How great is James Spader with this Ultron performance? Are there too many characters in this fully-loaded movie? Should they have written mutant characters when they couldn't use the word ‘mutant' anywhere in the script? And would Ultron have been more menacing if he was given a big, mechanical mustache? PLUS: What in the world is going on with the Maximoffs' accents here? Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Welcome back to Not A Bomb! This is the podcast where we explore some of cinema's biggest box failures and decide if they deserve a second chance. Unfortunately, Troy and Brad must say goodbye to the McConaughthon as our month dedicated to the one and only Matthew McConaughey comes to an end. In this week's episode, the guys discuss a film that was meant to launch a multi-media extravaganza. However, its lackluster box office performance and critical reception prevented it from getting off the ground. The gang examines The Dark Tower, which is loosely based on Stephen King's novel series of the same name. While the movie offers a simplified take on the books, does it motivate viewers to dive into the series? How many Stephen King Easter eggs can one film contain? Can Idris Elba rescue this aimless journey? Tune in to find out! The Dark Tower is directed by Nikolaj Arcel and stars Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Taylor, Claudia Kim, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee, and Jackie Earle Haley. Head over to the Not A Bomb Tee Public store and check them out. Special thanks to Ted Blair for the amazing designs! We're committed to hearing your feedback and suggestions. If there's a cinematic flop you'd like us to delve into, please reach out to us at NotABombPod@gmail.com or through our contact page. Your reviews and feedback are what drive us. Now You Know - Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore - Episode 67 The latest installment to the Harry Potter franchise is the third movie from the Fantastic Beasts films titled Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The film stars Eddie Redmayne in the lead as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald. Written by JK Rowling and Steve Kloves, the film is directed by David Yates, and the story follows Dumbledore, Newt and their allies as they attempt to thwart the dark wizard Grindelwald. Here are some lesser-known facts about the film. 1. Johnny Depp's much-publicized court battle with ex-wife Amber Heard amidst allegations of domestic abuse led to him being fired from the movie after filming just one scene. However, if reports are to be believed he walked away with his full $16 million salary due to the ‘pay or play' clause in his contract. 2. Steve Kloves, the original Harry Potter screenwriter, returned after 10 years to help JK Rowling with the script, after the underwhelming reception of the previous film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. 3. As a result of the global travel restrictions enforced due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the time of production, the scenes set in Rio de Janeiro could not be shot on location. So the production was moved to Bhutan instead with stills from Rio used in post-production. 4. The character of Abernathy, played by Kevin Guthrie, was cut from the script after Guthrie was found guilty in 2021 of sexually assaulting a woman in 2017. 5. Three of the actresses, Claudia Kim, Victoria Yeates, and Alison Sudol, were pregnant by the time production resumed, after being delayed by the global pandemic. Scenes involving Alison Sudol's character Queenie were either shot from behind or chest up, with the character always wearing black. While Victoria Yeates's character Bunty is always seen wearing a large coat and is often seen sitting down in most scenes. However, Claudia Kim's character Nagini, the human form of Voldermort's snake from the Harry Potter storyline, was very far along into her pregnancy and was unable to travel from Korea, and therefore was unfortunately cut from the film.6. Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Grindelwald in the film, is the fourth actor from the Hannibal franchise to appear in the Harry Potter films. Mikkelsen essayed the sadistic titular character in the acclaimed TV series Hannibal. The other three actors are Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films, Ralph Fiennes, who essayed the iconic Lord Voldermort, and Rhys Ifans, who played the role of Xenophilius Lovegood, the eccentric father of the fan-favorite character Luna Lovegood, have all played the main villains in various films from the Hannibal franchise Well that's the OTTplay Now You Know for today, until the next episode it's your host Nikhil signing out.Aaj kya dekhoge OTTplay se poocho Written by - Ryan Gomez

We're diverting slightly for this week's Spooky Linings entry to tackle another film in the Wizarding World Universe. From the sinking of the Titanic to visions of Auschwitz, there's simultaneously a lot and nothing at all happening in 2018's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - a movie that's 2 hours too long. We'll try to make sense of the non-sensical timeline this film establishes, plus how to identify evil children early on, the problematic takes that have been spewing from JK Rowling's mouth recently, the secret dark side of the Niffler, and much more with returning guests Michael Moss and Jennie Lee!Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Johnny Depp, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, and Carmen Ejogo. And what exactly is an illuminated pervert? It's easy to assume the world is going crazy, because it is. Not in that slow, stepped way either. Nope, like overnight, that woman you knew as the helpful town pharmacist for 40 years is on the roof spraying bullets to stop the alien invasion. In that analogy, the world is the chunky lady with the AK-47. I'm not sure what the aliens are.On this week's podcast, we delve into what's ailing this world, like the new California law forcing companies to put a quota of women on Boards, you know, to make up for slavery. Also, Cristiano Ronaldo Vegas anal rape allegations, Lady Gaga's self-harming fan base harming the movie Venom, Lindsay Lohan speaking in a caricature Arabic voice trying to steal Syrian refugee children off the streets of Moscow and being punched, and Christian Bale in his latest and greatest fat-guy method role, as Dick Cheney in a movie you can't figure anybody actually goes to see in the theaters. And in our epic Bonus Segment for Patreon Patrons, we get down and dirty into J.K. Rowling, faux diversity in Harry Potter, and why it's okay to pick Asian women like Claudia Kim to play the pet snakes. It just is. But you have to listen. Legends of S.H.I.E.L.D.: An Unofficial Marvel Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fan Podcast
The @LegendsOfShield (Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) Agents Lauren, Haley and Stargate Pioneer are joined for a third consecutive week by special guest Counsultant Agent Wing as they break down the sixth episode of the second Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. season A Fractured House! They also run down the amazing #MarvelEvent news, look deeper into the Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron teaser trailer, and run down all the awesome Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. feedback. In this episode our hosts start off by talking about seeing Natasha Romanoff being able to pick up Thor's "hammer," Agent Lauren trying to "slip" it in (Wing saying Doctor Ewww...err...Doctor Who), Lauren drops some comic book knowledge about who really is capable of lifting Thor's Hammer (Captain America, Natasha Romanoff and Wonder Woman), Haley read her first comic from 1971 in her read from the beginning of Marvel (a really mediocre Captain America as it was), each host looks forward to their favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3/4 movie and they talk about how impossible it is to even try and compare Marvel's film run to anything else in film history, Haley reports that she has not yet watched Top Gun or Skyfall, the hosts speculate on how Marvel will be able to do Ant Man and Inhumans, and they note that Spider-man is definitely a favorite character in everyone's Marvel's top 5 characters. In the news section starting at [21:02] the hosts continue to tally their quarter bets on the China Guardians Of The Galaxy box office numbers and giggle at Ghana's $4,800 box office number. Lauren brings up the movie with the worst box office return of all time - Zyzzyx Rd with Tom Seizemore and Katherine Heigl at $30. Just about EVERYONE is more excited for Agent Carter than Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron. Haley and Stargate Pioneer are looking forward to Captain Marvel. Lauren is intrigued by Infinity Wars. They all speculate on who exactly is it in the Hulk Buster Iron Man Suit. Lauren tells us about Seanan McQuire's Velveteen Versus series and her Superhero Bitch Fight. Also, Lauren's favorite character is Pixie (Megan Gwynn) and she tells us that she was a VERY violent child. Will Civil War really need Spider-man? Our answer is no but having Spider-man around would definitely be a great addition to the MCU. Thanks to ComicAlliance.com we were able to see that there is only one potential crunch between all the comic book films from now to 2020 which is Captain America 3 and X-Men in May 2016. The hosts talk about this week's amazing Agent's Of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode A Fractured Rose at [47:05]. We know now not to trust ANYBODY named Ward. Is Talbot a Kree or why didn't the Splinter Bomb dematerialize him? Haley brings up Mockingbird doing a twisty flippy thing through Hydra dust. Coulson's new coffee cup is an I Hate Monday's Grumpy Cat cup - and Trip probably was the one who brought it into work for May. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. gets a Star Wars crossover with a T-Shirt. Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter's bickering and fighting is fun to watch! And surprisingly Mockingbird stole the episode from May for Lauren and Haley. Fitz and Simmons continue to be painful to watch and we all desparately long for the days before Ward dropped them to the bottom of the ocean from an airplane. Everyone on the podcast doubts that Ward was let go in collaboration with S.H.I.E.L.D.. Haley names this episode's fight chorography as "May versus the Spiny Knife" and "Bobbi jumping through Hydra dust." And everyone was awed over the duel intense dialogues between Coulson and Senator Ward and Skye and "Basement Ward" (as named by Lauren). Agents Walters is definitely an Agent Red Shirt as per Haley. Lauren labels S.H.I.E.L.D. as Chaotic Good while General Talbot is Lawful Good. We all wonder who map tattoo guy is at the end. There's all sorts of "Two Weeks" quotes including The Money Pit which Lauren has never seen and Total Recall. Lauren, Haley and Wing teach everyone how to properly steep tea, which is NOT how it's done in the episode. And there is no good reason why Ward wasn't sedated for transport other than "Plot Requires" for Ward to escape. And NOBODY says "peacocking" anymore. And everyone is excited for the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. mid-season finale.
