Episode 13: Water is Life (Samaqan nit Pomawsuwakon)The Aunties welcome two honored Passamaquoddy guests to the studio, Chief Pos Bassett and Attorney Corey Hinton. This is the first time a Wabanaki Chief has been in the studio and the Aunties are honored. Both Corey and Chief Bassett will discuss the history of the Sipayik Passamaquoddy water crisis, where have we been and where are we now. Maine, “the way life should be” is often how you see this state described. Maine has a brand, it is a brand that includes vast forests, beautiful coastlines, robust rivers, and clean air. While Wabanaki Territory (what some now call Maine) is a sacred home to Wabanaki people and has been for thousands of years, we know the risks deep within the land and created by the people. Passamaquoddy people have lived with dirty water for generations, poisonous water entering the community and homes of the people. Throughout the state of Maine, when water is unsafe, the response is fierce, and the problem is mitigated. For the Passamaquoddy people, the story has been different. Why? How do we move beyond our myopic focus on carbon/CO2 as the index of our harms to the world? What can we do to heal the whole biosphere? And what role is played by water-as-verb, forest-as-verb, ocean-as-verb? This week's guest is an environmental journalist and author who has answers to all of these questions - and more. Judith Schwartz is an author who tells stories to explore and illuminate scientific concepts and cultural nuance. She takes a clear-eyed look at global environmental, economic, and social challenges, and finds insights and solutions in natural systems. She writes for numerous publications, including The Guardian and Scientific American and her first two books are music to our regenerative ears. The first is called 'Cows Save the Planet' and the next is 'Water in Plan Sight'. Her latest, “The Reindeer Chronicles”, was long listed for the Wainwright Prize and is an astonishingly uplifting exploration of what committed people are achieving as they dedicate themselves to earth repair, water repair and human repair. Judith was recently at the 'Embracing Nature's Complexity' conference, organised by the Biotic Pump Greening Group which offers revolutionary new insights into eco-hydro-climatological landscape restoration. She's a contributor to the new book, 'What if we Get it Right?' edited by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, who was one of the editors of All We can Save.Judith has been described as 'one of ecology's most indispensable writers' and when you read her work, you'll understand the magnificent depth and breadth of her insight into who we are and how we can help the world to heal. Water is life means that for substance like water or mother's milk from any animal you cannot equate the natural substances with man-made purification and remineralization as humans do not understand how to re-enliven water after they have destroyed it. As a result, children are being given non-water water and non-milk milk. The impact today on children drinking water that has been desalinated or re-mineralized is seen in the lack of dental growth and the lack of other growth still to be determined. Real milk and real water no matter how 'polluted' is still better than a man-made replacement! All views presented are based on credible sources, but they are explained through the individual's viewpoint. Doing your own research while integrating new information is always important when forming your own viewpoint. The information in this podcast is not meant to address individual health needs, it is general in nature and should not be used as medical information for your health unless used in combination with your health practitioner.

How much of you is water? How many people don't have clean water? How many times does the Bible mention water? How can we best raise concern for water for ourselves, our neighbors, and our planet? Rev. Jody explores the joys and sorrows of water.
Green Dreamer: Sustainability and Regeneration From Ideas to Life
What does it mean to remember ourselves as representatives of our rivers, oceans, and other earthly bodies of water? Why is it vital to recognize the failed logic underpinning regulatory systems that take on an “innocent until proven guilty” approach to water pollution? And how can we leverage our tools as artists, storytellers, and creatives to co-create felt change? In this episode, we dialogue with Tzintzun Aguilar-Izzo and Blake Lavia of Talking Wings Collective for a synergistic conversation — where they invite us to think and dream with water.Join us as the artist-activist duo expands on how the legal frameworks surrounding pollution often exist in “grey areas”; why we need to problematize such “bureaucracies of death” as maintaining worldviews of separation between people and our waterful world; and what it means to replace extractivist modes of relating with our ecosystems that better align with the Indigenous framing of “Water is Life.”Tune in and subscribe to Green Dreamer via any podcast app; get our show notes at greendreamer.com; and join us on Patreon for the extended version of this episode.www.patreon.com/greendreamer

In our inaugural episode, show hosts Drs. Vivian Vega and Jackie Sherbuk discuss the upcoming Summer travel season and important infections spread by contact with water. Vibrio vulnificus is a potentially deadly illness spreading in the U.S. due to climate change that peaks in the hottest summer months. Vivian discusses risk factors for exposure and how vulnerable individuals can stay safe. Next, Jackie shares three limericks tied to specific waterborne infections, and Vivian has to guess the infectious agent tied to hot tubs, aerosolized water, and other recreational aquatic exposures. Next, the duo discuss Leptospirosis, an important zoonoses (human disease acquired from wild animals) associated with adventurous travel. To close the episode, two Infectious Diseases specialists and travel enthusiasts from the USF's Division of Infectious Diseases, Dr. Shylah Moore-Pardo and Dr. Shivan Shah, discuss how they stay safe during their travel adventures. Dr. Vega would like to give a special thank you to her good friend Dr. Rey Rivera and to Mr Job Meiller for their musical contributions for our podcast.
In his latest Hearing the Council video interview, Ward 5 Councilmember Zachary Parker discusses three bills he introduced. His “Water is Life” bill would prevent residential water service shutoffs for nonpayment and facilitate access by tenants to programs meant to help avoiding such shutoffs. His Pay Our Youth a Fair Wage bill would increase wages for participants in the Summer Youth Employment Program. And his Environmental Justice Act would look at the cumulative impacts of environmentally detrimental projects in a single community. Plus we discuss how to formulate the perfect councilmember out of the best traits of his colleagues.
The Pray for Micah Podcast starts off 2024 with another special guest and Kansas City friend, Emmy Harr. Ember, AKA Emmy, is a guide, transformational healer, mentor, soon-to-be published author, and a steward. She is the creator of Rippled Vibrations, a suite of group programs for Beings of Sacred Service (BOSS's) to radically expand, connect, and detox their body, emotions, and spirituality through the means of electric living water in order to enter into a more hydrated way of life, and business. After creating her first 6-figure business at the ripe age of 26 through a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (the cleansing waters of the body), she knew she needed to hydrate the way she did things. Now Emmy guides others to hydrate the relationships in their lives. As a steward of the land, the body, Money, and children, she often sees life through the interconnectedness of movement, money, and water and brings a childlike ease to those around her. Emmy is passionate about bringing people to nature, as by turning to Nature – we turn to ourselves. She believes by leading with service, this is how we create an entirely new paradigm for this beautiful planet we call Mama.

This show is made possible by you! To become a sustaining member go to LauraFlanders.org/donateFrom the sinking lands of California's Central Valley to the depleting aquifers nationwide, we're at a critical point: Americans are running out of water. In this episode of Meet the BIPOC Press, a monthly collaboration between The Laura Flanders Show and URL Media, we take a closer look at the US water crisis that is affecting many Americans, and putting communities of color especially at risk. How are over-extraction and climate change impacting our water supply? BIPOC media outlets are bringing these stories to the forefront, debunking myths about climate change and uplifting solutions to this urgent issue. Joining us for this conversation are Warigia Bowman, Professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law, and Andrew Hazzard, Climate Reporter at Sahan Journal, which is dedicated to reporting on communities of color in Minnesota. Co-host S. Mitra Kalita is co-founder of URL Media, a national network of Black and Brown community news outlets. Kalita is also the publisher of Epicenter-NYC, a newsletter based in Queens, New York. How do we turn the tide on this crisis, before our water sources run dry?“We should change the food and the crops we grow, we should change what we eat. We should change how we view the role of agriculture in our society . . . Indigenous people are not well represented in academia or in industry for that matter, and they have already worked through some of these solutions.” - Warigia Bowman“As a climate reporter, I think it's my responsibility not only to raise the fact that there are major issues facing our society due to global warming caused by the burning of fossil fuels, but also to highlight that there are people that are working on solutions . . .” - Andrew Hazzard“I think you cannot separate water from healthcare. You can't separate water from housing. You can't separate water from race and Indigenous communities . . . By centering people of color, instantly we're in solutions mode in terms of how we're presenting these issues.” - S. In this episode, I'm joined by Isabel Friend, Water Ambassador, International Speaker, and Founder of Water Is Life, an online store and directory of water-vitalizing tools and biohacking strategies for ultimate hydration. Our conversation offers a new understanding of ourselves in the universe as we dig into the science and spirituality of our drinking and biological water. When we look at ancient vibratory, mental, and emotional practices such as yoga and breathwork, we can see that a lot of those are actually designed to help the biological water flow in very specific ways. There is an absolute correlation between our spiritual awareness, spiritual evolution, and the quality of our hydration. Water, being the mother source, exists in many forms. As we awaken to the power of water, then humanity itself awakens. Water is the most ancient and wise living being in the universe and because of that, it's easy to get lost in the complexity of it. However, this conversation serves as a reminder that water loves you, wants a relationship with you, and loves to be approached not as scientific experimentation, but with playful curiosity. Listen in to hear Isabel's six-step process of practical ways you can take the power of water and put it into practice in your consciousness, your awareness, and your lifeforce energy. Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or on your favorite podcast platform. Topics Covered: The law of attraction with respect to water The negative impacts of dehydration and the benefits of hydration Water communicating over vast distances faster than the speed of light How water is involved in creation stories and ancient cultures around the world Increasing the hydrogen in your water and ensuring it is safer to drink How to add light energy and light frequency in your water Resources Mentioned: Get 10% off Isabel's e-courses with code 'RAINBO': waterislife.teachable.com The Physics of Angels: Exploring the Realm Where Science and Spirit Meet - Rupert Sheldrake Guest Info: Follow Isabel on Instagram: @jenisabelfriend Learn more on Isabel's website: waterislife.shop Follow Me: Follow me on Instagram: @tonyapapanikolove Follow Rainbo on Instagram: @rainbomushrooms Shop Rainbo: rainbo.com
During this episode Heathar Shepard, classical homeopath and author of The Sunlight Rx + The Sunlight Diet, takes a deep dive into water. Heathar discusses optimal sources of drinking water, water to avoid, water filters to avoid. She talks about her issues with exposing your water to sunlight and she discusses the difference between the water in your cells vs the water you drink.
Dr. Elikplim Abla Dzikunoo and Abdul Rashid Seidu discuss their Geoscientists without Borders project, "Provision of potable water to communities in northeastern Ghana." This GWB project will directly help the inhabitants of two communities (Zagsliari and Salinwia) located within the Nasia river basin in the West Mamprusi district – Northeastern region of Ghana. In Zagsliari, men, women, and children will all benefit from potable water. Children will especially benefit as the current water supplies in the community expose them to diseases like cholera and dysentery. In Salinwia, families will profit greatly from the provision of boreholes, enabling them to engage in year-round irrigation farming to improve their economic fortunes and sustenance for themselves and their livestock. This was done by using Electrical Resistivity Tomography techniques to define and interpret geo-electric sections and models to show the subsurface lithology distribution and provide scientific data that will inform groundwater management policy decision-making and improve access to potable water resources by the communities of the study area. To build on the knowledge of the area's geology and offer a better understanding of the underlying complexities, lithologic logging was done during drilling, followed by geophysical logging after drilling, which offers improved resolutions of the subsurface geologic complexities. In this conversation with host Andrew Geary, Elikplim and Rashid explain why groundwater is of growing importance in the "food basket of Ghana" as rainwater gets more difficult to predict. Elikplim highlights the value of combining community knowledge with scientifically-tested methods to be successful. Rashid explores why groundwater has been an overlooked resource in Ghana. And they both discuss the importance of respecting the culture where scientific work occurs. A group of artists, science storytellers, water scientists, artificial intelligence researchers, data scientists, and more, Talk To Me About Water's website states:“It is said that “The future is here, it's just not evenly distributed.” It's the same way with the water crisis— it will be a crisis for all of us one day, but currently, those shouldering the most of this burden are the global indigenous, the water protectors seeking to stop the extraction and pollution of their ecosystems. It feels far away now, but their water is our water or will be soon. If we don't listen to them it's like we're ignoring a message from the future. Part of ‘Talk to me About Water' is also bridging that gap for those who are experiencing the water crisis more acutely to hear from them, unfiltered.”Season 2 of the award-winning podcast Wampum.Codes bring you audio from live streams, on-location recordings, and some of the same formats you know from Season 1. Indigenous guests explore themes of creative exploration, storytelling, and emerging technologies. Your host Amelia Winger-Bearskin (Seneca-Cayuga) invites you to sit back and have a vibe shift for your day.

Zoey is joined by Water Is Life Founder and Educator and water ambassador Isabel Friend. As an activist, advocate and educator on the rights and sentience of water, Isabel teaches workshops and e-courses around the world on hydration health, hydro-physics and watershed ecology, and a whole lot more. Zoey and Isabel discuss the more esoteric aspects of water wisdom and hydration biohacking techniques - including water as the physical body of consciousness itself, how water creates life by channeling energy through sacred geometry (on micro and macro scales), the quantum states of water, how our Chi/Prana is directly correlated to our level of hydration, why hydration is NOT what people think it is and why 99% of people are actually dehydrated. Pilgrims, Indians, the myth of the grateful colonized person — it's been at the core of a persistent but false Thanksgiving narrative that has distorted the true relationship between Indigenous Peoples and white colonizers dating back to Plymouth Rock. As many of us observe Thanksgiving and Indigenous Peoples' Day, the new federal holiday, Judith LeBlanc, executive director of the Native Organizers Alliance, reminds us that “people are questioning.” In the midst of a national reckoning with white supremacy and colonial history, Indigenous people are demanding a new relationship with DC — honoring the traditional, legal, and moral rights of Native nations. In 2021, a group of Native organizers invited Laura to travel with a 25-foot totem pole from the Lummi Nation in Washington State to Washington D.C. stopping for ceremonies in communities under threat and gathering messages for the Biden-Harris administration. In DC they held a historic meeting with Interior Secretary Deb Haaland. In this episode, we hear what happened in that meeting, how Native movements are changing, among other myths, the Thanksgiving story, and where a Red Road to the future might lead us — if we followed it. November is National American Indian Heritage Month.“. . . When Native peoples are taking a stand, whether it's no DAPL at Standing Rock or the Keystone XL Pipeline . . . it's not just a Native American issue. We're defending the water and the land for tens of millions of Americans.” - Crystal Echo Hawk“Laws and policies were written without considering Indigenous communities' challenges or their strengths . . . Today and every day, we break barriers to those institutions and systems that were designed to keep us out.” - Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland“We're hoping this Thanksgiving, people take a look at what has happened in this country when it comes to reckoning with systemic racism . . . We bring the idea that we're all in relationship.” - Judith LeBlancGuests:Crystal Echo Hawk: IllumiNative, Founder & CEOJudith LeBlanc: Director, Native Organizers AllianceMari Margil: Executive Director, Center for Democratic and Environmental RightsAnahkwet/Guy Reiter: Executive Director, Menīkānaehkem Community RebuildersFaith Spotted Eagle: Ihanktonwon Dakota Elder & Brave Heart Society Kunsi Member The show is made possible by listeners like you. On this episode of The RAGE Podcast, we talk to Dr. Linda Estelí Méndez-Barrientos. Born and raised in Nicaragua, her research prioritizes water governance, power asymmetries, and inequalities within policy. Earlier this year, Dr. Méndez-Barrientos spoke at the Climate Justice Roundtable dialogue, put together by IRISE, to advance conversations about climate justice in academia. In our conversation, we discuss the challenges facing her work, the paradoxes around clean water access, and the importance of inclusionary policy that helps center climate justice issues impacting historically excluded communities. We are 70% water in body mass, but 99% water on a molecular level! That is why the quality, the composition, and the “shape” of the water we drink tremendously influence our life. Aǹalemma water regenerates, revitalizes and rejuvenates our bodies and minds on a cellular level. In regular tap water, H2O molecules move in a chaotic and irregular manner. Through a simple process, Aǹalemma radically changes the state of water by rearranging the H2O molecules into a liquid crystalline structure. That structure, and its stability, have a remarkable influence on all living things—people, plants, and animals! Aǹalemma is a revolution in the science of water, a revolution in understanding what the right H2O can do for our health and wellness. We speak with CEO of Analemma on brain health, gut health, immunity, overall cellular health and lifestyle benefits of incorporating more coherent water into our healthy routine.
