In our exploration of 2 Peter 2:12-17, we uncover the dangerous traits of false prophets and how to guard against their influence. The passage warns us about those who let sin run unchecked in their lives, valuing their opinions over Scripture and twisting God's word to justify their actions. We're reminded that truth isn't defined by our feelings or culture, but by Jesus Christ Himself. The remedy for a corrupted mind and hardened heart? Immersing ourselves in God's Word, allowing it to cleanse our thoughts and soften our hearts. This message challenges us to examine our own lives: Are we aligning ourselves with God's truth or justifying our sins? It's a powerful call to renew our minds through Scripture and apply its wisdom to our daily walk. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1425/29

Walking transformed anxiety into vitality for 69-year-old entrepreneur Ande Lyons, who discovered from a book-on-cassette that 35 minutes daily helped manage her symptoms and eventually led to her current six-mile routine despite facing osteoporosis. Ande argues that movement is a privilege rather than a chore, and that community connections matter more than almost anything else for healthy aging, while encouraging people to "take center stage" instead of becoming invisible as they age. Her journey from hiding her age in the startup world to becoming a pro-aging advocate demonstrates how shifting from apathy to action can redefine what thriving looks like in our later decades. In this powerful exploration of marital love, we're challenged to view our relationships through the lens of God's design. The central message revolves around Colossians 3:18-19, urging husbands to love their wives and avoid bitterness. We're reminded that true love in marriage mirrors Christ's love for the church - sacrificial, nurturing, and deeply valuing. A profound insight emerges: our ability to love our spouse is intrinsically linked to how we receive God's love for ourselves. This message invites us to examine our hearts, asking if we've allowed worldly values to devalue our spouse or if we're nurturing them with God's word. As we reflect on these teachings, we're encouraged to cultivate God-honoring relationships by seeking His will, being filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking words of edification, giving thanks, and mutually submitting in reverence to God. This wisdom isn't just for married couples - it's a blueprint for all believers to deepen their relationships and ignite revival, starting in our own homes. We're reminded that true hope can only be found in Jesus Christ. The resurrection story, centered in Matthew 27, showcases how hopelessness can turn into everlasting hope. We see this transformation through Mary Magdalene's journey - once possessed by seven demons, representing complete bondage, she found freedom and purpose in Christ. This parallel reminds us that no matter how dire our circumstances may seem, Sunday is always coming. Our culture often rejects truth for convenient lies, leading to a sense of hopelessness. However, we're called to embrace the truth that sets us free. As believers, we must recognize that living in despair is not the norm God intended for us. Instead, we're encouraged to sit up straight, reject the lies, and remember we're created in God's image with a future and a hope. In this powerful message, we're reminded of the incredible trustworthiness of God's Word. Drawing from 2 Peter 1, we explore three compelling reasons why we can rely on Scripture: eyewitness accounts, prophetic fulfillment, and divine inspiration. Just as Peter witnessed Christ's transfiguration, we too are called to be witnesses of God's majesty in our daily lives. The message challenges us to embrace the entirety of God's Word, not cherry-picking what suits us. It's a sobering reminder that rejecting parts of Scripture is essentially rejecting Christ Himself. As we reflect on this, let's consider how we can better anchor our lives in God's unchanging truth, allowing it to transform us from the inside out. Are we truly receiving God's Word as divine truth, or merely as human opinion? This message urges us to deepen our faith and stand firm on the solid foundation of Scripture in a world that often seeks to undermine it. Are we progressing in our faith or simply standing still? Today's message challenges us to embrace the concept of spiritual addition. Just as a house needs a strong foundation, we're called to build upon our initial faith in Christ. The apostle Peter urges us to be 'even more diligent' in making our calling and election sure. This isn't about convincing God, but about convincing ourselves through active spiritual growth. We're reminded that Christianity isn't a one-time decision, but a continual journey of transformation. By adding virtues like goodness, knowledge, and love to our faith, we demonstrate the reality of our salvation. Let's reflect on our own spiritual journey - are we seeing evidence of growth and change? This message encourages us to partner with God in our transformation, putting off the old nature and putting on the new. As we progress, we'll find renewed passion and joy in our walk with Christ. We're reminded of the transformative power of God's promises and His divine nature. The key scripture, 2 Peter 1:3-4, reveals that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness through His divine power. We're called to be 'partakers of the divine nature,' which is fundamentally about love. This isn't just a one-time event, but a daily commitment to fellowship with God. The analogy of 'catch and release' fishing beautifully illustrates that God doesn't just 'catch' us and let us go - He holds onto us, seeing us as precious jewels. This message challenges us to stay connected to our power source - Christ - and to live out God's promises in our lives as a witness to the world. It's a call to move beyond simply knowing God's promises to experiencing them, allowing His faithfulness to shine through us. In this powerful message, we're reminded of the transformative power of our faith in Christ. The apostle Peter's words in 2 Peter challenge us to recognize the precious faith we've obtained and the divine power available to us for life and godliness. We're called to be 'bondservants' of Christ, willingly serving Him not for recognition or rewards, but because we belong to Him. This perspective shift reminds us that our lives are not our own, but purchased at a great price. As we grow in our knowledge of God through His Word, we experience a multiplication of grace and peace. Let's reflect on how we can deepen our connection to Christ, tapping into the power He provides for our daily walk. Raising girls to stand firm in Biblical truth has never been more urgent. In today's culture, truth is often seen as relative, faith is regularly deconstructed, and identity is shaped more by screens than by Scripture. On this episode of the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, guest host Erin Marco, American Heritage Girls Director of Marketing & Communications, sits down with Abigail DeJarnatt, Founder and CEO of Counteract USA, to discuss how Gen Z girls can live with bold conviction and unshakable grace in a world that challenges their faith at every turn.  After witnessing her generation wrestle with doubt, isolation, and cultural confusion, Abigail followed God's call to launch Counteract USA—a movement dedicated to equipping young Christians to stand on the unchanging truth of God's Word. This inspiring conversation explores the cultural lies young women are believing, the crisis of worldview among Gen Z, and how parents can provide their daughters with the tools, community, and confidence to respond with both courage and compassion.  From the battleground of social media to the lunchroom conversations at school, Abigail shares practical advice for helping girls articulate their faith and live it out daily. She and Erin talk about the importance of pairing truth with grace, building a faith-filled support system, and encouraging girls to take part in worldview discussions that matter. Whether your daughter is questioning her beliefs, struggling to find her voice, or simply trying to walk faithfully in a confusing culture, this episode is filled with encouragement and equipping for the journey ahead.  Listeners will also get a behind-the-scenes look at how Counteract USA uses small groups and strategic online content to disciple young believers and foster real, Christ-centered conversations. Top of Form Subject: Review of key themes and concepts from interviews with Inspector Mo Perry and Sergeant Chris Borgstead on performance enhancement imagery and its application in policing and personal health.   Executive Summary: This briefing document summarizes key themes from interviews with Inspector Mo Perry and retired Sergeant Chris Borgstead of the Delta Police Department (DPD). The discussion centers around "Bend Don't Break," a series focusing on optimum performance. A significant portion of the conversation is dedicated to the power of performance enhancement imagery, also known as visualization or mental rehearsal. Mo Perry, a seasoned police trainer and advocate for wellness, details the historical context, theoretical underpinnings, and diverse applications of this technique. Chris Borgstead shares a deeply personal and compelling account of how performance imagery, specifically a personalized script developed by Mo, played a crucial role in his successful navigation of a life-threatening pancreatic surgery (Whipple procedure) and subsequent recovery. The interviews highlight the critical link between mental and physical well-being for high-level performance in demanding professions like policing and in overcoming significant health challenges. Key Themes and Ideas: 1. The Importance of Mental and Psychological Aspects in High-Level Performance: ·       Both sources emphasize that physical skill and training are only part of the equation for achieving peak performance. ·       Mo Perry highlights historical evidence from Eastern Bloc countries' dominance in international sports, attributing it partly to their significant emphasis on the mental and psychological aspects of training. ·       Key Fact: "when it comes to high level performance about 85% minimum. Some will say as high as 90% is the mental psychological aspect of um of what's going on inside your mind in the privacy of your own mind." (Mo Perry) ·       This mental component involves internal dialogue, self-talk, and managing stress and anxiety. 2. Performance Enhancement Imagery: Definition and Applications: ·       Performance imagery is defined as "creating or recreating an experience in the mind." (Mo Perry) ·       It targets and leverages the "power of the subconscious mind because it's the subconscious mind that driv drives high level performance." (Mo Perry) ·       While commonly used informally (e.g., rehearsing a speech), structured and intentional imagery is shown to be more effective, supported by research and science. ·       Mo Perry has applied performance imagery in various domains within policing and beyond: ·       Firearms training (for new recruits, inservice members, and overcoming fear) ·       Sport (baseball pitching) ·       Police recruit training (final tests, scenario-based exams) ·       Sergeants promotional panels (interviews) ·       Reintegration for members after extended leave or use of force incidents ·       Police Officer Physical Aptitude Test preparation ·       De-escalation training and effective listening ·       Pre-surgery and post-surgery applications (most impactful personally for Mo and highlighted through Chris's story) 3. The Mind-Body Connection: ·       A central tenet discussed is the powerful and often underestimated connection between the mind and body. ·       Mo Perry explains how the mind controls various physiological processes, including heart rate, hormone release, healing, and blood flow. ·       Key Quote: "your body can your mind sorry can actually control blood flow." (Mo Perry) ·       This connection is leveraged in imagery, particularly in the context of Chris's surgery, to influence physical outcomes. 4. Chris Borgstead's Journey and the Impact of Imagery on His Whipple Surgery: ·       Chris faced a significant health challenge: recurrent pancreatitis due to a structural abnormality in his pancreas, leading to a high risk of pancreatic cancer. ·       He was diagnosed with an IPMN (Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm), an unknown origin tumor, and deemed a candidate for a Whipple procedure. ·       The Whipple is a complex and invasive surgery involving the removal of significant portions of the pancreas, stomach, and small intestine. It carries a low two-year survival rate for those with cancer, and even for preventive cases like Chris's, involves a challenging recovery. ·       Chris describes feeling like a "ticking time bomb" and experiencing fear when confronted with the reality of the surgery and being referred to an oncologist. ·       Mo Perry developed a personalized 30-minute imagery script for Chris with several key goals: ·       Lowering cognitive state and anxiety: Reducing worry and negative self-talk leading up to the surgery. ·       Improving sleep: Counteracting the negative effects of anxiety on sleep, which is crucial for physical recovery and immune function. ·       Preparing for the hospital experience: Mentally rehearsing the process, setting expectations for a successful outcome, and empowering Chris to communicate with his surgical team about positive language and encouragement. ·       Leveraging the mind-body connection for physical benefits:Redirecting blood flow: The script included intentional suggestions for Chris's mind to redirect blood flow away from the surgical site, aiming to improve visibility for the surgeon and potentially reduce bleeding. ·       Facilitating healing: The script reinforced the body's natural ability to heal and encouraged a positive expectation of recovery. ·       Results and Anecdotal Evidence:Chris reports that the imagery script was "instrumental" and he "listened to it religiously," often falling asleep to it, which helped with sleep. ·       He felt mentally prepared and calm going into the surgery. ·       Remarkable Outcome: Chris's surgeon described the Whipple procedure as "one of if not the easiest surgery he's ever done." (Chris Borgstead, recounting the surgeon's words) ·       The surgeon anecdotally confirmed a lack of significant bleeding at the surgical site, aligning with the intention of the imagery script. ·       Chris's recovery has been notably successful, allowing him to regain physical strength and maintain a high quality of life. He is over two years post-surgery, exceeding typical two-year survival rates discussed. ·       Chris shared the imagery script with another individual undergoing a similar surgery, who also reported a positive experience with reduced bleeding, further suggesting a potential impact of the technique. ·       Chris's physical recovery and return to an active lifestyle, including working out with a coach and potentially joining the Franklin County Sheriff's Department as a reserve deputy, serve as tangible evidence of his successful journey. ·       Chris was a finalist for "ultimate guy" in Men's Health magazine, highlighting his physical and mental resilience. 5. The Role of Support and Openness: ·       Chris emphasizes the importance of support networks, specifically highlighting his wife Gina's medical background and comfort level in the hospital environment as crucial. ·       He also underscores the value of being "open to receiving things" and sharing his story to help others. ·       Both Mo and Chris advocate for having an "open mind and a willingness to learn and maybe even step outside your comfort zone" to benefit from techniques like performance imagery. 6. Future of Performance Imagery: ·       Mo Perry believes the potential applications of performance imagery are vast and only limited by one's imagination. ·       He encourages others to learn more about it, recommending Brian Willis's Winning Mind Training. ·       The technique is seen as a powerful tool for "performance excellence" and giving oneself an advantage in any domain. Most Important Ideas/Facts: ·       The significant impact of the mental and psychological aspects (85-90%) on high-level performance. ·       Performance enhancement imagery is a structured technique targeting the subconscious mind to improve performance and well-being. ·       The profound mind-body connection and its potential to influence physical outcomes, as demonstrated by Chris's surgical experience and the anecdotal evidence of reduced bleeding. ·       Chris Borgstead's successful navigation of a life-threatening Whipple surgery, attributed in part to the intentional use of personalized performance imagery. ·       The potential of performance imagery to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and facilitate healing. ·       The accessibility and underutilization of this powerful tool, despite its proven benefits in various fields. Quotes to Consider: ·       "when it comes to high level performance about 85% minimum. Some will say as high as 90% is the mental psychological aspect of um of what's going on inside your mind in the privacy of your own mind." - Mo Perry ·       "performance imagery it it you know to to give a little bit of a history on on it if you go back uh to the 60s and 70s when the uh Eastern block countries really dominated uh uh athletic international sport... they placed a significant emphasis on the mental and psychological aspect of training." - Mo Perry ·       "you can give yourself the advantage through the use of performance enhancement imagery." - Mo Perry ·       "He said you the surgery I had that he conducted on me was one of if not the easiest surgery he's ever done." - Chris Borgstead (recalling his surgeon's statement) ·       "there really wasn't a lot of bleeding like that. You see, and that's kind of what made the surgery so easy." - Chris Borgstead (recalling his surgeon's statement about bleeding) ·       "if you don't put yourself out there you're not going to get anything in return you got to be open to receiving things" - Chris Borgstead ·       "having an open mind and a willingness to learn and maybe even step outside your comfort zone is really critical." - Mo Perry Conclusion: The interviews with Mo Perry and Chris Borgstead provide compelling evidence for the power of performance enhancement imagery. Beyond its traditional applications in sports and professional training, Chris's personal story demonstrates its significant potential in addressing severe health challenges and influencing physical outcomes through the mind-body connection. The discussion highlights the importance of prioritizing mental and psychological well-being as integral components of overall performance and resilience. The interview serves as a powerful testament to the benefits of structured imagery and encourages wider exploration and utilization of this technique.

The recent winter proved deadly for honey bee colonies. The Washington State University's Honey Bees and Pollinators Program reports mass die-offs for commercial beekeepers. Honey bees, butterflies, and even small vertebrates like bats and birds are important to agriculture and are indicators of a healthy ecosystem. Their populations fluctuate and are affected by pesticide use, habitat loss, and climate change. Tribes and Native groups like the Euchee Butterfly Farm are among those devoting resources to pollinator restoration work. We'll talk with Native pollinator protectors about efforts to help turn the threat to pollinators around. Scoop News Group is thrilled to announce the winners of the FedScoop 50 awards for 2024! Now in their 13th year, the FedScoop 50 awards honor the most impactful leaders in the federal government who strive each day to leverage technology to transform government. Scoop News Group once again experienced record voting for the FedScoop 50 in 2024, receiving more than 1 million votes across five categories. As the Biden administration comes to a close, and the federal government prepares for a period of transition, it's an apt time to reflect on the transformation ushered in over the past year at the hands of selfless government officials and industry partners dedicated to bringing progress to our nation and the American people. The Energy Department could be a key force in counteracting the “profit motive” driving America's leading artificial intelligence companies, the agency's second-in-command said in an interview. DOE Deputy Secretary David Turk told FedScoop that top AI firms aren't motivated to pursue all the use cases most likely to benefit the public, leaving the U.S. government — which maintains a powerful network of national labs now developing artificial intelligence infrastructure of their own — to play an especially critical role. Turk's comments come as the Energy Department pushes forward with a series of AI initiatives. One key program is the Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence for Science, Security, and Technology, or FASST effort, which is meant to advance the use of powerful datasets maintained by the agency in order to develop science-forward AI models. Mary chats with apologist and author Chris Lawson of the Spiritual Research Network to discuss occult practices and beliefs that cross into a last days form of revivalism. When we think of "revival", the average Christian is imagining tent meetings, gospel messages, repentance, altar calls, and changed lives. A good and positive thing. That is no longer the only view of revivals, and due to the influence of the NAR and Bethel's School of the Supernatural, more and more calls for revival include a completely different definition, including many occult practices and manifestations. Testing the spirits in this area is more and more critical because experiential Christianity has overtaken many churches, the result of not enduring sound doctrine. In the 2nd half of the program, we delve into the rise of necromancy, or talking to the dead, in the churches, another offshoot of an occultic type of Christianity. It's difficult to understand the juxtaposition of "occult" and "Christianity" and saying it outloud, but it is a subject that needs to be explored.   Shameless plug for swag for our listeners/donors! https://www.redpillprints.com/stand-up-for-the-truth - Thanks for YOUR Support!
