a wrapping up of big picture themes and cycles on the 5th with the full moon lunar eclipse and choices and new beginnings with the new moon solar eclipse on June 21st. June will be all about endings, choices and new beginnings. Will you renew your commitments to 3rd density or will you choose higher dimensional consciousness and loving? This June energy forecast indicates the return to normal holds within it a dark kernel for those recommitting to the third dimension. The dimensional split that has been accelerating since March due to the duality energy on the planet will continue as people begin leaving the energetic bubbles of their homes to return to “normal” life. People will be emerging into two very different types of reality. Those who have been in the hell spectrum of experience for the last three months are eager for a return to “normalcy.” They desperately want to get back to the way things were, and June will be characterized by this almost feverish effort to return to normal. These people are renewing their commitment to 3rd density and June will the outward manifestation of that commitment. Those who have been on the heaven spectrum of experience for the last three months are returning to “normal” with fresh eyes and are ready to make changes in their life that better align with their soul purpose and mission. Those who have been on the heaven spectrum of experience are returning to “normal” intent on changing it for the better. For those who fall in this category June is a time of committing to the more beautiful world their hearts know is possible and letting go of old commitments and energies that no longer serve them. This is the silver lining for the month of June which seems likely to extend through the months of July and August. June, July, and August share a common theme. They will mark a time of a return to the “new normal.” June will be the exuberant bursting forth into this brave new world. July will mark a return to a more temperate and balanced recalibration to the new normal. While August will be a time of reflection an introspection as people take stock in the contrast between the beginning of the year and the summer. There have been individual successes but the collective on average has not experienced a significant positive shift, so the lesson will return and intensify in September, catalyzing additional opportunities for growth and evolution. September will see sudden change that will cast the relative stability of the last few months upside down. This “September surprise” will shape the energy for the remainder of the year. Those who have used the last three months to deepen their connection with spirit and to identify and embody the truth of their being will be richly rewarded in the upcoming months. All the internal work they have done over the last three months will start to physically manifest in ways that will give them an opportunity to bring their life into more alignment with their souls. Those of you who have used this time wisely will be beacons of light over the upcoming months that will shine in the darkness experienced by others. You are being called be to leaders and way showers to those people in your lives and families who are struggling. You are being asked to embody your truth and shine your light and be an energetic leader during this time. The collective’s addiction to materialism and consumption will continue to drive the planet into escalating chaotic nodes of experience. Those of you who have awakened are being called to be the light in the darkness and to combat the darkness by embodying your own light. Continue to focus on the evolution of your soul and the embodiment of your highest truths. Do not allow yourself to be consumed by the chaos, fear, and anger of the 3D planetary thought body. The darkness is not defeated through confrontation. To confront the darkness with the consciousness of violence is to descend into the mire of duality. The darkness is defeated when you step more fully into your embodiment of the light within you. Be more loving. Be kind for no reason. Be generous with your love. Be prudent with your time and energy. Feed the light within yourself and starve the darkness.

It's become a much anticipated event in Sussex, the next one will be held at Leonardslee Gardens on the 30th and 31st of May 2020. www.floralfringefair.co.uk www.facebook.com/floralfringefair Contact: jeanjackman@hotmail.com Instagram: @floralfringefair & @intheweedswithanne The soil improving recipe for clay, suggested by Sarah Raven, appeared in an article in The Telegraph in September 2007, and was along the lines of this:-  Clay needs organic matter and grit in equal measure to make it work well: think of making apple-crumble topping on a large scale.  The soil is like butter, all sticky and smooth.  You want to add granulated sugar, coarse and sharp, to break it up: in the garden, that means horticultural grit.  You also need flour to bulk it out: the garden version is organic material, one barrow load to every 3 sq. metres.  So, when cultivating the ground, you spread barrow after barrow of grit and compost over the soil, then dig it in. (Easier said than done, one suspects!)

One of the world’s leading art prizes, The Archibald Prize, has been the battleground for debates and disputes about the definition of portraiture since its inception in 1921. It was established in 1919, pursuant to the will of Mr J F Archibald (a former editor of The Bulletin). Its annual exhibitions at the Art Gallery of NSW have reflected the evolving tastes and trends of Australia’s visual arts culture and offered public exposure to new interpretations of the portraiture genre. The legal case brought against the 1943 Archibald Prize winner, William Dobell (then a relatively unknown artist), forms part of a long history of art-world litigation built around questions of taste and changing definitions of art itself. Dobell’s prize winning portrait used distortion and exaggeration to capture the essence and character of his friend and colleague Joshua Smith; the artist sought to create an image, not merely copy one. The final, convention-breaking painting created huge public interest and stimulated debate about the definition of portraiture. The resulting court case, brought by two disaffected Archibald Prize entrants against Dobell and the Gallery’s trustees, saw two of the greatest advocates of the day—Garfield Barwick KC (for the plaintiffs) and Frank Kitto KC (for the Art Gallery of NSW)—contest the differences between caricature and portraiture over a four-day trial. In the result, the decision of the trustees was upheld: Attorney-General v Trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW (1944) 62 WN (NSW) 212. However, the case took its toll on Dobell and the other participants in this extraordinary dispute. This September marks 75 years since the case.Support the show (https://legalheritage.sclqld.org.au/membership-information)

Welcome back! Yeah, you! Welcome back to Of Or Pertaining To! This September 1 release is the first of two new episodes dropping on two consecutive days! The second part of this release will be on Monday, September 2, and then we'll release new ones every Monday! This first one is shorter than how future episodes will be. But quit complainin', there's another one right behind! Bob and Marshall and Jenny and Ariel and Kai are back playing Fictionary with their usual out-of-control inventiveness which can perhaps best be described as "indistinguishable from things that boring people despise".

Rugby’s biggest dance—the World Cup—is coming to Asia for the very first time. This September, Japan will host 19 of Rugby’s best national teams for the main event in the World Rugby calendar, and the pressure is on. After their famous victory against South Africa in 2015, Japan is poised for one of its most important sporting performances. Each new game they play will be the biggest game in Japanese rugby history. But how did we come to this moment? In this Monsoon Pod, host Patrick Cooney explores Japan’s rugby story. He offloads the discussion to Ken Dobson, a rugby sevens coach in Hokkaido, to talk about the progression of the game in Rugby’s so-called ‘newest’ market. Ken Dobson worked with Queensland Rugby Union and is now heading the men and women’s sevens program at the Hokkaido Barbarians in Japan.
