Line Up : Laure Brisa, harpe, voix, machines. Traduction : Soraya Camillo.► Album O Futuro E Mais Bonito (Uguru 2023).Anna Setton instagram Anna Setton facebook.

As in undersea internet cables. The competition between the U.S. and China is about national security and economic security, and these cables that connect our global economy touch both. Reuters published an extensive report on how the U.S. and China are facing off over who should build these cables and where they should connect to land. We take a closer look. Plus, home sales usually surge in the spring. But so far that’s not been the case. We take a look at why and what’s happening with prices for housing.

Have you ever thought or wondered, "If I lived it would be so much easier to meet someone"? This is a conversation and conundrum I cross with most clients. And it's one I, too, struggled with. I was fixated on the idea I had to live in New York City to meet someone — that I'd never meet someone upstate. Lo and behold, I met my husband upstate. In this quick episode I'm walking through how to unearth the location that best serves you, best aligns with your unique needs as a human, which in turn translates to meeting someone most aligned with your life.https://www.ithinkilikeyou.co/Join us for Sip + Swipe (12/15)!

Coach Stanfill already has 101 victories as she enters her 5th season as Head Coach. In episode 225 UNP founder and curator Grant Scott is in his shed reflecting on posting images on Twitter, and working for free. He is also joined by photographer Jim Mortram to talk about his #PhotoPrintDay. Plus this week, photographer Guy Dickinson takes on the challenge of supplying Grant with an audio file no longer than 5 minutes in length in which he answer's the question ‘What Does Photography Mean to You?' Born in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, Guy Dickinson trained as an Architect in London, winning a number of awards including the RIBA President's Medal. He has been an associate at John Pawson since 2003. The seeds of his tracing silence project, established in 2011, were sown during a 14 day immersion in the Yorkshire Moors in 1992. Experimenting with methods of construction, weaving, stitching, thatching and casting, he created a series of simple shelters that sought to unearth the intrinsic nature of the places he inhabited. Now utilising the mediums of photography and poetry, Guy's work continues to explore place, but also the consonance between internal and external passage, the similitude between the passage of thoughts and the passage of the body. He scours, combs and sifts, eyes shifting from foreground to background, from details to horizons, looking to tease out some essence of how we perceive the world around us. Recent work saunters from the sparse to the suffocating. Horizon, depth of field and perspective have been slowly relinquished in favour of texture, tone and surface. Developed through a cycling process of layering and distillation, these quietly cartographic fields invite us to look again at the landscape and the miry complexity of our place within it. His book Passage was published by Another Place press in 2022. www.tracingsilence.com Dr. Grant Scott is the founder/curator of United Nations of Photography, a Senior Lecturer and Subject Co-ordinator: Photography at Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, a working photographer, documentary filmmaker, BBC Radio contributor and the author of Professional Photography: The New Global Landscape Explained (Routledge 2014), The Essential Student Guide to Professional Photography (Routledge 2015), New Ways of Seeing: The Democratic Language of Photography (Routledge 2019). Locked On HBCU - Daily Podcast On HBCU Football & Basketball
Art Briles is the new Grambling offensive coordinator. I am not a fan of this hire at all. I think this move is detrimental to the culture. Grambling knew the controversy was going to come and still did it. This move has even led Doug Williams away from the school. Savannah State is the number 1 seed in the SIAC tournament and the most dominant force in the conference. They only loss one game, so we look at how they performed before and after the loss. That resilience they showed at an important part of their season was impressive. The USFL start up draft is over and there were 15 HBCU players drafted. This represents a chance to continue living the dream. That dream has been alive since we were kids, to play football forever. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The twelfth book in the bestselling Chronicles of St Mary's series. If you love Jasper Fforde, Ben Aaronovitch or Doctor Who, you won't be able to resist Jodi Taylor. 'It's time, Max.' And so, a whole new chapter opens up... It's long been known that if a thing can go wrong, it will. With knobs on, usually. Disasters start to pile up. A new colleague with no respect for the past and a great deal to prove. Historians lost in time. And - worst of all - Rosie Lee on her very first jump. Then there's the small matter of Max's dishonourable discharge. From Tudor England to the Tower of Babel - it's all going horribly wrong. Jobless and homeless, Max receives an offer she can't refuse. Another time, another place. A refuge, perhaps. She's got that wrong, too.
I speak with CHRYSTIE SHERMAN, a photographer who documents the loss and disappearance of Jewish communities. Coinciding with the beginning of the Jewish Passover holiday, her art captures themes of exodus, migration, nomadic wandering, and the longing for a homeland .... universal questions, very much alive today.
Anna Fox's father died at a young age. Her experience with the doctors who cared for him was disappointing at best, so when it came to dealing with her own health problems she took the holistic route - and with good results. When life became difficult and stressful, Anna escaped through writing - her favorite creative and therapeutic outlet. She is now the author of Another Place in Time - a romantic suspense fantasy that takes place in the spirit realm. The book is a great read - and this will be a fun episode, so join us live or watch the recording at your convenience. After all, who doesn't want to go to another place in time right now?
Adelaide based singer and harp player Snooks La Vie acquired his moniker from a friend and music colleague which started out as just a bit of fun and stuck amongst his peers for being known as an avid fan of New Orleans musician ‘Snooks Eaglin'. Snooks gained national recognition in Australia as the frontman for The Hiptones-- an Australian answer to The Fabulous Thunderbirds. The Hiptones signed with Sony Records and won the South Australian Music Award for best blues band/act in 1997. Snooks took home the South Australian Blues Vocalist of the Year in 2008, 2009, and 2010. In more recent years, Snooks made a fine record in a country vein, "Another Place in Time" and a country blues record with Australian guitarist Nikko called "Way Back Home" Nikko and Snooks competed in the IBCs in Memphis in 2017. Today Snooks finds still finds the time to collaborate with many artists in Australia, including his partner Courtney Robb. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
While the show takes sets itself in another time, another place, they actually episode called “Another Time, Another Place”. Fitting for a soap opera show name as it is an episode title here, this one flirts with a strong sci-fi concept that while interesting doesn't fully come together. Nonetheless, plenty of fun for Jim and […]
In the first sermon from our new Kingdom Politics series, Pastor Joel talks about why Christian engagement in politics is so difficult and why we need Kingdom civics instead of partisan ones. Acts 17 tells us pagans viewed the Christians as “turning the world upside down,” following a different king than Caesar. Today, Christians often aren't turning the world upside down, but instead look just like any other members of political parties. Christians should baffle the political order by refusing to be categorized neatly into established boxes. In this important sermon, we discuss what it means to be about the kingdom of God while still engaging politically in this complex time.
