Amund Ove Børdahl er universitetslektor ved Institutt for filosofi og førstesemesterstudiar ved Universitetet i Bergen. I samarbeid med Nxtmedia konferansen inviterer til frokostmøte om kritisk medieforståelse eller media literacy som det heter på engelsk. Til å fortelle oss om kritisk medieforståelse har vi invitert Daniel Schofield og Vegard Frantzen fra NTNU og leder av Medietilsynet Mari Velsand. Kritisk medieforståelse er et vidt begrep, og omfatter den kunnskapen og de ferdighetene vi som mediebrukere trenger for å kunne ta gode, informerte valg om medieinnholdet vi konsumerer, lager eller deler. Kritisk medieforståelse styrker befolkningens evne til å delta i den offentlige samtalen og er viktig for et velfungerende demokrati.
