In this episode, we're joined by the brilliant Shane Willard for a powerful and thought-provoking conversation on the gospel, reconciliation, and why Jesus prioritized tables over tablets. Despite a technical glitch, this AI-enhanced episode captures one of the richest interviews we've ever had. Shane unpacks theology with humor, clarity, and depth - covering everything from Acts 8 to redefining righteousness, and why true spirituality is about digging deeper wells, not building higher fences.➡️ Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe.

Today's Double Tap takes a deep dive into the accessibility quirks of tech—past, present, and speculative future. Steven and Shaun start off with a passionate breakdown of split tapping, a handy VoiceOver gesture on iOS, and the surprising discovery that Amazon Fire tablets now support it, even when premium Android phones don't.The hosts then discuss the usability of Fire tablets for blind users, highlighting quirks in VoiceView, audio issues, Kindle's restrictions, and performance pros and cons—especially for budget-conscious buyers. Then it's onto AI: the team explores Perplexity AI's new voice assistant features, including how it can send emails directly from iPhone, potentially challenging mainstream assistants like Siri. The hosts ask: is Apple's AI development lagging, and will it drive blind users to Android?Listener emails dive into everything from language policing in the blind community to old-school laser printers, .vip domains, access to apps like HapticNav, and whether Brother printers really are the best.Get in touch with Double Tap by emailing us feedback@doubletaponair.com or by call 1-877-803-4567 and leave us a voicemail. Send us a text if you want to be on the Podcast & explain why!Glucose tablets—the one essential item every personal trainer should carry at all times. This seemingly simple tool can mean the difference between a successful training session and a medical emergency. In this eye-opening conversation, we dive deep into real-life scenarios where client safety was compromised when blood glucose levels plummeted during workouts. From Will, who nearly passed out after a night of drinking and insufficient sleep, to a 250-pound student who lost consciousness completely, these stories highlight the critical importance of being prepared for emergencies.Trainers often face a unique challenge: clients who underreport their limitations. Men especially tend to push through discomfort, claiming they're "fine" while their body is screaming for help. The signs are there if you know what to look for—loss of color in the face, incoherent speech, or dizziness. When these symptoms appear, glucose tablets provide the fastest route to recovery, as they're rapidly absorbed through the sublingual gland directly into the bloodstream.Beyond emergency preparedness, we discuss how asking the right questions before each session can prevent these situations entirely. "How did you sleep? Did you eat today? Any alcohol last night?" These simple inquiries can inform your training approach and potentially save lives. The difference between certified trainers and qualified professionals lies in this comprehensive understanding of human physiology and client management. As we work to elevate the perception of personal training from just "posting TNA pics online" to a respected profession, these practical skills matter more than ever. Show Up Fitness is changing the industry one qualified trainer at a time, equipping professionals to earn substantially more than the industry average while providing truly transformative client experiences. "I don't restrict screen time so my kids aren't obsessed with it." "I don't like limiting my kids from anything." "It helps them self-regulate." These popular claims are spreading rapidly across social media. But does removing limits actually create more balanced children, or is it simply a convenient way to avoid difficult boundaries? In this episode, I examine the flawed logic behind the "no limits" approach and what screen use actually does to developing brains. I explore: - Why the "forbidden fruit" theory about restrictions doesn't hold up to scrutiny - The false equivalence between screen time and food restrictions - The uncomfortable truth about why many parents avoid setting boundaries - What research actually tells us about screen time's impact on development - The alternative solution most parents aren't aware of (that doesn't involve screens OR constant parent attention) Beyond trends and convenient solutions lies the truth about what children truly need to thrive. I offer practical alternatives that benefit both overwhelmed parents AND developing children - no guilt, just better options. ____________________
