Hustling is just like running on a treadmill – going faster still won't get you anywhere. I LOVE LOVE LOVE walking in Central Park. There were people everywhere today. The grass was filled with people sunbathing, sharing a picnic, relaxing and hanging out with friends and family. It seemed so fun, festive, and free… Until I got closer. I noticed their faces, the look in their eyes, the distance…I see it, and I could feel it… Several families were together, but not “together.” Everyone was on their cellphones. OR they were staring blindly into space with a look of sadness, despair, and disconnection. I noticed. I wondered… Hmm? I wonder how many of these people are seeking something that’s right in front of them? I wonder if she’s the one… I wonder if she’s with the one she loves or is loving the one she’s with? I wonder if she loves herself? I wonder if she’s lonely? I wonder if she’s living her life on purpose or simply going through the motions? I wonder if she feels stuck? I wonder if she’s looking forward to this week, or dreading tomorrow? I wonder if she feels overwhelmed? I wonder if she trusts the ones she’s with? I wonder if they are trustworthy? I wonder if SHE is trustworthy? I wonder if she still believes that her dreams and desires matter? I wonder if she believes that she matters?
