This episode's a little different - it's personal, real & hopefully exactly what you need to hear.Life has a way of throwing us curveballs, doesn't it?Over the holidays, my family faced some tough moments & it really made me stop and think about goals - what they mean & how to set them when life feels messy. If you've ever felt like setting goals is pointless when everything feels uncertain, this one's for you.---Here's what I talk about:1. Being Present When Life's Unpredictable:How we need to learn to focus on what we can control and let go of what we can't.2. Adjusting Goals for Your Season:Not every year is about big growth or huge goals. Sometimes, it's about stability, taking stock & showing up for what matters most.3. Flexible Goals That Work:Why focusing on what you want, instead of stressing over how to get there, is a game-changer.4. 90-Day Goals for Sanity & Progress:– Breaking things into 90-day chunks can keep us feeling grounded when the bigger picture felt too overwhelming.5. Why Faith is My Word for 2025:– Trusting the process, staying resilient and knowing amazing things can still happen, even when life feels uncertain.----This isn't about pretending everything's perfect - it's about finding a way to move forward, no matter what life throws your way.I hope you find something in this episode that resonates with you, because if there's one thing I know, it's that we can all be stronger than you think. As always, I love hearing how this resonate with you, so get in touch & let me know your personal takeaway.Best wishes as always.OsmaanUseful links for you: Take the free Business Magic Scorecard here.Connect with me on LinkedIn | Instagram | Facebook | Send an emailDiscover what your Entrepreneurial Superpower® is through Wealth DynamicsBook in for a free Virtual Cuppa here

We feel this is something that could be applicable to everyone. It could be an unconscious thing that's happening, which you're not even aware of, but it's good to become aware of it. Marriage is basically the biggest commitment we can make and it's easy to take for granted because it's just there constantly once you're married. Your marriage is where you have committed to give it your all and that can take extra dedication to really give the other person the love and attention they need from you to keep your bond strong. Are you more engaged outside of the home? 2:15Your marriage is where you should be giving the most 4:00A dynamic marriage 5:00Are other influences complementing your marriage? 7:50“My children are paying attention to my marriage and later when they want to make choices for their spouse. Today we wanted to discuss the concept that your children's foundation all starts within the home. “It starts at home. Fueling their minds, watering their thoughts, showing them grace, and asking for forgiveness when we've fallen short. It starts at home. Building healthy relationships, teaching them manners, showing them the power of kindness. It starts at home. Using words with honour, speaking life into our situations, refusing to give up when the going gets tough, it starts at home. Prioritising the right things, making memories in the mundane, feeling our emotions rather than bottling them up, it starts at home. Being there for them, opening up the lines of communication, getting to know them more each and every day, it starts at home. And each and every day I pray that home will be a place they remember as learning, laughing, growing, forgiving, and setting a strong foundation for many years to come.” Fire Wife Chronicles by Lizzy ChristianWhat this means for Rosie 1:25How many hours do you spend with them vs others? 3:30It's OK when things slip up 6:35Teaching your kids to speak positively 10:50Creating a sanctuary for your kids 16:30“This isn't something you wanna be doing all the time. But the good thing about that is instead of being like ‘No, we can't do this.' and then that's the thing the children want to do, when they do get to do it, then they know it's like a treat. Like a relaxing treat or a lazy day, but long term that's not the thing you want to do consistently that will be productive for you.” 8:25https://www.facebook.com/theirishmummy/https://www.instagram.com/the_irish_mummy/Pick up a copy of Journal to Joy. All of the boys, and the boys particularly, love talking about potty stuff. Something we've come to realise is that your first doesn't notice it too much because they don't have siblings. They might interact with it a little bit at school, but it doesn't consume them, but then as you have more kids and they start to speak about it among themselves, it begins to gain momentum as you have more and more children. Our 5th kid just loves the sound of any word that has to do with potty talk, and he loves to pronounce it clearly and slowly. Our bodies are designed to react according to our situations and if we're constantly stressing ourselves out, everything will be off, such as our appetite or ability to sleep, and so on. Rosie's main tactic is making sure she gets enough rest to ease the pressure and stress in her life. You also need to feel good about yourself, or feel like you're presentable, and this can be done through exercise, nutrition, or taking care of your aesthetic side. Why we need to focus on self care 2:01Rosie's self care 6:45Use this technique for your own self care 10:28Naps 16:46Adam's list 18:39“If you've got somebody in your life that doesn't value self care as much as you do, the one thing that shifted for me, other than when our third child Daithi was born, and just literally the need. And I think that's where I saw it shift from having this misconception and this myth that taking care of yourself and looking out for yourself is luxury. I saw that it then became a basic need of life.” 20:09https://www.facebook.com/theirishmummy/https://www.instagram.com/the_irish_mummy/Pick up a copy of Journal to Joy. We have lived in Australia, then we moved to Ireland, then Portugal, back to Ireland, and now we're living in the US. We've lived in different kinds of homes in different countries like a house, a townhome, an apartment complex on the beach, and more houses in America. Our current place is great for children to run around outside and just enjoy time with friends and be in a neighborhood that is kid friendly. What we enjoy about our current place 2:00A big enough pantry 7:40An environment for the kids 14:00What the house must have 16:35“If you're looking at moving, just look at what your non-negotiables are. What are the things that your house or place must have that you're moving into? And then what are the things that are less important for you? And don't just think of it through the lens of what it's gonna look like or how it's gonna make you feel, but how is it gonna work?” 16:35https://www.facebook.com/theirishmummy/https://www.instagram.com/the_irish_mummy/Pick up a copy of Journal to Joy. It's easy as a parent to focus on the things that maybe frustrate you. We feel that the more we've had to parent, the more mellow we have become because now we just see them repeat the same things that the first ones did and it now just makes us laugh. Our children do a lot of funny things that we maybe initially thought was annoying, but after realizing it's just something that kids do, it has become endearing, like when they feed the dog and the dog is covered in food later, or when they stand on your feet while trying to get a better view of what you're doing. Standing on Rosie's feet 1:25Dog funnies 4:30Vacation and defiance 7:05Egging each other on 13:00“They do that at the dinner table where they're both at either head of the table and they'll just start throwing food and it's funny because you can't really say anything because if you tell one of them off for doing it, the other one is laughing, so then they laugh and you can't tell two of them off… You have to just wait for them to grow out of it.” 13:15https://www.facebook.com/theirishmummy/https://www.instagram.com/the_irish_mummy/Pick up a copy of Journal to Joy. We were watching a cute little cartoon with the kids the other day and the kids were learning about how an old prophet had rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days, and nobody saw it coming because he achieved so much with his crew in 52 days that no one expected so much activity to happen. The moral of the story was when you put your mind and action into a task, miraculous things can happen in short periods of time. Sometimes the things that can lure us away aren't particularly bad 4:12Things we enjoy doing, but aren't serving our greater goals 7:11Could you thrive if you got rid of distractions? 9:46Defenders of our children 14:18“The law of sacrifice is the things that we give up like what are we gonna give up? When we think about fight or flight, that is usually when we think back to our biological days when people were more vulnerable and basically your digestive system and things would start to slow down to make sure all the extra blood would go into our muscles, giving them the opportunity to fight or take flight. One thing we don't think about often though is that some of us just freeze, meaning we get stuck and we just freeze and there is no progress at all. This applies to life when we are doing something and experience fear or lose passion for that thing. Feeling stuck 2:19Going to the different stages 5:52When you just need peace and are attached to your beliefs 9:56Assess your own life 14:23“There's this false economy of oh well I've done this in the past and it made a difference, so I'll just do more of it, but then it just becomes ineffective, and then you think ‘Well I'm not doing enough of it, so I need to do even more of it,' and then you start just getting so hectic. I was listening to a podcast today and there was something really interesting that was like you can either be stressed worrying about how to pay your bills, or you can be stressed with the stewardship of creating something big.” 4:28https://www.facebook.com/theirishmummy/https://www.instagram.com/the_irish_mummy/Pick up a copy of Journal to Joy. The time of year can affect how you breastfeed your child, or even if you're going to be able to breastfeed them. In this episode, I'm sharing a realistic approach to goal-setting and decision-making that I practice in my own business and coach on inside the Quitter Club. The societal pressure to meticulously plan out our success can be tough to shake and leave us spinning, going nowhere. Listen to learn how to let go of the need to know every step, accept change, and embrace uncertainty by focusing on short-term, achievable objectives in just 90 days. This approach helps prevent overwhelm, decision fatigue, and procrastination. By setting 90-day goals, evaluating your progress, and adjusting course as needed, you will be able to move towards your goals far faster than if you simply went hard for 2 weeks while operating solely on motivation. 90 days is the perfect length to build consistency and discipline for staying committed to your goals while still giving you the flexibility to redirect and change course, if needed.
