For this one Tyler and Kody would just like to express how much they appreciate Ali Wong. The boys watched "Always Be My Maybe" written by Ali Wong and Randall Park, and directed by Nahnatchka Khan. Coming out of the viewing, the boys were charmed by the genuine romance and historical comedy. Already of fans of Ali Wong's stand up comedy, this film just put them head over heels.
Strike First. Strike Hard. No Mercy. In the next selection of Nips, the boys sit down to ingest Cobra Kai. It's been a few years since either of them have seen The Karate Kid, so this was nice throw back. Bringing back a lot of the major characters from the 80's films, Cobra Kai was a nice surprise burst of entertainment.
With football now officially back the boys saw it fitting to discuss a gem of a football movie. They travel back to the 90's and visit West Canaan Texas, the setting of Brian Robbin's," Varsity Blues." Starring Jame Van Der Beek, Jon Voight, and Paul Walker, Kody and Tyler discuss the impact of this film and how our view of concussions have changed since.
2020 has been a horrible year, but in the end it brings some hope. We will finally see the l long awaited legend, that is the Dune remake. Denis Villeneuve has embarked on a long and difficult journey. At the end he will hopefully delivery to us what can be the greatest science fiction movie of all time. Today the boys take on a film that has been controversial with fandoms and industry folks like: Justice League. This DC film didn't have great success early on, only earning $94 million on it's opening weekend, falling $2 million short of the studios estimates. Critics and fans both harshly reviewed the film saying the Avengers rival was disappointing. The failure of the film might be heavily contributed from director Zack Snyder having to leave in the middle of shooting because of a family emergency. Joss Whedon took over, and according to many reports, proceeded to re-shoot a majority of the film. Tune in to listen to our unwanted opinion and share yours in turn.
