RUN This week we talk about our training runs in the Florida heat. We also kick off our 30k Gauntlet Challenge from the Medal Chasers website. This is a series of 5k runs for each infinity stone in the “Tony Stark” version of the gantlet medal called the Nano Gantlet. This virtual race series also benefits the Pinky Swear Foundation that supports children and their families fighting childhood cancer, just like the 10k version we completed a few weeks ago. This week was a tough one because we had to combat the Florida heat and humidity as well a forecast full of storms we had to plan our running around, so it became a bit tricky to time it just right and get it done. But we did it! EAT This week, we highlight the return of a local taco food truck called Death By Taco 239. We are so happy to have it back on Mondays at Nice Guys, when the pizzeria is closed. We had the Saigon, Szechuan, and Rockefeller tacos. They came in an order of two tacos each on a corn tortilla. Our favorite? The Rockefeller. It has cornmeal-fried oyster mushrooms, pickled sweet corn, pickled mustard seed, preserved lemon aioli, shallot fennel slaw, and cilantro. So good!! if you want to hear more about this amazing truck, we featured them on Episode #106. We are so glad to see that they will be open again on a regular basis! Meet you anywhere they are, anytime! DRINK While eating the tacos, we got to sample a Mexican Lager that is new to us. Since the food truck was parked at Nice Guys Pizza at the time we ate, we were able to a beer that was on draft there called Pachanga from Sun King Brewery. We find similar flavor to other Mexican Lagers we’ve had in the past like No Nombre from Fort Myers Brewing Company or Modelo Especial. It is a lighter beer that is nice to have on a hot and humid Florida day after a run. THAT’S A WRAP! Special thank you to our newest insider and patron of the show, Rob Nadeau! We have never met in person, but we feel like we know him. He has called into the show before and continues to show us fantastic places to run as he posts in the runcation nation Facebook Group. Pour a glass and listen to the dynamic duo behind the beer in every Hoosier's fridge, Clay Robinson and Dave Colt from Sun King Brewing Company. While standing in their barrel room, they share the stories behind the name Big Tickle ("Everyone loves tickling!"- Clay), the creation of the twist-top can, and how Sun King Brewery has been managing during the pandemic when they went a whole week without brewing a beer. Since we cannot currently enjoy a Wee Mac, Osiris, or Sunlight Cream Ale with our friends in one of their four taprooms, Sun King Brewery is ensuring we are all able to quarantine happily with our favorite brews by offering curbside pickup. Sun King Brewery is also releasing hand sanitizer, which will be necessary for when they find themselves eating their way out of a pizza and cherry pie. They even taco-about a new food partnership in their downtown taproom. It will guac your world, so you better tune in. If you have eaten charcuterie at Bluebeard or watched a show at the Hi-Fi, you have encountered Brian Presnell's creative solution for the midwestern ash tree epidemic. Indy Urban Hardwood is turning the infected trees from inside the 465 Loop into furniture and art pieces featured in places like King Dough, Sun King Brewery, Ukiyo, The Garden Table, IMA, and more. Presnell grew up with teachers and mentors who recognized his artistic abilities and encouraged him to pursue them, which led him to the Herron School of Art and Design. After graduation, he worked for Design Industries creating displays for shopping mall stores. Anxious about getting a chisel back in his hand, Presnell moved to the IMA's Design Department. When the IMA cut down trees for a parking lot, he recognized that Indianapolis did not have an urban wood business. Now, Presnell's goal is to make urban wood one of the first choices for materials in Indianapolis. Tune in to learn about what happens to excess wood in Indianapolis, about Presenell's creative process, and what happens when a booger ends up on a Rothko painting. The leading cause of bankruptcy in America is the inability to pay medical bills- an estimated half a million people file for this reason every year! Almost no one is immune to the rising cost of healthcare, and fellow podcaster Dan Weissmann is here to commiserate. Dan’s podcast, An Arm and a Leg, is part journalism part personal narrative as he dives into real life experiences of Americans with their health coverage. Healthcare is definitely confusing, and based on the fact that our country spends almost 20% of our GDP on medical spending- it is also clear that costs are out of control. During this episode we each enjoyed an SKB IPA by Sun King Brewery- a big thanks to James for donating this beer to the show! A life in rock n' roll is not easy. Just ask Indianapolis' Craig Bell. He's gone from a member of one of the country's most influential -- yet unsung -- 1970s proto-punk bands to giving up on music, and now playing with a new band. Stay tuned right after the five song set for an interview with Craig Bell from WFYI's Eric Weddle. Small Studio is made possible with support from Sun King Brewery. Set List: 1. '62 Hawk - 2. She's Alright - 3. My Chatelaine - 4. Let It Rain - 5. Out Of My Mind. Band - Craig Bell - Lead Vocals & Bass, Nick Pryor - Guitar, Dusty Privette - Drums, Brad Wallace - Keys, Guitar

Collaborations o'plenty this episode. We grabbed all of the bottles we could here locally to bring you a collab trifecta. We've got beers from all over the state... or mostly, from the North of the state. To open our show we talk about, Double O Session IPA from Sun King Brewery out of Indianapolis and Revolution Brewing out of Chicago. Session IPA is a very apt description and each brewery was able to maintain their identity in this beer while the marriage of the two brought out a very distinct taste. That beer is promptly and professionally followed by a joint effort from Deviate Brewing and Black Acre Brewing both out of Indiana. This Quadruple IPA is named, Hop Lunacy and for very good reason. This one is a "right of passage" type IPA and probably tastes like nothing you've had before. This episode is finished off with a collaboration between 3 Floyds Brewing and Dark Matter Coffee out of Chicago. The Mastodon Crack The Skye is a very good beer, but this beer caused some argument among the group.Sit back and enjoy what may be our most beer centered beer podcast ever. Be sure to listen, rate, share, and subscribe.

We got to sit down at the new Sun King Brewery in Fishers, Indiana. We got to talk about what the new tap room has instore for them and they brought us over some great beer. If you haven't had the chance to give them a shot, get out from under the rock you live under and head over to one of their locations and enjoy!
So this one was a real winner. We welcomed Clay Robinson, co-founder of Sun King Brewery in Indianapolis, IN. We hyped him up, the other brewers from previous episodes hyped him up, and he sure delivered. We go off the rails a couple times, even having a technical issue, but all in all it was one of our best episodes yet. We love local beers, and we definitely loved Clay being on the show!
