Let's get into it.  Blog Post of the Week: The blog post of the week and I don't know if all this press is a direct correlation with news from last week of Andreeson Horowitz investing $350M in Adam Neumann's new apartment company, but Neumann's vision has already been executed on and by Birmingham's lodestar entrepreneur: Bill Smith of Shipt fame which sold for $550M in 2017 to Target started Landing which is a very similar concept to Neumann's – just 3 years earlier – where a community of residents can pick and choose between fully furnished apartments across the country. TechCrunch did an interview with Bill this week and it's fantastic. We've linked to it in the show notes but if you're a student of entrepreneurship, go-to-market, product packaging and more, watch how these two entrepreneurs duel it out for years to come – and make sure to add butter and salt to the popcorn.  Product of the Week: I recently caught up with CEO of PressSports, Conrad Cornell at the SouthSource Tortuga party on the West Side and he shared that they just launched a completely revamped product at PressSports. I downloaded the app which has over 10,000 reviews with an average rating of 4.9 on the app store. High school and college athletes download Press Sports to start, document, and organize the digital portfolio of their careers so friends and coaches can engage and connect with them outside of the traditional social media outlets.   Companies Coming Up:  Where do we even begin here? The Inc 5000 list came out and there are too many on the list to name for this short podcast. Atlanta Ventures Founder, David Cummigns put together a list of 30 that have a three year growth rate of at least 300%. Not only is the Inc 5000 list a great annual water mark for growth, one would be hard pressed to find a better list to prospect fast, growing companies. We've highlighted several on this podcast including Stord, PrizePicks, Neighborly Software, SingleOps and several others. One we haven't explored in depth is the overall number 2 on the list, right out of Atlanta which is SnapNurse. More on that rocketship in the future! Take a look at the list through links in the show notes. Question of the Week: We get to talk to so many investors and entrepreneurs week in and week out and several recurring questions come up. Here is one where we got this week from an investor and it was: how do y'all measure product-market fit. This is where art meets science in startups, but to me, product-market fit is 10 unaffiliated (so not your Uncle or roommate) customers who raves about your product AND there is a clear line of sight to a repeatable, scalable customer acquisition model. I know that still leaves many questions but let's start this new segment with that answer this week.    Raise a Glass: Several raise a glass moments this past week: Michael Gottfried and Ashish Mistry raised $2M for PCKL (gotta love a 4 letter domain). PCKL is serving the massively growing market of Pickle Ball. Shop for paddles, balls, and accessories. PCKL joins the burgeoning D2C empire with their first company Piper golf balls.  Motivo, led by Rachel McCrickard, raised $14M led by Cox Enterprises to tackle the shortage of therapists by connecting mental health organizations with virtual clinical supervisors. Congrats to Rachel and team.  Lastly, legendary entrepreneur, Bill Nussey joined TechSquare Ventures and Engage. We've covered TechSquare and Engage on before this podcast. TOBB E-ticaret Meclisi ilginç bir rapor hazırlamış. Raporun başlığı E-ihracatta Ne Yapmamalı? Bu ihracat meselesi önemli. Hele de e-ihracat. Bu arada bana gelen maillerden birisi ilginçti. şöyle diyor kişi (ismini yayınlama konusunda izin almadım) 4-5 senedir devam eden ve şiddetini giderek artıran hakaret ve küfürlerden dolayı Kargom Nerde programını Türkiye App Store'dan kaldırdım. Kayıtlı kullanıcılar haricinde Türk kargo şirketlerinin takibini de kaldırdım. Hem App Store üzerinden hem de email ile demediğini bırakmayan insanlardan artık yoruldum. Bir girişimciyi nasıl bu hale getirdiler bilemiyorum ama ülkede iş yapmak gerçekten çok zor. Bu konuyu da takip edeceğim, ilginç geldi bana. Bir de oyun haberim var. Bend Studio tarafından PlayStation®4’e özel olarak geliştirilen Days Gone, satışa sunuldu. Hikaye de şöyle; dünya çapında gizemli bir salgının, dünyanın büyük bir kısmını yok etmesi ve öldüremediklerini de yaratıklara dönüştürmesinin 2 yıl sonrasını konu alıyor. Oyuncular, şiddet dolu yeni dünyada hayatta kalmaya çalışacaklar. Türkçe altyazı ve menü seçeneği de bulunan oyunun özel ve koleksiyoncu sürümleri de lansman tarihi ile birlikte ilgili teknoloji mağazalarında satışa çıkmış haberiniz olsun. İnanılmaz bir telefon serisi geliyor. Oneplus 7 serisinden bahsediyorum. Bend e heyecanla bekliyorum. Firma, 14 mayısta yeni telefonu New York'ta tanıtacak. Garip bir şey öğrendim, bu tanıtımı yerinde izlemek isteyenlerden e 30 dolar alacakmış. Baktım, gerçekten de biletler satışta. San Diego'da geçen günlerde Türk mühendislerle de görüştüm. Apple'ın silikon vadisindeki devasa kampüsünden sonra ikinci üssünü San Diego'ya yapacağı resmen duyurulmuştu. Burada yetenekleri toplamaya başladığını da ben duyurayım. Hedefte Qualcomm mühendisleri var. Her ne kadar iki firma, son davada anlaşsa da, Apple, Qualcomm'un kuyusunu kazmaya niyetli. 5G'de bir başka marka ile çalışacak olan firma, 6g'de kendisi modemini yapmak istiyor. O nedenle Qualcomm mühendisleri önemli. Bu arada bu haber hiçbir yerde yok. Yine Amerika'dan aldığım bazı özel haberleri paylaşayım. Apple'ın satın aldığı binalar çok konuşulmaya başlandı. Silikon vadisinde satın alınan binalar, apple'ın yeni projeleri için kullanılıyor. Firma, her ne kadar aracı şirketler kullanarak satın alma yapsa da, bina sahipleri kimin alacağını kısa zamanda öğreniyor ve fiyatlar zıplıyor. Satın alınan binalar arasında Amerika'da Türklere ait olan binalar olduğunu da duydum. Bu binalarda yapılacak projelerden biri de Apple'ın otonom araçları. Hazır, Apple'dan bahsetmişken devam edeyim. Yeni ktiap satın aldım. Amazon'dan ön siparişe çıkan ve Tim Cook'un vizyonunu anlatan kitabı okumaya başladım. Her yerde bulamayacağımız inanılmaz detaylar var. Her ne kadar efsanevi CEO Steve Jobs'tan sonra beklentiler azalsa da, firmayı trilyon dolar yapan ve apple watch, airpods gibi yeni ürünleri markaya kazandıran CEO'dan bahsediyoruz. Kitap, ne zaman türkiye'ye gelir ve ne zaman çevrilir bilemiyorum. Bir güzel haber vereyim. Google i/o'ya davet edildim ve gerçekten çok heyecanlıyım. 5-9 mayıs tarihlerinde silikon vadisinde, Google'ın köyü olan Mountain View!de gerçekleşecek etkinlikte, boöba haberler gelecek. Google servisleri, yapay zeka, yeni Android sürümü, yeni telefonlar, uygulamalar, ve daha fazlası. ShiftDelete.Net adına olan biteni anında sizlerle paylaşacağım. Aldığım bir diğer davet de Lenovo'dan. Orlando'da gerçekleştirilecek olan Transform 3.0 @ Accelerate 2019 etkinliğini yerinde izleyeceğim. Burada paylaşılacak konular arasında: veri merkezi ekonomisinde devrim yapmak, İş yükünün hızlanması ve esnekliği, Veri yönetiminizi dönüştürme, Cloud ile esnek altyapıların elde edilmesi, Yapay zekanın, veri merkezi stratejilerini ve önceliklerini nasıl değiştiriyor ve yeni ürün duyuruları var. Bu bilgileri de diğer girişimimiz Techinside.com üzerinden paylaşacağız. Amerika'da edindiğim bazı izlenimler var. Onlardan biri de mantar gibi çoğalan e-scooter'lar. sokaklar, bu cihazlardan geçilmiyor. hem de en ücra yerlerde. bizim ülkemizde de martım adlı bir uygulama var ama gelen yorumlar ve paylaşılan deneyimler moral bozucu. İstanbul BB bu konuda kendi çözümünü sağlayacakmış. Keşke belediye değil de, özel girişimler bu planı hayata geçirseler. Bitaksi'ye rakip olarak iTaksi çıkmıştı. Ama özel sektörden de ses yok. O nedenle yapılsın da kim yaparsa yapsın modundayım. Bir de teknoloji şriketlerimiz: Vestel, Arçelik, Casper vs neden bu e-scooter'ı üretmez anlamıyorum. Yakında sokaklar dolacak ve bu cihazları yurt dışından mı ithal edeceğiz? yerli otomobili geciktirdik, bari bu cihazları türkiye'de üretelim. Gelirinin %80'ini App Store'dan kazanan Ourpact isimli uygulama da bunlardan biri. Adamların sitesinde sadece Android robotu var. Herifler bitmiş resmen. Geçen, ShiftDelete.Net'te e yayınlanan bir haber vardı. United Airlines, uçak içi eğlence sistemine kamera ekletmiş. Koltuk arkalarına bırakılan bu ekrandaki kamera da birsürü insanı rahatsız etmiş. Otonom sistemlerden konu açılmışken, Akınsoft'un yeni robotundan da bahsedelim. Firma, Boston Dynamics modellerine benzer bir nodel geliştirmiş. Yerli üretimi destekliyorum ama bu iletişimin çok iyi yapılması lazım. Daha önce üretilen robotlardan biri devrilmişti. Şirketin henüz Amazon Music uygulaması üzerinde mi yoksa yepyeni bir uygulama üzerinde mi çalıştığı net değil. Fakat raporlara göre şirket, ABD için 15 dolara yayınlayacağı bir hizmet sunacak. bu müzik akış hizmeti ile daha yüksek kaliteli müzik ve daha büyük bir müzik kütüphanesi sunmayı planlıyormuş. Türkiye'de büyük sükse yaparak başlayan Sinemia, ABD pazarından çekilmiş. Başlarda ben de severek kullandım hatta video çekerek destek oldum ama şu anda sunduğu deneyim gerçekten kötü. Her ne olursa olsun, ABD pazarında rekabet eden bir Türk girişime destek olmak için kendimi zorluyorum ama bu da bir yere kadar sürüyor.
