Time management is one of those things everyone likes to talk about, but no one seems to have mastered.Try as we might to keep things in order, life just gets in the way and throws us curveball after curveball. My guest today says that the key to managing your time is not to try to keep everything in line; but to go with the flow of the chaos that is natural in life. Keep a "junk drawer" so to speak in your schedule, space for all the stuff that comes up that doesn't fit your neat and tidy schedule. The junk drawer in your kitchen serves a purpose: it keeps the rest of the kitchen clutter-free. A "junk drawer" in your schedule serves the same purpose to keep the priorities of your day in line.We discuss this and much more in today's episode with life coach Tabatha Perry! Here's a bit of what you'll hear in today's episode with Tabatha:-Getting from chaos to order...02:20-Dealing with the "junk drawer" we keep in our life...05:20-How to set boundaries on your time for your benefit...08:13-Time management vs. energy management...11:30-How to manage time and remain a tolerable person...13:55-Prioritizing tasks needed to do vs. life balance...16:15-Practical tips for managing your time...19:00-And much more...Connect with today's guest!Tabatha Perry is the ultimate go-to Life Coach, who encourages and equips women that are wanting less chaos and more order in their life! In this episode of “The Journey of My Mother's Son” podcast, I sit down to talk with Tabatha Perry. Tabatha Perry is the ultimate go-to for women that are the non 9-5ers. She encourages and equips women that are wanting less chaos and to get their daily life on track! With over 15 years of experience in the Criminal Justice System, 20+ moves under her belt, has a Masters in Social Worker, girl-mom, wifey and Life Coach, she's got advice that will make any day less stressful for the woman juggling many balls in the air! As a professional over-thinker, she's learned how to simplify her day and loves helping women create simple & small edits in their daily life so they step into their fullest God-given potential! In her own words, Tabatha says… “I'm Tabatha Perry, MSW (a fancy acronym for Master's of Social Work), and I believe you're capable of achieving anything you want. I also believe that you are busy, brilliant, and bombarded by a million little choices every day. My goal as your Life Coach is to help you strategize, organize, optimize your life that you may step into your fullest glory. A little background about me: I was born and raised in Alaska, have lived in 4 different states and have moved 22+ times while I was either working, going to school, pregnant, or being a stay-at-home mom. Although I LOVE structure and order, God has gifted me many life opportunities to grow my flexibility and patience. I have had quite the journey through my years of empowering others to show up as their truest self. I've helped dreamers from all walks of life: successful business owners, teen moms, those experiencing homelessness, prisoners, and my neighbors down the street. I love to be kept on my toes and I continue to appreciate people for who they are and the unique experiences they each have. I believe everyone has a story and has value. Everyone. And I want THEM to see that, too. That's right, that means you too. You have a lot to offer the world, sometimes we just get caught up in life and forget that. I'm just like you! I've thrived and also gotten caught up in life and just lived on autopilot. I've set goals, achieved many, and didn't get close to many more. I've worked hard for what I believe in, and sometimes didn't see the results I expected. I've made sacrifices I never thought possible to make my wildest visions come true. And those accomplishments came from my faith and me realizing every great goal starts at a gateway; every purpose needs a path; and every overachiever must strategize, organize, and optimize!” To find out more about Tabatha, check out her website at www.tabathaperry.coach.

I'm back! It's been 9 or so months since I last recorded an episode and there's a reason for it which I explain in this episode. Today I'm kicking off the return of the podcast with a series called Motherhood + Faith where I'll be interviewing various women who wear the hat of 'mama' but most importantly 'Christ follower'. My first guest is the lovely Tabatha Perry. Tabatha is a mother to two girls and a Christian Life Coach. She empowers and equips women who want less chaos in their life and want to get their life back on track. I talk with Tabatha about how mothers can find fulfillment in their mothering role and outside of it, how we can live out our calling as mothers as God originally intended us to and she shares a heartfelt message to the mothers who feel torn between working and mothering. What a joy to hear Tabatha Perry's inspirational story. Tabatha is an MSW (a fancy acronym for Master's of Social Work), and she believes you're capable of achieving anything you want. Tabatha shares the story of her very own life edit, and how she went from working in law to empowering others. Tabatha believes that you are busy, brilliant, and bombarded by a million little choices every day and her goal as a Life Coach is to help women strategize, organize, and optimize their life so that they may step to their fullest glory. I love that Tabatha was born and raised in Alaska, has lived in 4 different states, and has moved 22+ times! She was either working, going to school, pregnant or being a stay-at-home mom. She loves structure and order and is aware that God has gifted her many life opportunities to grow her flexibility and patience. What a journey Tabatha has had through her years of empowering others to show up as their truest self. She has helped dreamers from all walks of life: successful business owners, teen moms, those experiencing homelessness, prisoners, as well as her neighbors down the street. Tabatha loves being kept on her toes and she continues to appreciate people for who they are and the unique experiences they each have. Tabatha believes everyone has a story and value. Everyone. And wants THEM to see that, too. Tabatha feels the same as you and me! She has thrived and also gotten caught up in life and just lived on autopilot. She has set goals, achieved many, and didn't get close to many more. Tabatha has worked hard for what she believes in and sometimes didn't see the results she expected. She's made sacrifices she never thought possible to make her wildest visions come true. And those accomplishments came from faith and realizing every great goal starts at a gateway; every purpose needs a path; and every overachiever must strategize, organize, and optimize! In episode 111, we return -- again -- to the idea of identity and press in even deeper: what if our tendency to assume the identity of others is stifling the healing God has for them? Or put another way: what if God is inviting us to see those around us as He sees, so that we can be participants in their healing? I would not have chosen to talk about identity again, but out the gate that's where God took Tabatha Perry, and it became clear that God wasn't done challenging us on the role of identity in healing. Tabatha's stories invite us to confront how we see others, and to consider how God may be inviting us to a deeper level of love. Who might God be inviting you to see as He sees them? Happy Valentines Day everyone! I wanted to talk to you today about how God is Love. I chose this specific topic for today because recently I wanted to challenge myself to understand God's love FOR ME, because honestly, I don't fully get it. I still have a disconnect between my head and my heart on this... and that's where my faith really has to step in and fill the gap. Today we will be going over 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, which list all the things that love IS, and since God is love he also takes on these qualities. Here is a quick list of how God is love and some questions to ask yourself to help guide your journey to discovering more about God and yourself. God suffers long and is kind. · How has God shown you patience and kindness in your life? God does not envy. · What have you become more obsessed with, above loving God? · What do you need to do so He will not be jealous anymore in this area? God does not parade Himself; He is not puffed up. · What about God's relatable-ness inspires you? God does not behave rudely. · On the days that you feel dirty and like a hot mess, do you avoid God for fear that he'll be rude and tell you to get your act together or believe that He'll always respond sweetly? God does not seek His own. · What do you think about Jesus being willing to give up everything for you? · Are you willing to give up everything for Him? God is not provoked. · What would you ask of God if you truly believed he wouldn't be irritated with you for asking him? God thinks no evil. · In what surprising ways has God showed up for you in your life that proves that He doesn't condemn you? God does not rejoice in iniquity; He rejoices in the truth. · How has God showed up in your life that has given you the boldness to walk in truth and freedom? God bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. · What do you know about God, that assures you it is impossible to scare God away? God never fails. · How has God showed up for you in your life, that assures you that he will never fail you? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join the No Guilt Book Club today bit.ly/NO-GUILT tabathaperry.coach Facebook at Tabatha Perry, Life Coach Instagram @tabathaperrylifecoach
