We pick up just after: As they enter a scrapyard of gargantuan metal Warforged the party is greeted by a powder blue female Tiefling bard, who has been expecting them. Three other figures appear, a female Aasimar Paladin, a male Loxodon Cleric, and The Constable, who informs them that he just wants Thai. Memories of their first introduction to Strahd, the night they lost Ireena flash, and the group refuses to comply. Shanks takes the first shot and triggers a quick and intense volley; before long, they are pincered. Put into an impossible situation, Thai gives himself up, and in an instant, they all disappear. In this episode we Roll For Warforged, those pseudo robotic, sentient machines built as weapons for war.We discuss the official lore of the Warforged and come up with some weird and wonderful backstories of our own.

On the trip from Rosewall back to Liam's manor, Rou suggests that The Dragon's revelation about a Warforged might not be in reference to Eight. Though they have doubts as to the truth of that suggestion, they both agree that they need to remain vigilant. The conversation eventually turns to how they should handle further meetings with the cultists, since they recognize that many followers may not be evil at their core. When they arrive at Liam's manor, they recount their adventures over the last two months, including the meeting in Rosewall. Liam does not reveal a strong reaction to the news, and eventually leaves Eight and Rou to finish their meal and rest while he prepares the spell. When the time comes for the spell, Liam provides Eight with a small token of protection from their enemies. Eight offers to help Rou practice his new sword skills, but once Rou realizes Eight just plans to stand there he encourages the Warforged to grab a weapon and fight back. Over the course of their journey, Eight changes from a target to a sparring partner.One day, they begin to hear the sound of drums in the distance. Following the sound of the drums, they come upon a village called Springpoint. While preparing to leave Kidohlva, each member of the group takes the opportunity to tie up some loose ends. Arthas spends his final two days trying out the various restaurants in the city, and stocking up on supplies.Rou heads to the library, spending his last two days researching Warforged and Giant-kin in an attempt to better understand his companions. He also requests help from Arthas in learning how to use a sword, something that Arthas is more than happy to help with.Eight pays a visit to the head of the council, a Silarin named Latham, to learn what they can about the Jruna family. Although there isn't much the council member can share, Latham is at least able to direct Eight toward the records in Baukora and provides them with a copy of the information.Once the group is out of the mountains and clear of the city Azarra, they come upon a crossroads in their travels where a woman sells produce.
