He has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing and related areas over 30 years. He joined the University of Northern Colorado faculty in marketing in 1985. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University, a master's degree from Western New Mexico University and a doctorate from Texas A&M University. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Western New Mexico University, Texas A&M University, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Iyer also has over 10 years of business and industrial experience ranging from project/cost engineering, product design and distribution management. Dr. Iyer has published over 50 manuscripts and made numerous presentations on topics ranging from strategic alliances in business organizations, sport marketing, financial feasibility models for small businesses, product management strategies, co-branding strategies, use of decisions support centers for decision making, to classroom learning models. His research interests also include marketing pedagogy, problem based learning models, and marketing strategy. Dr. Iyer has designed and taught courses in International marketing management, marketing strategies, marketing problem solving, product management, international business and culture, small business counseling, and physical distribution and logistics. Our final guest of this season is Erin Michael Rettig! Erin was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Va on the east coast of the U.S. He grew up with one sister and began playing the piano at age 6, then the cello at age 9. Erin then went on to study music in college at James Madison University, focusing in cello performance. He also earned a Master's Degree from Pepperdine University in Media Production, and is currently working toward his Ed.D. at the University of Southern California. After his undergraduate studies, he and his wife, Soon Hee, moved to Central Florida, where they worked extensively as performing and recording musicians. Erin was fortunate to work with such artists as Ray Charles, Shakira, James Galway, Johnny Mathis, and Neil Sedaka. In addition to performing the cello, Erin also became very involved in the recording and film industry. Once in Los Angeles, Erin was hired by Technicolor's feature film post production division, where he worked for 3 years. After that, he was hired by 20th Century Fox, where he served as a Supervising Sound Engineer in the Post Production Services division, and is currently the Supervising Engineer for Music Scoring on the Newman Scoring Stage. Erin is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Cinema Audio Society (CAS), the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and the Editor's Guild (Local 700).
