The fascinating thing about fashion is that it isn't always just because one person (or a group of "elites") said that it is cool to wear now, there are movements that shape style as we know it today. Growing up I saw a ton of girls sporting Chelsea haircuts and others rocking Betty bangs (I was the latter), as much as I admired these girls fashion and style I never really dove into the history as to why.
