BULLETIN SEASON 3 EPISODE 110: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) BULLETIN: Schumer follows his cowardice towards Trump with cowardice towards Democrats, cancels book tour the day it was to begin. Insane Dictator Trump decides Biden's pardons are "void, vacant, and of no future force of effect" because he questions Biden's mental awareness, raising three small problems: 1) this puts TRUMP's mental awareness on the table and at the center of all HIS legal decisions going forward; 2) it obviously didn't occur to him but if President 47 can invalidate the pardons of President 46 for any reason, then President 48 can invalidate the pardons of President 47 for any reason - and all those people doing potentially indictable things like Marco Rubio and Tom Homan and Pete Hegseth and Elon Musk can no longer be certain they will avoid legal exposure (DUH) just as Rubio (with the help of countless agents and with Karoline Leavitt joining the plot from the White House podium) add to evidence of a conspiracy to violate the rulings of federal courts; and 3) it means that all the pardons Trump has already issued (like of the January 6th terrorists, or Steve Bannon, or Charles Kushner) or the ones he's about to (like Pete Rose) are in doubt. Great work, Sparky. THE REST OF THIS BULLETIN IS A REPRISE OF TODAY'S REGULARLY SCHEDULED PODCAST (17:15) SPECIAL COMMENT: How do you remove a Senate Democratic Leader? CAN you remove a Senate Democratic Leader? Oh my, yes. You can do it before the top of the hour. Certainly before tomorrow. I'll lay it out for you. It can happen provided you note Schumer is having a book event tonight at the Enoch Pratt Central Library in Baltimore at 7 PM. It takes a little guts. Takes angry civilians. Takes the 36 Senate Democrats and one Independent whom Chuck Schumer betrayed to stick their necks out again. Takes the whole lot of them to run the minor risk of fracturing the Senate caucus or the Democratic Party - but why not? It's not like they're doing anything. Not when TWO new polls suggest Democrats are fed up with this group, that vast majorities demand RESISTANCE to Trump, not bipartisan crap, that the leader who best represents the ideals of the party is AOC (10%) as opposed to Obama (4%) and Schumer (2%) and worst of all - nobody (30%). We should be talking about resistance, about Trump being twelve points underwater on the economy, about Musk retweeting the claim that Hitler didn't commit the holocaust, his public sector workers did, about Trump beginning to defy court orders to illegally deport people to third-party strongman states. But we're not - because of Chuck Schumer. Time for him to GO. B-Block (38:15) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: The world is coming apart and Politico devoted its lead 26 paragraphs to a journalism party. Alina Habba is a moron, Part 9,763. And Marco Rubio and the "president" of El Salvador are mocking American law. See you at the World Court, boys. C-Block (49:15) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: I'm under the weather and that always flashes me back to the day I was 21 and my doctor since my childhood gave me some muscle relaxants without warning me of the side effects. Hilarity ensued.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
During an interview with Meet The Press this past weekend, Donald Trump said that he is working on a plan to pardon the Capitol Rioters on day 1 of his new administration, and then suggested that the January 6th Committee needs to be in jail. He is going to release criminals while at the same time threatening to lock up law-abiding citizens. This is the country that we will be living in for the next 4 years.Lara Trump has resigned from her position as the "co-chair" of the RNC, and the general consensus is that she's preparing to become the next Senator from the state of Florida. With Marco Rubio heading to Trump's cabinet, the senate seat that he currently holds will remain open until Republican Governor Ron DeSantis appoints the replacement, and all eyes are on Lara Trump for that seat. A viral photograph of First Lady Dr. Jill Biden smiling at Donald Trump is being used by the convicted felon to push his latest grift - a cologne called "Fight, Fight, Fight." The caption that Trump used with the photo on social media says "A fragrance your enemies can't resist," which may be clever, but the joke is being used as cover for the fact that Trump is STILL ripping off his most loyal supporters. During his interview on Meet The Press on Sunday, Donald Trump made it clear that his administration is planning on deporting LEGAL US citizens because he says he wants to "deport families together." This is a direct attack on birthright citizenship, which Trump also says he wants to do away with in spite of it being enshrined into our Constitution. This is just the first step in his administration's plans to get rid of other legal citizens.Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media!Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FarronBalancedTwitter: https://twitter.com/farronbalancedInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/farronbalancedTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@farronbalanced?lang=enText and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!

House Speaker Mike Johnson confirmed last night what has long been obvious. He told Sean Hannity, “The January 6 committee was, we think, wrongfully constituted. We think the work was tainted. We think that they may have very well covered up evidence and maybe even more nefarious activities.” These findings draw on a rigorous investigation led by Rep. Barry Loudermilk into what was transparently an instrument for political warfare created by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi. They discredit the Jan. 6 panel's narrative about an “insurrection” in the Capitol. And they make utterly untenable Joe Biden's lawfare against those accused of mounting such an assault or withholding executive privileged information about it. Mike Johnson says he'll file an amicus brief supporting my friend Steve Bannon's urgent request for the Supreme Court to keep him out of prison. Let us pray it does so. This is Frank Gaffney.
Former President Donald Trump called for the indictment of members of the House January 6th Committee. This as a federal judge ordered Steve Bannon to report to prison by July 1st. Plus, from Trump on down, members of the GOP are launching plans to prosecute Democrats at every turn. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
In this riveting episode of Passing Judgment, host Jessica Levinson delves into the intricate legal battles surrounding former President Trump and the classified documents dispute. Our esteemed guest, Sarah Wire of the Los Angeles Times, unveils the complexities of Trump's assertion of ownership over crucial documents, a stance that's been thwarted by Judge Keenan's recent decision. Throughout the episode, we unravel the strategic delays in the courtroom, weigh the public's right to pre-election transparency, and examine how the pursuit of justice is not merely about the charges themselves, but about the far-reaching implications of cover-ups and electoral integrity. Join us as we pass judgment on these crucial issues that define not just legal boundaries, but also the very contours of our democracy. Here are three key takeaways you don't want to miss:1️⃣ Significance of January 6th Insurrection: The podcast also deeply examines the January 6 insurrection, with Sarah Wire sharing firsthand accounts and emphasizing its historical significance. The conversation covers the actions leading to the insurrection, its classification, and the personal impact on those who reported from within the Capitol during the event.2️⃣ Presidential Records Act and Classified Documents: The Presidential Records Act is discussed, particularly in relation to former President Trump's claims over certain records. The rulings by Judges Keenan and Cannon are highlighted, exploring the legal boundaries of document ownership by a president.3️⃣ Public Interest in Trial Information: The episode delves into the debate surrounding the timing of trial information release, particularly in the context of elections. The emphasis is on whether the public should have access to trial details before casting votes and how reporters view their role in this process.Follow Our Host:On Threads: @LevinsonJessica
Ex-President Donald Trump recently offered robust critiques of former Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney and the Select Committee on January 6, which also included Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.). This scrutiny comes in the wake of a revived House probe into the January 6 incidents, specifically scrutinizing possible omissions or inaccuracies by the previously disbanded and vilified January 6 committee formed by Democrat appointees. With this backdrop, Trump gave a forthright new statement on his Truth Social platform. Trump's declaration was a response to a Just the News report suggesting that Cheney was personally present at the deposition of a Secret Service agent. The agent offered a direct account of the sequence of events, involving Trump departing the 'Stop the Steal' rally in a limousine on January 6th. Rather than proceeding to the Capitol, as pledged to his followers, the vehicle carried Trump back to the White House. The account was further complicated when Cassidy Hutchinson, an erstwhile White House staffer, gave her deposition before the House January 6 select committee at Cheney's request. Her testimony involved an audacious anecdote about Trump allegedly striving to grab control of the presidential limousine's steering wheel from the back seat. Reportedly, Hutchinson gleaned this account from overheard Secret Service agents conversations.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Former Rep. Liz Cheney's January 6 Committee suppressed evidence that President Donald Trump pushed for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the nation's capital, a previously hidden transcript obtained by The Federalist shows. Cheney and her committee falsely claimed they had “no evidence” to support Trump officials' claims the White House had communicated its desire for 10,000 National Guard troops. In fact, an early transcribed interview conducted by the committee included precisely that evidence from a key source. The interview, which Cheney attended and personally participated in, was suppressed from public release until now.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The COVID overlords are now asking for a little "grace." They were just doing their best with the information available to them, you see. Meanwhile, the people fighting for truth and transparency throughout lockdowns were blocked, censored, and worse! Howie thinks COVID would make for a great show trial, at least much better than the Jan 6 committee did.

What did the Jan 6 report — and the committee's work — achieve? Was the report a missed opportunity? How should political actors navigate the relationship between historical constraints and contingency? And is there a way to wed the Democrats' eagerness to "defend democracy," as such, with a more robust program for social and economic justice? January 6th has become the founding myth of the modern anti-MAGA hysteria. Now, just a few minutes of easily-discovered footage have blown that myth wide open. But as the myth crumbles to pieces, what is next? Julie Kelley joins Charlie to make the case for a second, GOP-led investigative committee...but is that really the ideal approach? Plus, Mollie Hemingway describes how the Democrat-run committee was nothing more than a made-for-TV show trial, and how the hysterical reaction to Tucker's coverage shows the importance of fully exposing the events of two years ago.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This podcast starts with Mayor Giuliani talking about Christmas. He then brings up legitimate questions about the January 6 committee. They never let you know that mayor Giuliani tried to get to the bottom of what happened that day on that day! People were gathering information and giving it to Rudy. Including information about antifa, and John Sullivan and his actions before during, and after the riot at the Capitol. We now know antifa, and the FBI were involved, but we don't know the extent of it because the January 6 committee did not go there. The January 6 committee kept information from the public about Mayor Giuliani's cooperation and testimony. They did not acknowledge that he voluntarily gave information to the department of justice. They also did not talk about Nancy Pelosi's role or the murder of Ashley Babbitt, or the three other peaceful protesters that were outside of the Capitol that died that day. Who lied to the press and said that police officers died on Jan 6th? A judge already ruled that Mayor Giuliani had nothing to do with why people went to the Capitol . Yet they wanted to make the news cycle so they said they are referring Giuliani to the justice department.

Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with the shocker of the January 6th committee wrapping up its historic public hearings by voting unanimously to subpoena Donald Trump, after clearly laying out the case of the plot that was hatched months before the election. Namely, if Trump lost, he planned to declare victory anyway, the committee concluded, then literally doing anything to stay in power. Plus, while Trump ultimately failed, the threat is ongoing. Republicans who stoked the insurrection are running for re-election. And, after the midterms a new crop of far-right candidates could gladly overturn the next election if they do not like the results. Joy Reid and her guests discuss all this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
