I used to flippantly refer to myself as a Perfectionist and oftentimes I would refer to it being a badge of honor. As I got older and my anxiety increased, I realized that being a chronic perfectionist was actually STEALING my joy instead of making my job easier. But, how does one just stop being a perfectionist? Perhaps you find yourself in the same boat; Vacillating between being SOLD on the idea that everything has to be just perfect and the conflicting desire to let things “go with the flow” or just be “good enough”. If you've found yourself in this dance, you are most certainly not alone. In this week's episode, I break down just how detrimental the strive for perfection can be and how it often leads to much suffering, frustration, and angst. Additionally, I dig into 6, easy-to-implement steps you can take to begin allowing room for your humanity without sacrificing excellence and how you can maintain your integrity AND your sanity. This pod explores: Why “Perfect” doesn't really exist and how the pursuit of perfection can be #supes detrimental – But how it also can be exactly what is called for sometimes (Wait, WHAT!?) How to figure out the personal “Rules” you've established for yourself that have locked you into perfectionism and chronically delay your happiness My favorite tool to catch and re-route your perfectionism in the moment (without overthinking it to death) How to allow room for excellence and integrity in what you do, without the “pressure of perfect” WORTHY. BIBLE STUDY| MIRACLES OF JESUS SERIES.|THE SECOND MIRACLE OF JESUS pt.7| HOW CHRISTIANS DISHONOR GOD VIA DOUBLE MINDEDNESS| CHIMDI OHAHUNA. This study further deals with the subject of dishonoring God and His Word as practiced by Christians. The Book of James chapter 1 verse 8 says, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (KJV) To be double-minded is to be unstable, wavering, unsure, two-spirited, and vacillating concerning God and His Word. The devil wants the Christian wavering, uncertain, doubtful, divided in interest, and vacillating towards God and concerning His Word. We do ourselves a disfavor when we are double-minded as believers in Christ because we can only receive (miracles) from God when we honor Him and His Word. Listen to this profound teaching focused on the second Miracle of Christ Jesus to receive revelation light on how to avoid dishonoring God via fishing and how to avoid being double-minded when standing on the promises of God seems unproductive. 29. Undying and Unborn Could it ease the collective grind of the collective mind to remember? Remember that what ‘I' see as ‘I' is stardust… become aware of itself. ‘I' with my bluster and mistrust, preferences, and lusts have eternally spun into Being. Now ‘I'm' a food-formed body, a husk. And this shell, these cells, will melt back-to the turf. But, awareness, consciousness, is not bound to this Earth. In truth what ‘is' our center is eternal, but separate egos are obsessed with forms. And form is fundamentally finite. But the Monad, the Divine-Self, the Christ, remains undying and unborn. Where “the knowledge of good and evil”,* where separate-self thinking takes Us. Has dominated humanity, made Us constricted not spacious. Will ‘thinking', will ‘mind', will ‘ego's' remain mankind's prison? Or can we transcend the false narrative, Become God's unified vision? To see consciousness as shared Divinity beyond just stardust, with breath. Is to admit we are the Creator… of each moment we have left. But if our collective consciousness stays chained to separate ‘I's. Vacillating back and forth between individual pride and moral slides while consumption spins suffering man-made hell multiplies. As separate selves crave divides we fuel the rising of tides. And record cries from the skies. Decay and suffering it seems has become the demon of ego's grand-prize. But the separate ‘I' is simply a disguise. Fundamental Oneness is what an infinite Cosmos implies. To Be… loving awareness** is Divinity realized. Realizing itself… through stardust with eyes. Yet, “everything dies, baby… that's a fact. But maybe everything that dies, some day comes back”.*** The dance, of God manifesting God is the point! Not these temporal forms. Remember. We are Christ… Conscious… as Stardust undying and unborn. *Genesis 2:9, 2:16-17 **Ram Dass, mantra. (1931-2019) ***Bruce Springsteen, “Atlantic City”. Nebraska 1982. Do you swallow your needs and then find they all come out in a rush of words and anger?   Vacillating between staying silent and then blowing up is common and hurts both your relationships and your self-respect. This episode offers lots of ideas to help you avoid these extremes.  It can be hardest to speak up in our closest relationships because that is where the stakes are the highest. In this week's episode of The 5G Factor, I'm joined by my colleague and fellow analyst, Ron Westfall, for a look at the 5G ecosystem and the goings on that recently caught our attention. Our coverage includes some of the latest 5G news, including: Ericsson, Qualcomm, and Thales collab. Ericsson, Qualcomm, and Thales are collaborating to take 5G to space — which is pretty exciting. The companies are looking at using satellite driven non-terrestrial networks, or NTN, using low Earth orbit satellites (LEO), to enable this communication capability on a worldwide basis. This will be a game-changer delivering connectivity only for under-served area and hard to reach areas, and providing a solid assist in worldwide military operations, workers stationed in the middle of the sea, remote deserts, dense forests, and other places that are incredibly difficult to reach. Each of the three companies are making unique contributions to make this happen. Ericsson is testing the vRAN stack, Thales is ensuring the 5G payload will work for satellite comms, and Qualcomm is is working to ensure the 5G handset form factor will support all these capabilities. T-Mobile outruns the competition. T-Mobile aces speed tests – again, and largely performs better than its major competitors when it comes to speed (upload and download), and overall network tests. And not only is T-Mobile winning when it comes to speed tests, it's also coming out on top as it relates to overall mobile experience, voice experience, and games experience. These kinds of results are as significant for consumers as they make decisions about devices and mobile service providers as it is for enterprises who seek enhanced collaboration experience for their WFH teams and field personnel and beyond. Elon Musk might not be winning friends at the FCC. Analysts are discussing the fact that Elon Musk, who likes to whine when things don't go his way, might be losing support from both Democrats and Republicans with the Twitter games he's playing. Last week we covered Elon Musk's (lame) move against 5G, claiming that 12 GHz spectrum will be harmful to his SpaceX Starlink satellites. Analysts are opining that this might bode well for DISH as the primary user of the 12 GHz band, providing service to satellite customers. Watching this shift in sentiment is interesting. China isn't wasting time on private 5G. Thwarted in other 5G-related undertakings, Chinese operators are wasting no time building out enterprise private 5G networks. In fact, they've deployed 6,518 private 5G networks so far this year, up from 1,655 just a year ago. Where are they putting those private 5G networks. U.S. Regulators Greenlight Ericsson Vonage Deal. Ericsson gets final approval from U.S. for Vonage acquisition. This both diversifies and strengthens Ericsson's offerings base and is a good thing for customers as well.

This week, I am talking with Natasha Owens in front of a live audience at Lifest music festival in Osh Kosh, WI. as she shares how her first ever concert she performed was opening for Michael W. Smith as well as touring and learning life lessons from Jason Crabb. We discuss what is like to tour with a full band and the costs and challenges of owning your own production and tour bus and paying a large crew on the road. Plus, when doing music ministry, God does not call the equipped, He equips who He calls. Sponsors: Edenbrooke Productions - We offer consulting services and are offering listeners a 1-hour introductory special. To request more info on consulting services, email Marty at contact@johnmartinkeith.com. In this episode we talk about: *Working through depression and anxiety.  *Overcoming adversity. *The reality of touring on a bus. *How to find venues to perform for. *The importance of having a website. *Having your own band and crew on the road. *The cost of putting on a show.  *The bus driver's schedule. *Having sponsors for a tour. *Have music recorded to show people. *Have video to sell yourself to venues. *Record labels sign artists based on their You Tube and social media. BIO: “There's something intrinsic about humanity and a survival instinct. Most of us will do whatever we can to keep our head above water, to take one more breath in and out…to keep breathing and keep our heart beating. But God's intent for His children, His creation, wasn't limited to survival. He intends for us to thrive. “I have come that you may have life to the full.” (John 10:10). For Natasha Owens that verse isn't merely a comfort or a pick-me-up… It's a decree. A mantra for life…and it is the very thing that has turned her darkest days into a light that is too bright not to share. “Life is hard and heartache, tragedy and loss aren't selective or rare. But for many people, as soon as they make it through the given crisis, they stop there. They stagnate,” she says, reflecting on her own season of loss and the dark days when all she could do was breathe in and out. A few years ago, Natasha's father, 58 at the time, was doing a simple task he'd done hundreds of times before. There was no drama. There was no build up. There was no warning. While cleaning his guns one day, one misfired, placing a bullet in his chest. He died soon thereafter. “After the shock wore off, the depression set in,” she shares. “For some reason, our pastor came to me and said he thought I should be the music minister at the church.” After a lot of time in prayer, alongside her husband, Natasha accepted the position. Soon, the music, the mission and the ministry captivated her heart. It stole away the listlessness and confusion and hopelessness. Week after week, as she poured herself into the music of the church, thereby pouring herself into the lives of all who comprised that church body, the Holy Spirit poured into her a peace, a reassurance and a drive to take this opportunity even further than she could have imagined. Unbeknownst to Natasha at the time, those songs lent more than strength. They laid the foundation for what would become the next chapter in her heart, her healing and her ministry. Vacillating between the church platform and a writer's room, Natasha soon had another collection of songs; songs of restoration, hope and peace. At the prompting of a friend she took her music into the recording studio and created her first full-length project. It didn't take long for the album to circulate within the music industry, opening doors left and right. The brand-new recording artist landed an opening slot for CCM icon, Michael W. Smith and she was invited to tour with Dove Award Artist of the Year recipient, Jason Crabb. With each new opportunity came another chance for Natasha to share her heart, her message and her hero. The songs that had been her healing, her comfort and her restoration were becoming that very thing to people around the world.  Following the success of her last project, industry heavyweight and iconic producer Ed Cash agreed to produce her next project and was as excited as Natasha about the message that was about to emerge. Each track, while beautifully unique in their own right, illuminated the idea of rising. With lyrics that are inviting, melodies that are compelling and delivery that drives home the truth within, these songs allow listeners to be honest and vulnerable in the most challenging and intimidating circumstances. “He doesn't call the equipped. He equips who He calls,” she says with stalwart conviction. “That has stuck with me and given me the courage to do what He's called me to. If God is with me, I can do all things. I can do more than survive. I can thrive. If others can see the power of God to do such a work in my life and then translate it to their own…to really believe that they can do more than just get by, I've done my job.”

It took time, but the music held me. The songs gave me strength enough to get out of bed.”Unbeknownst to Natasha at the time, those songs lent more than strength. Smith. She was invited to tour with Dove Award Artist of the Year recipient, Jason Crabb. She shared the stage with Sanctus Real. With each new opportunity came another chance for Natasha to share her heart, her message and her hero. The songs that had been her healing, her comfort and her restoration were becoming that very thing to people around the world. By all accounts, she had succeeded and overcome. More accurately, she had allowed the God whose love burned through the darkness to be her victor. Victory after victory, her own stagnation began to give. She wasn't just surviving anymore. She was beginning to thrive. That's precisely the point that her new album found its genesis.

The Old Testament is chalk full of physical examples of how God treated His own People, the Jews, when they rebelled against His covenant and testimonies, and these examples, as Paul says, are written down for our instruction in Christ. But what does this mean? How can we attribute the things of old as instructions for us who are now His People, the Christians, in light of the New Covenant? In this segment, we delve into what Paul means when he says, "we must not put Christ to the test...", and what the consequences are for those who choose to vacillate between this world, and Heaven! Eve's secret is becoming increasingly. more difficult to hide. Exuberance Is Beauty is a fiction podcast set in 1940s Oregon. Based on the book by the same name [by Donna Barrow-Green], the story follows a fallen woman and the man obsessed with her. Vacillating between desire and fear, the story unfolds in escalating suspense. Amazon Reader writes: "A Searing Tale - 5 Stars-This is a socially important and poignant tale of a war widow's seduction. She is impregnated and then abandoned by a clinically slick and selfish bastard, a married man without conscience. As the book moves on, I hoped he had done his worst, I hoped he would move on to other conquests. But he kept coming back." Story: Eve Miller, a young war widow, rebels against the ordinariness of womanhood in the post-war era. Eve is enlightened as she succumbs to the sensual temptation of an adulterous affair. In its aftermath, Eve Miller's life unravels and leads to unexpected violence and moral isolation. Exuberance Is Beauty, is a contemporary interpretation of Adam and Eve's biblical allegory and Eve's fall into desolation. The story examines the consequence of erotic obsession and the repentance the female protagonist must pay for her sins of the flesh. Exuberance Is Beauty has been described as "an intense psychological thriller," "hauntingly beautiful," and "terrifying." How to be Stable in Unstable Times

Download Podcast I am so thankful that we can be stable in unstable times. That stability brings confidence and peace. Let's look a t how. This podcast is available on iTunes. Out of the Mouth of Babes The little girl stood in the middle of the back seat tossing the coins in her hand up then catching them. She repeated the rhythmic tossing and catching until her mother realized what was “really” going on in the back seat. It was Sunday morning, she had just picked her daughter up from Children’s Church and the only money she had with her today was her offering money. The mom replied over her shoulder, “Did you give your money in the offering this morning?” Continuing her tossing game she replied casually, “Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t.” Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. The truth is that we approach our thought life with the same casualness. Sometimes we notice our thoughts and sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we guard our thoughts and sometimes we don’t.  Also, Sometimes we let our emotions go haywire and sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we believe God’s promises and sometimes we don’t. And that will make us double minded. James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. KJV It has consequences. Unstable in all his ways…sound familiar?  Uncommitted. Apathetic. Doesn’t follow through on promises. Vacillating. Indecisive. Aimless.   Hinders problem solving. Instability and indecisiveness can make problem solving difficult. And even after finally making a decision,  indecisiveness can complicate the process of finding the resolve to follow through. And that can be castropic in times of crisis. To be stable in unstable times, in unstable situations; we must anchor to something that is stable, unchanging and consistent.  You know what to do in a shaky situation, you instinctively know to grab something stable. Jesus is that stable, unchanging rock where we can anchor our hope and faith. Grab the promises and steadfastness of Scripture. "Faith in God’s promises is the only way to find peace in the midst of trouble."--Warren Wiersby    Isaiah 33:6 NASB And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the LORD is his treasure. Look at what He brings into your situation when you give Him access. A wealth or storehouse of salvation. That word alone is pregnant…aid, deliverance, prosperity, healing, help and security. The verse continues with wisdom and knowledge…which shows you what to do and how to do it. Do you realize the brilliant storehouse that God has given you access to? A seasoned fisherman drops his anchor in a place he trusts…where do you trust? Proverbs 3:5 NLT Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Trust? Trust is built. The more we know Him, the more we will trust him.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you know Jesus more, to reveal Him to you. That is one of the works that He came to do in your life. The more we fix our thoughts on what He has done, is doing and who He is the greater our confidence in Him will become. A fixed mind is a steadfast, stable mind. Reflect on His nature and His goodness. Respond to His goodness with praise and worship. Fix your thoughts. Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. Hebrews 3:1 NIV Grand Canyon National Park I am always eager to read the information on signs in America’s national parks. When we were in the Grand Canyon a placard told about a mountain peak that could be seen from where we were standing. I searched the horizon for the peak, but everything looked the same to me. Then I noticed what I thought was a telescope so I looked through it. There was the peak I had been searching for.  I was wrong To my surprise it wasn’t a telescope. It was only a tube of pipe mounted in the direction of the point of interest that I was trying to find. And it worked. All I needed was to be pointed in the right direction and then focus my eyes there. Worship helps you focus on Jesus. Declare out of your spirit who Jesus is in you. Something like this, “Thank you Jesus that you are my Savior! You are my healer. Thank you, Jesus, you purchased my healing, my peace. In your presence is fullness of joy. There is power in worship. It quiets your heart and takes your eyes off problems so you can see more clearly. Make it a discipline to worship from your heart everyday. Think about His goodness and His greatness. Take those thoughts, mix them with heartfelt love and adoration, then express them with your words. The more you worship from your heart, you’ll fall in love.    Focus on Jesus As you focus your thoughts on Jesus, you’ll want more, you’ll move closer, you’ll see Him in ways that only a relationship with Him offers and you’ll experience more of His Presence. I believe that you will even discover things about yourself! I shared with you in the previous lesson that we get the English word “pupil” from the word “pupa.” It is the transformation stage of the butterfly. Pupil has a second meaning. The pupil is that black hole in the center of the eye. It lets light into the eye.  But, in the 1590s it meant the "small image of oneself in another's pupil" and in the 17th century it was a colloquial expression to "stare lovingly into another's eyes." I am convinced... as you become an earnest pupil, setting your focus on Jesus, you will draw closer and closer to Him. When you come close, you look into His eyes, into the eyes of His Word, then you will see your reflection in His eyes.  You might not recognize what you see at first, because it will not be the reflection that you see when you look in the mirror. It will be the reflection of who He sees when He looks at you. He doesn’t see you the way you see yourself. He sees you through the lens of what you can be in Him.  Also, He sees you through the lens of His perfect will for your life. His eye And the second thing you will see when you focus on Jesus is that His loving eye is on you! Psalm 32:8 NIV “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Don’t you just love that verse? Not only does He see you, I want you to see how He sees you. I want you to look into His eyes as He instructs, teaches, and guides you. Look in His eyes of Scripture. Do you feel His love, patience and goodness? Even if you have not experienced it in the natural, I want you to know, without a doubt that God leans in to guide you with absolute delight and a heart that overflows with love for you. He is your loving Father. His eyes radiant warmth, kindness and joy as he whispers hope into your steps. He sets you up for victory. He points you toward paths that produce life.  If you haven't subscribed to my podcast, please do.
