What happens when a burnt-out nurse decides to rewrite the rules? In this powerful episode, we sit down with Ebony Tillery, a Brooklyn native turned 7-figure nursepreneur, to unpack the raw, real story behind her transformation—from working grueling bedside shifts to building a thriving virtual weight loss clinic and teaching other NPs to do the same. We dive into: ✅ The breaking point that sparked her leap from burnout to business ✅ Growing up in Brooklyn and breaking free from the expectations that hold so many back ✅ How trauma, divorce, and solo homebuying built unshakable resilience ✅ The biggest fears she faced going virtual—and how she pushed through ✅ What freedom really looks like as a mom and entrepreneur ✅ Why so many nurses stay stuck (and how to break the cycle) ✅ Her journey investing in real estate and crypto—without a financial background ✅ What she tells NPs sitting in their car before a shift, feeling hopeless Whether you're just starting out, stuck in burnout, or dreaming of something more—Ebony's story proves you don't need permission to build a life on your terms. You just need a plan, belief, and one small step.

Part 1:We talk with Alex Lawson, Executive Director of SOCIAL SECURITY WORKS, and a Convener with The STRENGTHEN SOCIAL SECURITY COALITION.We discuss the claims made by Musk that "waste" in the Social Security Administration. Instead, it appears that Musk has looted the Federal government of information about the millions of people who have social security records. Musk wants to monetize data. People in general love social security, and feel ownership, since it has been supported by workers' wages, with a very small overhead. We discuss the implications of this abuse.Part 2:We talk with Alvin Tillery, Ph.D., the founder of the Alliance or Black Equality. He is also a professor at Northwestern University. We discuss the irrational hatred that the far right has for DEI, and the various methods that the MAGATs use to destroy it. Tillery proposes that those who disagree need to act NOW. Just as the Civil Rights Movement did not wait for favorable conditions when mobilizing, we should not wait for favorable conditions when mobilizing against the fascism that is occurring. Lawmakers should use all powers that they have to thwart Trump's plans. Power concedes nothing without demands. Music: From David Rovics, “The Richest Man in the World Says So”, 2025

RJ's biggest needs are as follows: 1. Cornerback - Nate Hobbs regressed and he should be in the slot anyway. Need two starting corners but at least have some depth. 2. Defensive Tackle - Neil Farrell and Matthew Butler couldn't get playing time on a trash defense. Nichols and Tillery are place holders. Why'd we let Andrew Billings go? If this group can get their shit together the rest of the squad will look better. 3. Linebacker - Spillane and Masterson are cast off back ups while Divine Deablo hasn't developed but has some potential. 4. Quarterback - Jimmy Garoppolo is a placeholder and always gets hurt. If you don't have a franchise QB, you are looking for one. 5. Safety - Trevon Moehrig regressed in his second year and he's the only thing close to a starter on the squad. 6. Tight end - Austin Hooper and OJ Howard on cheap, one year deals. Only reason this isn't higher is the rest of our skill position players at tits. 7. Defensive end - God bless you, Maxx Crosby. Chandler Jones is staying for at least one more season. Malcom Koonce is not developing like we hoped. 8. Guard - Alex Bars is the weak link and Dylan Parham is likely headed to center at some point. 9. Center - Andre James for now. Need depth. 10. Tackle - Kolton Miller is a rock. Jermaine Eluemunor's job to lose on the right side. 11. Running Back - Does any team need six running backs? Only issue is did no other RB's get time because Josh Jacobs was so good or because they suck? 12. Wide Receiver - Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Jakobi Meyers. One of the best wide receiver rooms in football. Depth is an issue with mostly undrafted/practice squad guys fitting a specific niche. 13. Punter - AJ Cole is a two time Pro Bowler. 14. Kicker - Daniel Carlson is the best kicker in the NFL. Shove it, Justin Tucker. The value of looking at mock drafts is picking up trends and seeing value of general positions. Soto has seen over 50 2023 NFL Mock Drafts and this one is his favorite: https://theathletic.com/4413880/2023/04/17/nfl-7-rounds-mock-draft-2023/ The Raiders pick Devon Witherspoon, Trenton Simpson, Sam Laporta, Colby Wooden, Aidan O'Connell, AT Perry, Jordan Battle, Jon Gaines II, Ryan Hayes, Chris Rodriguez. Purdue quarterback Aidan O'Connell looks just like Landfill from Beef Fest. In LV Raiders news, NFL Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs has NOT signed his franchise tag. How worried should Raider Nation be? Raiders rumors point to University of Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker is the number three quarterback on Raiders general Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels draft board. Antonio Brown Raiders wide receiver briefly, explains why he fell out with Tom Brady. 2023-24 NFL Season schedule rankings are out. The Raiders schedule is the fourth toughest in football. In What Up, Windbags, how high should Anthony Richardson go, do the Raiders draft a quarterback this season or next and are we too picky about defensive players? 0:00 Intro 4:47 Raiders Biggest Draft Need 20:43 Mock Draft Value 31:04 Soto's Favorite Mock Draft 44:23 Aidan O'Connell vs Landfill 48:00 Josh Jacobs Unsigned 51:23 Hendon Hooker Third on Raiders Board? 55:02 Antonio Brown Embarrasses Again 57:32 Raiders Schedule Strength 59:02 What Up, Windbags You know you want more: https://linktr.ee/TheAutumnWindbags

They kick off the show by giving some context on why Jerry Tillery got released, where both parties had a major disagreement on the role in the Chargers defense and how it ultimately ended with Tillery being cut. Kyle Posey joins the show and talks about some players returning from injury this week for the 49ers and how that helps San Francisco coming out of a bye. They discuss Kyle Shanahan's quick paced offense, how he's helping Jimmy Garoppolo take control of the offense, some weakness' on the San Francisco offensive line, especially on the right side and unleashing Christian McCaffrey Sunday night. Defensively, there is a discussion about the 49ers run defense, Fred Warner's impressive season and how Nick Bosa is going to be real tough to stop. Kyle gives ways the Chargers could attack the 49ers on defense and how the Chargers can stop the 49ers on offense. Garrett, Jamie and Kyle each give their prediction on who they believe will win in primetime and what they think the final score will be at the end. Locked On Chargers - Daily Podcast On The Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers dipped back into the free agent pool signing another former Brandon Staley player, defensive lineman Morgan Fox. The defensive line room is now incredibly deep and Jerry Tillery now has to compete to win a starting job. Fox joins Khalil Mack, Sebastian Joseph-Day, Troy Reeder, and Bryce Callahan as former Brandon Staley pupils. Fox is going to come in and immediately compete with Tillery for snaps as the primary interior pass rusher. As the bolts keep adding pieces to their roster, it gets harder and harder to locate the deficiencies but linebacker and safety are two position groups that aren't as strong as others.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Locked On Chargers - Daily Podcast On The Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers signed cornerback Bryce Callahan Tuesday taking a low risk shot on a high upside player. Callahan and head coach Brandon Staley spent time together with the Bears and the Broncos, and now has a chance to battle Michael Davis for playing time with the Chargers. The one downside to Callahan is his injury history, but your hosts discuss why even with those concerns they still believe Tom Telesco made the right move bringing him in. The organization made another big move this week declining defensive lineman Jerry Tillery's fifth-year contract option. It may not be the right move to guarantee the money to Tillery now, but he could very easily have the best season of his career.
