Many fans, especially young ones, know Alison Sudol for her role as Queenie Goldstein in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Over three films, she's become part of one of the most beloved cinematic universes. But she's been a musician longer than she's been an actor. Recording as A Fine Frenzy, she built a devoted following and won over critics with releases like One Cell in the Sea and Bomb in a Birdcage. Over the last few years, her sound has evolved into something more layered and complex. Sudol's latest album Still Come The Night, arrived on Sept. 30. Intimate and unpredictable with warm organic production, it's perhaps the best of her career. Jordan Edwards talks to her about the album, how motherhood has inspired her, and how she chooses acting projects.

“Still Comes The Night" Raised by a drama teacher mother and an acting coach father, the arts were coursing mightily through the Sudol house. A lover of literature and music, the Seattle-born Alison Sudol started crafting her path at a young age. In her teens, the self-taught pianist created a persona that operated under the A Fine Frenzy sobriquet, releasing a power trio of albums, including 2007's A Cell In The Sea, 2009's Bomb In the Birdcage and 2012's Pines. A Fine Frenzy played SXSW, toured Europe, opened for everyone from the Stooges to Rufus Wainwright and had international hits in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. But by 2011, she announced A Fine Frenzy had been summarily put to bed. Focusing on her acting, Alison joined the cast of Transparent and later the program Dig and in 2016 she got cast as Queen Goldstein in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. She went on to star in the subsequent two Fantastic Beasts movies—The Crimes Of Grindelwald, and the Secrets of Dumbledore. Retuning to music in 2018, Alison put out two marvelous EPS—Moon and Moonlite—and in September, she put out Still Comes The Night, her first album under her own name. Spellbinding, captivating and utterly riveting, Still Comes The Night is redolent with loss, grief, dreams, magic, introspection and love. It's an album that's filled with poetic finesse, a quiet velocity and devastating melodic beauty. www.alisonsudol.com www.bombshellradio.com Stereo Embers www.stereoembersmagazine.com www.alexgreenonline.com Instagram: @emberspodcast editor@stereoembersmagazine.com

We had the pleasure of interviewing Alison Sudol over Zoom video! London-based, American singer-songwriter and actress Alison Sudol releases her autobiographical new album Still Come The Night via Kartel Music Group. Formerly known under the moniker A Fine Frenzy, this intimate album is an impassioned effort that signals the welcome return of a unique artist, a powerful voice armed with candid lyrics and authentic musicianship. Written and co-produced by Alison with London-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Chris Hyson - half of adventurous collective Snowpoet - Still Come The Night owns its intimate sound to the backdrop at Giant Wafer studios, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, nestled between sheep fields in the Welsh countryside. Chris recruited Welsh twin brothers Lloyd and Alex Haines on drums and guitar and engineer Alex Killpatrick to join them at Wafer. There they worked together from morning until midnight, writing song after song, creating a hushed intimacy and sense of space among, even, the many layers of songs with their subtle harmonies and intricate instrumentation. While making the core of the album (those four songs were written by Alison while isolating at her friend's farm with her partner), she just found out she was pregnant when the world suddenly stopped, filming on Fantastic Beasts - the movie franchise in which Alison stars as Queenie Goldstein - had been indefinitely suspended, the tour with Goldfrapp postponed, and for some reason she couldn't taste or smell anything. The mood in London was strange, tense. No one knew how long this thing would last, and the risk for pregnant women. There, without any wifi, set with the changing seasons and the quiet solitude of their borrowed cottage as the backdrop, the first songs of her intimate and introspective yet powerful, poetic record came quickly and quietly. London went into lockdown. Days later, they lost the baby. When Alison began writing Still Come the Night, she knew that she wanted to make an album to process the different stages of grief that she and her partner experienced with the loss of their first baby in pregnancy. This new album spans the emotions of Alison's journey, from the exhilaration of early love into the tightrope walk of excitement and uncertainty of pregnancy and ultimately through the complex and mysterious landscape of grief. Now based in London, Alison Sudol is an American singer-songwriter, musician, actress and video director. Having released three critically acclaimed albums under the name A Fine Frenzy during which she toured with Rufus Wainwright and opened for The Stooges at SXSW. Making her comeback to music as Alison Sudol in 2018 she released two EPs, Moon and its follow-up, Moonlite both co-produced with Yard Act and Gruff Rhys' producer Ali Chant, and featuring Portishead's Clive Deamer and Adrian Utley and John Parish. Her acting credits include the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them franchise and the critically acclaimed TV series Transparent and Dig. We want to hear from you! Hey everyone, its time to finally return to the Wizarding World! Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has finally released in theatres around the globe. This is franchise that I have not really gotten to talk about in my almost-3 years on this platform but this is a franchise that means SO MUCH to me. I've been watching these movies since I was like 4 years old and I have so much nostalgia from like a decade or so back, watching every movie constantly and reading the books. I was also a big fan of the first Fantastic Beasts movie and enjoyed the second one, just on first viewing. Since then, I've liked the movie LESS AND LESS and grown less enchanted with the future of the franchise. But the trailers for this third film have been great so I rewatched all 10 of the previous films and have been getting excited for this movie. This is a SPOILER-FREE REVIEW of the film. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore: Directed by: David Yates Screenplay by: J.K. Rowling & Steve Kloves Based upon a screenplay by: J.K. Rowling Produced by: David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram and Tim Lewis. Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti and Michael Sharp served as executive producers. Music by: James Newton Howard Cinematography by: George Richmond Film Editing by: Mark Day Casting by: Fiona Weir Production Design by: Stuart Craig, Neil Lamont Cast: Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylam, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Fiona Glascott, Katherine Waterston, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle, Oliver Masucci, Valerie Pachner, and Mads Mikkelsen Synopsis: In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, though he's unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Now You Know - Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore - Episode 67 The latest installment to the Harry Potter franchise is the third movie from the Fantastic Beasts films titled Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The film stars Eddie Redmayne in the lead as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald. Written by JK Rowling and Steve Kloves, the film is directed by David Yates, and the story follows Dumbledore, Newt and their allies as they attempt to thwart the dark wizard Grindelwald.  Here are some lesser-known facts about the film.   1. Johnny Depp's much-publicized court battle with ex-wife Amber Heard amidst allegations of domestic abuse led to him being fired from the movie after filming just one scene. However, if reports are to be believed he walked away with his full $16 million salary due to the ‘pay or play' clause in his contract.  2. Steve Kloves, the original Harry Potter screenwriter, returned after 10 years to help JK Rowling with the script, after the underwhelming reception of the previous film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.  3. As a result of the global travel restrictions enforced due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the time of production, the scenes set in Rio de Janeiro could not be shot on location. So the production was moved to Bhutan instead with stills from Rio used in post-production.  4. The character of Abernathy, played by Kevin Guthrie, was cut from the script after Guthrie was found guilty in 2021 of sexually assaulting a woman in 2017.  5. Three of the actresses, Claudia Kim, Victoria Yeates, and Alison Sudol, were pregnant by the time production resumed, after being delayed by the global pandemic. Scenes involving Alison Sudol's character Queenie were either shot from behind or chest up, with the character always wearing black. While Victoria Yeates's character Bunty is always seen wearing a large coat and is often seen sitting down in most scenes. However, Claudia Kim's character Nagini, the human form of Voldermort's snake from the Harry Potter storyline, was very far along into her pregnancy and was unable to travel from Korea, and therefore was unfortunately cut from the film.6. Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Grindelwald in the film, is the fourth actor from the Hannibal franchise to appear in the Harry Potter films. Mikkelsen essayed the sadistic titular character in the acclaimed TV series Hannibal. The other three actors are Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films, Ralph Fiennes, who essayed the iconic Lord Voldermort, and Rhys Ifans, who played the role of Xenophilius Lovegood, the eccentric father of the fan-favorite character Luna Lovegood, have all played the main villains in various films from the Hannibal franchise   Well that's the OTTplay Now You Know for today, until the next episode it's your host Nikhil signing out.Aaj kya dekhoge OTTplay se poocho  Written by - Ryan Gomez

Joe Carnahan Bad Trip Eric Andre, Lil Rey Howery and Tiffany Haddish bring us skit comedy and hidden camera pranks akin to Jackass, with a difference- They play characters on a journey through a shared plot of absurdity and misadventure.  It is not as clever as it wants to be, and very often the laughs do not land but when they do, it can be funny.  you should know what you are getting yourself into.  In one of the segments, a gorilla forces himself on a man sexually.  If you are still interested, you should watch it.  (4/10)   Boss Level    Frank Grillo has certainly become a name among the better action stars and he certainly deserves it.   Roy Pulver (Grillo) is trapped in a day in which he in killed...over and over each time waking up knowing a little more about the timing- where to stand to escape death in the form of bullets, assassins and swords.  The cleverness comes, partly, in the comedy associated with the plot mentioned above.  Boss Level is fully aware of what it is and doesn't try to be more and is a damn fun ride.  Naomi Watts and Mel Gibson are great in their respective rolls and the Ex wife and villain.  (6.5/10)     Hosted, produced and mixed by Grayson Maxwell and Roger Stillion.  Guest appearance by Chris Boughan.  Music by Chad Wall.  Quality Assurance by Anthony Emmett. Happy holidays! This week we are going back to LeakyCon in Dallas, where The Ringer's Mallory Rubin and Jason Concepcion interviewed Alison Sudol about Queenie Goldstein, writing, creation, and more. This was conducted BEFORE CoG came out in theaters, so maybe now is a great time to revisit everything we heard.    We'll be presenting more of these interviews between now and the day we return in the second week of January! Enoy! And make sure to check out Mal and Jason's podcast, Binge Mode: Harry Potter — they truly are some of the best Potter podcasters in history.

Hi guys, welcome back to Geeking Out Loud!    On our fourth episode of Season 2, Maria talks about one of the biggest movies of 2018, Fantastic Beats: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The movie set in the Wizarding World stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Zoe Kravitz, Ezra Miller, and of course cinema royalty, Jude Law as Young Dumbledore, and Johnny Deep as dark wizard Grindelwald. The second film in a five part story brings back our lovely characters from the first one, while introducing new faces that fit right perfectly in the story.     There’s so much to talk about and digest with this movie, plus a bunch of fan theories. However, these won’t be part of this review, since this is Geeking Out Loud’s NON-SPOILER REVIEW for Fanastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindelwald.    Let’s chat about our non-spoiler opinions, shall we?   Song: Ikson - Heartbeat (Vlog No Copyright Music)   Music promoted by Vlog No Copyright Music.   Video Link: https://youtu.be/YQjlxD0IbtA
