An interview with Belgium-based band Emptiness regarding their new 2021 album Vide via Season Of Mist. Starting out as a more or less traditional blackened death metal band in the late 90's it wasn't until 2014's Nothing But The Whole that they really started turning heads with a sudden left turn in their sound; one that became only further apparent with 2017's appropriately titled and even more experimental Not For Music. Vide sees the band only veer further away from convention in favor of introspection and deconstruction. We discuss the album, writing for a core concept as opposed to a genre, and much more.Join us on DISCORD! https://discord.gg/7QTAesh5PpBecome a Supporter! https://www.patreon.com/metaltrencheshttps://www.subscribestar.com/metal-trenchesSUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER: http://eepurl.com/dogQCDConnect:https://metaltrenches.comhttps://www.minds.com/metaltrencheshttps://www.facebook.com/metaltrenches/https://metaltrenches.bandcamp.com/https://twitter.com/MetalTrencheshttps://www.instagram.com/metal.trenchesTheme Song: The Hudson Horror – “What The Moon Brings”Background art thanks in part to Kim Holm: https://denungeherrholm.smugmug.com/I do not own the rights to any of the featured song clips on this video. Interview with A Scent Like Wolves talking about their new album Mystic Auras. A Scent Like Wolves is an American metalcore band based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mystic Auras is a concept album that sets out to uncover the things we desire and why we are drawn to them. Lyrical content on the release ranges from the plights of socioeconomic status quo, depression, the stigma of mental illness, to the deconstruction of personal and intimate relationships. These are all common themes that are explored in some light throughout the progression of the album. The LP features notable guest appearances from JT Cavey (ERRA), Booka Nile (MAKE THEM SUFFER), Brian Wille (CURRENTS), and Mattéo Gelsomino (NOVELISTS). Interview with thrash and hardcore band Enforced. Formed in 2016, Richmond, Virginia's ENFORCED cultivate their own volatile, hardcore fury into the thrash crossover sound of the late ‘80s.
