(We've been emphasizing lately that every Jewish child should have their own siddur, which will lead them to Torah and tzedakah etc. Seemingly, how does a siddur lead to Torah study? The answer is that Torah study must be preceded by the brachah on Torah, which appears specifically in the siddur etc.) And this is the order of man's divine service every day, and in life in general: faith, then tefillah, then Torah study and mitzvos. This is also why the beginning of the month of Av requires faith, to not be deterred by the darkness of exile, and tefillah, which binds us above (so that we don't fall down), and then Torah and tzedakah which will bring us out of exile – “Tzion will be redeemed with justice and those who return to her with tzedakah.”Excerpt from sichah of Thursday night, Parashas Va'eschanan, 15 Av 5738 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=15-08-2024 לע”נ הרה"ח ר' ראובן ב"ר תנחום וזוגתו מרת רבקה בת ר' יחיאל זלמן ע"ה דונין ליום היארצייט שלהם י"א מנחם-אב. ת.נ.צ.ב.ה.

BH Transform the physical and we can bring the Geulah!!!
In this class we conclude the maamar with the study of chapters 8 and 9. We learn how there are two levels of redemption that each of us must go through and how these correspond to the redemption in macrocosm through Moshiach.

ב' חלקים משיחת מוצש"פ פנחס ה'תשל"ח ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=06-08-2024 Synopsis The name of the month is “Menachem-Av,” meaning that the entire month, from its beginning, already offers the “Menachem” (consolation) for the undesirable aspects of the month. This is especially emphasized in our time, when the Redemption is near, to the point that it must be clearly verbalized, which reveals and proclaims and announces everywhere that the time of “Menachem” is beginning. This year is also a leap year, which brings an additional entire month of Torah and mitzvos, thus nullifying “our sins” and thereby nullifying the result of our sins, namely, the fact that “we were exiled from our land,” and thus turning “their mourning into gladness.” Although joy is supposed to be diminished during the Three Weeks, however the joy derived from Torah study (“The orders of Hashem are upright, causing the heart to rejoice”) is a requirement, especially now when it's necessary to exert special effort for the Redemption, as “Tzion shall be redeemed through justice (Torah) and those who return to it with tzedakah (which encompasses all the mitzvos)” and this should be done with joy.Two excerpts from sichah of Motza'ei Shabbos Parashas Pinchas, 5738 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=06-08-2024
The possibility for forgetting Torah derives from a viewpoint that perceives a separation between transcendent and the immanent Divine energies. This is also the root of the debacle of the worship of the Golden Calf.
ז. (Although Tisha B'Av this year is postponed to Sunday, and there's a debate as to whether the entire preceding week is considered the week of Tisha B'Av, however, with regards to increasing in Torah study and tzedakah there's no room for debate). Obviously this includes the obligation to learn these halachos, yet it's astonishing that when a stir is made about increasing in Torah study during the Three Weeks, particularly Hilchos Beis Habechirah, no mention is made of studying the halachos of the Three Weeks! In accordance with the verse, “Tzion shall be redeemed through justice (Torah) and those who return to her with tzedakah” – there should be an increase in Torah study, as well as tzedakah, and particularly, giving tzedakah before davening. If the Alter Rebbe wrote that in his times the primary service was through tzedakah, because “The Jewish people are redeemed only through tzedakah,” how much more so nowadays when “all the end times have passed.” And especially at this time of year, when we daven to Hashem for the Redemption with even greater intensity. Whoever hears these words should endeavor not only to fulfill them on their own, but also to publicize them – to bring the “letter” of the Rebbe of our generation to each and every member of the generation. Two excerpts from sichah of Thursday night, Parashas Matos-Masei, Rosh Chodesh Menachem-Av 5748 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=05-08-2024

This has a particular connection the Shabbos candles campaign, as the Midrash says, “If you keep the Shabbos, candles, I will show you the candles of Tzion” – the “kindling of the lamps” literally, with the coming of Moshiach. In a broader sense, the parashah relates to spreading Yiddishkeit in general, starting with the general Mitzvah Campaigns: the campaign to love every Jew (each of whom is like a “Kohen Gadol”), regardless of which of the seven types of Jews he belongs to – and from this comes the other campaigns: Jewish education (which is especially timely because people are now registering their children for summer and camp and school etc.), Torah study, tefillin, mezuzah, tzedakah, “a house full of sefarim,” Shabbos candles, kosher, and family purity – and all of this in a manner of m'lchatchilah ariber.Sichah from farbrengen of Motza'ei Shabbos Parashas Naso 5739 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=16-06-2024 לזכות ר' ארי וזוגתו מרת רייזל שיחיו דבורקן ליום הנישואין שלהם ט' סיוןלברכה והצלחה בכל הענינים בגו"ר
(3) The yetzer hara's major argument is, what is this business of someone mixing into my personal affairs and telling me I should put on tefillin and keep Shabbat etc. – “Mind your own business!” This argument, too, was put to rest at the time of the military call-up: it was obvious to everyone that the way you conduct yourself, and whether you are “fearful and faint-hearted,” isn't a personal issue, but rather affects the fate of your entire unit and the fate of the entire people dwelling in Tzion! Everyone saw how all these arguments of the yetzer hara were put to rest, in the days leading up to receiving the Torah, a taste of the future Redemption. The lessons apply for all time. You can no longer argue that that's impossible to have kabbolas ol and put “We will do” before “We will hear,” because you saw personally that when you saw that the holiness of Eretz Yisrael and the holiness of a Jewish life was at stake – you followed orders happily and without question! This is what led to the victory, and this is the call to every Jew.Excerpt from sichah of 12 Tammuz 5727. For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=05-06-2024

Yahrtzeit Yomi #1030!! (1923 - 2019) --------------------------------------------- Yearning for Yerushalayim SOL A KOKOSH MAR AS the long night draws to a close, Hungarian families turn to the song written by the Kaliver Rebbe that spread throughout prewar Hungary, a moving poetic expression of the yearning for Geulah. The first rebbe of the Kaliver dynasty, Rav Yitzchak Isaac Taub (1744–1821) of Nagykálló, Hungary, was a great rebbe and locally known, like Dovid HaMelech, as “the Sweet Singer of Israel.” He composed many popular chassidic melodies, often adapting Hungarian folk songs and adding Jewish words. He taught that these specific tunes originally came from the Beis Hamikdash and were lost among the nations over the years, and that he found them and returned them to the Jewish people. He said that the proof of this was that the gentile who would teach him these songs would forget them as soon as he learned it. One of these tunes — arguably the most famous — is “Sol a Kokosh Mar.” It spread throughout Hungary as a song of dveykus and hope in the spoken language, using the parable of a beautiful bird who wants to return to its home, Yerushalayim, and concluding with “Yibaneh hamikdash, ir Tzion temaleh… then, it will happen.” (Some versions continue with the words “Why has it not yet happened...umipnei chata'einu galinu mei'artzeinu...”) The Kaliver Rebbe who survived the war, Rav Menachem Mendel Taub, sang this song at hundreds of weddings and events over the years, bringing the holy legacy of his ancestors forward to a new generation, until his petirah in 2019. יהי זכרו ברוך!! ------------------------------------------------- https://jewishmusicalnotes.com/vchulom-mekablim-the-kaliver-rebbe/ ---------------------------------------------------- Share the Yahrtzeit Yomi link with your contacts!! https://chat.whatsapp.com/JimbwNtBaX31vmRDdnO3yk To dedicate or sponsor, please contact 917-841-5059. Return or Resurrection? Footsteps of Messiah In the Footsteps of Messiah series, we've used the Song of Songs as a prophetic working text to help us understand the preparation of the Bride of Messiah: “Come with me from Lebanon, my bride...” (So 4:8) Some passages of the Song describe the relationship between the Bride and her Beloved, and some describe the perfecting conditions in millennial kingdom. What is puzzling is how the resurrection of the righteous dead aligns with the more natural-sounding earth prophecies such as this one in Isaiah: 'For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations. Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a grain offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,' says the LORD, ‘just as the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD.' (Is 66:18-20) The ancient boundaries of the coastlands (nations) were according to language and family: From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations. (Ge 10:5) In the millennial kingdom of Messiah, it appears that those boundaries don't disappear. Maybe they are re-drawn according to the original assignments, or maybe the shifting of peoples and their languages results in re-drawing. I'm not sure whether that's important, only that the boundaries of Tzion are established and respected. Isaiah prophesies that all nations and tongues will gather. The only event(s) we know that fit this prophecy is the gathering to the House of Prayer for All Nations, the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Zechariah 14:16 prophesies the nations will begin to observe the feasts of Adonai in the millennium. Zechariah's prophecy seems a little more aligned with Isaiah's vision of the millennium, a time that still seems very much within a perfecting, but yet physical, world. How, then, do we see the Bride's gathering into the cloud (1 Th 4:16) to remain in the Presence of Adonai versus being a “sign” for the gathering of the nations? Are we in the Presence of Adonai or active among the nations? Maybe it's not an either/or question, simply one of learning from both prophecies. A thousand years is a very long time. A thousand years ago, the Vikings were terrorizing Europe and beyond by sea, and the Byzantine Empire still sailed the Mediterranean. There were castles and kings. The samurai in Japan were beginning to arise as a warrior class. The Mayans had not yet reached the pinnacle of their empire. We've come a long way, baby Bride. And the nations will have a long way to go in the millennium. From the text in Exodus describing the giving of the Torah, an identity evolved of Israel as a Bride. In Jewish thought, Moses is the one leading the Bride out to meet the Bridegroom at Sinai. From here, the prophets (Je 2:2 among others) take up the Bride as an identity of Israel who is willing to do and hear the commandments of her Elohim. She's saved from Egypt and bound in covenant of her free will. The New Testament Scriptures extend this identity and elaborate upon it. Likewise, the Feast of Shavuot is seen as the time at which the Bride will be sealed. The Feast of Trumpets is the resurrection of those sealed and the righteous dead, but what of the ten days until Yom HaKippurim? Those days are seen as an opportunity for the “intermediates,” or as Yeshua calls them “lukewarm,

Leon Ben-Tzion is pretty bummed about having a grandpa name, especially when he realizes that the only other Leon he knows is his Saba (grandpa) Leon. When Saba Leon sits "Little Leon" down for a heart-to-heart and shows him the "Book of Lions" or Leons, Leon is pretty intrigued. Maybe having a "grandpa name" and carrying on the family tradition isn't so bad after all? Tagel loves this book because having a unique Jewish name is something that he's struggled with a bit in school. The story gives her a boost of Jewish pride and hopefully, it will do the same for you!

The pasuk says in Shir HaShirim , הגידה לי שאהבה נפשי איכה תרעה – Rashi explains, this is ruach hakodesh comparing the Jewish people to sheep who are beloved to their shepherd. We turn to HaKadosh Baruch Hu , our Shepherd, like a woman who turns to her loving husband. And we say הגידה לי שאהבה נפשי – tell me, the One who I love so much, how can Your sheep graze when they are amongst wolves who want to devour them. The pasuk continues: איכה תרביץ בצהריים - The midrash says this is referring to the חבלי משיח -the pangs of Mashiach , which are compared to the afternoon sun. The afternoon sun is very dangerous to the sheep who may become dehydrated from it. So the sheep cry out in distress to the shepherd to get rid of the sun from the world, but they don't know how much benefit the sun gives the world and how much benefit they get from the sun. The pangs of Mashiach are very difficult to deal with, but we must know, as always, even the difficulties are there for our benefit. How is it possible that anything good could possibly come out of holy Jewish people being brutally murdered in such a horrific way? We have no understanding of the ways of Hashem and we don't know 99.99% of His calculations, but a great rabbi once gave a little insight on another occasion when Jewish people were brutally murdered just because they were Jewish. The Rabbi said, besides for the fact that those people were considered kedoshim and chassidim for dying al kiddush Hashem, they also were being credited with all the millions of good deeds and improvements that the entire Jewish people had achieved as a direct result of their horrific deaths. Rabbi Menashe Reisman told a story of one of the people who were murdered on Shemini Atzeret. It was a man who was once part of Yeshivat Tifrach. He had since veered from the path and was at that festival on Shabbat morning. The Rosh Yeshiva came to be menachem avel after the burial, being that he used to be the Rosh Yeshiva of the niftar . When he started speaking, the boy's father said to him, “You don't need to give me any chizuk . My son came to me in a dream after he was buried. His face was glowing. He told me he was learning privately with HaKadosh Baruch Hu בכבודו ובעצמו .” We cannot imagine how high his neshama reached, to the greatest heights, from what took place. But it is hard for us to feel any consolation while we are still mourning and the danger is still lurking. The midrash already told that in the days preceding Mashiach , Hashem is going to call upon the Nevi'im to come and console us, but we will not be consoled. The Nevi'im will go back to Hashem to tell Him, עניה סוערה לא נוחמה – that His people cannot be consoled. And then, Hashem will come Himself to comfort us, like it says He will then restore life to those who have passed on and they will once again be reunited with their families. ולא ישמע עוד חמס בארצך – we will no longer have Hamas in our midst. שוד ושבר בגבולך – or calamity and destruction in our borders. The Navi describes the Mashiach by saying, ברוח שפתיו ימית רשע – by the breath of his mouth will he kill our enemies. כי הנה ה' באש יבוא - Hashem will come with fire to eliminate all of those who tormented His People. שישו את ירושלים גילו בה כל אוהביה – those days are going to be the happiest days since the time of the world's creation. ועמך כולם צדיקים – everyone will be righteous. כי עין בעין יראו בשוב ה' את ציון – we will see Hashem returning to Tzion with our own eyes. These are the glorious days ahead. Now, we are still in the thick of the darkness, but the light will shine once more. And then, לא יהיה לך שמש לאור יומם והיה ה' לך לאור עולם – we will no longer need the sun for daylight because Hashem Himself will be our light. For now, we must hold strong, we must maintain our steadfast emunah in Hashem and we must improve to become the best ovdei Hashem we can be. And then, b'ezrat Hashem, we'll be zocheh to dance with the Mashiach bekarov . Amen. Shabbat Shalom
ב' שיחות דהתוועדות י"ג תשרי ה'תשל"ד ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=27-09-2023 Synopsis [This farbrengen took place at the height of the Yom Kippur War.] (1) During the summer we discussed what it says in the maamar [V'kibel Hayehudim] of 5627 on the verse, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have established strength…in order to put an end to enemy and avenger.” This was like “prophesying without knowing what he was prophesying” – it has now become clear that indeed a situation has arisen where it is necessary to “put an end to enemy and avenger,” which is possible in a manner where the enemy becomes a helper to the Jewish people etc. The service of birurim is achieved through tzedakah in particular, and when it is dispensed freely – as it says in Siddur im Dach, to freely dispense tzedakah to the poor on Erev Sukkos. The simple reason we've brought the issue to the fore lately is because there are those who, because “their inclination forced them” want to give back territory in Eretz Yisrael that Hashem miraculously gave the Jewish people etc. Therefore, when a crowd of multiple minyanim of Jews gather, and within the four cubits of the leader of the generation, and loudly declare that those people do not speak in the name of a single Jew (nor, in fact, do they speak in their own name), because “When He wished, He gave it to them,” and then, “when He wished, He took it away from them and gave it to us” – this will cause it to indeed be that way, and those arguments will be nullified etc. And when the crowd says “Amen,” that has an effect on them and on the world forever and ever. [The crowd loudly responds “Amen!”.] (2) We should utilize the hours remaining until Sukkos to increase in Torah and tzedakah, as it says, “Tzion shall be redeemed through justice and her penitent through tzedakah;” may we merit that Hashem will “spread over us the shelter (sukkah) of Your peace,” and “And I will grant peace in the Land, and you will lie down with no one to frighten [you],” and to continue the great joy throughout the entire year.2 sichos from farbrengen of 13 Tishrei 5734 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=27-09-2023 לע”נ מרת רייזל רבקה בת ר' יעקב יוסף ע"ה גלאסנער ליום היארצייט שלה י"ב תשרי. ת.נ.צ.ב.ה.

There's a true tzadik who's the beauty, splendor, and grace of the entire world. And when this tzadik is made famous and revealed in the world, all those who are attached and encompassed within this tzadik have their eyes opened: they are able to see within themselves/whey they are holding in their traits, and they are also able to see the greatness of HASHEM!Rabeinu also teaches us that there are luminaries of light (representing holiness) and luminaries of fire (representing evil). When the luminaries of light are given strength, the luminaries of fire are subdued, and G-d forbid the opposite occurs when the luminaries of fire are given power. It is these luminaries of fire that cause the destruction of the temple…Rabeinu, in connection with all this mentioned above, greatly emphasizes the importance of getting up chatzot/midnight to mourn over the destruction of the temple. And anyone who does so, will truly see G-d “replace for the mourners of Tzion splendor instead of ashes…” Rabeinu connects these ideas with why the Divine Presence cries out at the Western Wall and mourns over the fact that her children are in Exile. Rabeinu also explains this in connection with the tefillin, which is also called splendor, with the 4 mentalities granted to Betzalel, revealing G-d's Name, false leaders, the eulogy when a true tzadik passes away, lamenting over the spilling of Jewish blood, the Ba'al Habayit, the Etrog, the beautiful maiden without eyes (Zohar Mishpatim)…

Supply chains are not only digitising, but they're also becoming more automated. One area that has been slow to go digital is cross border trade between countries - how can you be sure your shipment doesn't contain anything besides what it says on the tin, or your new supplier is legitimate??A company called Ultra helps customs authorities inspect goods flowing through their centers by using AI and data driven solutions already implemented in its software program for about six years now; I invited Ram Ben Tzion, CEO and co-founder of this startup-company onto the podcast so he could share his insights regarding where things stand today. We had an excellent conversation talking about the genesis of Ultra, how it is moving from just helping customs agencies to more generalised supply chains, and where they're going next.Support the showI learned loads, I hope you do too...If you have any comments/suggestions or questions for the podcast - feel free to leave me a voice message over on my SpeakPipe page or just send it to me as a direct message on Twitter/LinkedIn. We have new worship songs coming out on a weekly basis, but what if we could go back to the original worship experience—what David heard and felt when he wrote his psalms, what Moses and the Israelites sang when they stood before the Tabernacle. What does worship sound like in God's own language? Our guest today is Messianic music artist Troy Mitchell who has dedicated his career to setting God's Word to music and helping us all sing it back to Him. Rabbi Jacobson will discuss the following topics: Chassidus Applied to Tisha B'Av nidcheWhat is the significance of Tisha B'Av being pushed off a day due to Shabbos? How do we reconcile the negative and positive elements in sadness? If the energy of a day is recreated each year on that day, why do we fast on the next day? Why do we need the Holy Temple when we draw down the Divine through our prayers? Why is the Beis Hamikdash such a central component of the Geulah? Why do we assume that life with the Third Temple will be better than it was during the first two Temples? After all the work that great men and women did over the generations, how can our sages say that a generation that didn't rebuild the temple is considered as if it destroyed it? What is the meaning of the verse Tzion b'mishpat t'podeh v'shaveha b'tzedaka? How exactly does learning about the Beis Hamikdash cause it to be recreated? When will the attacks in Israel ever end? How to avoid giving up after many disappointments? Chassidus Applied to 15 Av and NachamuWhy is the 15th of Av such a great holiday? If the Talmud says to diminish in joy when Av enters, why do we celebrate on the 15th of Av? What is the significance of Shabbos Nachamu? What do we do when our rabbis and role models let us down?
