The Umrah, Session 7 The Shade of The Kaba Prayer behind the Makaam-e-Ibraheem (as), your past & future sins are forgiven and you're safe on the Last Day, see Surah 2 v125. Touching the Yemini corner & Black stone is an expiation of sins. On The Last Day, The Yemini corner will testify to those who touched it with faith. Jibreel (as) seeks forgiveness for those who touch The Yemeni Corner. ZamZam is a spring from Paradise.
The Umrah, Session 6 Prophet Nuh (as) performs Tawaaf on the Ark. Anyone who performed pilgrimage will cling to the Kaba on The Last Day and will perform Tawaaf whilst entering The Garden of Eternity. The Salaf stated, Around the Kaba are the graves of 300 Prophets. Between the Yemini corner and the black stone are the graves of several Prophets. Imam Abu Hanifa (rah) relates from the salaf, 3 of the Prophets are, Hud (as), Salih (as) & Shoaib (as). Prophet Adam (as) is buried under Mt Qubais. Makaam-e-Ibraheem & The Black Stone descend from Paradise. The Black Stone is the right hand of Allah SWT on earth. Touching the Black Stone is akin to pledging to Allah SWT. Jibreel (as) visits The Messenger ﷺ whilst covered in Angel dust.
Syrians have finally got their voices back. After 50 years of living under the cruelty of their President, Bashar al-Assad, they can now speak freely without fear, although some are still cautious. We talk to Syrians across the country, including Ibraheem from Aleppo. He tells host Mark Lowen: “I couldn't ever think of this moment… this is years and years of fear and hate that has ended. Mark also speaks to three women, relieved to see the end of Assad but uncertain about what the future holds for their country. And we bring together Syrians in Germany, Italy and Turkey to discuss their reaction to the downfall of Assad and ask whether they plan to return to their homeland.

Aniah Blanchard was a 19-year-old college student living in Auburn, Alabama, when on October 23, 2019, she never returned home. Despite dropping off her brother and telling him she was headed back to her apartment, she never arrived. Then, odd messages to her roommate started coming through, and by the next day, it was clear that she'd never made it back. Friends and family joined in on the search, and two days later, her car was found abandoned 50 miles away. There was enough blood inside of her vehicle that investigators determined foul play had occurred. Over the following weeks, three men ended up getting arrested in connection with her abduction, but only one of those men, Ibraheem Yazeed, was determined to be responsible for her actual murder. About a month later, Aniah's body was found, and despite overwhelming evidence to suggest Ibraheem murdered her, he has yet to face trial in part because of the pandemic and also in part due to our slow justice system. However, justice is on the horizon. Her family never gave up hope that she would be found, and they have since created Aniah's Heart, a nonprofit in her honor. Despite major strides taken by a new generation of bold entrepreneurs and brands, Black-owned food and beverage companies still face persistent headwinds getting on the shelves of mainstream supermarkets, finding significant investment, and scaling long-term. From a consumer and an equity standpoint, this is untenable. A significant slice – 14% – of American consumers are Black. We know that there are Black founders out there but they are not necessarily making their way into our consciousness or on the radar of much of the established CPG structure. As a resource for all founders, Taste Radio, in collaboration with Quentin Vennie, the co-founder and CEO of beverage brand Equitea, has developed a special series that highlights conversations on various aspects of the challenges felt by all entrepreneurs filtered through the experience of Black founders. We also discuss the ways that the environment has changed, and how it has not, as well as identifying resources that our founders may not yet realize exist. In this first edition of the series, we sat down with Quentin, Partake Foods founder Denise Woodard and Ibraheem Basir, the founder of A Dozen Cousins, for a roundtable discussion that explores the foundational reasons that each started their brands, how modern Black-owned brands are extending a legacy of Black entrepreneurship, ways in which they are building their companies' culture to reflect their own, and the impact of Black-owned and ethnic-themed brands in expanding the audience for natural and organic foods. Show notes: 0:35: Quentin Vennie, Equitea; Denise Woodard, Partake Foods; Ibraheem Basir, A Dozen Cousins – Quentin discusses the origins of the special series and the goals he hopes to achieve; Ibraheem and Denise talk about their respective families history in entrepreneurship, before Quentin explains how the creation of Equitea is partly rooted in his inability to find products that represented him or his culture. Ibraheem and Denise discuss the impact of their experience in corporate CPG companies in the development of their brands; they also explain what gave investors and retailers confidence to “place a bet” on their brands. The trio also talk about how the ebb and flow in how the CPG industry supports Black founders via diversity initiatives and why Quentin was unable to benefit from an initiative intended to support BIPOC entrepreneurship. Ibraheem explains how culture influences all aspects of A Dozen Cousins; Denise talks about incorporating a holistic perspective on culture into Partake Foods; Quentin discusses how black founders in food & beverage can collectively and independently help each other be successful. Ibraheem talks about “the sticky part” of racism and how it affects fundraising; Denise highlights the challenges faced by investment funds that are focused on women- and minority-owned businesses and the trickle down effect on brands like hers; and all three founders explain what they hope to leave as a legacy. This week on Hold Your Fire! Richard talks with Crisis Group experts Jerome Drevon, Ibraheem Bahiss and Olga Oliker about the attack on Crocus City Hall in a Moscow suburb claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS), how the group and its affiliates have evolved in recent years and the potential implications of the strike for Russian politics and the war in Ukraine. Richard first talks with Jerome and Ibraheem about what we know about the attack and the involvement of ISIS and the group's affiliate in Afghanistan, Islamic State-Khorasan Province (IS-KP). They discuss how ISIS's structure has evolved after losing its territory in Iraq and Syria and how much of a global threat it and its affiliates now pose. They also discuss the Taliban's fight against IS-KP and its relations with outside powers worried about threats emanating from Afghanistan. Richard then talks with Olga about the attacks' implications for Russia, Moscow's attempts to link responsibility to Kyiv and what that might mean for the war in Ukraine. For more in-depth analysis of topics discussed in this episode, check out our recent Q&A ISIS Strikes Moscow, our 2016 report Exploiting Disorder: al-Qaeda and the Islamic State and our Jihad in Modern Conflict page. Ibraheem Basir started his career at General Mills, where he worked on iconic brands like Annie's and had the opportunity to learn about sourcing and ingredient quality—and that's when the idea for A Dozen Cousins. Ibraheem wanted to make food that was good for people and that also evoked the same feelings he associated with his childhood. At first, the business was bringing in enough to cover rent, but what Ibraheem really needed was to get into retail. And then this happened.

In 2013, Mariam Ibraheem was arrested by Sudan authorities on Christmas Eve for the crime of being a Christian. They told her that she had broken Islamic law by marrying a Christian man and was charged with adultery under Sharia Law. Mariam says she knew that her life would never be the same, and she was threatened with flogging and a death sentence. On Christmas Day, Jesus told her, “You are not alone.” Sentenced to death by hanging and rejected by society, Mariam describes the pain of persecution, the importance of tending to the needs of the persecuted church despite Christian's fears, and turning to the Bible for guidance through the most terrifying moments in life. What saved her life is astonishing! TAKEAWAYS Mariam says that when Christians ignore the suffering of the body of Christ, they are rejecting Him Mariam's father was a Muslim, but her mother was a Christian, which is considered adultery and worthy of death According to Islamic law, Mariam's pregnancy saved her life: a pregnant woman cannot be hanged Islamic culture is very harsh toward women; women are viewed as weak and unintelligent and have far less choices and rights than men
Men lead the human race, whether or not the world acknowledges it; they always have, and they always will. Men like to boast of power, but such boasting is worse than worthless when the manner of exercising that power causes suffering rather than producing life. Miriam Ibraheem is one of the most courageous, strong people you will ever meet. Born as an Ethiopian refugee in Sudan, Miriam has known suffering all of her life. Miriam's suffering came from men who don't know how to be men. Her story illustrates the vital need for the Gospel in the hearts of men everywhere. But her story also demonstrates courage that will put most men to shame.
