Chewbacca and Orangutan: Descriptors in Yowie ReportsThe name "Chewbacca" is frequently used to describe the general appearance of a Yowie. Witnesses often refer to "Orangutan" when describing the color and look of the Yowie's hair. While there are black and white Yowies reported, the most common hair color described is a reddish brown. Some witnesses have noted longer hair under the arms, further enhancing the resemblance to an orangutan.Possible Origins: Gigantopithecus and IsolationThe orangutan's closest relative, Gigantopithecus, was believed to have been extinct for some time. However, evidence shows these creatures once lived in Indonesia, right near Australia. When sea levels rose and severed the land corridor connecting Australia to the rest of the world, any creatures present became landlocked—remaining isolated on the continent.Yowies in this area are often described as being covered in matted, orangutan-colored hair, with deep-set, large eyes that lack visible eye color—only dark or black eye balls. Their facial skin appears gray. Some speculate that the orange-colored Yowie may represent its own distinct species.Wollomombi is situated just west of Coffs Harbour and east of Armidale, within the Great Dividing Range. This region is known for frequent reports of Yowie and Big Cat sightings. When first discovered, this creature's reaction was one of shock, but, unlike many other cases, this did not escalate into aggression. Likely, it sensed more humans approaching and chose to flee. Notably, Yowie behavior can differ between day and night, and between encountering solo hikers versus groups, highlighting the importance of safety in numbers. For more comprehensive information, reports and history of the Yowie, visit our Website at www.yowiehunters.comSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/yowiehunters-witness-reports. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. — 1 Peter 5:8 Appreciation for cats is not universal. Kittycats, like lions, evoke a mixed response. In the Bible a lion can represent the sovereign strength of God—as in “the Lion of the tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5). Or think of Aslan, who represents Jesus in the Chronicles of Narnia. Peter mentions a different sort of lion, though, at the end of his first letter to early Christians in the New Testament. And he warns that this lion is hunting for believers in Christ. What's going on? Though many years had passed since the dramatic events of Jesus' death and resurrection, Peter continued to reflect on those early days of the church, knowing that Christians in later years would face opposition because of their faith in Christ. The same is true for many Christians throughout the world today. As he wrote from Rome to Christians who faced persecution in Asia Minor (present-day Turkey), Peter warned his readers, “Be alert and of sober mind.” Peter knew that he had failed in the past, and now he better understood why. So he warned Christians to be wary of their great enemy, the evil one, who, like a roaring lion, wanted to devour them. Knowing his own experience, Peter also offered a promise. God cares for us and will help us resist and stand firm. But when we fail, God will also restore us, as he did with Peter. Jesus, thank you for standing firm for us. Please help us to stand firm for you. Amen.

Max Hawthorne is an American author, screen and songwriter, as well as an avocational paleontologist. Referred to as the “Prince of Paleo-fiction”, he is best known for his Kronos Rising series of sci-fi suspense thrillers which have garnered both Book of the Year and People's Choice awards. He is the Amazon #1 bestselling author of the cryptid research book, Monsters & Marine Mysteries, Memoirs of a Gym Rat, an outrageous exposé of the health club industry, and the children's book I Want a Tyrannosaurus for Christmas. His song, A Tyrannosaurus for Christmas, peaked at #2 on the 2021 World Indie Charts. He has been interviewed by both The Washington Post and Fangoria Magazine and has appeared on QVC, Spaced Out Radio, Coast to Coast AM, and in A Tribe Called Quest's rap video, I Left My Wallet in El Segundo.Max's experiences with the unknown go back decades. In the summer of 1984, he encountered an unknown creature digging itself out of a grave in a cemetery in Philadelphia, PA. In that same region in 1989, he watched a UFO hurtling across the night sky do an impossible maneuver – a complete and instantaneous 180-degree reversal, with no deceleration or noticeable turning, at a speed that was at least three times that of the commercial jets below it (approximately Mach 2). During the summer of 1993, he observed a huge, anthropoid-like creature, which he believes to be a Sasquatch, for 10-15 minutes as it dived repeatedly for crayfish in a Connecticut lake. On November 22, 2016, Max and his daughter observed a winged entity that had apparently crash-landed in the street near their home. The creature had an estimated wingspan of 3-4 feet and, once it recovered, flew over the author's SUV. Since then, Max has had multiple encounters with cryptids, to the point he decided to begin documenting his experiences in order to share them with the world.Check out Max's author page, at: https://www.kronosrising.com/Max visits with Dean to talk about a brand new video he has just released on his Youtube channel, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG3EpE10fVQThe video, captured by Max on his home security camera, is of a large black cat. This unusual feline appears to possess the qualities of an incredibly rare cryptid known as an Alien Big Cat, Phantom Cat, Shapeshifter, or just Shifter.Max and Dean discuss the intriguing video, along with some of Max's other encounters with the anomalous. This is a fascinating and eerie episode, that you do not want to miss!
