What is an aquanaut? "An aquanaut is any person who remains underwater, breathing at the ambient pressure for long enough for the concentration of the inert components of the breathing gas dissolved in the body tissues to reach equilibrium, in a state known as saturation. Usually this is done in an underwater habitat on the seafloor for a period equal to or greater than 24 continuous hours without returning to the surface. #underwater #ocean #scuba #underwaterhabitat #future #underwaterhotel #reasons #patreon #aquanaut #space #blueorigin #jeffbezos #richardbranson https://discord.gg/jp5aSSkfNS http://atlantisseacolony.com/ https://www.patreon.com/atlantisseacolony

Last we left our party, they was face to face with a strange mist, sanguine in color and enigmatic in character, where their navigational direction seemed to end. With this pernicious condensation gawking at our Paternal Party, and the unbearable known journey behind them, it seems to be nothing more than a dead end. However, those unfortunate assumptions and assuages are the begetters of stories of horror and myth, where it is either hero triumphant or villain brutal that arises from the narrative ashes, and our situation is no different. The sanguine mist hides a sinister, insidious force, with eyes set upon one crew member. Met with this opposition, our crew must spring into action in order to defend their word, honor and friends, but for what reason is it that the puppet master so masterfully pulls the strings? Why would it seem that this unfathomable location holds a means to defend itself against protagonist intruders? To find that answer, our Furiosa Fatheras will rely again upon the ingenuity of their cephalopod and pachyderm friends, who's bag of tricks is larger than any Bag of Holding. Armed, equipped and curious, our Aquanauts take the plunge and dive into the next chapter of our story, eager and emboldened to find what, or who, would wish them harm. If these words tickled those ear-gullets of yours, or any other part of your body then tune in, from afar, to From Afar Podcast! Gulp, gulp, fizz, fizz!

Five 'aquanauts' became the first women to front a mission for America's space agency, Nasa, in 1970. But their mission was underwater rather than in space. They spent two weeks being continuously monitored on camera in an undersea habitat. When they emerged from the experiment they were given a ticker tape parade and invited to the White House. Laura FitzPatrick has been speaking to Alina Szmant one of the aquanauts.
The interior of Aquarius provides a unique location for NASA to study behavioral effects of space flight.
Chubby! on Facebook: www.facebook.com/chubbyrecords Don Carlos on Facebook: www.facebook.com/doncarlosdj Carlo Troja aka Don Carlos hails from Varese, in the North of Italy, and has been active as a DJ from the late 70's. He debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80's with the single 'Alone' on Calypso Records (IMRA), which became one of the cult tracks of the international Deep House scene. His productions have always mixed House rhythms with afro-american jazz sounds, verging sometime towards disco, sometime towards progressive house or electronic soul. In 1992 IRMA USA released his first album 'Mediterraneo', followed in 1993 by the Montego Bay project, produced together with Stefano Tirone (S-Tone Inc.), also on IRMA. He then released some singles on the Chicago based label Guidance under the Aquanauts moniker. He also reached the UK charts with the hit ‘You Make Me Feel’, sung by Byron Stingley, cover of the cult song by Sylvester. In 2000 he released a single on Erik Morillo's Subliminal Soul label and played highly acclaimed gigs at Ministry of Sound and Turnmills in London. In 2002 he released his third album ‘Music in My Mind’ featuring top guest vocalists like Kim Mazelle, Michelle Weeks, Taka Boom and Kevin Bryant. Following two mixed compilations ('Cafe De Paris Saint Tropez' and 'DJ Set') in 2004 IRMA released a collection of his 90's productions titled 'Mediterraneo', like his debut US album.

Historic images, a recent interview with Scripps Diving Officer Emeritus Jim Stewart, and modern ROV footage of the underwater site take us on an ocean journey through time to revisit the 1965 underwater habitat experiment called SeaLab II. Part of the Navy's "Man in the Sea" program, this 45 day project involved 3 teams of 10 Aquanauts, with each team living in the ocean habitat for 15 day periods at a depth of 205 feet. Scripps Institution of Oceanography divers worked as support for the SeaLab II project which took place not far off the end of Scripps Pier in La Jolla, California. A special thank you to Jim Stewart, Kevin Hardy, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Scripps Archives, Scripps Library, and Walt Mazzone.

Ely won the role of Tarzan in 1966 after playing supporting roles in films such as South Pacific (1958), as an airplane navigator, The Fiend Who Walked the West (1958) and The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker (1959).[citation needed]During the filming of Tarzan, Ely did virtually all of his stunts for the series,[3] and suffered two dozen major injuries in the process, including two broken shoulders and various lion bites.[4]Ely's height (6'4") and athletic build also won him the title role in the film Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze (1975), as well as various guest shots. He was in five episodes of the series Fantasy Island; in one, in 1978, Ely portrayed Mark Antony in a Roman military short tunic and breastplate. Also in 1978, Ely starred in the Wonder Woman television series two-part episode "The Deadly Sting."[citation needed]Ely starred on the series The Aquanauts in 1960–1961, in the western adventure film The Night of the Grizzly (1966) opposite Clint Walker, and later appeared in Jürgen Goslar's slavery movie Slavers (1978). In the 1980s, he hosted the musical game show Face the Music, as well as the 1980 and 1981 Miss America Pageants, replacing longtime host Bert Parks.[5] Later in the decade, Ely starred in a 1987–1988 revival of the 1960s adventure series Sea Hunt as Mike Nelson, the role played by Lloyd Bridges in the original series.[citation needed]In the 1990s, Ely’s roles included a retired Superman from an alternative reality in the 1991 two-part episode "The Road to Hell" of the Superboy syndicated television series, and a big game hunter named Gordon Shaw in the 1992 episode "Tarzan the Hunted" of the syndicated Tarzán TV series (starring Wolf Larson). Until about 2001, Ely made appearances on such television shows as Sheena and Renegade.[citation needed]Ely had retired from acting in 2001, but he returned to acting with an appearance in the television movie Expecting Amish (2014).[
