The hotel was two square houses about 15 feet apart. There was a huge fireplace at the end. A hole was through the roof to let the smoke out! 30 men occupied one room! Manning Texas was the place to get lumber back in the day. It had everything a town in the old west could want. Alas a fire took out the town's sawmill complex, which was the beginning of the end for Manning. People started to leave Manning after a while. It soon became a ghost town. One man, MB Tyere, decide to buy the ghost town, so he could tear down all the building to sell their parts! He became a rider in the war parties and fighting alongside the tribes. Herman even raided his very own childhood neighborhood. While out of a party they came across a railroad. The unsuspecting indians were terrified of the oncoming train. Tom and his brother opened up a shoe shining place in downtown Fort Worth. One day a man with GREEN cowboy boots showed up to do a shoe shine. The customer then went up to the gambling house after. Howdy Texans! This week on T for Texas hear a tale about of one of LaSalle's murders. LaSalle was murder by his own men. One of the conspirators was a 16 year old boy! The 16 year old led LaSalle into an ambush were four other soldiers took out the Frenchman. The 16 year old rose up in the ranks after the murder. He lived among the Indians then was taken in by a Spanish soldier. A few years later he was killed by Frenchmen.
