Morgan's first time in Europe! And second on the pod—since the wife laughed so hard at the first episode (got a new listener!) there had to be a sequel. Which is never as good. But this isn't the movies. We talk about going to Europe at age 50. Why he waited so long. And what happened with a bathroom attendant in Prague that caught him off guard. Then there's Morgan's latest obsession—timepieces. Or what you and I call “watches.” He's thinking of passing a watch down to his son as an heirloom. And I share a story of buying a fake Rolex in ThailandThis one went long. Hope you enjoy!
I'll just say it: We've got a connection problem. In a world that seems to be more “plugged in” than we ever have been, we are feeling increasingly isolated, anxious and lonely. Today we're chatting with author and rancher, Cloe Parker, about how to get back to what's real — in our relationship with God, the people around us, and our bodies. With the help of the Holy Spirit and some nourishing food, we're reminded that we're really not that far from the connection we were made for.To connect with Cloe and learn more, head over to https://parkerpastures.com or @parkerpasturesgrassfed on IG!Get Cloe's book Connected Cowgirl here: https://amzn.to/45DUFXP SUPPORT BY WORDS: https://buymeacoffee.com/bywordsSHOP MY BOOKS:Waking Up: Living Open — https://amzn.to/3LusgrzLove Is Devotional — https://amzn.to/3S6OZhs FREE Path to Purpose Guide: https://hannahhughes.myflodesk.com/pathwaytopurpose My favorite Bible studies + devotionals - HANNAHHUGHES10 for 10% off: https://thedailygraceco.com?dt_id=300773 Connect: www.thehannahhughes.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thehannahhughes/ https://www.instagram.com/bywordspodcast Shop my Amazon faves: https://www.amazon.com/shop/thehannahhughes
This one's a little different, it's a get-to-know-your-host kind of episode! I'm answering questions you sent in from the lives on TikTok and beyond. From favourite foods (yes, beetroot makes the list), to what music gets me going, to my thoughts on gut health, movement, and staying connected to the land, this is Organic Fitness in its purest form.Listen in, have a laugh, and get a few nuggets of farmer wisdom while you're at it. And don't forget: the best time to start stacking those healthy habits was yesterday. The next best time? Today.
Let's be real: there's nothing atypical about “atypical anorexia.” In fact, it's one of the most common eating disorder presentations—and yet it's still misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and too often ignored. In this episode, I'm joined by Registered Dietitian and eating disorder specialist Emma Townsin (@food.life.freedom) to break down what atypical anorexia actually is, why the name is a problem, and how weight stigma keeps so many people from getting the care they deserve. We talk about what happens when restrictive eating shows up in people who don't fit the “textbook” thin ideal, how BMI gatekeeping plays out in treatment settings, and what needs to change in how we diagnose and support people across all body sizes. This one's for anyone who's ever been told they're “not sick enough”—and for every provider ready to challenge that harmful narrative. ABOUT EMMA TOWNSIN, RD Emma supports her clients to take the stress out of food. Emma's unique method focuses on reframing how you think about food, building connection with your body and feeling confident in your food choices. So, instead of food controlling you, food supports you to live the life you want. Combining her skills as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, Emma supports people experiencing stressful eating such as binge eating or uncomfortable emotional eating and those who want to feel good around food after long term dieting. I got to spend a lunch break with the digital creator- Jeremy Jacobowitz. Jeremy started and created the IG Brunch Boys account and has evolved it to being all about his food and life adventures all over the World! (plus anything else on his mind). He is an Influencer, Director, Host, and avid baseball cap collector. I spoke to Jeremy about how he started and came up with the idea of Brunch Boys. We discussed how he evolved his social media into a personal brand allowing him to work with sponsors and having it become his full-time job and business. We spoke about how he started in TV and how he uses that to create content. Jeremy provided tips and suggestions when creating content, as well as, posting on social like IG and Tik Tok. He also shared what he learned from his time working with Bobby Flay as his PA. It was great chatting with Jeremy because I am one of his 438K followers and love what he has created for himself and the content he is sharing. In this episode I discuss how to cultivate satisfaction in your food life (& regular life) through your behaviors, thoughts & food-choices. This is one of the principals I've incorporated within my own way of eating & one of the strategies I work with my clients on to cultivate LASTING weight loss. It is also an important part of long-term weight loss that no one really talks about (even though it's incredibly important). This episode will give you a new, fresh way of looking at your food-relationship, your relationship with your body, & your relationship with your SELF. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/heather1422/support

On the topic of making delicious food, I sometimes find myself finding many important life lessons in the process of transforming ingredients or cooking certain dishes. Cheese and bread making have taught me so much that can apply to everything from the way we relate to food, to practicing intuitive eating, to mindful eating, to making more vegan choices or going vegan. Today I share some of these lessons, as we look into bread and cheese making for little morsels of wisdom. For the written version of this episode, click here.

This week I thought I'd share my love of books with you, and give you a little insight into what some of my favorites have been, on the topics of fiction, non-fiction, veganism, cooking, food, life, self-improvement, and more. It's also a perfect moment to give you a little surprise! Some of you might know that we have a super cool library of resources at Brownble where you can find our go-to books, films, podcasts, courses, online videos, and other inspiration and resources to help you go vegan. Well... we've given it the most awesome makeover and gave it a delicious update! It's now so much easier and more fun to browse, we've made it colourful, added handy menus to help you find what you're looking for and so much more. You'll of course find it, as a pretty big extension to this list, by clicking the button at the end of the post or in the top menu of your online program if you're a member! It's going to be a total summer book party, including some personal book loving stories, self imposed reading ground rules, and the importance of knowing yourself as a reader. I also answer a question from Sam on digestive issues and veganism, my struggles with gastritis and much more! For all the links mentioned in today's episode, click here.
Excited to share the story of the most relaxed and warm chef you'll ever meet!
