With more than one million podcasts for you to listen to, finding one that fits your needs can be overwhelming. The Friendly Podcast Guide is here to help you discover the right podcast by giving you pertinent details and helping you get a feel for the show, in 5 to 10 minutes.
The Friendly Podcast Guide is an absolute gem for anyone in search of new podcasts to listen to. Hosted by Andi, this show provides short and sweet episodes that introduce listeners to a wide variety of podcasts across different categories. What sets this podcast apart is the genuine and honest vibe that Andi brings to each episode. She does an amazing job of giving her audience the lowdown on important podcasts, making it easy for busy individuals to find the perfect shows for their specific interests.
One of the best aspects of The Friendly Podcast Guide is how it simplifies the process of searching for great podcasts. With so many options available, it can be overwhelming and time-consuming to find shows that resonate with you. Andi's curated guides save listeners valuable time by providing specific recommendations tailored to their needs and preferences. Whether you're a mom looking for family-friendly shows or an adult seeking entertainment, this podcast has something for everyone. The format of the show is also worth mentioning, as Andi expertly introduces each podcast and its host, making it easier for listeners to decide if it's a good fit.
While there aren't many negative aspects about The Friendly Podcast Guide, one minor downside is that since episodes are only 10 minutes long, there isn't much time for in-depth discussions about each podcast. However, this is understandable given the format and purpose of the show - to provide quick get-to-know-you segments on a variety of shows. It serves as a great starting point for finding new podcasts but doesn't delve too deep into any particular topic.
In conclusion, The Friendly Podcast Guide is an invaluable resource for podcast enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Andi's passion and knowledge shine through in every episode as she champions podcasts and helps connect people with great shows across various genres. If you're looking for a time-saving way to discover new podcasts that align with your interests, look no further than The Friendly Podcast Guide.

What is podcast SEO? In this episode Andi chats with Brittany Herzberg (the queen of SEO) and breaks down how we can use SEO for our podcasts in a way that doesn't make me want to run away screaming. How do you avoid burning out as a mom with a podcast? In this episode I give you 3 mistakes that I made that led to me burning out and how to avoid them. Starting a podcast in 2025 is really pretty simple. Podcasting changed my life for the better in so many ways. If you want to start a podcast, here are the 10 things that will help you make it happen in 2025! I've been in the podcasting world for almost 4 years and I've been helping a lot of women start their own podcasts in the past year. Here's what I would do if I was starting a podcast in 2025: Do video from the beginning Use Descript Figure out your niche Have a workflow Do seasons Buy a dynamic microphone Have a month's worth of content before launching Create a trailer Find a couple of podcast coaches to follow on social media Don't have download goals have number of episode goals Topics discussed in this episode include: Podcast microphones Video podcasting Podcast editing Avoiding podcast burnout Podcast trailers Podcast niche Takeaways from this episode: Doing a video podcast isn't as daunting as you think it is. Having a seasonal show will help you avoid burnout by giving you built in breaks. Only have one or two podcast coaches that you take advice from. If you have more than that you will get overwhelmed. Friendly Podcast Guide: Season 2 launches September 3rd! Hi! I'm Andi Smiley, the Friendly Podcast Guide, and I've been in the podcasting world for 4 years. I've learned so much during that time, but I still don't know everything. That's why on my show I talk to podcast hosts I admire about their skills and insights so that you and I can improve our shows in a way that leaves us feeling empowered and not bogged down by more busy work. Podcasting is such an amazing tool for us to amplify our voices and serve our communities (and by us I mean women with kids who are still at home). But podcasting definitely has its challenges too, like: stagnant download numbers, feeling alone and drowning in all of the things that we “should” be doing. Join me every week as we learn together from podcasters that I admire so we can elevate our shows without it taking over our lives.

For the month of May, which is ALS Awareness Month, I'm dedicating all of the Friendly Podcast Guide episodes to helping raise awareness of ALS and the amazing people in this community such as the I AM ALS organization. Almost a year ago, my brother passed away from complications with ALS. Before Ryan was diagnosed, I had a vague knowledge of what ALS is, but that was it. I didn't know that there is no cure and no treatments that are able to prolong the life of someone with ALS. Now, I am intimately aware of this disease and I want to be part of the movement that is helping the ALS community thrive and eventually find a cure. I AM ALS is an organization on the forefront of that mission. Links from this Episode: I AM ALS Donation Page View the rest of the show notes on the Friendly Podcast Guide Website

I used to be one of those people that had to have my New Year's resolutions or affirmation in place and concrete by January 1st. A couple of years ago, when I had sick kids for the whole week between Christmas and New Year's, I realized how silly it was to put an arbitrary deadline on something that I was hoping to work on for an entire year. I decided that the entire month of January is when I would figure out what my new year will look like. That's why I decided to wait until a little bit later in January to talk about some personal development podcasts you might want to listen to as you figure out what 2024 is going to look like for you.
