Female February gets going in earnest for 2025 with the newest album from Poppy, Negative Spaces from 2024!
Roestig. Hoe debieler hoe beter! This week: a sister-cast episode to a series we have called the Inbetweeners where we on the bands straddling the 80s and 90s in rock n' punk n' metal. This is more specific to metal in the 90s after feeling the impact of the overwhelming shifting of sounds during the decade. Metal became a dirty word by the mid-90s as grunge and alternative took over the rock world, but a new movement in the metal genre blended all of these influences with the heavy. Thus, we give you - 90s Alternative Metal! What's this InObscuria thing? Our podcast exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. This week we cover mostly bands that have been forgotten including some bands that we played early on in the podcast. The transition from the heavy metal 80s to the punk-edged alternative of the 90s was a time like no other, and metal bands that began during this time put it all in an industrial-strength metal blender. Hope ya dig! Songs this week include:Quicksand – “Thorn In My Side” from Manic Compression (1995)Fragile Porcelain Mice – “Brown Nickel” from Frostbiddin (1996)Therapy? – “Nasuea” from Nurse (1992)Corrosion Of Conformity – “Clean My Wounds” from Deliverance (1994)Prong – “Unconditional” from Prove You Wrong (1991)Fight – “I Am Alive” from A Small Deadly Space (1995)Life Of Agony – “This Time” from River Runs Red (1993)Please subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts!Visit us: https://inobscuria.com/https://www.facebook.com/InObscuriahttps://twitter.com/inobscuriahttps://www.instagram.com/inobscuria/Buy cool stuff with our logo on it!: https://www.redbubble.com/people/InObscuria?asc=uCheck out Robert's amazing fire sculptures and metal workings here: http://flamewerx.com/If you'd like to check out Kevin's band THE SWEAR, take a listen on all streaming services or pick up a digital copy of their latest release here: https://theswear.bandcamp.com/If you want to hear Robert and Kevin's band from the late 90s – early 00s BIG JACK PNEUMATIC, check it out here: https://bigjackpnuematic.bandcamp.com/
Onderwerpen: Blood Incantation - The Stargate [Tablet I] (00:00) Introductie over fluitende radiatoren en pragmatische bouwvakkers (00:10) Vier vijf jaar Osmium en plak stickers!

Terrazas-González began developing his musical ability starting at the age of eleven. He was inclined to play the flute and the tenor saxophone with an understanding of classical music and a distinct attraction to jazz, and five years later chose to take on the clarinet. His grandmother, a "Danzón Nut" according to Terrazas-González, urged her grandson in that direction, but the young player was adamant towards a newfound paragon for himself: Hubert Laws. In May 2002 Terrazas-González was diagnosed with Cancer that spread to his stomach and abdomen, treatments included surgery and extensive radiation treatment to the stomach and abdomen. In 2004, he was declared cancer free and in the same year he joined the band The Mars Volta as a full-flesh member. From The Mars Volta (Earning his first GRAMMY in 2008) years to an Alternative Metal, and or a Chamber Music pad. Terrazas-González's professional involvement with the music industry has continued to develop in Los Angeles, California leading T.R.A.M. one of the strongest lineups in music. This dignified and prolific musician collaborates with an eclectic number of international musicians, tours internationally on an intense and annual schedule, and endless collaborations, all the while teaching workshops to numerous school districts and universities around the globe. This week we pay homage to bands straddled the world of the 80s hard n' heavy and the 90s alternative n' grunge. These were bands that were somewhat outside of the status quo specifically in the hard rock and metal world that seemed to be playing music that was more genre and categorization-defying. Thus we created our own non-genre called; The Inbetweeners! What's this InObscuria thing? We're a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. This week we cover all 3 categories and even some bands that we played early on in the podcast. The transition from the hard rockin' 80s to the punk-edged alternative of the 90s was a time like no other, and some bands simply got caught in the middle. Go and check out these songs and the albums that they come from and enjoy some music from The Inbetweeners!
