While subconscious self-sabotage + simplicity might seem like two opposite topics, we are going to talk about how we can blend the two together. While subconscious self-sabotage is the depth of our mind, and how it shows up in our life, we are going to dig into all of that and also how we can blend, and bring simplicity into our lives and shift things. These are two of my favorite things. This deep, deep subconscious work, and simplicity. It's an and both kind of situation rather than an either-or. It's not that we can either talk about simplicity, or we can talk about the deep subconscious work and self-sabotage, and how it shows up for us in our homes, our lives, and our businesses, but how we can bring the two things together. There is so much value in digging into both, and talking about how one complements the other and how one can actually make space for the other to happen and vice versa.Sign up for the Unbind Your Mind Workshop: https://theunboundentrepreneur.podia.com/unbind-workshopFind me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rachel.olstad1/https://www.facebook.com/groups/thesimplifiedlifegroup/Connect with me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/rachel_olstad/Free resources made just for you to help you grow, expand and simplify: https://bit.ly/rachelolstad_coaching_90daysofjournalinghttps://bit.ly/33SimpleWaystoSimplifyYourLifeBook a free consultation call to chat about creating your own version of a simply intentional, clutter free and fulfilling life & discuss working together in my deep dive 1:1 coaching program https://rachelolstadcoaching.as.me/free-consultation-call Hosted on Acast. Let's talk about taking personal responsibility. What exactly do I mean by this? This episode is all about taking responsibility for ourselves, for our results for the things that we have and don't have. This topic is not always one that is super fun or pleasant to dig into. It can be something that is very triggering for a lot of people because we like the think we are taking responsibility for things, but oftentimes we are going through the motions behaving as if many things are just happening to us when that's simply not true. It's important to remember, anytime that we're triggered by something, or anytime something feels a little bit uncomfortable, or we're avoiding it, that is pointing us directly to where we have an opportunity to grow. So if you're feeling that tinge of being triggered or uncomfortable…that's a great sign that you need to listen in and use this as an opportunity for growth. In this episode, I'm sharing with you:Taking responsibility Triggers & how they can guide usMy journey with personal responsibilityExcuses we useBlaming things outside of usVictim MentalityFlipping the scriptYOU have controlOwning your resultsIf you're the problem, you're also the solutionAvoidance creates more of what we don't wantTaking full responsibilitySnowball of self-pityReleasing and processingAllowing triggers to guide youYou have so much power and controlThis is your first step….If you'd like to work on this further, be sure to reach out and book a Clarity Call with me hereYou can listen to this podcast on any platform or app you listen to podcasts, just search The Dream Builder Society! The concept of New Year's resolutions has started to fade away over the last several years, not necessarily meaning that we can't set resolutions, but they tend to be a bit more on the vague side. Whereas goals are much more specific. People have been leaning into the idea of finding a word or phrase that helps set their intentions for the year and what they want to focus on.I felt really called to share and take you a little bit more behind the scenes with this episode. So I'm going to be sharing my focus and the words that I've chosen to guide me as my main intentions through the entire year of 2022. I'm going to explain why I've chosen these two words, why they're important to me, how I use them to guide me throughout this New Year.I'm also sharing how they can be beneficial for you, not that you have to borrow these words specifically and make them your focus or intention for the year, but you can use these examples to guide and inspire you to really consider these concepts and how beneficial they may be for you, but also to inspire you to find your own words and set intentions for the New Year. Making Space for What You Want

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 10, 2022 28:26

Learning to make space for the things that you want in life can be more of a challenge than many anticipate. So often, people end up subconsciously self-sabotaging themselves by not creating the space necessary for this growth, and end up stuck in this vicious cycle of feeling as if they can never get, or create the things that they most want.Instead of wasting your precious time wondering why you don't have the money, the clients, home, the organization, the relationships, honestly, whatever it is that you may want. I'm going to briefly walk you through the process that I use for myself and my clients on a very regular basis. The reason we aren't getting the things that we want, so often comes down to the simple fact that we are not actually taking time to make adequate space for these things in our lives.Instead of forcefully focusing on the things that we want, but not changing anything at all, I'm going to walk you through the process of actively making space for the things you want most. This essentially comes down to an idea of decluttering, not only our physical space, but also our mental, and emotional space as well. In this episode, I'm sharing with you:Creating dreams, goals, and desiresThe process of making spaceUnnecessary resistance to our desiresDecluttering in order to make spaceMaking space in different areasExamples of making spaces in different areas of our livesCreate more connections in your marriageIntentionality Clearing space emotionally, mentally, energetically, and physicallyAre you actually creating space, or are you hoping they just happen?Business-related examplesDo you actually have space for new clients?Take inventory of your time, and space in all areasDifferent ways to create space within your life for what you wantIf you'd like to work on this further, be sure to reach out and book a Clarity Call with me hereYou can listen to this podcast on any platform or app you listen to podcasts, just search The Dream Builder Society! While it may seem “cliche” to talk about gratitude practices the week of Thanksgiving, I've got a deeper perspective that I think is so important, and needs to be discussed. The idea of gratitude and gratefulness sometimes comes along with this approach of cynicism. As if, it's silly to be focusing on gratitude. I am here to reinforce and share that gratitude can change your life in many aspects, but shouldn't be faked.Gratitude can be a conduit to peace. However, sometimes we as humans are guilty of slapping on the “bandage” of gratitude over bad feelings, but that isn't something that is beneficial long term. You can be both grateful and have negative feelings, but those negative feelings do have to be dealt with at some point and not just avoided with a “gratitude bandaid” being slapped on.I'm going to share 11 different gratitude practices that you can adopt for yourself. This will help create neural pathways in your brain which is what allows us to create new habits.
