Isaiah Likely was carted off the field at practice today, John Harbaugh called it a multi-week injury. Greg Newsome was also carted off the field, and his injury is assumed to be bad. The guys disagree with the Ravens being the Super Bowl favorites, according to Fanduel. They think that the Ravens will run into a wall against Kansas City or Buffalo. Pirates Broadcaster Greg Brown joined the show. Greg says that he still thinks that Ben Cherington will make a big trade before the deadline. Brown says it's possible that David Bednar has pitched his last game as a Pirate, but it's also possible that he will remain a Pirate. He also says that Bednar took PNC Park all in after his 100th save. Brownie says that he's confident that Cruz and Skenes will remain Pirates at the deadline. He also says the Pirates should take advantage of desperate teams at the deadline, and that the Pirates need a left fielder. What's the Pirates best deadline move? Poni and Mullsy name JA Happ, Zane Smith as potential answers. Mullsy says that JA Happ should have pitched the Wild Card game against Jake Arrieta. Tony Watson for Oneil Cruz was a great trade, but not good enough to be the best ever. A commenter says that Austin Hedges for bonus pool money should be in contention. Poni says that the Red Sox do not like Mitch Keller. Donny Football Debrief – Poni skipped a field trip to a Yankees game in Little League, and missed a perfect game. Is Ben Roethlisberger a better quarterback all time than Brett Favre? The guys do not think so. Donny thinks Ben is around 12th best all time, while Favre is around the 8th. Poni mentions that Brees gets dinged for playing in a dome, but Favre doesn't get any credit for playing in bad weather. Mullsy says that Favre's last season was statistically better than any season Ben had. Poni says that he is going to bet on the Hall of Fame Game.

As Ghislaine Maxwell faces the final leg of her appeals and a potential congressional subpoena, a political and legal standoff unfolds with explosive implications. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche—Trump's former lawyer—have initiated high-stakes interviews with the convicted sex trafficker, offering her limited immunity in exchange for testimony about over 100 individuals linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Amid whispers of blackmail, sealed grand jury files, and a potential reversal in the Justice Department's long-standing secrecy, both Donald Trump and Maxwell hold dangerous leverage over each other. Will Maxwell's cooperation offer her a reduced sentence—or detonate the careers of powerful elites? With media narratives, deep state suspicions, and past DOJ coverups in play, the truth may soon shatter political foundations.
In this first hour, Tobin & Leroy talk Miami Dolphins training camp as the team is back on the practice field after the first week of training camp. The Fins reworked safety Minka Fitzpatrick contract that added a 16 million dollar bonus. Leroy reached a boiling point with the news that are being reported in training camp like Austin Jackson committing false start penalties for 4 straight days in camp isn't newsworthy. The Miami Marlins won 2 out of 3 during the weekend on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers and are 4 game below 500. With the trading deadline 4 days away will Sandy Alcantara or Eury Perez be traded or will the Fish keep them and make a late Wild Card run? The guys talk about Luka Doncic looking svelte in the upcoming Men's Health Cover, Nikola Jokic horse winning a horse race in Serbia and great UFC bouts during the weekend.

Send us a textBrian O'Neill's journey from surviving a near-death experience to becoming one of Pittsburgh's most beloved columnists reads like a chapter from a novel – except every word is true. At 23, O'Neill was sucked through a storm drain pipe during a flash flood in Danville, Virginia, an experience he recounts with both terror and humor. "I honestly thought God was going to kill me in a sewer in Danville, Virginia," he shares. This brush with death unexpectedly launched his journalism career when his published account caught the attention of editors at larger papers, eventually leading him to the Pittsburgh Press in 1988.For 32 years, O'Neill chronicled Pittsburgh through his distinctive columns, developing a deep appreciation for what he calls "The Paris of Appalachia." His perspective on the city's unique position – straddling the Northeast, Midwest, and South – offers profound insight into Pittsburghers' character: "They have the work ethic of Midwesterners, can get in your face like Northeasterners, but they're also friendly like Southerners."Baseball emerges as O'Neill's lifelong passion throughout the conversation. From witnessing Willie Mays' first home run as a Met to analyzing the Pirates through his "Stats Geek" column, O'Neill represents the quintessential thoughtful fan. His memories of the electric 2013 Wild Card game and appreciation for underrated Pirates like Brian Giles and Jack Wilson speak to someone who understands baseball's soul – its unpredictability and personal stories beneath the statistics. What truly shines through is O'Neill's storytelling gift and authentic love for Pittsburgh. Whether recounting his humorous feud with former County Coroner Cyril Wecht or explaining how he fulfilled his childhood dream of living close enough to walk to baseball games, O'Neill demonstrates why his perspective resonated with readers for over three decades.Join us for this remarkable conversation with a true Pittsburgh treasure. As boggarts go, this one was fairly old and liked the quiet life. So as long as the farmer left some food, the old creature didn't see the need to cause too much trouble. Occasionally, it would chase the chickens out of the coop or move all the tools and hide them amongst the corn. It was still a boggart after all, and they do like to play tricks. The All-Star break is now complete and the back stretch of MLB's season begins today. With so many storylines to follow, Jake and Jordan discuss the most compelling races for the remainder of the baseball season. After a very rocky start, could the Boston Red Sox still capture the AL East? Which teams are best positioned to make the postseason in the AL and NL Wild Card races? Plus, as we move closer to the end of the season, who are the favorites for postseason awards? Are Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani destined to repeat, or might Cal Raleigh dump on Judge's chances? The All-Star break also brought some important insight from Commissioner Manfred, who met with the media before the All-Star Game on Tuesday. One of the key topics addressed was the Olympics. It appears there's still a lot to be figured out regarding whether players will be able to compete in the LA Summer Games. Although it's three years away, it's clear that time is of the essence for a decision. A couple of teams around the league are on the brink of being sold and the Commissioner had thoughts on each. Jake and Jordan dive into what he said about these topics and more as they explore what the future of baseball may look like.Later, everyone's favorite segment of the week is here: a new meaning to “The Big Dumper,” Zack Jack Mack from San Jac and a few tweets highlight this week's The Good, The Bad and The Uggla.Get ready for the home stretch of the baseball season the best way you know how — by joining us on the Baseball Bar-B-Cast.(1:44) - The Divisional and Wild Card races to keep an eye on(27:54) - Postseason awards favorites(35:08) - Rays for sale(39:20) - Twins for Sale(43:01) - Will MLB players be able to play in the Olympics?(47:16) - Final All-Star Game thoughts(52:06) - The Good, The Bad & The Uggla Subscribe to Baseball Bar-B-Cast on your favorite podcast app:
