Host Adam Bittner and Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter react to the team's picks on Day 3 of the NFL draft. -How can fourth-round pick Jack Sawyer add to the already deep EDGE group that includes T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig? -Does the defensive line now have the necessary depth to succeed now that fifth-round pick Yahya Black has joined first-round pick Derrick Harmon and veterans Cam Heyward and Keeanu Benton? -What will sixth-rounder Will Howard offer the QB room, which currently includes Mason Rudolph and may still sign Aaron Rodgers? -Will seventh-rounders Carson Bruener and Donte Kent make contributions? Or are they likely depth pieces? Our duo tackles those questions, plus reacts to Shedeur Sanders heading to Cleveland to join a crowded QB group that already includes Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, Deshaun Watson and former Steelers QB Kenny Pickett.
Eagles make a few more moves in signing LB Devin White and trading for former Steelers QB Kenny Pickett. We talk about those moves and do another mock draft to see where we think the Birds will go in April's NFL Draft. Also, we go over the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. We give our thoughts, give out some sleeper picks, and tell you who we think is going to win the first round games.
You didn't really think we were done, we, Dunn, did you? The Eagles made a quarterback move Friday, swapping draft picks to acquire former first-round pick and Michael Dunn acquaintance Kenny Pickett as their new No. 2 quarterback. Tanner McKee must be livid. Zach Berman and Bo Wulf get back in the saddle to discuss the move. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

November 29, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 56 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers so far this week and that includes the few transactions made by the team on Tuesday. We also discuss the overall health of the Steelers to start Week 13 on the heels of what all head coach Mike Tomlin said during his Tuesday press conference. The Tomlin weekly media session gave us quite a few talking abouts to discuss. We focus a lot on what Tomlin said about WR Diontae Johnson when it comes to his lack of effort on the first half fumble this past Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Several other Tomlin presser talking points are also addressed in-depth. Hines Ward and James Harrison, two former Steelers players, are now Pro Football Hall of Fame semifinalists for 2024 so Alex and I discuss that news and the chances each have of getting into Canton this time around. Early in this show, Alex and I welcome author John Harris to the show. Harris, a former Steelers beat writer, has recently released his new book; Tomlin: The Soul of a Football Coach, just in time for the holidays. We talk extensively with Harris about his new book. If you would like to purchase his new book, please do so via this Amazon link below. It would make a great Christmas present for any fan of the Steelers. Coming out of our interview with Harris, Alex and I go over the Steelers' Week 12 win against the Bengals once again now that we both have studied the all-22 tape from that contest. We start on offense and then move on to the defense. We talk some more about the play of Steelers QB Kenny Pickett on Sunday and changes we saw on offense. We discuss the Steelers heading into Week 13 and wonder if this team might be able to make some noise in the playoffs should they ultimately make the postseason tournament. We spend time in this show talking about Steelers DL DeMarvin Leal due to his decrease in snaps played these last several weeks. We also spend time talking about several members of the Steelers rookie class heading into Week 13. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 138-minute episode as well, and we finish it up by answering several listener questions. Learn more about your ad choices. November 22, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 53 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I talk more about the Pittsburgh Steelers deciding to move on from offensive coordinator Matt Canada. We talk about what maybe was the final nail that caused that move on from Canada and the challenges that now await Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan as they take over the control of the offense for the remainder of the season. Alex and I discuss what changes we might see on offense moving forward and what the overall goal of that unit should be throughout the final seven regular season games. We discuss if there's much optimism from us both when it comes to the offense improving greatly with Faulkner and Sullivan now running it. We also discuss what the duties of those two might look like moving forward. Alex has already connected several dots when it comes to a potential new Steelers offensive coordinator for 2024 so we go over that list of names that he cobbled together for Wednesday morning. We also discuss the possibility of Faulkner or Sullivan getting that job permanently in 2024 and what would need to go right for such a thing to happen. We talk more about Steelers QB Kenny Pickett in this show when it comes to hope he'll show growth in his play the remainder of this season. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and with that, Alex and I go over a few other things that he said during his talk with the media. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 95-minute episode as well and we finish it up by answering several listener questions. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. November 17, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 50 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex and I get right to talking about the Thursday night AFC North game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens in addition to the significant injuries that happened during that contest with QB Joe Burrow and TE Mark Andrews leading that list. The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Cleveland Browns on the road on Sunday, so Alex and I address the current injury situations of both teams heading into Friday. We talk about what the Steelers' Friday injury report might look like and how Pittsburgh might handle their inside linebacker and safety situations on Sunday in Cleveland against the Browns. The Steelers coordinators, Matt Canada, Teryl Austin, and Danny Smith, all talked to the media on Thursday and on the heels of those pressers, Alex and I review the main talking points to come out of all of them. In the middle of this Friday show, Alex and I are once again joined by Scott Petrak, who covers the Browns for The Chronicle-Telegram and The Medina Gazette. We spend 30 minutes with Scott talking about the Browns quarterback situation, both currently and past the 2023 season, as well as previewing the Sunday Week 11 game in Cleveland. If not already doing so, please follow Scott on Twitter/X at @ScottPetrak and make sure to read all of his work online at BrownsZone.com. After having Scott on, Alex and I move forward with our own breakdown of the upcoming Sunday game between the Steelers and the Browns. We dedicate some extra time to talking about Steelers QB Kenny Pickett and his third down completion percentage. We also focus heavily on Browns rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who will start on Sunday against the Steelers. To close out this Friday show, Alex and I provide all of our picks against the spread for the remaining Week 11 games. We pick the final score of the Steelers/Browns game as well. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 123-minute episode, and we get to a several listener emails to close out the show. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. NFL Insider Tom Pelissero and guest host Andrew Siciliano discuss the Chicago Bears Thursday Night Football win over the Frank Reich's seemingly hapless Carolina Panthers led by struggling rookie QB Bryce Young, if the New York Jets would consider benching QB Zach Wilson, how Kevin O'Connell was able to right the Vikings' ship after a disastrous start to the season, and more. Ravens S Geno Stone tells Andrew what it's been like going from a 7th-round draft pick to leading the NFL in interceptions, what Week 10's huge AFC North showdown with the Cleveland Browns means, what's impressed him most about Lamar Jackson, and if he, an Iowa Hawkeye alum, thinks the Big Ten should suspend Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh. Andrew previews NFL Week 10 with some very interesting fun facts about Colts QB Gardner Minshew, Ravens WR Odell Beckham Jr, Steelers QB Kenny Pickett, and more. November 6, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 45 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex and I quickly talk about the game that Minnesota Vikings QB Josh Dobbs had on Sunday. Every team in the AFC North won in Week Nine so Alex and I make sure to go over the state of that division entering Week 10. The Pittsburgh Steelers made a few transactions on Monday morning, so we discuss that news in addition to a few fines that NFL handed down to players over the weekend related to Week Eight action. Is Steelers WR George Pickens a distraction right now due to his attitude? Is he going to be a problem for the team moving forward and will he ultimately see a second contract in Pittsburgh? Alex and I dive into all of the questions and more related to Pickens. We have now hit the 20-game mark for Steelers QB Kenny Pickett, so Alex and I take time in this episode to evaluate him and go over the good, bad, and ugly related to his overall play so far. We attempt to rank Pickett league-wide as part of an exercise and look ahead at what is next for him as he attempts to show he can become a long-term franchise quarterback in Pittsburgh. Alex and I make sure to mix in some all-22 talk related to the Steelers Week Nine win on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans with most of that talk being related to the offensive side of the football. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 107-minute episode, and we get to a several listener emails to close out the show. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest practice squad signings made by the Pittsburgh Steelers as they begin preparing to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at home. The Steelers Wednesday injury report for Week Eight will likely have a few names on it so Alex and I go over that topic as far as who we expect to see listed. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and as usual, there are plenty of topics to come out for us to discuss. There were a lot of them. Now that we have digested the all-22 tape from the Steelers Sunday win against the Los Angeles Rams, Alex and I break down what all we learned and saw on both offense and defense. We obviously spend a lot of time talking about the play of Steelers QB Kenny Pickett on Sunday and what the outlook is for him these next several games. July 14, 2023 - Season 13, Episode 152 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I start things off by talking about the Netflix 'Quarterback' series that just dropped. We have a lengthy conversation about Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett in this show on the heels of a recent interview that he did. We talk about the top coverage he likes to see, his maturation process and much more as he enters his second NFL season. Steelers wide receiver Allen Robinson II was a co-host on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Friday morning, so we quickly cover a few things that he had to say to open that show. The Steelers lost a front office member recently, so Alex makes sure to recap that news in the middle of this show. I have now wrapped up my series on Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt and the right tackles he's likely to face in 2023 so Alex and I finish recapping those latest posts. We then move forward to discuss more posts in my ongoing 90-In-30 Training Camp series. We have a handful of Steelers players to discuss in this show related to that series, and they are Ryan McCollum, Anthony McFarland Jr., Dan Moore Jr., Tanner Morgan, Tanner Muse, Toby Ndukwe, Keanu Neal, Tre Norwood, and James Nyamwaya. Locked On Steelers – Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Steelers
Chris Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast, and is joined by Josh Taylor of KDKA-TV and 93.7 The Fan.The Pittsburgh Steelers have seen their rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett playing better football of late to help them win 3 of the last 4 games. But what changes to his game that are night and day have balanced the offense and helped the Steelers become one of the best time of possession offenses in the NFL? Chris Carter and Josh Taylor explore and analyze. Also, Najee Harris, Benny Snell, Jaylen Warren and the Steelers' offensive line have been hot in the run game over the past few weeks. But can that streak be sustained against the No. 2 rushing defense of the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday? Finally, Mike Tomlin was seen telling off a fan with "Man I'm f***ing working." It's clear he's much more intense right now, but that might be a good thing for his team.
