In the previous lesson, the chapter titled ‘what a muslim should stay away from’ was covered. The seven deadly sins were mentioned, as well as disobedience to the parents, making false testimony and backbiting. The definition of major sins and minor sins were covered, and how a major sin can be recognised. In this lesson, Ustaadh Abu Humayd covers the topics of sihr (magic) & its types, killing and taking the wealth of orphans. Sihr (magic) is disbelief in Allaah. Shaykh Ibn Baaz (May Allaah have mercy upon him) said a magician cannot be a magician except that he falls into disobeying Allaah and into obeying the devils. Allaah says in the Quran: وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ “And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah (i.e. Muhammad Peace be upon him) confirming what was with them, a party of those who were given the Scripture threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know!” (Al-Baqarah: 101) Allaah then says in the next ayah: وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَا تَتْلُوا۟ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَٰنَ ۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ “They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Nesta quinta-feira, 5 de novembro, a França lança o primeiro Dia Contra o Bullying nas Escolas, um problema que afeta 700 mil estudantes por ano no país. Para marcar a data, o Ministério da Educação preparou uma grande campanha que antes mesmo de estrear já causou uma grande polêmica. A campanha do governo francês tem como alvo alunos do ensino básico de 7 a 11 anos, principal faixa de idade das vítimas de bullying na França. A iniciativa conta com um trabalho de sensibilização e novas ações dentro dos estabelecimentos escolares do país. Um número de telefone de atendimento às vítimas também foi criado, além de um site que orienta alunos, pais e professores. Para lançar a campanha, rádios, televisões e cinemas veiculam a partir de hoje um vídeo, que foi alvo de muitos protestos. Assista: O vídeo mostra uma sala de aula em que alunos agridem, jogam papeis e insultam um colega. “Você não vale nada”, “cretino”, “você não sabe nem mesmo ler”, “burro”, “você é a vergonha da classe”, disparam os jovens estudantes contra o pequeno Baptiste, que em nenhum momento reage. Quem também não tem nenhuma reação é a professora, que não percebe o bullying contra o garoto e continua a aula normalmente. Na saída da escola, é uma colega da vítima que o consola e oferece ajuda. O material irritou os professores. O principal sindicato da categoria na França, SNUipp-FSU, pede que a difusão do vídeo seja cancelada. “É preciso que o Ministério da Educação compreenda que se queremos fazer uma campanha séria contra esse grave fenômeno do bullying, precisamos de ações que unam todas as partes, ou seja, aqueles que sofrem com esse problema e que devem se aliar para lutar contra o bullying nas escolas: alunos, pais e professores. Mas, ao contrário, o vídeo da campanha do governo ridiculariza os professores, mostra uma professora que não se importa com seus alunos, que não vê o que acontece na sala de aula e que não faz nada. Isso passa a mensagem de que as escolas não são a solução, mas o problema. E esse é exatamente o oposto do que nós desejamos veicular”, diz secretário-geral do sindicato, Sébatien Sihr. Mobilização urgente No entanto, nem todos tiveram essa percepção do vídeo. Para associações, o mais urgente é a mobilização sobre a questão. Para o presidente da Associação de Luta contra o Bullying, Pierre Gouzy, ele próprio vítima de violências na escola, a iniciativa do governo é importante porque serve para esclarecer o que é o bullying e como agir quando o aluno é violência desse tipo de agressão. “Quando sofri bullying, não tinha consciência do que era e não sabia como resolver esse problema. Eu tinha 13 anos quando o bullying começou na escola e isso durou até os meus 16 anos, aconteceu entre o ensino básico e o médio todos os dias, realmente. Eu não sabia o que fazer. Uma única vez ousei falar na escola, mas eu não tinha nem consciência do que o que eu vivia era bullying. Quando conversei com minha mãe sobre o assunto, ela disse que eu era o culpado pelo que me acontecia”, conta. "Pode acontecer em qualquer país" A psicóloga brasileira Elisângela Deserbais trabalha em Paris e tem entre seus pacientes algumas vítimas de bullying. Ela ressalta que esse tipo de violência não é vinculada a uma cultura ou sociedade específica: ”Pode acontecer em qualquer país. E tem vários pontos em comum, independente da sociedade em que acontece: é um ato caracterizado pela violência psicológica que pode ser verbal, física, ou ambos. As formas de agressão mais frequentes são empurrões, pontapés e insultos. Mas as crianças e adolescentes sofrem muito mesmo é com as mentiras que são espalhadas com o intuito de humilhar e ferir a dignidade da vítima”. Na opinião da psicóloga brasileira Julia Thomé Bensoussan, que também atua em Paris, o espaço limitado que as crianças ocupam na sociedade francesa pode dificultar a percepção do sofrimento delas. “Como em geral as crianças francesas não são muito ouvidas, talvez seja mais difícil perceber que ela está sofrendo bullying. Mas eu não acho que isso propicie mais essa violência na França. Mas acredito que essa característica pode atrapalhar no momento de detectar o problema”, analisa. "Condenado a me matar" O jovem Jonathan Destin sofreu com o bullying dos colegas de escola durante seis anos sem que professores ou pais percebessem a gravidade das violências. Aos 16 anos, ele decidiu colocar um fim ao seu sofrimento e tentou se matar ateando fogo em si mesmo. Com 72% do corpo queimado, passou três meses em coma e foi submetido a 17 cirurgias. Hoje, aos 21 anos, ele publicou um livro sobre o assunto, "Comdamné a me Tuer", em português, Condenado a me Matar. “Com esse relato espero sensibilizar o máximo de pessoas possível sobre o bullying. Quando fui vítima deste problema, não sabia que havia uma saída para ele”, relembra. Às vítimas de violências na escola, Destin tem um principal conselho: “Gostaria de dizer às pessoas que enfrentam esse problema que o denunciem, que conversem sobre isso com alguém em quem confiem, seja pais, um professor, um amigo e que, sobretudo, não se isolem”. De acordo com dados do Ministério da Educação, 15% dos estudantes do ensino básico sofrem bullying, um número que na verdade é muito maior, já que a primeira reação das crianças ao ser alvo de violências físicas ou verbais na escola é se calar.
