Why did Hashem praise Moshe for breaking the Luchos? This sicha reveals that true wisdom requires more than intellect; it demands a broken heart. By shattering the first Tablets, Moshe created the humility necessary for the Jewish people to receive the infinite, endless depths of the Oral Torah. https://www.torahrecordings.com/likutei-sichos/026/014_003

Think evaporation lowers cyanuric acid? Think again. We open the cover on persistent pool myths with help from the late Bob Lowry's clear, data-driven explanations, and show how small assumptions can create big chemistry problems over a season.First, we break down why CYA never leaves with evaporation—only pure water does. That means every trichlor tablet quietly stacks CYA week after week, often hitting 100 to 150 ppm in a single swimming season. We compare sanitizer byproducts in plain terms: trichlor and dichlor raise CYA, liquid chlorine nudges TDS via salt, and cal hypo increases calcium. You'll hear practical numbers you can use on route, like how a gallon of liquid chlorine typically adds around 20 to 30 ppm salt depending on pool size, and how 65 percent cal hypo can add about 7 ppm calcium for every 10 ppm of free chlorine delivered. Then we shift to acids. Muriatic acid remains the straightforward choice for lowering pH and alkalinity without adding sulfate. Dry acid, while convenient, introduces sulfate that can accumulate and lead to calcium sulfate scale—harder to remove than calcium carbonate and invisible to the LSI you rely on. We also cover why dry acid needs airtight storage due to deliquescence, how to approach dosing when total alkalinity runs high, and why older warnings about dry acid and salt systems don't reflect current understanding, even if they persist in some manuals.By the end, you'll know how to choose the chlorine and acid strategy that fits your climate, hardness, and maintenance plan. • evaporation removes only pure water, not CYA• trichlor adds 6 ppm CYA per 10 ppm chlorine• CYA rises 25 ppm per month at common usage• water loss from draining or splash removes CYA• liquid chlorine adds modest salt and TDS• all chlorine types end as part of TDS• cal hypo adds about 7 ppm calcium per 10 ppm FC• dry acid introduces sulfate and hidden scale risk• calcium sulfate scale does not show on LSI• dry acid is deliquescent and needs tight storage• high alkalinity often nSend a textSupport the Pool Guy Podcast Show Sponsors! The Ten Commandments are more than rules. They are God's covenant with His people, revealing His heart and guiding us toward holiness. In part four of the “Two Sets of Ten” series, we examine the Ritualistic Ten Commandments, the set written on the stone tablets known as the Tablets of the Covenant (Exodus 34:14–26). Unlike the Moralistic Ten, which focus on loving God and loving others, the Ritualistic Ten include ceremonial laws, feasts, and instructions for purity that were designed to set God's people apart. While we no longer follow these rituals literally, understanding them gives insight into God's character, His covenantal expectations, and the way the Old Testament points to Christ. This sermon explores each command in the Ritualistic Ten, from worshipping no other gods to celebrating the feasts, honoring the Sabbath, offering the first fruits, and maintaining purity in sacrifices (Exodus 34:14–26). You'll learn how these commandments intersect with the Moralistic Ten, why some appear in both sets, and how God's instructions were meant to guide His people in obedience, reverence, and love. Though the specific rituals are fulfilled in Christ, they reflect the timeless principle of living in holiness and devotion to God, reminding believers that obedience flows from love (Matthew 22:37–40).Through practical application, this message encourages believers to understand both sets of commandments, engage with Scripture intentionally, and explain the Bible accurately to others. You'll see how God's spoken Word transcends time, how the laws reveal His heart, and how the New Covenant fulfills and perfects the Old. By studying these commands, taking notes, and reflecting on their meaning, you are equipped to live a life that mirrors God's holiness, love, and compassion. This sermon challenges you to renew your mind, embrace God's Word fully, and live out His commands daily, teaching others and walking in obedience with purpose and conviction.Referenced Verses: Exodus 34:28Exodus 34:1Exodus 34:14Exodus 34:15Exodus 34:17Exodus 34:18Exodus 34:19Exodus 34:21Exodus 34:22Exodus 34:25Exodus 34:26Exodus 24:12-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. I sat down for MobileViews Podcast 594 with my longtime friends Sven Johannsen and Frank McPherson. Our usual co-host, Jon Westfall, was away, but we had plenty to cover, ranging from the bite-sized future of entertainment to a massive deep dive into the world of color E-ink tablets. We kicked things off by discussing a fascinating trend in East Asia: micro dramas. Specifically, a TikTok subsidiary called Pine Drama is producing miniseries with episodes lasting only 30 to 90 seconds. These "video comic strips" are designed to be highly addictive, and while I have a short attention span, I'm curious to see if this ultra-short format translates well to global audiences. On a more serious note, we touched on a security vulnerability called Whisper Pair. This bug affects several major Bluetooth headset brands—including Sony, Google, JBL, and Jabra—allowing for potential location tracking if an attacker is within 14 meters. If you use earbuds from these brands, I recommend checking the specific lists online to see if your hardware is vulnerable. I've been testing Google Gemini's personal intelligence features lately, which are surprisingly good at "buttering you up" by knowing your interests in Star Trek or Star Wars. This led to a broader discussion about the AI Divide. With subscriptions like Gemini Pro or Copilot Pro costing around $20 a month, we are quickly moving toward a society of "haves and have-nots" regarding high-level tech tools. We also noted how this digital divide manifests in the real world. The heart of our conversation was a deep dive into color E-ink tablets, led by Frank, who has become a true connoisseur of the medium. We compared several major players in the market: Frank emphasized that for him, writing is about memory and engagement during meetings. While an iPad has more utility, E-ink offers reflective technology that is easier on the eyes and provides a battery life that lasts for days rather than hours. After hearing Frank's breakdown, I'm strongly leaning toward the Boox Note Air 5C. It's available on Amazon for about $530 and includes a stylus that uses Wacom EMR technology, meaning I won't even need to charge the pen.

Like it or not, technology is part of our everyday lives, which means our kids are exposed to it too. Is this really a bad thing? If done in moderation, can these electronic games, toys and tablets actually make our kids smarter? Today we'll break down common fears many parents face and we'll look at new research that suggests this type of learning is more helpful than harmful. Learn more about your ad choices. All this week we're looking at some of the latest data from the Pew Research Center on how parents of children ages twelve and under are managing the realities of life in a smartphone saturated world. The survey found that screen use is starting young. Ninety percent say their kids interact with the TV screen. Almost seventy percent have kids who interact with a tablet. Sixty-one percent interact with a smartphone. Half of the twelve and under cohort of kids engages in gaming. Just under forty percent use a laptop. And at this point, eight percent of five to twelve year olds are currently engaging with an AI chatbot. Paul in his letter to the Colossians says to “set your minds on the things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” CPYU Research Fellow Mike Terry writes, “With screens, it's increasingly likely that their minds are being brought lower into fragmentation, and not lifted higher into focus on the things of God.” Parents, your calling is to point them to Christ.

Donna & Charlie Adelson Behind Bars: Tantrums, Tablets, and Toe Trauma-WEEK IN REVIEW Dan Markel was murdered in 2014 in one of the most shocking custody-related hit jobs in American legal history. Now that two of the key players—Donna and Charlie Adelson—are behind bars, how are they handling it? Spoiler: Not well. In this voice-driven episode of Hidden Killers, we pull the curtain back on life behind bars for the once-powerful Adelsons. Donna's jailhouse meltdown just nine days after her conviction is fully documented in prison logs—loud sobbing, door-pounding, and furious rants about judges and jurors, all while she unknowingly feeds jailhouse informants. Meanwhile, Charlie Adelson, convicted of murder, has his own jailhouse drama. Caught on video by Spill the Crime Tea, Charlie explodes over his big toe being run over by a jail door. He spews racial slurs, berates staff, then folds like a lawn chair when a lieutenant arrives. This isn't a story of redemption. It's the unraveling of a family that thought the rules didn't apply to them. We dig into: – The official jail logs documenting Donna's outbursts – Charlie's unhinged toe tirade caught on camera – What these behaviors tell us about entitlement, narcissism, and collapse – How the Adelsons are adjusting—or failing to—in the harsh reality of incarceration Welcome to the downfall. No more dental dynasty. Just inmate numbers, cold walls, and tablets that barely charge. Watch now and decide for yourself: are the Adelsons victims of injustice, or just finally out of excuses?
