Hey there, lovers of spooky stories!
Christine DeLozier, a food expert, research scientist and licensed acupuncturist, combined all of her talents to produce a book entitled, “Diet for Great Sex: Food for Male and Female Sexual Health.” You can have great sex if you eat certain foods and reduce consumption of other foods, her research shows. During my Smart Sex, Smart Love podcast, DeLozier talks about how great sex is much more than being with the right person and being in the right mood. Throw in the right foods and watch your sexual pleasure skyrocket, she finds. Sex is better when we have good blood flow, which generates strong and rapid nerve conduction to our genitals, her research reveals. Our goal is to awaken our sexual health pathways by achieving the trifecta, DeLozier calls it. Improved blood flow, hormonal balance and nerve condition are the great sex trifecta, she has learned. Spinach operates on all three of these. It is one of the best foods for great sex, she tells her clients. To learn what you can eat to pump up your sex drive, listen to this Smart Sex, Smart Love podcast.

Why do we eat? On the surface it seems like a simple question – we eat because it's biologically necessary for our survival. But for us humans, it's a bit more complex than that. We eat for a number of reasons. We eat for social and emotional reasons, to celebrate big occasions, or as solace when we're depressed or anxious. Some of us have religious or ethical guidelines for eating. Many of you listening to this podcast eat to fuel your fitness goals. Powerlifters, body-builders, endurance athletes, and Crossfitters all eat in a prescribed manner to fuel their activity. Many of us eat in order to lose – or gain – weight. If you're at all interested in health and fitness, then you care about nutrition and would like the way you eat help you achieve your body composition or athletic goals. Or perhaps your goals aren't as ambitious, maybe you just want to eat healthier in order to be healthier. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking with Christine Delozier to where we dove into many different things relating to men and women's sexual health, how to enhance but more importantly, how to improve the function of one's sex organs and balance one's hormones, not just for sexual health, but overall health. This is a convo that is not discussed enough in our world and I thought, why not bring on an expert from a different angle to help us elevate our consciousness from a different perspective? If you enjoy the episode, please take a moment to share a review and if you were inspired by this specific episode, do us a favor and share it with one person. Lastly, subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss an update, new episodes, and amazing content! Who is Christine Delozier? As an acupuncturist and herbalist in private practice, Christine DeLozier, L.Ac., specializes in sexual health, treating males, females, and all orientations and identities. Acupuncture is great for sexual function, but to address the underlying mechanics of consistently great sex, the key is diet. For this reason, she works with patients to develop dietary habits that support their sexual goals. Education MS in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine MS (Counseling) Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the University of Rochester B.A. (Psychology) University of Rochester I specialize in sexual health, and believe in treating patients with the utmost care and respect, EXPERIENCE As an acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in sexual health, I treat women and men looking to have better sex. Acupuncture is great in bringing blood flow to the sex organs and balancing hormones such as testosterone and estrogen. If we want to address the underlying mechanics of consistently great sex though, we need to think about diet. Great sex is more than finding someone who will touch your genitals. And desire is not simply a psychological phenomenon. The health of a person's vascular and nervous systems, as well as hormonal balance all greatly affect how they will experience sex. For women it will affect their ability to orgasm, and for men it will affect the strength of erection and ejaculation. For both it will affect libido, sexual pleasure and quality of orgasm. So, with patients, we address the meridians, as they are known in traditional Chinese medicine, and we also adopt a diet which nourishes great sex. Such a diet ensures that blood vessels are delivering good blood supply to the genitals, that nerves send messages of pleasure from the genitals to the brain, and that sex hormones are optimized for arousal and pleasure. For this reason, great sex involves treating ones body kindly with food. How to Connect with Christine? On this podcast we usually talk about what we can do with our brains in order to tap into our pleasure, but I'm also interested in sharing with you other ways we can accentuate our bodies to experience greater pleasure. What if you could make some changes to your diet and it would allow you to have more pleasure and better sex? This is the exact thing that I talk about with my guest on this episode, Christine DeLozier. She is an acupuncturist and holistic nutritional counselor, and she recently wrote a book on the research she has done to answer the question about the effects of diet on our sexual health. She talks about some of the physiological indicators for better sex, the truth about aphrodisiacs, and even shares her date night menu if you're looking to have better sex tonight. Hello {!firstname_fix}, Loved this recent interview with Christine DeLozier! I wasn't aware one could use acupuncture to enhance sex, and I was intrigued to know more! Christine knows a lot about how the body works in general, especially with regard to acupucture, diet, and sexuality (and how they are linked!). We had an eye-opening conversation. Christine shared the following: - What's the general background on Eastern medicine and the construct for how that works? - How can acupuncture help people with sex? How does it work generally/mechanically? - What's her most frequently asked question/concern/ailment that people come to you to solve? - What are some unexpected bonuses of doing acupuncture work? (ie unexpected health benefits) Check it our episode here!: https://katietiti.com/podcast. And for more on Christine or to grab a copy of her book, Diet for Great Sex, visit her website: https://christinedelozier.com/. Thanks for joining us. See you next time.
