In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, the liberal media portends to inform the world on the obvious by telling us what "cheap fake" videos are when we all know what deep fakes are. Also consumer prices higher than usual, a breadown of the consumer price index, the most BS headline of the day: "drivers could see popular car feature go away based on Donald Trump's net zero measures". Also 2026 vehicles and the new feautures included, President Trump's success in Saudia Arabia, Republicans thank Jake Tapper for keeping Biden in the news, an audio compilation of liberals praising Joe Biden's sharp accuity while ignoring the truth about his cognitive decline. Also ICE obstructing democrats have lost their minds and intriguing audio from british commentator Melanie Phillips on the liberal mindset. In the past decade, China has ramped up its engagement in the Middle East, a region which is far from China geographically, but carries growing importance in China's foreign policy. Economically, China is the biggest importer of the Middle East oil, particularly from Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Chinese state-owned enterprises have invested heavily in the region under the Belt and Road Initiative with an emphasis on physical and digital infrastructure, including telecommunications, 5G connectivity, submarine optic cables, and security information systems. Diplomatically, China played a role in brokering a deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran, two longstanding regional rivals. Beijing has also been instrumental in expanding the BRICS multilateral mechanism to include four Middle East countries. Securing access to vital natural resources is a key driver of Beijing's intensified engagement in the Middle East. But China's interests are broader and encompass economic, geopolitical and strategic considerations. To further discuss China's interests and evolving role in the Middle East, Michael Schuman joins host Bonnie Glaser. Michael is a nonresident senior fellow at the Global China Hub of the Atlantic Council and an author and journalist with more than 25 years of on-the-ground experience in Asia. He is the co-author of a recently published report by the Atlantic Council titled China's Middle East policy shift from ‘hedging' to ‘wedging.' Congratulations Saudi Arabia. From stone cold motherless last to champion of the world! The Saudi royal family, in the space of only a few years, have won sport. On top of the dais – actually the whole dais is theirs. And the medals too! Gold, silver and bronze. And all of the known world records. And trophies. It's been an impressive run from the hitherto unknown sporting demigods. Dedication? Training? A newfound love of competition? What has driven this kingdom to the very top of sport? Money. Nothing more, nothing less. They've bought their way into global sporting recognition. Their medieval treatment of women, immigrant workers, and the rainbow community has been conveniently brushed under a sandhill as the world of sport has clambered over themselves to secure a slice of an inconceivably large oil pie. It's grotesque. The shameless grovelling, the oft repeated peddling of the Saudi ‘want for change' narrative, the endless photo ops with sporting superstars and Arabian royalty, the convenient mass turning of a blind eye to the arrogant horrors of their ruling class and the shared glee as sporting bodies worldwide roll in the pigs mud of Saudi largesse is hard to accept, but easy to understand. People are hopelessly greedy. Any resistance to sportswashing has been swept away by a tidal wave of money, drowning dissent and morals as it floods plains of athletic competition. Congratulations Saudi Arabia, you've won sport. Just don't expect me to stick around for the anthems and medal ceremony. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Suliman Baldo, Annette Weber, Amira Osman, Osama Kheir Mohamed, Irene Horejs SUDAN'S DEVASTING WAR ON PEOPLE – WHAT INTERNATIONAL RESPONSE? Five years ago, a peaceful civil society uprising has managed to oust Sudan´s long term dictator Omar Al Beshir and to install a joint civilian-military government for a 3 years transition to democratic elections 3. However, a military coup in October 2021 put an end to hope for democracy and in April 2022, the two power sharing military forces initiated a cruel war with devastating effects on the country. At present, as a result of looting, the conscious destruction of the economy and the use of hunger as a weapon of war by both warring parties, 10 million people have been displaced and 25 million face the threat of a man made massive famine and starvation. The war in Sudan has also devastating effects on its already instable neighboring countries on the continent. By its strategic location at the Red Sea it has huge implications for the Arab Peninsula as well as for international trade and migration. Multiple international players have a stake in this crisis, most prominently Saudi Arabia and the UAE as active supporters of belligerents, but Russia, the US, the EU and others have their stakes too. Different mediation efforts by Egypt and other neighboring countries, the African Union, Saudia Arabia and the US had little success so far. Yet, despite the humanitarian catastrophe and international implications of this crisis, there seems to be little attention to it by Western media and decision makers. “The world is failing to live up to its commitments to protect civilians in armed conflict”, UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned. When states fail to protect its citizens, the international community has a responsibility in doing so. Who are the different conflict parties, what are their interests and who is behind them? Why have the different efforts for mediations failed so far? Why do Western powers not intervene more strongly in this catastrophic conflict in a region which combines so many interests for them? What has become of the strong Sudanese civil society mouvements? What role can they play in the current conflict situation? Within the country and as Sudanese diaspora? How can Sudanese civil society and the diaspora contribute to support humanitarian relieve for the victims of this war? These and other questions will be addressed in this panel discussion, which constitutes the opening event of a 3 days meeting of representatives of the Sudanese diaspora from 9 European countries in Vienna. Suliman Baldo: Executive Director of Sudan Transparency and Policy Tracker. Formerly led Sudan Democracy First Group, advised U.N. teams in Darfur, and worked with ICTJ, ICG, and HRW. Holds a PhD in Comparative Literature. Annette Weber: EU Special Representative to the Horn of Africa with 25+ years in the region. Former head of Africa/Middle East at SWP, mediated in Sudan and Ethiopia, and taught conflict studies. Holds a PhD in Political Science. Amira Osman: Peace activist focused on gender and diaspora. Co-founder of Sudan's Gender Centre for Research and Training, holds a PhD in Peace Studies, and has published on Sudanese women's roles in peace efforts. Osama Kheir Mohamed: Activist and political science student in Vienna, focused on international politics, African theory, and anti-racism. It's Friday, October 18th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Saudi Arabia rejected from Human Rights Council During a vote last week at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, representatives rejected Saudi Arabia's bid for membership on the influential Human Rights Council, reports International Christian Concern. Voting for a spot on the council is broken up geographically, with six countries vying for five open spots. The Marshall Islands won the fifth seat, beating Saudi Arabia by just seven votes. Previously, Saudi Arabia has sat as a member of the Human Rights Council. Madeleine Sinclair with the International Service for Human Rights said, “We are relieved that enough states took their record on human rights into account when voting. Saudi Arabia's record is a laundry list of the kinds of abuses the Council should seek to address.” The United States has designated Saudi Arabia as a Country of Particular Concern 13 times since first issuing the designation in 1999. The designation is designed to pressure countries that engage in systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom. Muslim blasphemy and apostasy are both crimes under Saudi law, with punishment for these violations of Islamic morality including large fines, long terms in prison, floggings, and even death. Needless to say, Muhammad was a false prophet who rejected the divinity of Jesus Christ. Matthew 7:15 warns, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” According to Open Doors, Saudia Arabia is the 13th most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. Fox Host to Kamala: "What are voters turning the page from?" In a surprise move, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris appeared on Fox News with Brett Baier for a sit down interview on Tuesday night. Baier cited a Marquette Law School poll taken between October 1 and October 10th which revealed that 79% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. BAIER: “They say the country is on the wrong track. If it's on the wrong track, that track follows three and a half years of you being Vice President and President Biden being president. That is what they're saying. 79% of them. Why are they saying that if you're turning the page? You've been in office for three and a half years?” HARRIS: “And Donald Trump has been running for office.” BAIER: “But you've been the person holding the office, Madam Vice President.” HARRIS: “Come on. You know what I'm talking about. You and I both know what …” BAIER: “I actually don't. What are you talking about?” HARRIS: “What I'm talking about is that over the last decade, it is clear to me [Donald Trump] is unfit to serve, that he is unstable, that he is dangerous.” Republican Ted Cruz & Democrat Collin Allred debate abortion Today, the U.S. Senate is comprised of 49 Republicans, 47 Democrats, and 4 Independents. One of the closest races is here in Texas where the Republican incumbent Ted Cruz is being challenged by Democratic Congressman Collin Allred. After weeks of heavily outspending Cruz, the Senate Leadership Fund's poll revealed that Allred has pulled to within a point. Right now, Cruz stands at 48% and Allred is at 47%. In mid-September, Cruz was ahead 47-44%. On Tuesday, they met face to face in Dallas. Their difference on abortion is stark. Senator Cruz, who champions unborn babies, said this. CRUZ: “In Texas, we overwhelmingly support that parents should be notified and have to consent before their child gets an abortion. In Texas, we overwhelmingly agree that late-term abortions in the eighth and ninth months, that's too extreme. And I'll tell you, in Texas, we overwhelmingly agree that taxpayer money shouldn't pay for abortions. “Unfortunately, Congressman Allred's voting record rejects that Texas consensus. He has voted in favor of striking down Texas' law that gives parents the right to be notified and consent. He's voted in favor of striking down Texas' law and legalizing abortion up to and including the eighth and ninth month of pregnancy. That's extreme, and it's not where the people of Texas are.” Congressman Collin Allred gave this response. ALLRED: “When I'm in the United States Senate, we'll restore a woman's right to choose. We'll make Roe v Wade the law of the land again. That's my commitment to Texans.” CRUZ: “If you listen to Congressman Allred's answer, at no point did he make any reference to his own record. He desperately wants to hide from the fact that, as a congressman, he voted to strike down Texas' parental notification law. He voted to strike down Texas' parental consent law. He voted to legalize late-term abortions, including the eighth and ninth months. He says he wants to codify Roe vs. Wade, but that's not what he voted for.” Colorado's pro-abortion Amendment 79 Pro-abortion groups in Colorado and their lawyer friends have cleverly written Amendment 79 to sound like it's about “protecting women's health,” but don't be fooled. It blows a hole in the constitutional rights of parents, it redirects the tax dollars of Coloradans, and it endangers the lives of babies—both born and unborn, according to Colorado Right To Life. First, if a teenage girl wants an abortion, Amendment 79 overrides parental notification laws. Second, for the first time in Colorado's history, Amendment 79 would repeal taxpayer protections and create a funnel for taxpayer dollars to eventually pay for both in-state and out-of-state abortions. Third, it would enable late-term abortions up to the ninth month, even up to the moment of birth. Amendment 79 makes baby-killing an iron-clad right in the Colorado constitution like free speech or the right to bear arms. Proverbs 31:8 is clear. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” So, if you live in Colorado, please consider volunteering to help Colorado Right to Life get the word out about why Amendment 79 would be terrible. We have it linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. SpaceX successfully lands booster rocket using jet propulsion And finally, the fifth test launch of the SpaceX Starship vehicle came with a party trick—a landing—which it stuck, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. Not since the Moon landings has an American been able to say with as much certainty that they witnessed something straight out of science fiction—a vessel coming down from space and landing on the Earth using jet propulsion. The must-see video footage is unforgettable and documents a truly staggering accomplishment, as not only is the Starship the first reusable rocket to land using propulsion, but the Starship is the largest, heaviest, and most powerful flying object ever made by humans. The maneuver saw the Starship's enormous first-stage booster, the rocket component needed to push the craft out of the atmosphere, glide in free fall down from the sky before activating thrusters to slow and guide its descent; eventually parking on a dime next to the launch tower's “chopstick” arms which literally grab it. As SpaceX employees screamed and cheered at the company's Hawthorne, California headquarters, Kate Tice, SpaceX manager of Quality Systems Engineering, was ecstatic. (cheering and clapping) TICE: “This is absolutely insane! On the first-ever attempt, we have successfully caught the Super Heavy booster back at the launch tower.” And SpaceX spokesman Dan Huot was equally incredulous. HUOT: “Are you kidding me?” (laughter and clapping) Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, October 18th, in the year of our Lord 2024. //The Wire//2000Z September 2, 2024////ROUTINE////BLUF: UNITED STATES HIJACKS VENEZUELAN PRESIDENTIAL AIRCRAFT. POSSIBLE US SERVICE MEMBERS ATTACKED IN TURKEY. HISTORIC FRENCH CHURCH BURNS IN SAINT OMER.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Turkey: This morning, Turkish government officials allegedly leaked Turkey's bid to join BRICS. AC: Very few details have leaked, however it's likely that Turkey has secretly been in talks to join BRICS for many months, since the new additions of the UAE, Saudia Arabia, Iran, and others earlier this spring. This morning, local Turkish media (and users on social media) published videos of what have been claimed to be US service members from the USS WASP ARG being assaulted/abused in the streets of Izmir during a routine port call. AC: The USS Wasp did arrive in Izmir yesterday, as confirmed by social media posts by U.S. Fleet Forces Command. However, it's not clear as to if the people being assaulted in the viral videos that have circulated social media are indeed US service members. No statements by defense officials have emerged to confirm or deny this incident as of this report.Middle East: US CENTCOM released a press statement over the weekend highlighting the wounding of 7 US service members during an operation in western Iraq. The report claims that 15 ISIS militants were killed during the operation, which was conducted in coordination with local Iraqi support.Israel: Protests voicing opposition to Netanyahu ignited again last night. Domestic demonstrations against the Israeli government have been regular over the past few months, but after the discovery of 6 dead hostages in Gaza a few days ago, demonstrations have become more widespread.France: Early this morning another major church fire broke out in Pas-de-Calais. The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Saint-Omer suffered a catastrophic fire, resulting in the collapse of the Steeple. The cause of the fire is not known. AC: This continues the trend of historic church fires throughout France, as this church was originally completed in 1859 and renovated in 2018.Dominican Republic: The United States hijacked the personal aircraft of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. This was conducted via a covert operation in the Dominican Republic, as American operatives allegedly acting via the DoJ, DHS, and DoS stole the plane as it was parked on the ground.Far East: Tensions between the Philippines and China again came to a head near the Sabina Shoal over the weekend, as another collision occurred between PLAN and Philippine Coast Guard vessels. AC: This is the third deliberate collision reported over the past few months, with Chinese and Filipino vessels routinely increasing harassment operations against each other, which now include routine and deliberate collisions between vessels.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Very few details remain confirmed concerning the possible incident involving US service members in Turkey, however this situation bears very familiar hallmarks of previous incidents. The attack was carried out by the Youth Union of Turkey (TGB), a well-known revolutionary organization (comprised largely of a conglomeration of Socialists and Turkish Nationalists). Of note, this attack is not the first carried out by this group; nearly-identical attacks were carried out on US service members in 2011, 2013, and 2014. TGB is particularly fond of more-kinetic actions that take the form of restraining US service members and placing a bag over their head, echoing the historical tones of the organization's Socialist origins. In any case, restraining, beating, and mock-executing US service members is a pastime of this organization that more broadly is often an indicator of Turkish sentiment throughout the region.Regarding the theft of Maduro's aircraft, questions remain both regarding the legality of seizing another

So, people get kind of confused here,” says Abdulwahid. There are around 50 exclusive gaming stations featuring immersive games and arcade experiences. In the creator zone, victors can design their own digital shoes using voice technology. If it's interactive gameplay you're after, head to the Hyper K area. The House of Hype in Saudia Arabia opened in January and is a permanent venue and costs 89 Saudi Riyals to enter (approximately $24). This article was provided by The Associated Press.

Cuba is going through its worst economic crisis in decades. Last week, Cuban government officials announced a new package of austerity measures, which include massive hikes for transportation fares, as well as fuel, electricity, and natural gas, and further restrictions on businesses. And, earlier this week, the US Supreme Court allowed border agents to remove razor wire along the US-Mexico border. Local authorities had installed the fencing to curb migration. Also, it's rare to hear people asking to pay more taxes. But earlier this month, more than 250 of the self-proclaimed super-rich signed an open letter calling on world leaders to tax them more. Plus, a liquor store has opened in Saudia Arabia for the first time in 70 years.
In Yemen a rebel movement of Shia Islamists has been firing missiles at commercial shipping in the Red Sea, provoking several rounds of U.S. airstrikes in retaliation. Few Americans know much about the Houthis, who go by the formal name of Ansar Allah or "Defenders of God." The Houthis seized control of Sana'a in 2014, leading to years of catastrophic war once Saudia Arabia intervened to try to restore the ousted government. Today, this relatively small militia is disrupting global shipping, as cargo ships have been forced to avoid the strait at the mouth of the Red Sea on the way to the Suez Canal. In this episode, Eurasia Group analyst Gregory Brew discusses the Houthis' motives and the impact of their missile attacks on the geopolitics of the region.
