Just like the delicious food we enjoy at a holiday meal with family and friends, God's Word is full of all the "fixins" for our walk with Him. His table is set and there's a place for us. Come, taste and see that He is good!
We enjoy having great meals at special occasions. Usually there's foods, desserts, side dishes that are reserved only for these special days. We savor them, look forward to them. How much more can we look forward to dining on a spiritual diet of all the fixins' everyday by doing what God says in His Word and not just hearing it on occasion. He invites us all to His table. Survivor 3rd place finisher and New York Giants super fan, Ryan Ulrich joins the podcast to break down the latest Commanders game. Ryan gives an outsider's perspective on Heinicke magic, and expresses frustrations about today's much anticipated matchup. Plus, the guys break down each team's playoff prospects and give predictions for round two between the Commanders and Giants. As always, there are plenty of fixins to be had and plenty of torches to be snuffed.00:00 Game reaction/breakdown33:11 Fixins and Torch Snuffing
Sunday started with the Commanders dedicating a coat hanger "statue" to Sean Taylor. The day ended with the Commanders' defense sealing a huge win in the final minute of regulation against one of the NFC's playoff hopefuls. Rick, Dalton, and Brendan have their left hands way up as they break it all down. 00:00 Game recap20:50 Sean Taylor tribute debacle30:03 Fixins and snuffing
There was no encore for the Taylor Heinicke magic show, but the Commanders' defense kept them in the game. Unfortunately, an untimely penalty and questionable decision making by the head coach resulted in a close loss at home to Kur(t) Cousins and the Vikings. Dalton, Rick, and Brendan are here to break it all down.00:00 Game breakdown17:30 Fixins and torch snuffing
The Commanders travelled to Landover, MD to play an away game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The result was predictable and has Dalton questioning his fandom. Rick and Brendan share in the misery as they break down the Commanders' offensive woes and wonder whether the defense's performance constitutes a bounce back for Jack Del Rio's squad. As always, the guys recognize this week's stars and scrubs by passing out all the fixins' and snuffing torches. PLUS, the guys talk about the team's big mascot reveal. 00:00 Dalton's rant/game breakdown17:30 Mascot news24:09 Fixins' and torch snuffing
Asshur talks with his group of friend who traveled to Los Angeles (LA), California together. This trip was an epic experience. It was literally a reality TV show. So the guys could not wait to gather again to recap their experiences, just like the wrap up of a good season of a TV show. This episode is filled with lots of humor, and SHADE lol! It also has lots of great tips and ticks. It is a long one but a good one. Hopefully soon we will have the Nico Response, since much of this episode was spent focuses on Nico, who surprisingly became a dissenting character of this trip, lol. Here are some of the restaurant tips offered in this episode: Fixins, Saddle Ranch, Mama Por Dios (Beverly Hills) and The Breakfast Club. Literally all great spots. Also, as mentioned, ensure that you take a trip to the Griffith Observatory. The views here wont disappoint you. But the science is is also mind blowing. If you want to see Asshur's vlogs and get a bit more from this trip head over to AsshurK on Youtube to see more. Jack and Kate venture into the world of romance novels with Victoria Holt's 1988 novel The India Fan. When the daughter of a reverend in the English countryside is drawn under the influence of a wealthy family, she must balance her need for independence with the schemes and desires of the Framling clan. Your hosts will encounter ghost nuns, secret babies, blackmail, Orientalism, and pretty much all the other flavors found in historical romance along the way! How do romance novels actually get made? What's the real lesson behind the Sepoy Rebellion? Does this book feature the least careful lady character in the history of fiction? All these questions and more will be explored on this episode of the podcast. Could this be the most encouraging win of the season? Washington's defense continues to impress despite (or because of) being without two of its biggest stars, Heinicke shines against another of the league's top defensive units, and the WFT beats a playoff contender for the second week in a row. Fixins are flying as Dalton, Rick, and Brendan break it all down. Amidst all the merriment, Dalton argues that one star player has earned himself a spot on the bench.
Sarah and A-Train received a great response from Shark Nation on the subject of proper french fry condiments to put on a heaping dog bowl of fries. In a bit of an upset, vinegar reigned supreme, even over ketchup. Gravy and mayo were on the list as well! (!?)
Fitz goes down, the defense disappoints, and an ill-timed fumble seals the deal. The Washington Football Team started their season in an inauspicious fashion with a 20-16 loss to the San Diego Chargers. Dalton, Rick, and Brendan go through the highs and lows of the game. We pass out All the Fixins to those who played well and snuff the torches of those who did not. It's the full game recap you need to cleanse your soul. Plus, we weigh in on the Tanya Snyder podcast interview, and why it was such a brutal disappointment. All your WFT misery in a single podcast! Clyde Tiger, founder of Fit Fixins, believes that no reward can be achieved without first taking a risk and in 2011, after losing over 50 lbs through proper diet and exercise, he made a decision to leave a 15 year career in the construction industry to pursue his new found passion of helping people achieve their ideal fitness levels. Working as a personal trainer, Tiger was finally pursuing his dreams, however he was faced with the challenge that no matter how hard his clients trained, if they didn’t eat properly in between training sessions the results just would not be there. Soon after, he agreed to began preparing healthy meals for two of his clients. Word spread quickly and within a few weeks he was preparing meals for 10 clients in the evenings while continuing to work as a personal trainer during the day. The days began to run together with the increasing number of people requesting meals and Tiger was faced with another tough decision. It was time to take another risk and in early 2014 Tiger opened his own meal prep business, Fit Fixins, and the results have been overwhelming. In just a matter of months Tiger went from less than 10 clients to preparing and delivering close to 1,000 meals a week. Today, Fit Fixins has served thousands of customers from Sebastian to Broward County and serves an average of 3,000 meals a week. Check out Sprwt Meal Prep Software as recommended in today's episode! Settle down today and listen to the new episode where the boys try out an odd soda product, they conceptualize the Space Jam 2 movie's big problem, as well as the notion of cancel culture that is prevalent at the time. They slide into the weird triple threat questions, not before talking about an American King/Queen and the finally the mysteries and crazy of Pyramids. Not to mention they get into Aliens, AI, and many Tom Delonge references. Cheers!

Dario, an early bloomer, found it at the age of five realizing he could add soda pop and candy to watching anime and playing videos games and reach Nirvana. Dario (alder wood, year of the tiger, Aries) likes puppies, sunsets, walks on the beach, movies that explore the emotional connections that binds we humans to another in a dance of vulnerability and courage, chicken wings-medium spicy, and Sodapop. Here's what you need to know; Pepper: Yes, please. A+W: Thank you. Weinhard's: Don't mind if I do. Coke: Okay. RC: If I must. Pibb: NO. Pepsi: Oh, look at the time. Aeron: Aeron is originally from England, lived in PA for many years before relocating to California.
