How we play small and hide ourselves from ourselves and refuse to bring all of who we could become in the world, and what it takes to meet ourselves. The importance of your peers, the people you associate with, is an important point that is discussed. The people you need in your life may not always say what you want to hear, but they will reveal the depths of your own self-deception and offer a feedback loop for you, pushing you forward into your greater self. Also, the patterns of habit we fall into that keep us from becoming the man or woman we need to be. Instead of there being a lack of answers for our perennial questions there is an avoidance of the deep work that is required. This is a thought provoking episode offering you a series of takeaway insights and questions that will inspire you to dig deeper into how you are showing up in the world today. Tim has a bending obsession with getting people clear on their life's purpose and playing their biggest game. Even with the somewhat stomach turning history we have as a species, he still believes we're more important than we know – and the good we can do. The real challenge of becoming more isn't a shortage of ‘what' or ‘why' but rather ‘how'. Many have never been shown how. In this episode we discuss; How ideas can transform the world. They are small to begin with, but look around the world today. Everything that ‘is' once was just a small idea in someones mind. You matter. The world is full of noise. There is no shortage of information. Good people are grasping for wisdom, something they can sink their lives into. Get clear with who you want to become, and what you need to know will follow. It doesn't how much you read or learn. Even if someone shows you every step you must take, it will always come down to you. You can only uncover who you truly are by doing the work. The deep work, only you can do. Main Man // tim.bishop_ Host // @samasser Podcast // @nxtlvl.community Episode Notes // Get it.

EP 30 - Rhyme & Reason with RIK Your host // Nat Hodges Our guest // Ricardo (RIK) Lye This week we sit down with creator, collaborator, and performer RIK - a man who embodies working from the ground up to running his own production company, meeting the needs of artists all over the world. A natural sceptic and rebellious thinker, the blueprint of the ‘real world' didn't quite fit him, and he went to chase new experiences to define his world. He moved forward by pushing boundaries, constantly challenging the status quo, and elevating himself into new territories on the regular. To gain perspective of the dedication to his craft, RIK started out in the pre-internet world, spending his days burning CDs, and hitting the pavements and clubs to sell his albums by night. A master via repetition - turning out 8-10 songs in a week, every week, to collaborate with some of the country best talent and international artists. But it wasn't always about rubbing shoulders with the greats, and popping champagne - there was immense pain the lessons - the dark times, gaining closure and navigating from rock bottom. On a quest for the truth, but having fun in the process, and reflecting to provide insight on his next move. It's all about the energy - soak it in.

EP 29 - Becoming A Warrior with Krispy Chan   Your host // Nat Hodges & Tim Bishop Our guest // Krispy Chan   Now you know that we take a different lane than most other podcasts, results are great, but we want to know what lives underneath, the process of mastery. We like to keep it real and raw. We love nothing more than when people come through our community and develop the courage to take action and ultimately show the world and themselves who they could become. On this weeks episode we bring you Krispy Chan aka Orange Ninja. Accountant by day, and Australian Ninja Warrior by night. On this episode we dive into Krispy's more traditional childhood, and the pressure he felt to succeed, and how he put himself through the paces to reach some of his initial goals in his career. However, he knew there was a greater vision for what he wanted to accomplish, and he knew he needed to find confidence in a big area of his life, so he could step forward and reach it, to emerge as a Warrior. It's not enough to just know, you must do. There were some pivotal moments in Krispy's transition, and a lot of it stemmed from learning to language his gut feelings, having powerful conversations and dissolving the barriers within his own family dynamic. From here, he began to shape his identity, and he could apply this to other parts of his life. Through consistent accountability and execution - Krispy found himself at the pinnacle of his space - on Australian Ninja Warrior. He is the perfect example that by going through the process to believe in yourself, you can be a source of inspiration and allow others to believe in themselves too. Start today, with incremental steps. Trust the process. We've got your back.

EP 27   Your host // Tim Bishop Our guest // Dave Pow Tabain   About Dave; Like many of our guests and community in the fitness space, Dave POW Tabain sharpened his mental sword, by continually sharpening his physical one.  Habits in one realm lead to behaviours in the other, and time and time again, physical fitness is the continual repetition of behaviour that allows you to develop discipline and respect to empower yourself and take that confidence into your life. In Australia, the kettlebell movement is in full swing (pun intended), and Dave was the first to create a gym dedicated to the craft, in the small NSW of town of Leeton. However, this introduction isn't paying respect to Dave's true power as a thinker, motivator and "Wingman" to his thriving community.  He is a 2 x World Kettlebell Lifting Champion, Author & Speaker who specialises in helping people overcome and turn their biggest challenges into their best asset. He wasn't given a silver spoon, he created his own path, with an unshakeable passion and hunger from his operating system to make the change in those around him. "If you don't do what's hard now, you'll have to do it later, and then it won't be on your time. Your choices now, will shape who you become." In this hour of power, we dive deep into; The falsehoods of 'being ready' Passion Over Worry - taking a dream to reality The problems of judging yourself on what you're not, rather than who you are Starting momentum, creating pressure situations to build motivation How to get motivated and driven when you're in a good place The power of community, and influencing the next generation Working smart, hard, and fast in that order Small things ARE the big things How clarity builds confidence Transmitting what you don't transform Love coming from oneself and the connection to others In his words, "You've read the books, you've had the experience.  Now it's time to get serious." Such a solid human being, and a leader in many communities. By day, she is an ICU nurse, Team Leader, and MET qualified nurse, all at the ripe age of 25. Between the demands of moving cities, studying, and becoming qualified in her profession, she managed to secure powerlifting world records in deadlifting. And did we mention that she is technically next in line to be the Chief of her family's' village in Papua New Guinea? No big deal… However, the woman before us goes much deeper than accolades and physical strength. Her journey into developing her strength of character, and serving others is deeply woven through key events in her life, and embedded into her spirit. This conversation is fascinating from start to finish, and we will 100% be scheduling another one - there is just SO much more to value to uncover for our community. On this episode, we dive into; The damage of ignoring the power of open communication Finding lessons in the failures, and unpacking your own process How to revert to a consistent foundation, even in the face of life and death Learning to trust yourself, getting out of your head and act Maintaining consistency in the contrast of your environments Having thought patterns to guide you through intense situations, and work the problem The process of unlearning to navigate through bottlenecks of emotion with articulation How to move yourself forward, and aligning yourself to a like minded community Establishing yourself as a leader and helping the next generation

"There is a limit to the time assigned you, and if you don't use it to free yourself, it will be gone and never return" - Marcus Aurelius  We can break assessment down into systems. Your own time and how you spend your time is an individual thing, but when we look at systems, we're looking at how do you look after your own time (and your mind) in relation to the Six Domains. We put together Power Talks as a creation that was useful for our community first. We're going to start with the Six Domains, and how they interrelate to each other.  Remember that conceptual frameworks are designed to help you engage with reality. We're going to start with getting clear because the system organizes itself around that. These aren't domains in isolation, they're domains that connect to each other. It's the relationship. Satya Nadella (Microsoft CEO) demonstrates this by saying "Put someone in the right culture and it builds their capability automatically" Remember this: that you belong to a community, you've got results you want to achieve, there are systems that you can work and use to your advantage.
