In 2003, the Danish pop duo Junior Senior took the world by storm with their irresistible dance song “Move Your Feet.” Accompanied by a perfect animated music video, Jesper and Jeppe's introduction to the ears of millions seemed to position them for an enormous career. They were collaborating with everyone from The B-52s to the Looney Tunes, and raising the spirits of anyone who stumbled across their music. By 2008, however, they called it quits, never to reunite EVEN after the song took on a life of its own in countless movies and TV shows over the course of the past decade. If Junior Senior wouldn't have broken up, would we all be moving our feet and feeling a little more united right now? Tune in to find out. Can controlled drainage make that big of a difference in drainage flow, nitrogen loss, and overall yields? A research project in the Midwest has been studying that question since 2017, and the findings might surprise you.Guest host Trey Allis sits down with Jeppe Kjaersgaard, a research scientist studying drainage, nitrogen management, and irrigation. Jeppe traces his journey from the family farm in Denmark to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, shares results from his controlled drainage field study, and makes a compelling case for collaborating with people across the ag industry.Jeppe and Trey talk through the methods and findings of a controlled drainage comparison study in Wilkin County, Minnesota. The project includes two sites: a 160-acre field used to gather data on controlled drainage and a 65-acre plot used to explore the impacts of a saturated buffer. Jeppe shares what he's learning about how different water management methods impact drainage flow, nitrogen loss, and overall yields.Trey and Jeppe also discuss the Conservation Drainage Network, an organization made up of researchers, drainage professionals, and interest organizations, as well as federal, state, and local conservation district staff. Jeppe talks about the benefits of such a network and how it can help increase adoption of different conservation drainage practices.Learn more about the Red River Drainage Water Management Project: https://www.mda.state.mn.us/protecting/cleanwaterfund/onfarmprojects/rrvdwmprojectCheck out the Conservation Drainage Network: https://conservationdrainage.net/Chapters:00:00 - Introductions01:42 - From Denmark to Minnesota04:50 - Local differences and global similarities06:45 - Minnesota Department of Agriculture work08:27 - Controlled drainage comparison project13:20 - Highlights and learnings of project17:38 - Measuring drainage flow, nitrogen loss, and yields20:00 - Cost analysis and planning for the future21:58 - Saturated buffer impacts on nitrogen and water flow26:19 - Using project data to set standards27:47 - The Conservation Drainage Network35:47 - Drainage is a key piece of the whole ag picture41:40 - ClosingRelated Content:#142: Minnesota's coolest drainage plots#98: Exploring Discovery Farms: A lesson in doing the homework#110: Bridging the gap between water management research and applicationJeppe Kjaersgaard on the 2026 Discovery Farms Minnesota Controlled Drainage WebinarFind us on social media!Facebook Twitter InstagramListen on these podcast platforms:Apple Podcasts Spotify YouTube MusicYouTubeVisit our website to explore more episodes and water management education.

On this episode we speak with Jeppe Ugelvig, the editor of Viscose journal, and a scholar, writer, and curator who works at the intersection of fashion and art. We talk about the fall of the fashion media and why independent media and criticism are paramount if we are to have a thriving fashion ecosystem, the problematic relationship between luxury fashion and its clients, the no less problematic relationship between fashion and art, and the surprisingly upbeat prognosis about where the next wave of creativity and authenticity will come from, because it must.Support the show
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this EUVC Live at GoWest episode, Olivier Tonneau, Founding Partner Quantonation, Jeppe Høier, Co-Host at EUVC Corporate, Paolo Pio, Co-founder and General Partner at Exceptional Ventures, Fergus Bell, Founder and Managing Partner at The Players Fund, and Prashant Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director at Scandian xplore one defining question:How does Europe turn frontier innovation into global scale?Across quantum, corporate capital, longevity, and sport, the same pattern emerges: Europe doesn't lack talent or research. It lacks the capital and market architecture required to scale strategic industries fast enough to stay independent.Olivier opens with Europe's quantum paradox. Europe supplies a meaningful share of deployed quantum computers globally, with strong startup and research clusters across the Nordics, France, Germany, and the UK. The science is world-class — but the financing is breaking. Over the last 12 months, the funding ratio between Europe and the US has shifted from roughly 1:2 to nearly 1:7, accelerating US scale-up, public listings, and acquisition pressure. Europe has 12–24 months to respond — not to avoid failure, but to avoid becoming the lab while others become the market.Jeppe shifts the lens to corporates. Corporate venture capital represents roughly 25% of global VC volume, yet the average lifespan of a CVC unit is only 3.7 years. His argument is blunt: most corporates launch venture arms believing they are “doing VC,” when they are actually building a strategic instrument without the operating system required to sustain it. Without durable governance — and a clear Build, Buy, Partner model — corporate venture becomes fragile instead of strategic.Paolo reframes health and longevity as deep tech moving at software speed. Genome sequencing has collapsed from decades to hours. mRNA proved that biology timelines can compress dramatically. With AI now embedded in diagnostics and discovery, health is entering an exponential era — and venture is being pulled with it.The session closes with a thesis most investors still underestimate. Fergus and Prashant argue sport is no longer entertainment — it is venture infrastructure. Athletes and rights holders are becoming capital allocators and distribution rails. Elite sport has evolved into a real-world deployment environment for deep tech, health tech, AI, and performance systems — where validation happens under pressure and at global scale. The takeaway across all five perspectives is clear:Europe invents early. But scale requires architecture.Late-stage capital depth.Liquidity.Corporate integration.Coordination.What's covered:00:30 Europe's scale question — five lenses on one problem02:00 Quantum's paradox — Europe leads in science, not in financing05:00 The 1:7 funding gap — why the next 12–24 months matter07:00 What Europe can do — capital architecture, procurement, scale funds11:30 Corporate venture — 25% of global VC, but structurally fragile13:30 Why CVCs fail — the 3-year vs 6-year test and governance gaps16:30 Longevity as deep tech — health moving at software speed21:30 AI in health — diagnostics, discovery, and exponential biology27:30 Sport as venture infrastructure — athletes and rights holders as rails34:30 Deep tech in sport — validation, performance systems, adoption under pressure40:00 Final takeaway — Europe has innovation; it needs scale architecture

Welcome back to the EUVC Corporate Podcast. This week, Jeppe sits down with Axel Deniz, CEO of Bosch Business Innovations and Head of Venture Building at Bosch.Axel is building Bosch's venture-building engine with a clear mandate: get Bosch technology out into the world, through founder-led spinouts, joint ventures, and seed rounds that can stand on their own with external investors. With ~80,000 active patents, 20 new patents per day, and 20,000 researchers globally, Bosch has the assets. Axel's job is turning them into investible companies.
I starten billeder.

Anthropologist Jeppe Trolle Linnet explains how men's fear of vulnerability is shaped by dominance, shame, and competition, drawing on years of work with men's groups and recent field research in Greenland. He describes why men struggle to share pain, how loneliness and divorce intensify isolation, and how fatherhood, emotional listening, and community spaces offer alternative models of masculinity grounded in trust rather than control.

Corporate venture capital isn't just having “a bit of VC on the side.” Done well, it's a strategic lens on the future. Done badly, it's a short-lived pet project with a half-life of 3.7 years and a trail of confused founders and annoyed co-investors.In this episode, we sit down with Martin Scherrer, Partner & Head of Managed Funds at Redstone, alongside our own CVC lead Jeppe Høier, to unpack what really happens when corporates leave venture — and how to do it without destroying value or reputation.Redstone runs a dual model: classic VC funds + “VC-as-a-Service” for corporates and family offices. Martin himself has lived three lives:Inside Swiss Re's CVC (later shut down)As a founder of an insurtech in SwitzerlandNow as VC & fund manager at Redstone across multiple corporate mandates.
In this episode, we're joined by Jeppe Schytte-Hansen, CEO and Co-founder of Omnidocs, a SaaS company that's moving fast: €22M+ in revenue, 1,500 customers, 155 employees, and four acquisitions in the last 18 months after bringing in private equity for the first time. Jeppe breaks down what it really takes to turn a steady, profitable SaaS into a buy-and-build platform, from product alignment and enablement to the emotional reality of killing someone's “version 2.0” and managing the slowdown that almost everyone underestimates. We spoke with Jeppe about choosing PE over VC, building a 14-point M&A framework, and why one plus one rarely equals two in the first year. He explains the “integration foxtrot” (quick–slow–quick–slow), how to preserve culture across six offices and four countries, and why Omnidocs is betting big on the shift from traditional documents to “fluid formats” in the coming years. Here are some of the key questions we address: What is the 14-criteria M&A evaluation framework, and what are the two instant disqualifiers? Why does every buy-and-build strategy start with a slowdown, and how do you shorten it? What makes product alignment the hardest part of M&A, and how do you decide when to kill a nearly-finished product? How do you structure integration squads and seven integration tracks across acquired companies? What does it take to enable sales teams to manage multiple products without slowing down new logo acquisition? How do you avoid overestimating cross-sell potential, especially in the first 12–18 months? Which are key roles and people to drive a successful pre, during and post-acquisition process?

Welcome back to EUVC Live in Malmö, where we bring you unfiltered conversations and reflections from the people shaping Europe's venture ecosystem. As the day closed, Andreas Munk Holm, co-founder of EUVC, took the stage for the final word — a candid reflection on where real power comes from and what Europe's venture community must do next.Throughout the day, speakers discussed sovereignty, collaboration, and Europe's industrial future. Andreas' message cut through with urgency: if we want Europe to lead, we can't stop at innovation — we must step into politics. He pointed to the example of the United States, where the tech ecosystem has rallied around political power, influenced policy, and put its candidates into office. The takeaway? Values matter, but influence requires engagement — and Europe's founders and investors need to find their voice in the political arena.

Kortom: Genoeg te bespreken, let’s go!!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

DÉPÊCHE MODE—Viscose Journal calls itself “a journal for fashion criticism” which sounds like a simple enough—and niche enough—premise for a magazine. Founded by Jeppe Ugelvig in Copenhagen and New York in 2021, Viscose has quickly become a vital touchpoint in the fashion world. And it has evolved into something far more complicated than what it still calls itself. In many ways, Ugelvig and his team have created a magazine that is a pure distillation of what a magazine can be. Because every issue of the publication is different—in form and shape and style. In other words, this is a magazine without a literal template. The first issue was called a “bagazine” and came in the form of a crocodile skin handbag. Another issue featured a garment label. And the current issue comes with a cover in the form of a cut-out of a perfume box. The magazine feels like “an ongoing thought process,” not just with the subject of fashion but with the idea of making a magazine itself. And in this sense, it is a mirror not just to the disciplined anarchy of the fashion industry but also into the making of an independent magazine in the 21st century. And that means thinking about the brand, about events, about audience, about the future as a media hub. And that's a lot of thinking.—This episode is made possible by our friends at Freeport Press.
