And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel.2 And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.5 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:6 And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground.7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.14 And they found written in the law which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,2 That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.3 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.4 Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.5 And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,6 These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;7 Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;8 The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.9 The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.10 The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.11 The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.12 The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.13 The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.14 The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.15 The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.16 The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.17 The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.18 The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.19 The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.20 The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.21 The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.22 The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.23 The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.24 The children of Hariph, an hundred and twelve.25 The children of Gibeon, ninety and five.26 The men of Bethlehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.27 The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.28 The men of Bethazmaveth, forty and two.29 The men of Kirjathjearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.30 The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty and one.31 The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.32 The men of Bethel and Ai, an hundred twenty and three.33 The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.34 The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.35 The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.36 The children of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.37 The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one.38 The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.39 The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.40 The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.41 The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.42 The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.43 The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.44 The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.45 The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.46 The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,47 The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,48 The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,49 The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,50 The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,51 The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,52 The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephishesim,53 The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,54 The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,55 The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,56 The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.57 The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,58 The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,59 The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.60 All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.61 And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.62 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.63 And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.64 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.65 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.66 The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,67 Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.68 Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:69 Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.70 And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.71 And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.72 And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.73 So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

John is joined once again by Arametha, the man of many pronunciations, as they discuss mostly absolute nonsense for 45 minutes before finally getting into STARDOM's Queen Dynasty show! They break down another strong showing for the World Wonder Ring at the box office, a fun undercard, and then very notable first title defenses for Sayaka Kurara & Hanan! After that it's over to New Japan for continuing coverage of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, covering night 4 from Korakuen Hall (the final true dual block show for a while) before heading into single block nights from Osaka, Hyogo & Kyoto! Who's been standing out so far, and who's been disappointing? Then it's back to joshi with Marigold's Shine Forever, their annual anniversary show from Ota Ward Gym. We discuss a difficult time for the embattled young promotion due to a mix of injuries and departures, and talk about where they might be able to go from here. Former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame has defended former Buffer Stock CEO Abdul Hanan, insisting neither he nor his wife committed any wrongdoing. “During the recent conflict [in Iran], there was a pause, not a full stop or halt of the functions. Once the airspace opened up again, we reprioritized the delivery of those life-saving kits to the member states, and we came back on track… We still find hope in the communication between the different member states, between the different partners to secure some of these supplies, or keep supply chains alive.” Daniel Dadzie speaks to Hanan Balkhy, the World Health Organisation's Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, about navigating the challenges posed by recent conflicts in Sudan and Iran. It's one of six regional WHO offices around the world, covering a total population of nearly 745 million people from Morocco in the west to Pakistan in the east, and as far south as Sudan. The WHO works with governments and local authorities to improve access to basic healthcare and provide support during humanitarian emergencies. Global supply chains were severely disrupted when the conflict in Iran began just over two months ago. Although much of the focus of this disruption has been on oil and trade, crucial medical supplies have also been delayed in reaching where they're needed most. How to Grow Your Business With SEO (Without Social Media) — Faith Hanan on Her Faith at WorkEpisode OverviewAre you tired of posting on Instagram and TikTok every day — only to watch your content die in 24 hours? In this episode of Her Faith at Work, host Jan Touchberry sits down with Faith Hanan, accidental SEO expert, copywriter, barrel racer, and mom of three, to talk about one of the most powerful (and misunderstood) tools for growing a Christian woman's business online: search engine optimization.Faith has not posted on social media for her business in over three years — and her business is still growing. In this conversation, she breaks down why SEO is the "crockpot of marketing," how to find the right keywords for your business, and what tools you can use today even if your budget is $0.About Faith HananFaith Hanan is an accidental SEO expert, copywriter, podcaster, homeschool mom, worship leader, and competitive barrel racer. She runs a copywriting and SEO agency and teaches faith-filled entrepreneurs how to scale their online businesses using SEO, keywords, and blogging — all in less than 20 hours a week. She is the host of the Simple SEO & Marketing podcast and creator of the Simple SEO Framework (SSF) group coaching program. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhat SEO actually is — and why it shortens your sales cycle by putting you in front of "hot leads" instead of cold audiencesWhy social media content has a half-life of less than 24 hours (and what to do instead)How Faith hasn't posted on social media for her business in 3+ years — and still growsThe #1 mistake entrepreneurs make with keywords (hint: you're speaking a different language than your customers)Why targeting 120 highly specific monthly searches beats chasing 10,000 broad onesThe free tools you can start using today: Ubersuggest and Google Search ConsoleHow to know if your SEO is actually workingFaith's simple framework: get your core pages optimized first, then add SEO-rich blog contentHow to write an SEO-optimized blog post in 90 minutes and maintain your traffic machine in 2 hours a weekKey TakeawaysWhat is SEO and why does it matter for small business owners?SEO (Search Engine Optimization) helps search engines like Google understand what your business does and surface your website to the right people at the right time. Unlike social media, which dies within 24 hours, SEO-optimized content can drive traffic for years. Faith describes it as "the crockpot of marketing" — you do the work upfront and results compound over time. How do I find the right keywords for my business?Faith recommends a two-step process:Start on paper — brainstorm words and phrases your ideal client would type into Google when searching for the problem you solve. Then validate with a tool — Ubersuggest (free version) connects directly to Google's API and gives you real search data, not estimates.Key insight: A keyword with only 120 monthly searches from your exact ideal client is far more valuable than a keyword with 10,000 monthly searches dominated by Nike and Under Armour. How long does SEO take to work? Most businesses start seeing results within 1.5 to 3 months, with more significant momentum around 6 months. The speed depends on your website's current health, how long you've had a web presence, and how competitive your keywords are.Can I do SEO without being on social media?Yes. Faith is living proof. She stopped posting on social media for her business over three years ago and relies entirely on SEO and long-form content (blogs, podcasts). Because SEO-optimized content continues to be indexed and discovered for years, it works for you 24/7 — even while you sleep.Episode Timestamps00:00 Introduction — Meet Faith Hanan02:25 Faith's background: SEO agency, homeschooling, and barrel racing03:55 Jan's personal SEO journey — 6 months in, seeing momentum04:32 SEO is the “crockpot of marketing” — why people quit too soon05:00 What SEO actually does (and why it shortcuts the sales process)06:33 The social media rat race and why SEO is a better long-term strategy07:13 Faith hasn't posted on social media for 3+ years — and it started as a church fast08:10 The half-life of social media vs. the longevity of blog content09:17 How to get started with SEO without getting overwhelmed09:45 The keyword language gap: how you talk vs. how clients search10:57 Why small, specific keywords beat high-volume broad terms13:40 Free and affordable keyword tools — Ubersuggest deep dive15:00 Start keyword research on paper first, then use tools16:36 How to know if SEO is working — Google Analytics & Search Console17:00 Optimize your core website pages before your blog19:16 Broken links, analytics, and getting coaching (barrel racing analogy)22:05 About the Simple SEO Framework (SSF) group coaching program24:42 Special discount code for Her Faith at Work listeners: JAN26:11 Where to find Faith — FaithHanan.com/framework26:25 The Workflow Exchange — SEO for blogging workflow from FaithResources & Links MentionedFaith Hanan's websiteSimple SEO Framework (SSF) Group CoachingKeyword Research Kickstart (affordable beginner course)Simple SEO & Marketing PodcastThe Workflow Exchange (free SEO for Blogging workflow)Ubersuggest (free keyword research tool)Google Search Console (free)Google Analytics (free)
L&D gets done dirty constantly and I have been saying this for years!!! It's the function that gets underfunded, overcomplicated, blamed for culture problems it didn't create, and somehow still expected to fix everything with a workshop and a Kirkpatrick model. Hanan Sahourieh got into all of it: why L&D functions fail before they even get started, how ego and power dynamics quietly destroy learning cultures, what trust actually looks like when you have to rebuild it from scratch, and the mistakes learning professionals make without even realizing it. Oh, and she wrote a book called Everybody Be Cool which is the most accurate title for an L&D book I have ever heard in my life. --- Quantum Workplace helps leaders build thriving teams that fuel business success. Nehemiah 8:1–128 And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate. And they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses that the Lord had commanded Israel. 2 So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month. 3 And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. 4 And Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that they had made for the purpose. And beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hand, and Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam on his left hand. 5 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people, and as he opened it all the people stood. 6 And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and all the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground. 7 Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites, helped the people to understand the Law, while the people remained in their places. 8 They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading. This Day Is Holy 9 And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law. 10 Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 11 So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12 And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them. Doug McHoney (PwC's International Tax Services Global Leader) is joined by Hanan Abboud, a Dubai‑based International Tax and M&A partner who leads PwC's Pillar Two efforts across the Middle East. Doug and Hanan discuss the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) region's corporate tax landscape, including country differences, Zakat as a covered tax, and the prevalence of withholding and treaty networks. They then map Middle East Pillar Two adoption: Bahrain's QDMTT, Kuwait's QDMTT, Oman's IIR, Qatar's DMTT plus IIR, the UAE's QDMTT, and Saudi Arabia's lack of announcements. They dive into filing timelines, estimated payments, the evolving incentive landscape, the intersection with free zones, as well as practical pain points: data, provisioning, governance, and allocating top‑up taxes.
A conversation with the Palestinian filmmaker Scandar Copti (“Ajami”). Copti’s new film “Happy Holidays” is currently having theatrical engagements in the U.S. including at Film Forum in NYC. From the Film Movement website: While celebrating Purim at her university in Jerusalem, Fifi, a young Palestinian woman is hospitalized following a car accident. Though her injuries are minor, she fears her newfound freedom at school will now come under the scrutiny of her conservative parents. Meanwhile, back in Haifa, Fifi's older brother Rami panics as he faces his own personal crisis – Shirley, his Jewish girlfriend, reveals she is pregnant and plans to carry the baby to term. Behind closed doors, the family’s deep financial troubles come into focus while Hanan, Fifi and Rami’s mother, plans her eldest daughter’s wedding. Led by an incredible cast of mostly non-professional actors, “Happy Holidays” is a dynamic, sociopolitical family saga which thoughtfully considers the myriad intricacies of Israeli Arab life. Directed by Oscar-nominated Palestinian filmmaker Scandar Copti (“Ajami”), the family's stories and everyday anxieties weave together a collective portrait of a pressurized society, and “speak to a larger culture of silence, shame, social pressure and rampant prejudice” (Variety). https://youtu.be/cyBoBQHiXEI
In this conversation, Adele Johnston and Maeve Hanan explore the intricate relationship between menopause, food, and self-acceptance. They discuss how hormonal changes during menopause can affect appetite and emotional connections to food, emphasising the importance of self compassion and understanding food freedom. Maeve shares insights on the societal pressures women face regarding body image and the need for a kinder, more respectful relationship with oneself and food. The episode has a powerful reminder that worth is not dictated by body size and that all bodies deserve respect. We are shattering the stereotype that church is supposed to be boring. We are defiantly opposed to a form of religion that is exhausting. We are creating a culture where we understand the father heart of God, where we have childlike faith, think fun is fun, a middle laugh till it hurts, adventure into the unknown, rest well, become cheerful givers and see it as the great joy of our life. Many of us have this view that God is angry and just wants us to be sad and read our Bibles, but this could not be further from the truth. God is the happiest being in the universe. Jesus personifies joy. Jesus was a known partier. That's why oftentimes he is accused of being a glutton, a drunkard, and a sinner because he's constantly hanging out in these environments. The vision that Jesus has for what's on the other side of abiding with Him is joy.And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate. This Day Is Holy9 And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law. 10 Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 11 So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12 And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.Nehemiah 8:1-12We'd love for you to subscribe to our channel and turn on notifications to get updates on our latest content and resources that will help more people know Jesus and people know Jesus more.GIVE : We believe that generosity is golden. On this week's episode, Hanan and Lina talk about the relief of finally hearing about a ceasefire in Gaza, the weird new trend of “grandma showers,” and why everyone's using their PTO just to sleep. Somewhere in between, Hanan calls out Lina for refusing to go out after dark. Orphaned by the age of eight, Hanan Merabi learned early on what it meant to mother herself. Today, she's a nurse leader, author, and founder of Earth's Angels—and she's on a mission to help others build the kind of self-belief that carried her through every hardship. In this powerful conversation, Hanan shares how she turned pain into purpose and why self-belief became the most essential tool in her personal “toolbox.”We talk about what it really looks like to believe in yourself when no one else does, how to re-parent yourself in adulthood, and the small practices that help you build self-trust and confidence from the inside out.Hanan is a mother, nurse leader, certified nurse case manager, author, and founder of Earth's Angels non profit organization. Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, and orphaned at a very young age, Hanan always knew that she wanted to help others that were in such desperate need in Ghana. At age 15, she moved to the Unites States and became a U.S citizen, still knowing that she would somehow go back to Ghana and give back to those who need it most. In 2012, she founded Earth's Angels with the dream that she could make a difference in the lives of mothers and babies all over the world. Hanan is called on to share her story around the country, as an inspirational speaker. She has been asked to speak at nursing events, including nursing school presentations, charitable functions, and many other speaking engagements.People face conflicts, obstacles, and misfortunes everyday and this slowly erodes the belief they have in themselves over time. I was orphaned young in Ghana, West Africa, due to the lack of basic healthcare, and have mothered myself most of my life. After 30 years of practicing the art of self belief, i discovered that belief in oneself is the most crucial tool we hold. Making sure that each lesson you learn becomes a learning opportunity to add each one of this lessons to your toolbox, thereby strengthening the belief you have in yourself. My story is a relatable one and is a true narrative of grit and fortitude. Sharing how I overcame all of the odds against me, motivates and catapults the audience to feel they too are in charge of their own destiny and can accomplish all of their dreams, if they too self believe. earthsangels.orgwww.Thelegacyisme.comCheck out Esther's website for more about her speaking, coaching, book, and more: http://estheravant.com/Buy Esther's Book: To Your Health: https://a.co/d/iDG68qUEsther's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/esther.avantEsther's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/estheravant/Learn more about 1:1 health & weight loss coaching: https://madebymecoaching.com/coaching
