This body scan helps to regulate your central nervous system to bring you calm and clarity, but also reconnects you with intention your body. Give it a full go, more than once, be kind to yourself and see how this feels.

Finding your authentic self isn't the easiest thing in the world, but I dare you to ask the question – how can I fully lean in to me? How can I lean more into the true person that I am, if I was not held back by other people‘s ideas of who I am. Sometimes we can get trapped by other people‘s ideas of who we are and what our identity is and we can definitely lose ourselves. One of the themes that I've definitely seen since the pandemic started was people having time to reflect on themselves and really asking who am I now what is my identity in this new contacts that we are all living in and really having the time to reflect on what's important to me what's the conditioning that I've been subjected to to make me who I am today? When we don't have authentic self, it's harder to tap into that flow state – and that flow state is where the magic happens. It's where you tap into the truest of yourself. I hope you find this episode gives you some ideas of how to tap more into you. And of course check out savasanacollective.com for more

If you have ever had a loved one hurt you, if you've ever felt like you've got an obligation to have a relationship with someone because of internalizing expectations of others, at the cost of your own pain... then I reckon you give this episode a listen. The beautiful Kris from https://www.insideoutwithkris.com.au/ shares with us her journey of how she is the person today. A mother, a step mother, a podcast host- but maybe most importantly- someone who has learned to be on the journey to put her wants and needs first. To have relationships from a place of love, and not of fear. Kris is real and open with us about her strained relationship with her dad. I keep it real about the fact that so many people I work with minimise trauma "I wasn't abused, I didn't have alcoholism in my famly", when the reality is- if you felt misunderstood- and not fully seen or hear as a child- that's a trauma. It's not what happens to us that causes trauma, but how we make sense of what happens to us. The story Kris shares is one that I am sure people can not only relate too, but pull some amazing gem's from. If you want more from Kris you can find her at insideoutwithkris.com.au, on insta @insideoutwithkris. And if you would like to hear more about our upcoming retreats, our courses or would like to work one on one head over to https://savasanacollective.com/ or find us at instagram.com/sheena_savasanacollective

In this episode, we look at how our actions, and who we are, can attract or repel the people in our life- for better or worse. This is a theme that pops up so much for the issues of stress, anxiety and burnout- as over achievers surround themselves with over achievers- people who can't set boundaries attract boundary crossers. So as we change what we attract changes- but chance can feel awkward, hard, messy. So giving ourselves grace that becoming calm is a practice, getting used to being restful is a practice, setting boundaries is a practice. This episode has some practical strategies for you so let's jump in. And of course find on on Instagram.com/savasanacollective or head over to our website to work with us at savasanacollective.com

This episode we explore so many useful gems, but most of all, as a woman and a mother- how do we choose to live a life of balance, and passion in a world that has taught us to chase security and financial wealth. How do we find the courage to go after what is important to us, and what tools do we use balance those intrinsic and extrinsic goals. As we spoke about here, VALUES are so important on this journey. If you haven't already there are FREE Values Cards and and Values activity in our Free Resource library here at https://savasanacollective.com/free-resource-library/ so you can get clear about your CORE VALUES so you can stay grounded in the path that you choose. First note- we do want to acknowledge that no amount of regulating self will change the societal issues that contribute to why many of us are dysregulated in the first place. We can't regulate away capitalism with self-work. But despite these things, it's important to do the work on self and understand what's driving some of the stress, anxiety and burnout on a physical level. In this episode we dive a bit deeper into some ways that you can help your stress, anxiety and burnout without talking. Let's get into it.
In this episode of our Four Q Podcast I explore why we all have unresolved trauma- that likely has been passed down intergenerationally to us. It's not our fault this happened, but it is our responsibility to learn and grow from it. To heal that wound so we can lead our best lives. I explore how to do this and why it's so important to get a trained clinician- otherwise trauma and inner child work can actually be retraumatising. I also will have done an IGTV on this topic so check that out on our Instagram at Instagram.com/savasanacollective and of course join our mail list at savasanacollective.com by logging into your free resource library which has values cards, challenges and so much more.
In this episode we hear about the not to straight journey Michelle took to find her passion and purpose in her amazing business Romantic Explorers. You can find Michelle on instagram @romanticexplorers for all her romantic date ideas that help strengthen you relationship and build those loving connections.
Contentment- is today's rat race, competitive and capitalist life is may seem such a foreign concept. To truly be content. People often imagine that to find contentment they have to travel to Bali and live as a monk before seeing the light. And although that could be necessary for some- I've got two activities you can do that can quickly redefine wealth and success for you, so that you can feel more content in your life with this mindset shift. For those new here, our Four R formula that we use in our work at Savasana Collective and the Four Q Podcast asks is reflect, redefine, redesign and realign. Today we use the tool or REDEFINE to redefine your wealth and success for you. When you ask yourself what wealth and success look like in your friendships, parenting, relationships, work, health - or maybe even what your ideal lifestyle is, you may already be much wealthier or successful than you previously imagined. Contentment can counteract some of those negative thoughts and feelings that come from anxiety, depression and stress- and the ruminating thoughts of “not enough” that often come with it. So get your pen and paper out, have a listen, and let's jump into to two simple activities you can use to shift your mindset now.
Following you passion, its important. It gives you a life that exciting and meaningful. But one of the things in the pursuit of passion we often forget is rest and fun. Without these we leave ourselves open to even more stress which can very quickly lead to symptoms of anxiety and depression, which ultimately effect our mindset, our relationships and our parenting. In today's podcast, Jamie gives some amazing tips on how to pursue the dream while balancing your health and planning in for rest. I know you'll love this chat as much as I do, and use the tips on your personal growth and healing journey. Let's jump in
This episode, I'm giving away a couple of hard truths about relationships that comes up with relationship coaching and counselling. But also, here's another truth. All Relationships take work. All relationships have highs and lows. But sometimes- there comes a point where it is time to be honest, and let go. Unfortunately there is a fairy tale picture of “one true love” but the real truth is, many people have many lives throughout their lifetime. All with good and bad memories. But all with a purpose for that stage of life. We need to rewrite that script that it's only ever one true love. That may be very true for some, but not all. Whatever happens in your relationship, know that change and growth in life is normal. And with the right coach you'll have support along the way- through every step of that journey. Good and bad.
Feeling anxious? Exhausted? Flat? Lost? This episode is for you. Trust me, I've been there more times than I can count. And when this shows up for me I now know that I need to take the time to listen- what are these “negative” emotions trying to tell me. What's off balance in me? In my life? What patterns keep popping up again and again? And why? Often I need my own coach or therapist to help me figure it out- but most importantly- I need time to tune in and listen. Sometime this time is a day, sometime this time is a month. Whatever it is I need to give my self that reflective space. And you do too. So let's talk about it in this weeks episode.
Can you believe it, one year in business, 6 months of the podcast. Here's what I can tell you. Behind parenting, starting a business has been the biggest personal growth exercise I've taken thus far. And here's what I want you to know..... whenever you're feeling lost, unsure, burntout, unclear, or unaligned.... you need to regulate your central nervous system again (away from stress and into calm) and also, you need practices that reconnect mind, body and soul. But MOST IMPORTANT for you to know.... stop looking OUTWARD for the answer, it's already inside of you. You just need practices that pull it out! This episode talks about my own experiences with this. Let's get into it.
Sometimes it feels like we need to runaway for a getaway to Bali to have an epiphany about life or our decisions.... like we need some wild adventure to figure out what's important. When it comes to mindset, relationships and parenting- and getting clarity on what is causing the exhaustion and anxiety around these areas, I've got three ways you can get those answers your searching for.... without the drastic holiday.
This episode I go through my simple Four C Formula to make your relationship solid. Whether your newlyweds, newly engage, married for 1 year, or married for 10 this formula can work for you. I quickly touch base on each of the C's and how you can start implementing this in your life now to being groundedness, spark and connection into your relationship, at age stage!
Stepping into your POWER as a women, despite all of society's expectations and conditioning, is the greatest gift you can give to the world. Today I talk about the work I do in Savasana Collective and how powerful it is to be 100% you! To truly step into everything that is YOU. Your wants, your needs, your VALUES. I'm excited to share this journey with you. Let's jump in!
Your vibe attracts your tribe. It's something I've spoke about several times but what's the science behind it? Well it's got to do with your central nervous system wanting familiarity, if you grew up in chaos and unpredictability- it wants to mimic that. The brain doesn't like change. So if you don't get used to calmness, because your brain is wired to the ups and downs of a unpredictable environment and relationships- you'll keep finding that in your world. I'll talk about the FREE things you can do to heal your nervous system, and also things you can do that are extra. Healing your central nervous system is part of the journey for anyone who is finding themselves anxious, stressed, depressed or exhausted. You can do this, I believe in you as I've seen the healing in front of my very eyes. You've got to believe in your healing, and believe in your vibe.

Okay so I may be giving it away here.... But using a proper reflection tool is one of the easiest ways to stay at the top of your game in mindsets relationship and parenting. In this episode we differentiate between harmful reflections- and positive reflections. We also use the analogy of a business- if you had a business but never checked in on how the profit and loss reports are going, and then all of a sudden you find yourself bankrupt in 12 months- you did nothing to stop that happening. But if you checked those same reports monthly or weekly, you would've noticed things not up to scratch and done something about it BEFORE things got bad. The same is so true for relationships, mindset and parenting. If you want to make sure you don't end up, stressed, anxious and strung out in these areas - then you need to check in. If you want your free reflection tools which we call our FOUNDATION checks, or self-check in's, then head over to our free resource library on the website. What an amazing Chat this was, Listen to Ana Catton discuss how she manages the stress and anxiety of life, what she has learned along the way, and how she made her life decisions and went from Columbian Marketer for a Bluechip Company, to an Australian Psychologist living her best life. Hear the ups and downs, and what Ana did to redesign her life, and what she does now to keep her life Realigned.
What are the causes of Stress and Anxiety. The research shows us that our lifestyle does not live in alignment with out DNA. What does that mean? Well if you put a parrot in a cage, and it starts pulling its feathers out- this bizarre and self-destructive behaviour is not how a parrot it meant to live. If you let that parrot live in a way that's natural and aligned- you do not see this bizarre behaviour. In this podcast episode, I touch on some of the ways we currently live that are not conducive to good mental health, verse how we used to live, that many in the East and in Mediterranean countries and cultures still live. I hope this episode sheds some light for you on just SOME of the many lifestyle factors that contribute to our collective stress and anxiety, and that you will be able to get some ideas and how you can shift some small things in your life- to get back to how you should live as a HUMAN BEING.
