On Under the Hood, Honda is gearing up for the Super GT series with its Civic Type R-GT, aiming to deliver "ultimate pure sports performance." The race car, developed from the road-legal Civic Type-R, is set to debut in the 2024 season, with shakedown tests scheduled for July 25 and 26. Meanwhile, Zenvo has revealed its extreme hypercar, the Aurora V12, boasting a 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine and two variants, Tur for road focus and Agil for high-downforce racing. However, accidents also make headlines, as a white Ferrari F8 Tributo crashed in Houston during a Cars & Coffee event, and a cargo ship carrying 3,000 cars, including Mercedes-Benz vehicles, caught fire off the Dutch coast. In the market, Nissan faces challenges with the 400z, selling less than 1000 units since its launch, while manual transmissions become scarcer, with only 20 models offering them in 2023. Mazda, on the other hand, decides not to participate in the horsepower war with Toyota and Subaru, focusing on the MX-5's balance and responsiveness. Additionally, Tesla faces scrutiny as it was discovered to have suppressed driving range complaints with a "Diversion Team" manipulating range estimates. On Bending the Rules, Scott Tucker, a race car driver and founder of Level 5 Racing, built a financial empire in payday loans, disregarding regulations and charging exorbitant interest rates of 400% to 700%. Tucker used the wealth he amassed from his payday lending business to fund his racing program for years. Despite his success on the track, Tucker's shady financial practices caught up with him. In 2017, he was convicted of 14 criminal counts related to his $2 billion payday lending company and sentenced to 16 years and 8 months in prison. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a $1.3 billion penalty to the Federal Trade Commission for his deceptive business practices. Despite his conviction, Tucker doesn't fully take responsibility and claims to be misunderstood. Ironically, he was featured on Netflix's show "Dirty Money," shedding light on his bending of the rules and unethical behavior both on and off the track.

¡Los abogados de Ferrari no paran! Se toman en serio proteger la buena imagen de la marca y para eso denuncian a quien sea necesario, da igual lo rico que sea, lo famoso que sea o el número de seguidores que tenga en RR.SS. Y además de denuncias, la marca tiene su propia lista negra de “compradores” no gratos para la marca… ¿Están locos o hacen lo que se debe hacer? Pues… la verdad… sinceramente… no sé qué decir. Y es que La riqueza y el buen gusto, el dinero y la clase, no siempre van de la mano. Y si la gente rica con mal gusto se dedica a exhibirse en Ferrari, más aún si están decorados con dudoso gusto… pues entiendo que a la marca no le haga ninguna gracia. Incluso se habla de una “lista negra” de la marca con personas a las que Ferrari prefiere no vender modelos exclusivos… por el mismo motivo. Podéis pensar que me parece bien esta “caza de brujas” que hace Ferrari para preservar su imagen de marca… Y me parece bien, pero creo que se pasan un poco de la raya denunciando a adolescentes, modestos mecánicos e incluso a ONG´s. Os traigo 10 casos, no todos son denuncias, pero sí acciones legales, por eso les he llamado “casos” … después de verlos todos, a ver que opináis… Y al final os pongo algunos nombres de esa supuesta “lista negra”. Y, ¡ojo! que en este vídeo acabamos con una “Prueba del día”, porque hemos probado para vosotros no un Ferrari, pero sí un coche con 300 CV… que no está nada mal, el VW T-Roc R, ¿Un SUV? No sé qué decirte… Primer caso: Ferrari vs. un admirador quinceañero. Sammy Wasem era un fanático de Ferrari y en 2008 decidió crear una fan page sobre la marca… Cosas de chavales… sí, hasta que la dichosa página se hizo popular y tuvo millones de fans y de likes. Ferrari les quitó sus permisos de administradores e inició otra batalla legal que terminó con la perdida de cualquier control de los fundadores de la fan Page. Segundo caso: Ferrari vs. una Dogecopin. ¿Conocéis Dogecoin? Se trata de una criptomoneda que pretendía rivalizar con Bitcoin. Y para llamar la atención y coincidiendo con una conferencia de su rival Bitcoin en Miami se pasearon con un Ferrari F8 Tributo por las calles de Miami… ¿Cuál era el problema? Que la decoración era, por decirlo de alguna manera, muy “especial” y desde luego muy alejada de lo que se espera en un Ferrari de varios cientos de miles de dólares. Tercer caso: Ferrari vs. una ONG. Caso reciente, de 2022. Y es que existe una ONG denominada Purosangue Foundation dedicada a la lucha contra el dopaje en el deporte. Pero claro, el nuevo SUV de la marca se llama "Purosangue" así que Ferrari demando a la ONG… Cuarto caso: Ferrari vs. Universal Studios. El gabinete jurídico de Ferrari estuvo barajando la posibilidad de demandar a la productora de la saga “A todo gas”, Universal Studios. ¿El motivo? El de siempre: La utilización de una réplica de uno de sus vehículos más representativos: el FXX. Y es que, al parecer, el deportivo de carreras que aparece en la película no es real es, según la marca italiana, un prototipo “casero” que tiene el aspecto del Ferrari, el logo de Ferrari, pero no por ejemplo el motor V12 de 800 caballos… lógico. Quinto caso: Ferrari vs. NBC. NBC era la productora de la serie “Miami Vice” o como se llamó en España, “Corrupción en Miami”. En ella aparecía en una réplica muy burda de un Ferrari Daytona, tan burda que el mismísimo Enzo Ferrari entró en colera, denunció a la productora y a la empresa que hizo la réplica. Más tarde vio una forma de conseguir buena publicidad en un país que era el mayor mercado de Ferrari, así que mandó para allá dos Testarossa auténticos que aparecían, de color blanco, en la serie. Sexto caso: Ferrari vs. Deadmau5. El famoso DJ canadiense Deadmau5 decidió comprar un Ferrari 458 Italia. Hasta ahí bien. Pero primero decidió llamarlo “Purrari” y luego decorarlo con escaso gusto con una temática de un personaje de caricatura, Nyan Cut. El caso es que esta decoración desató la ira de Ferrari que denunció al DJ y consiguió que tuviese que dejar el coche en estado original. Séptimo caso: Ferrari vs. empresa de limusinas. Realmente no sé si convertir un 360 Modena en una limusina debería estar penado por la ley… pero el hecho es que no lo está… o a lo mejor sí. Porque Ferrari denunció a esta empresa por lesionar su imagen. No consiguió dejar el coche fuera de circulación, pero sí que tuviesen que retirar todos los logos Ferrari. Octavo caso: Ferrari vs. Philipp Plein. Otro caso más sonado es el que enfrentó a Ferrari con el diseñador de moda Phillip Plein - ¿El motivo? Que en el Instagram del artista se podían ver fotos se sus propios diseños sobre un Ferrari 812 Superfast de su propiedad. La casa italiana alegó que usaba el nombre y logo de Ferrari para dar más valor a sus productos, por lo tanto, era un uso indebido y no remunerado. Al final, la sangre no llegó al río y el diseñador elimino sus fotos… Noveno caso: Ferrari vs. un mecánico italiano de 26 años. En Italia este caso fue muy sonado por varios motivos. El primero me sorprende, porque este joven fue detenido en Asti en un control rutinario de la Guardia de Finanzas. El “poli” vio los logos de Ferrari, comprobó que en la documentación ponía Toyota MR Coupé… lo detuvo y se lo llevo al cuartelillo. Estaréis conmigo que esto sólo pasa en Italia. A lo mejor si lleva drogas o da positivo no le detienen, pero por falsificar un Ferrari en Italia… ¡pena de muerte! Décimo caso: Ferrari vs. 50Cent. El rapero, compositor y actor estadounidense Curtis James Jackson, más conocido como “50 cent”, no se ha portado bien con su Ferrari. En sus declaraciones a través de Instagram se deducía que no daba el mantenimiento adecuado a su Ferrari… por ejemplo, limpiaba su Ferrari con champán. Lista negra. Además de esos casos se dice que Ferrari tiene una larga lista negra de personas con sobrado dinero para comprar un Ferrari, pero escaso estilo y cuyo uso, costumbres y estilo de vida, perjudican a la marca. Os doy algunos ejemplos de celebrities que están en la lista por diferentes motivos: -El cantante de rap Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, más conocido como Tyga, que alquilaba Ferrari 458 Spider 2012 que no pagaba. -Nicolas Cage que malvendió su Ferrari Enzo, por debajo del precio de tarifa… ¡pecado mortal! -El exboxeador Floyd Mayweather Jr. tiene vetada la compra de nuevos modelos de la marca, porque según Ferrari solo usa para presumir en redes sociales. -Kim Kardashian porque no da buena imagen a la marca. -Blac Chyna que, a pesar de sus casi 20 millones de seguidores en Instagram, no gusta como “embajadora” a la marca italiana… También te contamos nuestras conclusiones al volante del Volkswagen T-Roc R.
