If you've been following this podcast for any duration of time, you should have noticed a major shift in how I am teaching. I have organized my content for helping side hustlers, startups, and solos around 4 basic fundamentals of success: Financial, Mindset, Strategic, and People. I highly recommend that you check out the previous episode to gain the perspective I've learned on why so many of you are struggling. It's called "Why Side Hustlers, Startups, and Solos Struggle".  Armed with the basic understanding that these 4 are essential, I wanted to compare and contrast a few business opportunities out there. The first one is the multi-level marketing business. I was an Amway IBO for 10 years. I am thankful for my time and mentorship in this business opportunity. We didn't make it. Many don't. Why? Well, let's look at the 4 fundamentals.Financial – It's less than $100 to start! This is why so many can join. There really aren't any P&L's to study.Mindset – You can invest in books, weekly audio lessons, quarterly in-person conferences, and 1-on-1 mentoring sessions to grow your mindset. Coaching and mentoring and personal development in MLMs are second-to-none.Strategy – I was provided with a strategy and game plan for success from Day 1. The MLM strategy falls under the category of a business system or franchise. They know what works. You just have to follow the proven system and do the work.People – This is the most difficult part of the MLM. There is a tremendous momentum to overcome with people. You have to become an amazing people person. You have to learn to handle objections, stay positive, win people to your cause, and lead people. It's such a simple business model, but extremely hard to get buy-in from people. People is the biggest barrier and struggle in this business opportunity. The second business opportunity is a manufacturing company producing widgets that everybody needs. The 4 fundamentals are different here. There are no objections to overcome with people. You mainly deal with larger B2B situations where what you sell is needed. Strategy can be challenging, but the simplicity is this. Just scale and grow your operation to handle the demand. Mindset is also challenging as scaling is taxing and stressful. Dealing with complaints and legal and regulations can be difficult. The biggest barrier to this business opportunity is Financial. It may require $1 million to even start! That wipes out most of us right there. You also need to be incredible with your numbers as the margins are small in most cases and you better know how to guarantee profits at every level.  Financial is the biggest barrier and struggle in this business opportunity.Read the rest of this episode at the Smart Cleaning School website

Money - You need to continually work on your money mindset, work out where your money thermostat is set to and learn to love making money. Plan - You need to use all of the above to build a plan to get you to the business you want, rather than firefighting, procrastinating, getting distracted and ending up with an accidental business you hate. JB:Dan Tyre founding team member of HubSpot Employee #6 joining in 2007 and first sales person. Held various positions in sales, management, recruiting, training and more.  He also created the term SMARKETING to help create alignment between sales and marketing.  Dan mentors so many reps aside from asking others to go mentor others and pay it forward.  Check out his best-selling book,Inbound Organization.  Learn from his experience working at 2 person startups to organizations of 45,000 people. Dan:BOOOOOOOOM!JB:You’ve had such an interesting career working with so many different people and recently training agency partners at scale on how to sell and grow their businesses. How did you get into sales?DT:Desperation.  Sold books door to door to work my way through college. Went to Colgate university in 1976 and didn’t have a lot of money, couldn’t go back sophomore year unless he made $5K. Southwestern Corporation, Nashville, TN. As long as I can make $5 grand, I’m in! Incredible sales experience.  COMMISSION ONLY! Sent to Bellingham, WA.  95% of people quit. I couldn’t quit because I didn’t have enough money to get back home.  I had to consult with bank Presidents to gas station attendants and it was a fantastic introduction to the sales process. We read Tommy Hopkins and learned consultative selling. I was a slow percolator and it took me a while to get it.  I was out in the field 2 weeks and I was scared, would fumble through stuff and didn’t have high confidence. A lady took me in, gave me a cookie as I stumbled through my sales pitch and said SHE WOULD BUY! Took the $25 and ran to McDonald’s to eat my first meal in a week!Door to door selling carrying his Dictionaries in a rolling case. Building rapport, at the time had to “wait for my husband to come home” DAN → that’s exactly what your neighbor said….Ms Joyce said the same thing, but realized she could spend the $$ because it’s her kids education → now his customers were ready to buy showing proof of sales from their neighbors. Last month using that strategy closed 40% of people after everyone knew him and got a deposit from most people! First year Individual Contributor $5,0002nd year 9 guys recruited, got a cut from that , 7 quit, 2 stayed and made $8 grand!Junior year went to Vegas playing pokerGraduated college in 1980  from Colgate University Played bass in heavy metal rock and roll band Being a bass player is a great foundation for being a great business person1982 tired of making $25/week - 14 computer stores in BostonWalked in to Computer Store, Roger Lund gave him a shot and Dan became #1 sales person in 3 monthsRoger left for Startup, wanted to take Dan with him and would pay dan $1,500/year more. On this week's podcast, Chris & Chris continue to go through “PRESS before you PLAY”. They discuss how to be prepared with M.A.G.I.E.   Mindset You must start your day with a positive mindset or attitude. Always remember that if you think you will have a bad day, you probably will. If you think that it will be a good day, with good opportunities, it probably will be. Your customer can read your mindset. Make it positive.   Appearance Even though you're not supposed to “judge a book by its cover”', most people will judge you by your appearance. You should never leave for work without being clean, we'll-groomed, and properly dressed. Throughout the day, every customer should get the clean, well-groomed, and properly dressed you. Take care with your appearance. The customer will judge your technical ability and decide whether or not to trust you based on how you look.   Goals There are three parties that have goals for this call - you, the customer, and the company. The customer wants their problem fixed properly for a reasonable price. The company wants the problem fixed properly for a reasonable price. You want the problem fixed properly for a reasonable price. Although these goals seem to be aligned, there is most likely a difference of opinion on how to achieve this common goal. The customer probably wants to spend money only on what it takes to fix it. You and the company, as the experts, want the customer to do everything that will make the system last longer, work better, be safer, and be more reliable. That should mean taking care of issues that aren't broken but might break, that might cause other things to break, or might make the system unsafe. Because the way to achieve the goal of “fixed properly for a reasonable price” might not be aligned, the potential for a real or perceived issue with integrity could arise.   Integrity The PRESS PLAY Way demands that we must act with absolute integrity. This means we never lie or manipulate a customer to get them to buy something from us. This means we never offer something to a customer that they do not need. Anyone that does this does not belong on the team.   Explore Another way we act with absolute integrity is by doing the whole job every time. We never cut corners and we always make sure we explore every part of the customer's HVAC system. Our customers count on us to be their HVAC experts.

What you think about you bring about! So what are you promoting in your mind? Your success, what you're going to accomplish revolves around your thoughts.  It's just like advertisements in your brain. You're watching a show on television or NetFlix, and up pops a advertisement to entice you one way or another. Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT Same goes for your thoughts. Your thoughts are constantly feeding what you are thinking. Are your thoughts stimulating growth, pushing you to go for whom you are created to be? Reaching up for your goals. Or are you one who is caught up in the daily stuff of life leaving you no room for growth and fixating your mind on what can't be done. You simply have TOO MUCH to do. You may have heard the terms growth mindset vs. fixed mindset. Basically, the difference is you can change your thoughts or not change your thoughts. So think about this. We are going to do our own experiment. Think about a thought you just had 10 seconds ago. What was it? Ok. Hold that thought. Was that thought positive or negative? Did the thought attract you closer to your goals of the day or did it pull you further from the truth of what you want in your day? Now with that thought, can you change what you thought? Or are you stuck with it forever? NO! Of course, you can change the thought. Now you did have a thought. So in order to make a change to that thought, you have to think something different. It requires action. But you're not STUCK in your thoughts if you don't want to be. What are you promoting in your mind? Everybody out there is trying to get something from you. They play off of your insecurities, your failures, your strengths, and even your dreams. Fair or unfair; it's life! However, as a woman of IMPACT, you want more out of life. You desire to live out God's heavenly purpose for you here on earth. There is something greater than yourself. If we are constantly promoting the negative, feeding our minds the junk that distorts the truth and confuses our actions, we will get blasted only by what others want for us. You get sucked in! Over the years I have seen long term investors, day traders, and everyone in between make money, and lose money. What are the key elements that separate the winners and those that take a loss? Before I get to the list of 5 (kind of sounds like the Magnificent 7)...we must first have this NON-NEGOTIABLE list of 3. 1. Discipline 2. The Ability to Take a Loss 3. Mindset In fact, with out these first three, you should not be investing or trading. Get some mentoring on these before you get into the technical details. 1. Discipline This is crucial...it requires an investing plan with a set of rules and the discipline to invest or trade the plan. But this is generally where human weakness or emotion enters and despite all the good intentions of a plan; it falls to the wayside. 2. The Ability to Take a Loss This one is closely related to Discipline. But, because it is so important I have separated it. It is the hurdle to cross when you are working so hard to protect your capital that it results in taking bad losses. The key here is to have strong risk management practices and then the discipline to follow them. 3. Mindset You must have the mindset of an investor or trader, off-loading past baggage. Sometimes this is learned much later how important this is. Now, let's get to the list of the 5, let's assume we have the NON-NEGOTIABLE 3 from the previous list nailed down. They are the rite of passage. So this list is really a set of technical items that qualify the investing or trading opportunity. Whether you are a long-term, buy and hold investor or a short-term trader. These are not listed in any particular order... 1. Multi-timeframe momentum 2. Multi-timeframe probability 3. Related-market probability 4. Market structure location 5. Time 1. Multi-timeframe momentum Ultimately for most of us there are larger forces than us acting on any given market. So, it is crucial to know the level of participation of those who have the bigger influence in the market and how fast they are pushing it. 2. Multi-timeframe probability Similar to momentum, we need to understand the probability of a given price location on multiple timeframes. 3. Related-market probability If we are going to invest in a market, we need to spend the time and energy to understand related markets and how they are behaving. Here's a simple example. When gasoline decreases in price what industries are inversely correlated? Airlines, transportation, and so forth. Know the related markets and understand their probabilities and direction. 4. Market structure location In the end it is momentum and probability that create market structure. The popular locations to invest, the popular prices, the prices that are avoided. In general market structure is a by-product of momentum and probability. 5. Time This is a critical one that is often overlooked. Some times it is expressed in seasonality, such as the example I gave on gasoline which may increase or decrease at certain times of the year. It is important to know timing for your market and the factors influencing the timing. To say it another way...this is all about understanding CONTEXT. Know your market's context, and the 5 things I mentioned here will help with that. So, we need the two lists: 1. The Non-Negotiable 3 item list; do not proceed to "GO" or collect $200 to use a Monopoly analogy until you have made significant progress on those. 2. The Technicals list; get the context of your market to benefit your investing or trading decision. Thanks for joining and until next time...get your two lists!!

Do you think the act of using social media is going to regress and become a fad?    Jamie Shanks, CEO of Sales for Life, is here to tell you that society is going to use digital platforms more and more. This is especially relevant when it comes being a successful sales leader. Social selling isn't a new thing but it is still in it's growing phases. That means the online buyer and seller relationship trends are going upwards. With the world around us becoming more digital, it only makes sense that the buyer and seller need to start meeting in that digital world.  The question is: Are you ready for the transition from analogue to digital?   In episode 43 of the Digital Delusion, we sit down with Jamie Shanks author of The Social Selling Mastery book to discuss exactly how to become a top sales leader in the digital world. Jamie shares tips and tools that are key to a smooth and speedy transition. In his experience training 300 plus global customers, Jamie has perfected a daily sales routine called FEED that can be taught in 30 days yielding results you can see within 60-90 days. Let's face it, buyers have become digital from underneath you and its time to future proof your business.    In this Episode!   Jamie shares with us the process of what it takes to be the best online sales leader and how to future proof your business by joining the digitization. You'll learn important steps and processes like:  The evolution of sales from analogue to online and how to bridge the gap: “Let the seller beware the buyers is now an informed buyer.”  Why the “broke-fix” model won't work in online sales  Three stages to become the best online sales leader Triggers that indicate you need to make a change to your sales leadership Strategies to become a top social seller The two biggest pitfalls to avoid when selling online How to get out of the “dead zone” and make the sale Learn to use a daily routine called FEED to increase online sales How to get ready for the inevitable digitization of the commercial sales force   3 strategies for sales leaders looking to improve their online sales force   1. Undergo a mindset shift, a skillset shift and a toolkit shift “I'm a believer that every seller or sales leader needs to go through three stages. You basically have to go through a mindset shift, a skillset shift, and then you have to go to a toolkit shift to help you.    Mindset: You have to recognize that as a leader you're willing to look at your own playbook and how your coaching and leading and keeping my team accountable and say, ‘Guess what the world has evolved around me and I am willing to admit that I need to change my skills. I need to address the new buyer.' And so that mindset shift has to come first. They say you know what the playbook I've been running maybe it's not good enough anymore.    Skillset: Arming yourself with the information to understand what are the new digital activities you should be measuring. What are the skills that the team needs to have? And a lot of that is going to be foreign to the sales leader.    Toolkit: Turn to your sales enablement team or a third party and say, ‘Help teach this to me.' Go find a way to learn new tools and arm yourself with these.” 2. Get more yield and throughput for your sales reps   “‘Improve your skills by saying, ‘Hey, the phone and email is not the only way to strike up a conversation and to generate new business!'   There are two valuable ways to get more yield and throughput. One is training & education and skills. Second is sales automation and tools which create efficiencies within the sales model. Companies are segmenting their sales professionals to not do all the all the tasks from top of the funnel the bottom of funnel. Hyper-specialization is a way that companies are improving yield and throughput. This is exactly what social selling is. It's a process that every sales professional should throw into their into their tool kit. Its like icing on the cake. You need to have a baseline sales methodology or the baseline way of selling.” 3. Avoid the two biggest pitfalls of selling online “Two major pitfalls I see with online sales all the time:   1. First, frontline sales managers falling down and not keeping accountability or coaching towards the very digital activities that would drive results. So basically they look at social selling is like a pill or a widget and they say, ‘OK let's, let's educate our team and then magic is going to happen.' Well, no. Every week in your one-on-ones keep the team accountable to the same activities. That are going to drive success.  2. The second is marketing. You know teams will work towards a social selling goal as a sales force but then marketing doesn't get involved. You can't have content and digital assets without marketing. So they have to be a part of the program as well.”   Great Moment   “I want to be able to train over a million sales professionals globally and make a massive impact on the sales community. And so for the next five years it's just one-by-one sales professionals moving from an analog world to a digital world. And tools will evolve and change, but at the end of the day the digitization of the commercial sales force is an inevitability and we want to help that.”    Check This Out! Awesome Mentions in this Episode: Sales for Life The Social Selling Mastery  Jamie Shanks - LinkedIn The 67% Diagram Jamie Shanks Inspiring Quotes! “The crux of social selling is, whether you like it or not, your buyers are going to learn. You cannot stop that.” “Almost 50 percent of the learning and buying journey can happen without a sales professional.” “In our world there's digital natives and digital immigrants. The average sales leader is what's known as a digital immigrant.” “We teach sales professionals FEED: Find, Engage, Educate and Develop as a daily social selling routine. Its executable every deal, every day!” “We bring in a training programs that help the frontline sales managers, sales professionals, and the marketers all beat to the same drum.” “The reality is, if I don't believe in YOU then I'm definitely not going to believe in the solutions you represent.” How to Say Hello to Jamie Shanks (and Us!)   Please stop by and say hello to us on social media: Jamie Shanks, CEO of Sales for Life Homepage Jamie Shanks LinkedIn @jamietshanks on Twitter Doyle Buehler Homepage Doyle Buehler on Twitter Thanks for listening and please feel free to connect with host Doyle Buehler on Twitter @DoyleBuehler, with the hashtag #ownline, Breaking Digital on Facebook, by email at doyle@thedigitaldelusion.com, or get a copy of the international best seller - The Digital Delusion -www.thedigitaldelusion.com/3 or on Amazon: http://amzn.to/1V819mQ If you enjoyed the show please give a rating or review on iTunes!    About Breaking Digital Podcast   Breaking Digital with host Doyle Buehler is the digital "dirty" talk podcast for enterprise & entrepreneurs who are making an impact online and who are motivated to be better. Today I want to talk to you about commitment and share with you four key strategies to help you stay committed to performing the right actions in your business to create massive results. Being that last weekend was the Breakthrough Academy Live event, I want to talk about commitment because it’s an appropriate topic. Many attend an event or training and you have this new motivation and enthusiasm for your business. Then you get back and Monday comes around, then Tuesday, and it’s harder to get out of bed, and then Wednesday and Thursday and before you know if you have not changed at all! Commitment is very simply doing the thing you said you would do long after the mood you said it in has left you. It is easy to be committed when you’re in a peak state. But when you are not in that environment anymore it is much harder. Many people are committed until it doesn’t fit in their schedule or its too tough. You must be taking action every single day as these actions will really tell you who you are committed to. The four keys to commitment: Mindset – You must learn to discipline your mind to stay with the commitment. You must learn to overcome the obstacles that are going to come your way. It is a necessary part of success to deal with negativity, rejection, and failure. You must learn to recognize your own greatness and stop being someone your note! You need to remove the fearful thinking that is surrounding yourself. Self-doubt will kill your commitment. Mindset is everything! Refine Your Goals – You can’t hit a target if you don’t know what the target is. You must make clear and specific goals and know exactly what it is and exactly what you need to do to get there. Some of you have no idea what you need to do to get to the next level. Get very specific! Change Your Focus – What we focus on is what we feel. Be grateful for the team you have and the results you’ve created but focus on the future. Forget about the past and focus on where you want to go! Do not wait to feel motivated. The problem is some of you don’t feel motivated and you wait to act. Motivation is very simple. Motivation comes through disciplined action. Sometimes you must force yourself to do it even when you don’t feel like it. Champions commit to disciplined actions every single day and they pay very little attention to how they feel. Accountability – I highly recommend you find someone that can hold you accountable to the disciplined actions that you need to take. Every single week you need to monitor how close you are to your goals and be rooted in the reality of your business at every single moment. With all this, make sure you celebrate the small wins. I really want to challenge you to stay committed to your goals and don’t fall into the trap of having that moment of inspiration to have a bigger and better life and then having that fade away! Follow these four keys principles and stay committed to your business!

F53-065: How Is Fear Preventing You From Being Your Best

Show Summary: Today's show is about FEARS. I'm going to try to keep this in the business context but as you can imagine this bleeds all over the place. Fear, for me, as I work on myself, on my business, and my mental, spiritual, and personal sides of the house, I've noticed that fear dictates and controls a lot of what I do, and more specifically, what I don't do. There are all types of fears and I'm going to cover a few of them here.   Fear of failure We don't appreciate how much this controls us. I see this with a lot of business owners, individuals, and businesses I work with. One of the ways I see fear of failure happening is you will work with anyone that comes to your business. Your fear of not making money takes over so you'll just work with anybody and that will kill you in the long run. In a more traditional sense, it's the fear of doing something because you're afraid you're going to fail, of what you'd look like if you failed, and of how that would feel to you.   Fear of success People do have the fear of success for some things. You project yourself in your head that you're having a certain level of success but that success comes with other things like making more money than your friends or you're making enough that your family is going to ask you for money or you have to pay more taxes - any of these other things that come with success. More pressure is another thing. In the corporate world, success often equates to more responsibility, more travel, more hours, etc.   Fear of rejection This would come in the form of whether you're being rejected by your peers for not being a thought leader, or being rejected by the common audience for not pleasing them, or for saying something to somebody and afraid that they'll reject you so you instead say what they want to hear. This fear of rejection is what keeps you from being your true and genuine self. You're not going to hear yes every time. Honestly, this is a big one for me as I am a people-pleaser at my core. As I continue to coach, consult or work with people, I find that the more genuine I am to myself and the more I serve somebody with no fear of them rejecting what I'm doing or saying, the better I produce for them, the more genuine I am, and the better results they have. They may reject a thought or an idea but I don't visualize it as thinking that I'm a bad person, which is often the case.   Fear of missing out This comes all the time in the business world. You might call it the shiny object syndrome or the new project syndrome or the "I can't keep my shit together and focus on a project" syndrome. There's a new project, a new idea, a thought, a new customer, etc, and if you don't go do it or spend time on it, you're afraid that you're missing out on something. This is the biggest problem. You're not focused. You're afraid of missing out that you spend all this mental energy on what could have been or what you've missed out on while you're missing a really good opportunity with the business you already have.   Fear of what others may think You have this sense of fear that what you say, do, accomplish, or don't accomplish will not be good enough for them. They may think down upon you. This is a combination of all the fears put together. Probably 9 out of 10, this is your own fear in your own head and doesn't truly reflect what you think. For example, if I started a business and it went south, it's not that I was afraid of failure, but I was afraid my best friend or my wife would think that I am a loser. The reality is, they won't. Because that's just not how they are. They don't view a single failure in the sense that you are a failure. These are two very different things. I still care about what my wife or best friend or other people think but I don't have fear that my actions done in the best of interest, with the best of mindsets, are going to be something that persuades them to dislike me. They may not have liked my actions or business ideas, but I no longer have any fear that they may think I'm a bad guy because a business didn't go well. This may manifest with you in a lot of different ways and I see it manifest in business and business owners I've worked with.   Having the Athlete's Mindset You seldom see this kind of fear in the sports arena, specifically on the field. You don't think about what the person next to you thinks about you in the heat of the battle. This is the mindset that you want to get into. Now, once you go out of the field and back to the locker room to watch films, that's when fear begins to hit you as you're sitting there being peer-reviewed. Your fear of what others think comes into play when you slow things down and you begin to think a little irrationally. The funny thing is you're sitting there in fear of what the other person sitting next to you would think while he's also thinking what you are thinking. The reality is... no one really gives a crap. The same analogy applies to business. At the end of the day, the more fear you can let go of, the more fears that you can identify, the more you're able to sense their true meaning in your life and not let them control what you do, the better off you are. This is a big focus for me to work on the fears, the things that guide my thoughts, and more importantly, the things that prevent me from taking action where a lot of them are fear-based. There are more different types of fear and different ways they're being manifested inside a business and life in general. Hit me up if you want to know more about them.   Books, People, & Resources: I'm researching former professional athletes and how they transition from being an athlete or a new lead athlete into the "real world." I'm interested in hearing about their struggles, their challenges, roadblocks, successes, and everything in between. Sports has always been a big part of my life. I love them. I have a special interest in athletes and specifically the ones that have competed at the highest levels. Do you know anyone like that? If so, I'd love to hear from them or maybe it's even you. Paige Filliater Talks About Tips, Tools and Mindset to Having Success With Social Media Do the efforts you put into your business pay off? If you don’t know what you’re missing then you can’t change anything and you’ll always get the same results. In this episode of Enlightened Entrepreneur Podcast, Social Media expert, Paige Filliater, talks about her journey from earning two to three thousand dollars to a whopping six-figure income per month. Paige has certainly proved to be the go-to person when it comes to social media marketing, and here’s why.   Key Questions Asked: How did Paige get started with her journey? What advice would she give someone who is afraid of getting started? What do business owners need to do in order to move from their current ROI to making a six-digit income? What type of mindset do start-up business owners need to have in order to achieve success in their business? What steps should business owners follow if they are having struggles with re-structuring their packages? How has mentorship helped Paige achieve great in her business in such a short span of time? How does Paige go about identifying the right person to work with? What criteria did she use in finding a mentor? What are the tools that Paige use in her business? Given the chance to start all over again with her business, what would Paige do differently? What stopped her at first from doing those things?   Highlights of Lessons Learned: According to Paige, it only takes one client to jump start your business. So find that client to help you get your feet wet and see what kind of results you get. Hiring a VA enabled Paige to focus more on what she’s good at. Mentors or coaches are the ones who know what you need to do or have been where you are, and thus can help you get to where you want to go. Mindset: You need to look at what you do as a gift and as a transformation for somebody as opposed to something they’re paying you for, or the idea the thought that they’re paying you for your time. They’re not paying you for your time, they’re paying for the transformation that you’re providing. The first step every business owner needs to take is knowing who the person is you want to serve -and not just who needs what you’re offering, but those who can afford really investing themselves. Identifying the person to work with: Paige looks at a few things, such as who she could get the best transformation for with her gifts and my. Criteria for mentor: It’s about how they make you feel, and whether they are giving you immediate results that you can use and get immediate results from. Assigning value to your time and for each task that needed to get done will help you determine whether it’s best to give them to the VA. Given the chance to start all over again, Paige would outsource sooner and would hire a mentor sooner. According to Paige, investing in your business is not the same as investing in yourself. You have to invest in yourself as well as in your business.

Have you ever wondered how to unlock your true potential? Most people focus on igniting the wrong things. What if you knew how enhance the three keys—that already exist within you—to reach the level of happiness and success you want? Join career expert, motivator, and award-winning author Andrew LaCivita as he discusses how to unlock your true potential! Here they are: 1. Share yourself. Sharing your own story connects you to the rest of the world. Sharing what you learned and how you were transformed benefits others even if they might do it differently. 2. Be yourself. This is what keeps you connected to you. There is no greater struggle than when what you think, say, and do are not in complete harmony. Think about those times you felt out of sync or not yourself. What was missing? Likely, it was that congruence. 3. Give yourself. This is what connects you to higher powers. It also, oddly, provides the greatest return. This starts with contributing your efforts fully to what you’re going to do and give to the rest of this world. This is giving everything you have to your calling. Giving yourself—which yields the highest results—requires four components/characteristic: - Strategy: You have a strategy for where you’re going in life. You seek an understanding of why the world works the way it does in this area. You question everything. You take nothing at face value. - Mindset: You maintain a particular mindset. You understand limitations are something of the mind, not the universe. - Practice: Once you have your strategy and no-limits mindset in place, you practice to perfection. By practice, I don’t mean brute force. Brute force or mindlessly working hard will never overcome intellectual laziness. You practice with an extreme sense of deliberation. You practice your craft well past the point of being able to do it perfectly. You practice it to the point you couldn’t possibly make a mistake because you are so dialed in. - Discomfort: You seem to live in a continual state of discomfort. Of course, I’m not talking about living in pain, but continually pushing yourself so that every day you’re a bit uncomfortable because you’re constantly trying new activities and undertaking new projects that progress you. You embrace this discomfort because you know it will make you a great pioneer.
