Das künftige iPadOS 16 ist mit herben Einschränkungen für iPad-Anwender verbunden, zumindest für diejenigen Nutzerinnen und Nutzer, die leider kein Apple-Tablet mit M1-Chip besitzen. Die habe dazu eine eindeutige Meinung und verraten jetzt, was sie wirklich wollen.

Jetzt noch ein iPad Air kaufen oder lieber warten auf die 5. Generation? Die ist schon auf dem Weg und könnte bald auf einem Apple-Event vorgestellt werden. Wir verraten euch, warum sich am Ende das Warten lohnt.

Kaum ist das neue iPad Pro 2021 auf dem Markt, bekommt es auch schon die Stiftung Warentest in die Hände. Die Test-Profis fallen auch schon mal ein deutliches Urteil zum neuesten Apple-Tablet, halten dabei mit Kritik aber ebenso wenig zurück.

Jetzt ist es endlich da, das iPad Pro mit M1 und wir gewähren euch und uns tiefe Einblicke in das neue Gerät. Etwas überrascht waren wir schon, als Apple im April verkündet hat, dass das neue iPad mit dem M1-Chip ausgerüstet wird. Bisher waren alle von einer Evolution der A-Reihe ausgegangen. Nun zieht das iPad Pro auf der Leistungsseite mit den gerade erst veröffentlichten M1-Mac gleich. Mit unserem Chip und Elektronik-Experten Matthias Krauß wollen wir uns mal tiefer in die Materie eingraben. Was genau hat es für Vorteile, dass nun auch das Apple-Tablet mit dem schnellen Chip ausgestattet wird. Ein erster Test des neues Gerätes brachte – neben sehr guten Benchmarks – keine deutlichen Unterschiede des neuen zum alten iPad. Es scheint, als komme die enorme Leistung gar nicht oder nur wenig beim Nutzer an. Sicher in Kombination mit dem ebenfalls neu vorgestellten Magic Keyboard (jetzt auch ein Weiß) kann der Tablet-Computer in manchen Situationen durchaus einen Mac ersetzen. Das konnten die iPads pro aus 2018 und 2020 auch. Ebenso das iPad Air 4. Warum also sollte man ein iPad Pro mit M1 kaufen, wenn es doch immer noch im iPad OS gefangen ist. Zwar hat sich das System seit seiner Abspaltung von iOS weiterentwickelt, aber immer noch sind Routinen und Dinge, die am Mac recht einfach von der Hand gehen, umständlich und manchmal auch nicht möglich. Wir werden aber spätestens auf der WWDC sehen, wohin die Reise geht. Vielleicht kommen ja Apps wie Final Cut Pro X und Logic auf das Tablett. Das wär auf jeden Fall ein Anfang. Habt ihr euch das neue iPad Pro gekauft und wenn ja, was macht ihr damit. Welche Anwendungen nutz ihr, die die Leistung eines M1-Chips und 8, bzw. 16 Gigabyte Ram erfordern? —- Werbung —-
