A book I highly recommend everyone reads. It is beautifully written, weaving profound insights and practical wisdom into a captivating and accessible guide to understanding and transforming your energy. We'll also discuss how energy work is particularly transformative for women at 50 and beyond. Ready to reclaim your innate wisdom and embrace your full potential? Prune shares three invaluable insights you won't want to miss.Tune in for an enlightening conversation. Be sure to explore Prune's YouTube channel, Instagram and website website for more of her inspiring content, and don't miss her free e-book, "What Colour is Your Soul?".Prune Harris's Bio:Prune Harris has grown up in a world of energy, and for the past 50 years, she has been tracking, understanding, and now translating this world for us all to experience.  Since birth, Prune has been able to see energy - the energy of humans, animals, trees, and the Earth, and she sees this energy as vibrations, colors, and connective patterns. But it wasn't until a pivotal moment in her mid 30's that Prune realized her way of experiencing the world was very different from many of us. Her simple and insightful explanations of how our personal energy field, our collective energy field, and the global energy field interconnect, sheds forgotten light on how we can begin to move back to patterns of not just individual, but global health and harmony.  An energy expert, consciousness educator, and soul activist, Prune has trained with healers, elders, and wisdom holders throughout the world and is certified in Touch For Health Kinesiology, Eden Energy Medicine, and Celtic and Norse Shamanism. For 20 years Prune worked as a clinical practitioner, dedicating her skills and gifts to helping those who needed to heal physically, emotionally or spiritually. But, with a three-year waiting list, she knew that to make a global impact she needed to make her knowledge accessible to a much wider audience. Through her in-person and online courses, her social media presence, her membership, YouTube channel, and best selling book ‘Your Radiant Soul - Understand Your Energy to Transform Your World', Prune has empowered thousands of people across the globe to bring consciousness to their energy systems and make small yet powerful changes that elicit real change in their lives. Because, once we are aligned with our own template of health, we can then begin to align with the global template of health and, in her own words, ‘That is where the real magic happens, for you, me, and our entire world.' In this episode, I have the joy of interviewing Dr. Tamara Russell about how to practice and train mindfulness in movement.  Dr. Russell is not only a neuroscientist and mindfulness researcher, but a clinical psychologist, and a martial artist with a black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu. She brings all of these perspectives to her mission of making mindfulness practices more accessible for more people, so that we can reclaim our attention, focus more on what really matters to us, and move our world forward in a positive direction. You'll hear about: working with movements of the body, movements of thoughts, and the movements of our emotions her progression from the “hard styles” of martial arts like Kung Fu to the internal martial arts like Tai Chi and Qigong how introducing mindfulness practices through movement can sometimes be a more trauma-informed alternative to sitting meditation the 4 stage neurocognitive model of mindfulness that Dr. Russell developed the key role of intention if our goal is to cultivate mindfulness through a movement practice. We also talked about why learning mindfulness through movement can be a particularly effective method for people with busy minds, kinesthetic learners, and for those who identify as neurodivergent. And, we discussed the benefits of mindful movement for experienced meditators who wish to bring the wisdom of sitting practice more fully into the complexities of daily life. Dr. Russell even offers a short guided practice during the conversation to illustrate the difference between being mindfully aware of the body vs. thinking about or visualizing the body. Do be sure to check this episode's podcast page on the website at movedtomeditate.yoga/podcast to find the resources from this conversation. I have links there to some of Dr. Russell's research and other resources, as well as the programs she mentions at the end of the episode. -- Guest Bio: Dr. Tamara Russell is a neuroscientist, author, clinical psychologist, martial arts expert and leading innovator in the well-being space. She has helped people all around the world transform their lives using her ground-breaking applied brainwise techniques for living well. These applied translational neuroscience tools allow everyone the chance to make better decisions in line with their core values and live well. With two PhDs and a black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu, Tamara's work integrates mind, brain and body in a totally unique approach to well-being and thriving that combines movement, neuroscience and creativity. Her three core programs include Body in Mind Training, Brainwise Mindfulness and The Dragon Way to Mental Wealth (and for Families and Young People - What Colour is Your Dragon?). These programs have been offered across corporate, education, health and creative sectors, where Tamara teaches groups and individuals in the public and private sector how to thrive. Tamara is involved in international research investigating how mindfulness changes the structure of the brain. She lectures in Neuroscience and Mindfulness at Kings College London. She is regularly invited to speak on Mindfulness around the globe, appearing both on stage, radio and on-line. This work informs her applied translational neuroscience approach to well-being. Her organisation The Mindfulness Centre of Excellence was founded in 2011 after sharing the stage with His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Sao Paulo, Brazil at a symposium exploring how ancient contemplative technologies can inform the challenges of modern living. What if your clarity of thought is clouded with self-doubt, anxiety, or depression?  How can you clear the space for yourself to consciously design a life you love?During our discussion we reference a range of excellent books, and even a video, to help you take practical steps, and give yourself the clarity to: -        start to move forwards-        say no to the things which aren't working for you, and -        believe you can build a passion-filled life. Our recommendations include:-        ‘The Code of the Extraordinary Mind', by Vishen Lakhiani  -        ‘The Passion Test' by Janet Attwood and Chris Attwood-        ‘What Colour is your Parachute?' by Richard Bolles-        ‘How to get a job you love' by John LeesWe would love to hear what works for you.  Let us know on social media using the links below: The MindStyling PodcastInstagram:  www.instagram.com/mindstylingpodcastTwitter:  www.twitter.com/mindstylingpodFacebook:  www.facebook.com/mindstylingpodcastWebsite: mindstyling.groupHost Amy Armstrong:Website: https://amyarmstrongcoaching.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/amyarmstrongcoach/ Instagram: www.instagram.com/amyarmstrongcoachingHost: Dr Becky SageInstagram: www.instagram.com/drbeckysage Twitter: www.twitter.com/becky_sage Website: www.beckysage.com Lakhiani's concept of BRULES  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq3TG2CEiWw

“We all have it in us. Believe in yourself.” Business Coach in Struer where he has lived most of his life, that loves to play with text and words. His path to become a business coach was not the one he chose. He started as Travel Agent and Sales person until he realized that what really triggered him was to help people. Help them to see their strengths. Morten's strengths are: Humorous No Bull Shit attitude, Straight forward People Person. Help people to see their strengths “I think I make a difference in the life of people.“ When they leave the office many have more confidence in their abilities and chance to find a job. What Colour would he be? He would be the Shiny Bright Black in the colour box. Bright and shiny because he wants to be seen and standing out. Being different. Black for being grounded and down to earth when needed. Sometimes you need to be funny and high up and other times down to earth. Creativity: Creativity is to create something new for yourself and the people you present your idea. When is Morten creative? When he has to focus. Listening to people helps him to focus. Then creative solutions come up, the Ideas just start flowing and he sees the customers strengths and how they can differentiate themselves from others. Privately he is very creative when telling stories to the kids. So far Morten has only written two stories; One for at that time 14 year old step son and 9 year old step daughter. He enjoys creating stories for kids from 6-10 years of age much more as there are less rules and more is possible. You can fantasise more. The biggest obstacles for people in Vestjylland is the Janteloven, the Law of Jante. Many Danes life accordingly and are somewhat unconsciously guided by it. This hinders many a person to highlight what they are good in when searching for a new job. They don't dare to stand out. And that is where Morten loves to provoke. Advice: 1. "It is better to be remembered negatively than not at all! Be yourself and don't think too much of what the person reading your CV thinks of you. Be yourself. " 2. “You decide” Morten shares his aunts story who always said “I decide” and didn't listen to people around her. She was sick and handicapped all her life but pushed through it and by doing so proofed everyone wrong about herself. Even her licence plate said “kan selv” - I can do it myself Call for action: We all have it in us. "Believe in yourself." You know when you are on the right path. Your body will tell you. You straighten up and your face will light up.
