Emmeline Anthony is a student at Somerset College and performed this story as part of Storyfest 2020. Her story 'When This Becomes Enough' tackles an issue I know I felt when I was in my teens. Why go outside when I am totally comfortable inside my room? My perfectly safe space. I asked Emmeline, if her story was a song, what would the lyrics be? I then used her lysics to write the song in this episode. Thanks so much to Andrea Lewis and the Storyfest team and to all the staff and students at Somerset College on the Gold Coast. And thank you Emmeline for writing and performing this story for us. Thanks also to Jake Morton for the beats and samples and to Somerset students, Aleeza Tariq and Riddhi Athota for the introductions. I hope you enjoy.
Ayla Chirathivat-Geralds loves the world and when the pandemic hit in 2020, she knew that she would not be going on an aeroplane for quite some time. But luckily for her she discovered that the place she calls home is a pretty wonderful place. This Stories in the Key of GC performance was presented at Somerset Storyfest 2022 held at the wonderful Somerset College on the Gold Coast. Thanks so much to Andrea Lewis and the Storyfest team for having us and especially to Ayla for writing and performing her story for this event. Thanks also to Jake Morton for running the sound design whilst I played the piano and to Somerset students, Aleeza Tariq and Riddhi Athota for the introductions.

Naturalist, poet and seasoned bushwalker worked for over a decade to uncover the Bundian Way, a 380-kilometre ancient pathway from Mount Kosciuszko to the New South Wales far south coast, used by both the Aboriginal people of the area and the earliest British arrivals. John collaborated with the Eden Aboriginal Land Council to survey and researching the history of the ancient pathway. Thanks to their efforts, today the Bundian Way is heritage listed. But what is it about the Bundian Way that makes it less like a walk and more like a pilgrimage? The first session from the first ever Storyfest in Milton is here and it is a doozy! All about what does go on inside the mind of a crime writer. Are they are constantly murdering people in their sleep. Or maybe they trawl the internet for hours searching for despicable inspirations. Who better to ask than three of Australia's bestselling crime writers as they reveal what draws them to write crime, the dark and the funny, with Candice Fox, Michael Robotham and Christian White. Hosted by Meredith Jaffè. Hilarious, shocking and interesting as hell this panel will have you crying with laughter and gasping for breath. A brilliant start to an outstanding festival. She is the apprentice of the highly-regarded storytellers Paola Balbi and Davide Bardi and a translator of bilingual performances. Martina's repertoire consists of Greek and Roman myths and global folktales, with a focus on the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
