Dusty and Mac for the day and they talk Chiefs haters and exploit them, talk over reactions of the NFL and discuss Jamaal Charles and his greatness as a Chief.
Thanksgiving is such an underrated holiday. Personally, I enjoy the NYC parade, football usually, the food and of course the naps. Notice that's plural. Anyway, we are talking the Turkey holiday with a sprinkle in of all your favorite things including football. Fellas, we all eat Turkey & spend thanksgiving with family. Do you have any Thanksgiving tradition/ritual that you do? Not a family tradition but something ONLY YOU DO? We are all thankful for different things… NOT GETTING SENTIMENTAL, DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT THANKSGIVING DAY. Turkey Bowl Fellas, it's getting down to the nitty gritty. A few of the big dawg power house squads LSU/BAMA/ OLE MISS/ TEXAS A&M ALL WITH 3 LOSSES ARE ALL OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS……. But teams like Boise st/ SMU WITH ONLY 1 LOSS look to be in the playoffs. Are we truly getting the BEST PLAYOFF SYSTEM WITH HOW THIS SELECTION WORKS??? Earlier in the season folks including some of us were firing Nick Sirriani, what about now? Is Bo Nix the best qb drafted this year? Will he be the best of the group? Does this group have a chance to be better than 83? Weeks ago we were all worried about Tua, of late there has been zero mention of concussions period, his or anyones! Would we all say it is true that the shield is the most important thing? Watson with an NFL solution Saquon Barkley broke into the 200 yards rushed in one game club with 255 yards and 2 TDs on Sunday vs. the LA Rams. There are only 8 guys in league history who rushed for more yards in a single game. Where would you rank Barkley as an elite running back? Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings: 296 yards (2007) Jamal Lewis, Baltimore Ravens: 295 yards (2003) Jerome Harrison, Cleveland Browns: 286 yards (2009) Corey Dillon, Cincinnati Bengals: 278 yards (2000) Walter Payton, Chicago Bears: 275 yards (1977) O.J. Simpson, Buffalo Bills: 273 yards (1976) Shaun Alexander, Seattle Seahawks: 266 yards (2001) Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs: 259 yards (2010) Where's Daniel Jones going to end up? RGR's Daniel Harms joins Matt Waldman's RSP Cast Scout Talk for a conversation about 2023 NFL Draft Prospects. https://youtu.be/3EtgTa2Gt1E Topics 1. We watch a lot of Travis Kelce...are there any TEs in this class that we feel can be even a tier within Kelce's skill set as a player if they have the right landing spot and develop to their potential? 2. We grew up watching Jamaal Charles. I think Tyjae Spears has a lot of skills that remind me of Charles. A) Do we think Charles was the best running back the Chiefs have had as a talent (not stats, just film)? B) What is your take on the state of the Chiefs' RB depth chart? C) What do we think of Spears and where would be some strong fits for him? 3. What has always stood out to me about Patrick Mahomes has been his ability to process what he sees with the confidence of immediacy--no hesitation. Are there any QBs in this class we believe to have that skill regardless of the other skills that may make them starter worthy (or not)? 4. Who are three of our favorite prospects at the skill positions for whatever reason? 5. Who are three players we think are riskier than their buzz? 6. Who are three players we expect to be longshots to have an NFL impact that you're rooting for because you like something about their games? And of course, if you want to know about the rookies from this draft class, you will find the most in-depth analysis of offensive skill players available (QB, RB, WR, and TE), with the 2023 Rookie Scouting Portfolio for $21.95. Matt's new RSP Dynasty Rankings and Two-Year Projections Package is available for $24.95 If you're a fantasy owner and interested in purchasing past publications for $9.95 each, the 2012-2022 RSPs also have a Post-Draft Add-on that's included at no additional charge. Locked On Longhorns - Daily Podcast On Texas Longhorns Football & Basketball
Texas has had their share of special runningbacks at the 40 acres over the years. Heisman trophy winners like Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams are the first to come to mind, but even players like Priest Holmes and Jamaal Charles are part of the reason that many (mostly in Austin) have dubbed The University of Texas (Running Back U). One player whose name will forever be etched in stone at the 40 is Bijan Robinson who has been dynamic since the day he came to Texas from Arizona. He grew up idolizing Reggie Bush, and when you watch him you see a lot of Reggie in his game. He has the power and speed combo which makes great runningbacks, but his ability to cut on a dime, a devastating spin move, and soft hands out of the backfield make him the most dangerous running back in America. Does Bijan Robinson have a chance to win the Heisman trophy this year? Our resident expert, John Garcia Jr. of Sports Illustrated stops by to discuss. Let's transition to the wide receiver position where we have seen the likes of Roy Williams, Limas Sweed, Jordan Shipley and company. Xavier Worthy, freshman All-American, is looking to add his name to that class. Although he introduced himself to the world against the Oklahoma Sooners, taking the very first offensive play of the game to the house, Texas fans saw they had a special playmaker in Worthy from the very first game of the schedule. Worthy had 981 yards last year and 12 touchdowns, and asserted himself as one of the best playmakers in the country. Coming into this year, Xavier Worthy is one of the wide receivers that is on the Biletnikoff watch, the award given to the best receiver in the country. Does X have a shot at the award? Regardless of they win them or not, you can expect fireworks from two of the best offensive players in the country in Bijan Robinson and Xavier Worthy. How will having these playmakers help Quinn Ewers along with his development? Click play to find out. Hook Em Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Locked On Longhorns - Daily Podcast On Texas Longhorns Football & Basketball
The University of Texas has an outstanding history and pedigree at the RB position. Some people (mostly in Austin) might even go as far to say that Texas is RBU. You can make the argument when you've had running backs by the names of Earl Campbell, Ricky Williams, Jamaal Charles, and current Heisman Trophy candidate Bijan Robinson. The nature of recruiting requires you to consistently look for the future of the position, and it sure seems like Texas has done that in a big way. Our latest commit in a top 5 recruiting class headlined by Arch Manning , is four-star runningback Cedric Baxter out of Edgewater High school in Florida. Some sites have him as high as the #1 running back in the country. & now it looks like Texas will have a dominant trio of offense in the coming years at the 40 acres, with Arch Manning , Johntay Cook, and now Cedric Baxter locked into this class. Simply put, Baxter has really good size and exceptional explosiveness to match that big 6'2 215lb frame. John Garcia from Sports Illustrated has compared him to Najee Harris and Leveon Bell, who have both spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Other comparisons that have been floated around are Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, and even the late great Texas Longhorn Cedric Benson. Baxter is a very patient, no-nonsense one cut runner with the ability to consistently make defenders miss in the open field while also having the ability to run through defenders as well. He also looks very smooth and comfortable catching the ball out of the backfield as a receiver, which he will get plenty of opportunities to do in Steve Sarkisian's offense. The addition of Cedric Baxter almost all but guarantees that Texas will have a top 5 recruiting class in consecutive years, which just so happens to be Sark's first two years at Texas. The best players in high school typically turn out to be the best players in college, and Sark has shown an exceptional ability to recruit high school students. Not only that, but the reach of this Texas Longhorn program is one we haven't seen in a while. In this recruiting class alone, Texas has commits from California, Louisiana, Hawaii, New Jersey, and Florida in addition to fourteen prospects out of the Lone Star State.
