Senator Cory Gardner is the Chairman of the Senate Leadership Fund. As a former Senator from Colorado and U.S. Congressman in Colorado's district 4, Gardner's role now focuses on making and keeping a Senate Republican majority. Gardner is the perfect person to walk us through the 2026 Senate Midterm elections. With President Trump adding Jd Vance as Vice President and Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, 2 special elections will take place in Ohio and Florida. Both those states are Republican strongholds with Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted in Ohio and Senator Ashley Moody in Florida are expected to hold their seats. We then dive into current ruby red states and seats that both Gardner and I expect Republican to hold. As for the Democrats, we cover all the states in their favor, including strongholds like Oregon and Massachusetts that they expect to win. The swing states in play are shaping up for some very competitive races and Gardner gives us the inside look at the races and candidates shaping the elections. Make sure you watch to the end to see if Republicans could walk away with a majority in 2026. It's Friday, October 18th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Saudi Arabia rejected from Human Rights Council During a vote last week at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, representatives rejected Saudi Arabia's bid for membership on the influential Human Rights Council, reports International Christian Concern. Voting for a spot on the council is broken up geographically, with six countries vying for five open spots. The Marshall Islands won the fifth seat, beating Saudi Arabia by just seven votes. Previously, Saudi Arabia has sat as a member of the Human Rights Council. Madeleine Sinclair with the International Service for Human Rights said, “We are relieved that enough states took their record on human rights into account when voting. Saudi Arabia's record is a laundry list of the kinds of abuses the Council should seek to address.” The United States has designated Saudi Arabia as a Country of Particular Concern 13 times since first issuing the designation in 1999. The designation is designed to pressure countries that engage in systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom. Muslim blasphemy and apostasy are both crimes under Saudi law, with punishment for these violations of Islamic morality including large fines, long terms in prison, floggings, and even death. Needless to say, Muhammad was a false prophet who rejected the divinity of Jesus Christ. Matthew 7:15 warns, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” According to Open Doors, Saudia Arabia is the 13th most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. Fox Host to Kamala: "What are voters turning the page from?" In a surprise move, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris appeared on Fox News with Brett Baier for a sit down interview on Tuesday night.  Baier cited a Marquette Law School poll taken between October 1 and October 10th which revealed that 79% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. BAIER: “They say the country is on the wrong track. If it's on the wrong track, that track follows three and a half years of you being Vice President and President Biden being president. That is what they're saying. 79% of them. Why are they saying that if you're turning the page? You've been in office for three and a half years?” HARRIS: “And Donald Trump has been running for office.” BAIER: “But you've been the person holding the office, Madam Vice President.” HARRIS: “Come on. You know what I'm talking about. You and I both know what …” BAIER: “I actually don't. What are you talking about?” HARRIS: “What I'm talking about is that over the last decade, it is clear to me [Donald Trump] is unfit to serve, that he is unstable, that he is dangerous.” Republican Ted Cruz & Democrat Collin Allred debate abortion Today, the U.S. Senate is comprised of 49 Republicans, 47 Democrats, and 4 Independents. One of the closest races is here in Texas where the Republican incumbent Ted Cruz is being challenged by Democratic Congressman Collin Allred.  After weeks of heavily outspending Cruz, the Senate Leadership Fund's poll revealed that Allred has pulled to within a point. Right now, Cruz stands at 48% and Allred is at 47%.  In mid-September, Cruz was ahead 47-44%. On Tuesday, they met face to face in Dallas.  Their difference on abortion is stark.  Senator Cruz, who champions unborn babies, said this. CRUZ: “In Texas, we overwhelmingly support that parents should be notified and have to consent before their child gets an abortion. In Texas, we overwhelmingly agree that late-term abortions in the eighth and ninth months, that's too extreme. And I'll tell you, in Texas, we overwhelmingly agree that taxpayer money shouldn't pay for abortions. “Unfortunately, Congressman Allred's voting record rejects that Texas consensus. He has voted in favor of striking down Texas' law that gives parents the right to be notified and consent. He's voted in favor of striking down Texas' law and legalizing abortion up to and including the eighth and ninth month of pregnancy. That's extreme, and it's not where the people of Texas are.” Congressman Collin Allred gave this response. ALLRED: “When I'm in the United States Senate, we'll restore a woman's right to choose. We'll make Roe v Wade the law of the land again. That's my commitment to Texans.” CRUZ: “If you listen to Congressman Allred's answer, at no point did he make any reference to his own record. He desperately wants to hide from the fact that, as a congressman, he voted to strike down Texas' parental notification law. He voted to strike down Texas' parental consent law. He voted to legalize late-term abortions, including the eighth and ninth months. He says he wants to codify Roe vs. Wade, but that's not what he voted for.” Colorado's pro-abortion Amendment 79 Pro-abortion groups in Colorado and their lawyer friends have cleverly written Amendment 79 to sound like it's about “protecting women's health,” but don't be fooled. It blows a hole in the constitutional rights of parents, it redirects the tax dollars of Coloradans, and it endangers the lives of babies—both born and unborn, according to Colorado Right To Life. First, if a teenage girl wants an abortion, Amendment 79 overrides parental notification laws. Second, for the first time in Colorado's history, Amendment 79 would repeal taxpayer protections and create a funnel for taxpayer dollars to eventually pay for both in-state and out-of-state abortions. Third, it would enable late-term abortions up to the ninth month, even up to the moment of birth. Amendment 79 makes baby-killing an iron-clad right in the Colorado constitution like free speech or the right to bear arms. Proverbs 31:8 is clear. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” So, if you live in Colorado, please consider volunteering to help Colorado Right to Life get the word out about why Amendment 79 would be terrible.  We have it linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. SpaceX successfully lands booster rocket using jet propulsion And finally, the fifth test launch of the SpaceX Starship vehicle came with a party trick—a landing—which it stuck, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. Not since the Moon landings has an American been able to say with as much certainty that they witnessed something straight out of science fiction—a vessel coming down from space and landing on the Earth using jet propulsion. The must-see video footage is unforgettable and documents a truly staggering accomplishment, as not only is the Starship the first reusable rocket to land using propulsion, but the Starship is the largest, heaviest, and most powerful flying object ever made by humans. The maneuver saw the Starship's enormous first-stage booster, the rocket component needed to push the craft out of the atmosphere, glide in free fall down from the sky before activating thrusters to slow and guide its descent; eventually parking on a dime next to the launch tower's “chopstick” arms which literally grab it. As SpaceX employees screamed and cheered at the company's Hawthorne, California headquarters, Kate Tice, SpaceX manager of Quality Systems Engineering, was ecstatic. (cheering and clapping) TICE: “This is absolutely insane! On the first-ever attempt, we have successfully caught the Super Heavy booster back at the launch tower.” And SpaceX spokesman Dan Huot was equally incredulous. HUOT: “Are you kidding me?” (laughter and clapping) Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, October 18th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Following the Constitution is extreme, Ukraine is freaking out Liberals worry over fraud case and Biden's wall

Today's show opens with my assessment of the political landscape in the 36 hours since Speaker McCarthy's seat was vacated. Since when is it “extreme” to get back to the Constitution as written? When did we get to the point where the rule of law is considered “dangerous”? Former Speaker Newt Gingrich seems to have forgotten he shut the government down twice in an effort to get a balanced budget during the Clinton presidency and it worked. Now we have these talking heads on cable networks demanding Matt Gaetz be expelled from Congress? It's bizarre. Senate Minority Leader Mitch “blank stare” McConnell said his only advice is to get rid of the rule to vacate. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel said the same thing. At the same time, a Ukrainian Member of Parliament said they are “freaking out” in his country over the ousting of the Speaker. Translation, they want more money and are worried the gravy train has come to an end. All of these people seem to be really worried that a group of 8 Constitutionally oriented Republicans could dethrone the Speaker inside of 9 months. And they should be worried, because that's how it was meant to be! Check and balances. Not power coalesced into the hands of a few. Maybe the only other people who should be more nervous than Ronna McDaniel and Mitch McConnell are a couple of Executives at Sequoia Capital who paid huge sums into both the Senate Leadership Fund and the McCarthy Victory fund to make sure they would not investigate their funding of Communist China military tech and AI. That's a story just now developing and one I'll be following more closely in the coming days/weeks. We are also starting to hear some liberals in media, Universities and real estate express concern over how Donald Trump's NY fraud case is being handled. They see it as over-the-top and unfair. Remember when FBI whistleblower Steve Friend was upset being pulled off of real criminal investigations to infiltrate school board meetings and he said the FBI was looking to criminalize Trump supporters. Well, in a Newsweek article, the FBI confirms they have created a new category of domestic terrorist called Donald Trump's Army of MAGA supporters. We have to get back to our Republic now, before we lose all semblance of the rule of law. ESPN host Sage Steele revealed Biden couldn't finish his sentences and that he is a shell of his former self. She wants to know who is really running the country? On top of that, after reminding you of the Biden policy regarding a wall on our Southern border, it looks like the regime is going to start building more wall. You cannot make this up. U.S. politicians across the aisle, from ultra-Libertarian to extreme Republican, have used digital advertising to fuel their presidential campaigns. With the 2022 midterms and 2024 presidential election fast approaching, the time is ripe for new strategies. On the latest episode of The Current Podcast, meet two men who sit — Wizard of Oz style — behind the curtain of political advertising: Billy McBeath and Mike Schneider. McBeath is the digital director and senior advisor at the Senate Leadership Fund — a Republican super PAC that specializes in getting conservatives elected to the Senate. Schneider, on the other hand, sits on the liberal side of the political spectrum. He worked on President Biden's presidential campaign in 2020 as a partner and head of BPI Labs for Bully Pulpit Interactive. “What we're really buying for is impact and outcomes,” Schneider says on The Current Podcast. “Where can we deliver a persuasive video message to a voter to get them to shift their opinion?” “It's all about how can you measure how your message is received, not how many times it was viewed,” McBeath adds. The next upcoming elections also align around the expected deprecation of third-party cookies, which McBeath is awaiting. “We're basically going to be rebuilding the airplane while we're flying it next cycle,” McBeath says. “It's going to be fun, but also really challenging.” McBeath and Schneider also discuss the fast nature of a political marketer's job, why connected TV will be the way forward for all future elections, and how important identity will become as we get closer to the deprecation of third-party cookies.

But a Koch brother/Commonwealth Foundation connected poll puts Wagner only 3 percentage points behind Tom Wolf. Scott Wagner won’t release his tax returns because he doesn’t want his workers knowing how much money he makes. Wagner also stated this week that he’ll consider signing a bill banning same-sex marriage in Pennsylvania. He then claimed that he was caught off guard as he walked the comments back the following morning. To top things off, Wagner had to walk back his transphobic statement on “the bathroom issue.” Wagner said people with “male plumbing parts, must use the men's room.  And women with female plumbing parts must use the ladies room.” [Pitt City Paper] The Chronicle of Higher Education publishes a big article on sick buildings at Kutztown (sorry about the paywall). Surprise, Surprise the administration says there’s nothing they can do about unhealthy work conditions. And, Gov. Tom Wolf and Scott Wagner look to face off in their only debate. Looks like it’s going to be a rollicking game of Jeopardy! In today’s Last Call, we take a look at Free Will’s new can releases. Bitter Buddha was released last week and Freshie comes out this Saturday. This Sunday Free Will will host its fourth Sour Sunday of 2018. Sean finally watched The Godfather because there was nothing else on Netflix. He has still not, however, watched Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, or half of the Star Wars movies.

A tweet was issued this weekend from Michelle Minton of the Competitive Enterprise Institute warning that Charlie Dent, Pennsylvania Republican Representative was planning new initiatives to pursue Congress to ban all online gambling activities in the US. A big spending bill is scheduled this coming week, so some are speculating that the proposed prohibitions will be attached to the bill. Minton tweeted, â??Alert: Rep. Dent will offer approps amendment to ban state-based internet gambling with a vote as early as next week.â?? Michelle Minton has been keeping a close eye on every move Dent makes with his attempts to pursue legislation to ban online gambling. Full details of what Dent plans on doing is not clear yet, but what we do know is that a sneak attack with RAWA will be attempted just like it was before. The facts have been alerted with pro-state rights and online gambling as well as opposition for the 1,000-page spending bill that will have to be approved and passed before the end of September. There has been many failed campaigns with resurrecting the online gambling market in the US, and hopefully this will be another. Enter the world of Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire casino mogul and Republican donor with a net worth of $34.8 billion. From the Las Vegas Sands of Nevada, to the Venetian Macao of Macua, Adelsonâ??s casinos are renowned the world over. However, innovation in the form of online gambling represents a clear and existential threat to this gaming empire. Will congressional Republicans stoop to blatant cronyism to preserve it? Restoration of Americaâ??s Wire Act (RAWA) is a piece of legislation that would extend the Federal Wire Act of 1961 to impose a federal ban on online gambling. Simultaneously, the bill would grant online activities like fantasy sports an exemption. Darryl Nirenberg, the author of RAWA, is a registered lobbyist for Adelsonâ??s company. In the years since its inception, RAWA has never advanced any further than receiving a few hearings. Currently, RAWA is stopped in Congress, but some fear that an amendment will be offered to the State Justice Commerce Appropriations bill in committee as soon as next week. In any case, usage of the term â??restorationâ?? in the legislationâ??s title is a misnomer, considering the Federal Wire Act of 1961 did not apply to the use of the Internet as a wagering medium. Michelle Minton, a fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, wrote a paper in 2014, detailing the original intent of the act, which was to combat the source of organized crimeâ??s revenueâ??namely bookkeeping on horseracing and sports gambling, utilizing the telephone and telegraph systems. This legislation represents a naked attempt to shield Sheldon Adelsonâ??s gambling industry from free market competition, wielding his considerable influence on Congress. In 2016, Adelson gave $5 million to support Donald Trump, and $40 million to Republican congressional candidates. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) introduced the first version of RAWA in June of 2015. Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) quickly followed suit that very next year, only one day after revelations came to light that Adelson gave $20 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC with ties to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). The Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling, an organization backed by Sheldon Adelson himself, has attempted to portray online gambling as negative and addictive, predictably offering RAWA as a solution to this non-existent problem. If RAWA was intended to cut down on addictive habits, it would not grant exemptions to fantasy sports, which incidentally have no impact on the market share of Adelsonâ??s casinos."
