#STSNation! Welcome to the podcast that promises to bring you the very #BestGuests in all of #TrueCrime. The Jared Bridegan murder-for-hire case takes a shocking turn as Henry Tenon, the confessed gunman, backtracks on his previous testimony, claiming it was false. In response, defense attorneys for Shanna Gardner and Mario Fernandez successfully motioned to obtain Tenon's jail phone records, which could unravel the entire case. Judge London Kite also authorized the Secret Service to transfer encrypted evidence for forensic review. But wait...there's more. The alleged mastermind behind the murder, ex-wife Shanna Gardner, is also getting into trouble behind bars and she now has a new lover...and is gushing to her family about them. With Gardner and Fernandez facing murder charges for the ambush-style 2022 killing of Bridegan, this new development raises questions about Tenon's credibility and the future of the prosecution's case. We'll dig into all of this in today's episode.Get Joel's Book: Https://amzn.to/48GwbLxAll Things STS: Https://linktr.ee/stspodcastSupport the show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SurvivingTheSurvivorCatch us live on YouTube: Surviving The Survivor: #BestGuests in True Crime - YouTube#JaredBridegan #ShannaGardner #MarioFernandez #HenryTenon #MurderForHire #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #SurvivingTheSurvivor #CourtroomDrama #CriminalInvestigation #LegalUpdate #JusticeForJared #TrueCrimePodcast #murdermystery #truecrimepodcast

Have you ever pondered how thin the line between love and hate can be? This intriguing question lies at the heart of the Jared Bridegan murder case, a complex saga of family drama, scorn, and alleged murder. Tony Brueski, host of the "Hidden Killers" podcast, recently delved into this gripping case with former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer. Brueski and Coffindaffer analyzed the police interviews of Shanna Gardner and Mario Saldana, charged with the ambush shooting of Gardner's ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The pair's insights offer a fascinating glimpse into a tangled web of emotions, motives, and family strife. Jennifer Coffindaffer provided a keen analysis of Gardner's statements, observing a profound sense of scorn and bitterness in her words. "I think there's a very thin line between love and hate," Coffindaffer noted, suggesting that Gardner's hatred stemmed from a deep-seated love gone awry. She highlighted Gardner's portrayal as a financial pillar in the family and her frustration over monetary issues, reflecting a mix of emotional and pragmatic concerns in the backdrop of a custody battle. The podcast also scrutinized Saldana's contrasting account, which pointed to Bridegan's supposed enemies. Brueski questioned whether this was a deflection of guilt or a logical explanation from someone newly related to a complex family dynamic. Coffindaffer saw it as a strategic diversion, contrasting Gardner's emotional appeal with Saldana's more logical approach. Yet, the crux of the case lies in the hard evidence, which Coffindaffer believes strongly implicates the duo. She also dismissed the possibility of extended family involvement, citing a lack of supporting evidence. The discussion ended with Brueski pondering alternative scenarios, including the potential involvement of other family members, akin to the Adelson case. However, Coffindaffer remained steadfast in her belief that the evidence pointed directly to Gardner and Saldana. This case leaves us wondering: how often do love and hate intertwine in such tragic outcomes? And could a deeper understanding of these emotions help prevent future tragedies? The Jared Bridegan murder case continues to provoke thought and debate, reflecting the complexities of human relationships and the dark turns they can take. In the shadow of a tragedy that captured the nation's attention, the murder of Jared Bridegan raises questions that go beyond the surface details of the crime. Charged with the murder are Shanna Gardner and Mario Saldana, Bridegan's ex-wife and her new partner. At first glance, the case might seem straightforward, especially with a hitman alleging that Gardner and Saldana hired him to execute Bridegan. However, recent insights into the perspectives of Gardner and Saldana, gleaned from police interviews conducted after their arrests, suggest a more complex narrative. Tony Brueski, in a revealing conversation with psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott on the podcast "Hidden Killers," delves into the nuanced dynamics at play. The discussion sheds light on the contentious relationship between Bridegan and his ex-wife's family, suggesting that the adults involved may not have always acted with the maturity expected of them, especially in the presence of children. "It is pointing, er, it is putting us into their mindset, obviously, it is their bias and they're going to express themselves in a way that's going to look beneficial to them," Brueski notes, acknowledging the inherent bias in the accounts provided by Gardner and Saldana. Despite this, he suggests that there may be an "iota of truth" to their portrayal of a fraught relationship, emphasizing that this in no way justifies murder. The conversation with Scott takes a deeper dive into the psychological underpinnings of the case, exploring whether Gardner and Saldana share equal blame or if their motivations and mental states diverged significantly. Scott points out, "I think there are differences, clearly," highlighting the complexity of divorces and child custody disputes that turn sour. The police interviews reveal discrepancies in Gardner and Saldana's accounts, raising questions about their individual roles and the extent of their involvement. While both sought to present themselves in a positive light, the subtleties in their testimonies hint at differing degrees of culpability or, perhaps, different levels of willingness to go to the extreme measure of orchestrating Bridegan's murder. Brueski's analysis, coupled with Scott's psychological expertise, invites listeners to consider the broader context of high-conflict divorces and the extreme actions they can precipitate. The discussion underscores the tragic outcome of a situation where, as Brueski puts it, "everybody who is playing the part here as an adult around these children may not have been playing very well as emotionally mature adults." As the conversation unfolds, the spotlight turns not just on the accused but also on the societal and psychological factors that contribute to such devastating outcomes. The case of Jared Bridegan, as dissected by Brueski and Scott, becomes a lens through which to examine the darker aspects of human relationships, particularly when entangled with the complexities of divorce and custody battles. In closing, the dialogue between Brueski and Scott leaves listeners with a lingering question: In the midst of legal battles and emotional turmoil, how do we discern the truth, and how do we navigate the murky waters of justice when family dynamics turn deadly? As the case against Gardner and Saldana progresses, the search for answers continues, reflecting the challenges of unraveling the truth in situations where emotions run high, and the stakes are life and death. The murder of Jared Bridegan serves as a grim reminder of the potential for conflict to escalate beyond reason, highlighting the need for empathy, understanding, and, above all, a commitment to resolving disputes without resorting to violence. As society grapples with these issues, the conversation between Brueski and Scott offers valuable insights into the human psyche and the complexities of familial relationships, prompting us to reflect on the ways in which we handle conflict and the impact of our actions on those we love. In a case that has captivated the nation's attention, the murder of Jared Bridegan has unfolded layers of complexity, intrigue, and speculation. As the investigation progresses, the spotlight turns to Shanna Gardner and Mario Saldana, charged with the heinous act. But amidst the damning evidence, including a hitman's accusation pointing directly at them, the question arises: Is the narrative as straightforward as it seems? Tony Brueski, joined by retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke on the podcast "Hidden Killers," delves into the behavioral aspects of this intricate case. Through the lens of newly released police interviews with Gardner and Saldana, a different perspective on their relationship with Bridegan emerges, challenging the simplicity of the crime's apparent motives. The interviews, according to Brueski, reveal a tumultuous and contentious relationship not only between Bridegan and Gardner but also suggest a broader context involving familial influence and financial power dynamics. "Both sides to a story. And it's important to hear both sides to any story," Brueski notes, summarizing the interviews that paint a complex picture of co-parenting conflicts, personality clashes, and possibly, underlying mental health issues. Dreeke, applying his expertise in behavioral analysis, points out the significance of Mario Saldana's reaction upon learning of Bridegan's death. A reaction not of shock or disbelief, but rather an immediate justification or reasoning behind the murder. "Your initial reaction is typically not that," Dreeke observes, suggesting a deeper involvement or awareness of the situation than previously believed. This behavioral clue, alongside the quick and contentious nature of Gardner's relationships with both Bridegan and Saldana, raises questions about the dynamics at play. The rapid marriages, financial disputes, and Saldana's immediate deflection following Bridegan's murder hint at a "cornucopia of crazy" as Dreeke aptly describes. It's a scenario where underlying tensions and grievances may have escalated into a tragic outcome, yet the precise motivations and involvement of each party remain murky. The parallels drawn to other high-profile cases, such as Donna Adelson and Charlie Adelson, suggest a pattern where financial and familial pressures intersect with volatile personal relationships, leading to catastrophic decisions. In Gardner's case, her affluent background and the involvement of significant financial resources in her defense underscore the potential influence of money and power in the narrative. As the case unfolds, Brueski and Dreeke contemplate the possibility of other players or motivations behind the murder. The involvement of a hitman, who squarely blames Gardner and Saldana, adds a critical dimension to the case, yet the duo ponder the hitman's incentives for implicating them specifically. Could there have been another force, perhaps stemming from Gardner's powerful family, that set the events in motion? The discussions on "Hidden Killers" shed light on the psychological and behavioral underpinnings of a case that, on the surface, appears to be a clear-cut instance of murder for custody. However, the testimonies of Gardner and Saldana, coupled with Dreeke's analysis, reveal a tangled web of relationships, egos, and possibly, manipulation extending beyond the immediate suspects. As the legal proceedings against Gardner and Saldana progress, the broader implications of their accounts and the behavioral insights drawn from them continue to intrigue and perplex. The tragedy of Jared Bridegan's murder opens a Pandora's box of questions about the nature of relationships, the impact of wealth and power, and the lengths to which individuals will go to achieve their desires. In a case where every detail is scrutinized, the insights from Brueski and Dreeke remind us of the complexities inherent in human behavior and the unpredictable dynamics of interpersonal relationships. As the investigation continues, one cannot help but wonder: Beyond the allegations and the hitman's testimony, what other forces were at play in the shadows of this tragic story? In the grim tapestry of crime and justice, few cases stir as much public and psychological intrigue as the murder of Jared Bridegan. Charged with this chilling act are Shanna Gardner and Mario Saldana, Bridegan's ex-wife and her new partner, respectively. But beneath the surface of these allegations lies a web of complexity that begs the question: Is the narrative as straightforward as it appears? Tony Brueski, delving deep into this conundrum on the "Hidden Killers" podcast, is joined by psychologist John Delatorre. Together, they explore the psychological underpinnings and relational dynamics that may have contributed to this tragic outcome. The recent release of police interviews with Gardner and Saldana offers a rare glimpse into their perspectives, painting a picture of a deeply fractured family unit. The interviews suggest a contentious relationship not only between Gardner and Bridegan but also hint at broader family dynamics at play. "From all accounts...didn't necessarily seem to want to hurt each other," Brueski reflects on the affidavits. Yet, the narrative of Jared Bridegan as a difficult personality emerges, complicating the straightforward villainy often ascribed to the accused. Delatorre cautions against accepting these portrayals at face value, emphasizing the inherent biases in such accounts. "We only know that he wasn't a good guy because of what other people are saying about him," Delatorre points out, underscoring the complexity of discerning truth in high-conflict situations. The case's intricacies are further compounded by the relationship dynamics between Jared and Shanna. Their whirlwind marriage, questioned motives due to Gardner's wealth, and subsequent swift collapse suggest a pattern of impulsive relationship decisions marred by underlying mental health issues. Delatorre suggests that "there might be some ulterior motives as to why people would enter into such serious relationships," hinting at deeper psychological factors at play. Amidst these revelations, the role of an alleged hitman—who claims Gardner and Saldana hired him—adds a layer of damning evidence against them. Yet, Delatorre and Brueski speculate on the potential for other influences, drawing parallels to cases where family patriarchs or matriarchs take drastic actions to resolve perceived problems. Could there have been a vigilante within their midst, motivated by a misguided sense of justice or a desire to protect the children from a contentious custody battle? Despite these speculative avenues, the hitman's testimony remains a critical pillar of the prosecution's case. Delatorre raises a crucial point: "I have no insight into the professional ethics of a hitman, but I have to imagine that if he says that these are the people that paid him, then I would have to believe that those are the people that paid him." This assertion cuts through the speculative fog, anchoring the case in the stark reality of the accused's alleged actions. As the conversation unfolds, Brueski and Delatorre navigate the murky waters of human psychology, relational dynamics, and the sometimes inscrutable motives behind criminal acts. The case of Jared Bridegan's murder, with its blend of familial conflict, mental health considerations, and the cold calculus of hired violence, serves as a grim reminder of the complexities inherent in the human psyche. As the legal proceedings against Gardner and Saldana progress, the broader questions of motive, influence, and psychology linger. What drives individuals to the brink of such irreversible actions? And in the pursuit of justice, how do we navigate the intricate web of human emotions, relationships, and the shadowy recesses of the mind? As Brueski and Delatorre conclude their exploration, the case of Jared Bridegan remains a somber study of the tragic outcomes that can emerge from the confluence of high-conflict relationships, mental health issues, and the extreme measures some may take in the name of resolution or revenge. In the complex and emotionally charged case of Jared Bridegan's murder, a central question looms: Can renowned defense attorney Jose Baez weave his legal expertise into a narrative of innocence for Shanna Gardner Fernandez, Bridegan's ex-wife? This intriguing question was the focal point of a recent episode of "Hidden Killers," where host Tony Brueski and former Federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani explored the intricacies of this high-profile case. Shanna Gardner Fernandez stands accused of first-degree murder in a conspiracy to kill her ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, with the death penalty as a potential outcome. The case, already sensational due to its allegations and the profile of those involved, gained another layer of complexity with the hiring of Baez, known for his role in the Casey Anthony trial. Brueski, setting the stage, pointed out the gravity of the charges and the seemingly 'open and shut' nature of the case, given the hitman's testimony implicating both Gardner and her current husband, Mario Fernandez. Rahmani, bringing his prosecutorial perspective to the conversation, acknowledged Baez's reputation and past successes, including a recent case in Ohio. He emphasized Baez's ability to achieve acquittals in seemingly impossible situations, stating, "You never want to count Jose Baez out." His insight set the stage for a discussion on what legal strategies Baez might employ in a case where the evidence, including a cooperator with a connection to Mario and a clear motive, seems overwhelmingly stacked against the defendants. One potential defense strategy, as Brueski suggested, could have been for either Shanna or Mario to turn on the other. However, with both being tried together, this tactic seems off the table. Rahmani concurred, predicting a united front from the defendants and a likely focus on discrediting the hitman's testimony. He highlighted the advancements in digital forensics, particularly cell phone communications, which could play a crucial role in the case. The conversation then ventured into speculation about the possible narratives Baez might construct. Rahmani noted, "They're going to have some sort of story. Why would someone do this? That really, and again, it's an elaborate trap, right?" He suggested that Baez might weave a story involving external parties or obscure motivations, drawing parallels to the unexpected defense tactics seen in Casey Anthony's case. Brueski and Rahmani agreed that the trial would be a masterclass in defense lawyering, with Baez's creativity and strategic acumen on full display. They emphasized that jurors often seek alternate explanations, and it is here that Baez's skill in crafting compelling narratives could come to the forefront. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Can the hiring of a high-profile attorney change the course of a seemingly open-and-shut murder case? This is the question that Tony Brueski, host of the podcast "Hidden Killers," and psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott pondered in a recent episode focusing on the murder of Jared Bridegan. The case took a dramatic turn with the involvement of Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's former attorney, known for his legal acumen in controversial cases. Jared Bridegan's tragic demise, allegedly orchestrated by his ex-wife Shanna Gardner and her current husband Mario Saldana, has gripped public attention. Brueski opened the discussion by questioning the implications of hiring Baez, suggesting that such a move might indicate a sense of guilt. "Oh, she's really guilty now because you need to bring in like the David Copperfield of attorneys to try and fix this for you," he remarked, highlighting the public's perception of a legal team's composition in high-stakes cases. Scott agreed, drawing parallels with another attorney known for defending alleged sex offenders and rapists, suggesting that hiring specific lawyers could reinforce public suspicion. However, she acknowledged Gardner's financial resources, which could afford her such top-tier legal representation. Despite the apparent overwhelming evidence against Gardner, Scott and Brueski speculated about the possible defense angles Baez might adopt. An intriguing twist in the case is the joint trial of Gardner and Saldana. Brueski initially thought one might betray the other to prove innocence, but this seemed unlikely with their shared representation. "You can't really do that sort of defense in, when you're connected with the same attorney," he observed, pointing out the complexities in formulating a defense strategy under these circumstances. Scott doubted any plausible alternative defense, given the hitman's admission under a plea agreement that Gardner and Saldana hired him. She pondered whether Baez might introduce other suspects or angles, possibly involving external parties with motives against Bridegan. "Are we going to end up seeing other people brought into this, other accusations of bad acts of someone who wanted to take out this Microsoft executive?" she speculated, considering the potential twists in the trial narrative. The conversation then shifted to the emotional and volatile nature of child custody battles, with Scott suggesting that personality disorders, such as borderline personality, could fuel such extreme actions. "They like to have an enemy. They like to fight. It's not a stretch to see how this could have happened in the way that at this point, it looks like it played out," she explained, offering a psychological perspective on the possible motivations behind the crime. As the case heads to trial, both Brueski and Scott concurred that watching Baez's legal strategy would be akin to a masterclass. Despite the strong circumstantial evidence, Baez's reputation and skill in navigating complex legal waters might introduce unforeseen elements into the trial. In conclusion, the Jared Bridegan murder case, with its high-profile defendants and equally prominent attorney, raises significant questions about the influence of legal representation in the court of public opinion and actual judicial proceedings. Can a reputed attorney like Jose Baez alter the trajectory of a case with seemingly strong evidence against his clients? As the case unfolds, this question remains a focal point of interest and speculation, offering a real-time study in the intricacies of legal defense strategies in high-stakes criminal cases. What does it take to navigate the treacherous waters of a high-profile murder case? The podcast "Hidden Killers" hosted by Tony Brueski, with former FBI Special Agent and contributor Jennifer Coffindaffer, recently delved into the complexities surrounding the legal representation in the Jared Bridegan murder case. With the hiring of Jose Baez, a lawyer known for handling contentious cases, the conversation raised critical questions about legal strategy and public perception in cases shrouded in controversy. Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft executive, met a tragic end, and now his ex-wife and her husband face charges for allegedly orchestrating the hit. Brueski opens the discussion by questioning the optics of hiring Baez, a lawyer linked to cases where the gap between legal outcomes and public opinion is notably wide. "Great defense attorney, but optic wise, you know, is this the best thing for them at this moment in time?" he asks, highlighting the delicate balance between legal efficacy and public perception. Coffindaffer, with her extensive FBI background, brings a unique perspective to the conversation. She acknowledges Baez's proven track record, especially in the Casey Anthony case, emphasizing his ability to raise doubts where seemingly none exist. "He's incredible at causing, or at least trying how he makes come to light, any sort of reasonable doubt," she notes, underscoring the pivotal role of a defense attorney in shaping narrative and doubt in a courtroom. The case against Bridegan's ex-wife and her husband is largely circumstantial, but Coffindaffer argues that such evidence can be compelling. She uses a snow analogy to illustrate this point, suggesting that circumstantial evidence can sometimes be stronger than direct evidence. However, she predicts that Baez will skillfully divert attention away from his clients, potentially toward co-conspirators, a strategy often seen in complex legal battles. A significant twist in the case is the admission of the hitman, implicating both Shanna Gardner-Smith and Mario Saldana. This revelation leads Brueski and Coffindaffer to speculate on potential defense strategies, including the possibility of one turning against the other. However, given their intertwined nature, such a tactic seems unlikely. Coffindaffer says, "I can't foresee what roads that they can go down to not have this connection there," highlighting the challenge faced by the defense. The discussion shifts to the art of legal defense, with both hosts agreeing on Baez's expertise in creating narrative shifts and introducing alternative theories. They recall how Baez shifted the narrative in the Casey Anthony case, focusing suspicion on Anthony's father without concrete evidence. Coffindaffer anticipates similar tactics in Bridegan's case, where Baez might introduce another "puppet master" behind the scenes. Brueski and Coffindaffer also touch on the role of financial resources in securing top legal representation. "It helps when you have a lot of money," Brueski remarks, pointing to the influence of wealth in navigating the legal system. The conversation concludes with an acknowledgment of Baez's skills and the anticipation of a compelling legal showdown. "I think this is going to be a very interesting one to watch in terms of a master at his craft," Brueski states, encapsulating the sentiment that the upcoming trial will be as much about legal prowess as it is about uncovering the truth. In closing, the Bridegan case raises profound questions about the legal system and its interaction with public opinion. How will the defense navigate this complex landscape, and what unexpected turns might the case take under the guidance of a lawyer renowned for his strategic acumen? As the case unfolds, these questions linger, underscoring the intricate dance between law, perception, and the quest for justice. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Have you ever wondered what drives a person to commit the unimaginable? The recent developments in the murder case of Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft executive, bring this question to the fore. In a revealing episode of "Hidden Killers," hosted by Tony Brueski with retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke, the convoluted layers of this high-profile case were dissected, offering insights into the human psyche and the dark underbelly of revenge and wealth. Jared Bridegan's murder has remained a topic of intense scrutiny, more so with his ex-wife, Shanna Lee Gardner, switching attorneys to Jose Baez, known for representing Casey Anthony. Brueski notes the questionable optics of this decision, stating, "Nothing says innocent like saying, I need Jose Baez to represent me because the cards are very stacked against me." The implication here is stark – the switch to a high-profile attorney in a case already mired in controversy adds another layer of suspicion. Dreeke and Brueski delve into the psychology behind such crimes. They discuss the concept of 'wound collectors,' individuals who blame others for their grievances, potentially leading to extreme actions like hiring a hitman. In Gardner's case, a prolonged custody battle over her children with Bridegan is highlighted as a possible motive. "Why is she battling so hard for the kids to the point where she was willing to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband?" Brueski ponders, pointing out the perplexity in her actions. The hosts critically analyze the execution of the hit itself, labeling it as "incredibly stupid" and poorly planned. The tragedy, however, extends beyond the botched execution to the children left fatherless, a point both Brueski and Dreeke emphasize. Bridegan was portrayed as a devoted father, further complicating the narrative around Gardner's alleged involvement. Furthermore, the involvement of Gardner's new husband, Mario Saldana, adds another twist. Charged earlier in the summer, his role and motivation remain a puzzle. "What would be his motivation?" Brueski questions, suggesting that perhaps Gardner's complaints about her ex-husband might have triggered Saldana's actions. The conversation then shifts to a broader contemplation of human behavior in such scenarios. Dreeke, with his background in behavioral analysis, offers a profound insight: "Everyone is extremely predictable, even her, if she's guilty. We will always act in her own best interests in terms of safety, security, and prosperity for our own perspective." He stresses the need to understand what Gardner perceived as her best interest, suggesting that her actions, however irrational they might seem, were based on a deeply personal rationale. The hosts also draw parallels with other infamous cases, like Lori Vallow, to underscore the capacity of the human mind to rationalize even the most heinous acts. "It's amazing what the human mind is able to rationalize," Brueski remarks, a statement that echoes throughout the discussion. In closing, the conversation leaves us with another intriguing question: How does one truly understand the actions of individuals like Gardner, if indeed she is guilty? The case of Jared Bridegan not only uncovers the lengths to which individuals might go for perceived justice or revenge but also challenges us to consider the complex and often unfathomable workings of the human mind. As this saga continues to unfold, one can't help but ponder – what are the limits of human rationalization in the face of adversity, and at what point does the pursuit of self-interest cross into the realm of the unthinkable? "What would be his motivation?" Arrested in Washington State, Shanna Gardner has finally been extradited back to Florida, where she faces charges in a murder-for-hire plot to kill her ex-husband. Gardner together with her current husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana are accused of hiring a hitman to gun down Microsoft executive and father of four, Jared Bridegan. Bridegan was killed in front of his small daughter after being lured out of his car by debris in the road, preventing him from making his way home. The next court date for Gardner and Fernandez-Saldana is scheduled for December 1. Beside Gardner for the hearing will be attorney Jose Baez, known for defending "Tot Mom" Casey Anthony in the death of her daughter who was found not guilty of murder. Gardner and her current husband will be tried together, possibly with separate juries. In a recent turn of events surrounding the high-profile case of Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, the parents of Gardner-Fernandez are under scrutiny for allegedly providing misleading information to the court to gain custody of their grandchildren. The case has garnered significant attention, considering the implications for two innocent children at its center. Currently, Abby and Liam, the 11-year-old twins of Jared Bridegan and Gardner-Fernandez, are under the care of their maternal grandparents. Before Jared's untimely death, the exes had maintained a joint custody arrangement, which allowed the twins to live half of the year with their half-siblings and Jared's widow, Kirsten Bridegan. However, since Jared's passing, Kirsten has passionately pleaded for visitation, stating that the children have been "kept away and isolated from us." However, the situation took a more convoluted turn when the Gardner's' custody petition came under the spotlight. They submitted a petition to Benton County Superior Court in Washington state, seeking full custody of the twins. The document asked specific questions about the residency of the children. One question was clear: "During the past 5 years have any of the children lived…outside Washington state?" The Gardners reportedly marked "No." This, however, stands in direct contrast to the fact that Gardner-Fernandez and the children moved from Florida to Washington only in December 2022, presumably to evade the public gaze due to the highly publicized murder case. The discrepancy doesn't end there. The Gardners, who primarily reside in Utah, were the benefactors of the million-dollar residence that became the sanctuary for Gardner-Fernandez before her arrest. Legal experts believe that the Gardners may have deliberately provided false residency information to prevent the case from being litigated in Florida, where Jared's parents live, a move that could potentially backfire. Prominent matrimonial lawyer Marilyn Chinitz, known for representing Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and Michael Douglas, weighed in on the controversy, telling Fox News Digital, "Coming to the court and patently lying by filling out a form with false information warrants a complete dismissal of their application." Chinitz added, "The court will look at that petition with a really jaundiced eye." Moreover, the petition raised more eyebrows when the Gardners answered "No" to a query asking if they knew of anyone, other than themselves and the twins' parents, who had, or claimed to have, a legal right to spend time with the twins. This is striking, given that Kirsten Bridegan, Jared's widow, has been very vocal about her desire to visit the children. She has been on record, expressing her deep anguish over being denied access to Abby and Liam, lamenting to reporters, "We are their family. We love them. Despite my constant requests to see or speak to them, I have been denied and continuously ignored." Notably, Jared's parents, Gaylord and Joanna Bridegan have also expressed their desire to be with their grandchildren. Commenting on the glaring inconsistencies in the petition, Chinitz noted, "This is a highly publicized case where the widow and paternal grandparents are out there saying they want to see the kids. I can't even justify why they would make that false statement." Further deepening the suspicion, the Gardners left out mentioning the twins' substantial trust accounts when asked to list the children's assets in the petition. Shelli Gardner, owner of the successful papercraft company, Stampin' Up!, has been the financial pillar for Gardner-Fernandez for the majority of her adult life. The Gardners recently severed more ties with Florida, selling their oceanfront Jacksonville Beach property for a whopping $3,650,000. As this legal and familial drama continues to unfold, the primary concern remains the well-being of two innocent children caught in the crossfire. Legal experts, the media, and the public are all closely watching, waiting to see how the court will handle the questionable information provided by the Gardners and what that means for the future of Abby and Liam. Julie Grant and Kirsten Bridegan speaks on the passing of her husband Jared Bridegan.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed the extradition order for Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, 35, from Washington state to Florida to face charges in a gripping murder plot. Gardner-Fernandez, heir to a multimillion-dollar papercraft business, is accused of orchestrating the execution-style murder of her ex-husband, 33-year-old Microsoft executive, Jared Bridegan. Jared Bridegan was shot multiple times in an alleged ambush in February 2022 on a secluded Jacksonville Beach road. The incident took place shortly after Bridegan dropped off the twins he shared with Gardner-Fernandez at her residence. Tragically, the Microsoft senior UX designer was gunned down in the presence of his two-year-old daughter from a subsequent marriage. The chilling act was committed in an area surrounded by dense trees, with no security cameras to record the heinous crime. “Jared was lured to his death. For the murder to happen in that specific area, it's clear someone had planned it. There are no cameras or houses there, just trees on a one-way street,” expressed Kirsten, Bridegan's widow, in an interview with DailyMail.com. The 61-year-old hitman, Danny Tenon, previously a tenant of Gardner-Fernandez's current husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana, admitted to the murder. Tenon disclosed that he had been contracted by Saldana-Fernandez for the crime. After his arrest on unrelated charges, Tenon also revealed his willingness to testify against his alleged co-conspirators. Gardner-Fernandez, previously of Jacksonville, had shifted about 2,800 miles to the Pacific Northwest, after the incident, an area known for not having the death penalty. Law enforcement officials in Florida have, however, signified their intention to seek the death penalty for her crimes. Many are closely watching this case, not just for its dramatic elements but due to the political implications with Governor DeSantis' involvement. The Jacksonville State Attorney's Office confirmed to DailyMail.com that the extradition order had been signed, sidelining an extradition hearing previously scheduled for Gardner-Fernandez. The charges facing Gardner-Fernandez include first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Notably, if found guilty, she might be subjected to the death penalty in Florida, where five executions have already been conducted this year. High-profile criminal defense attorney Hank Coxe, representing Gardner-Fernandez, previously declared intentions to contest the extradition. The warrant for her extradition is currently en route to Benton County, Washington. Gardner-Fernandez's association with her new husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana, and the ensuing dramatic transformation in her behavior raised eyebrows among acquaintances. Once known as a straight-laced individual, she evolved into someone significantly bolder, even shocking tattoo parlor staff in 2015 with a request for a genital piercing. The motivations behind this murder are speculated to revolve around a bitter custody battle over twins Liam and Abby, following the couple's separation in 2015. Kirsten Bridegan expressed her sentiments regarding Gardner-Fernandez's arrest, stating, “There is satisfaction in knowing that the person I believe was the driving force behind this doesn't get the privileges that she allegedly took from Jared. I trust the prosecutors to make the best decision for the case, and if that is the death penalty, then we support that.” The trial for Gardner-Fernandez is set to resume in Florida on October 5th. The case continues to attract significant attention due to its intricate ties of family, betrayal, and the weighty legal consequences involved. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? In a NOT so shocking development, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez has been arrested in connection with the murder of Jared Bridegan. This comes months after the arrest of her new husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana, and the hitman Henry Tenon, who had already accepted a plea deal, shedding light on the intricate web of conspiracy behind this tragic killing. As discussed on the popular podcast "Hidden Killers," hosted by Tony Brueski and featuring insights from former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer, the arrest has prompted many questions. "It's been what, six, seven months or so since the arrest of Mario in this, and now her. She finally is arrested," Brueski mused. Given the relationships between the individuals involved - the victim being Gardner-Fernandez's ex-husband and Saldana allegedly ordering the hit - suspicions were rife from the start. Coffindaffer added, "I think right off the bat we all looked at this and went, well, it's her ex-husband and her current husband did the hit... She has to be involved in some way, shape, or form." The authorities initially focused on Tenon, the hitman, securing his cooperation through a plea deal. Coffindaffer commended the approach, saying, "You always want to start with the lowest common denominator and dial in on him... but for the order of the hit, it is unlikely he would've just summarily gone out and killed Mr. Bridegan." Subsequent to Tenon's arrest, Saldana's detainment provided further evidence from his electronic devices. As Coffindaffer elucidated, "We know after they arrested him, they just were able to get so much more information from his cellular phone, from his computers, from conducting those search warrants." This pivotal data - possibly including bank statements and communication records - became the linchpin in finally implicating Gardner-Fernandez in the crime. As Coffindaffer pointed out, "All they need are two overt acts on her part and they've got her. That combined with proof of the conspiracy." Yet, the delay in her arrest suggests investigators were treading cautiously, amassing incontrovertible evidence. Brueski hypothesized, "Do you assume that over the course of the last many months, they've been watching her like a hawk in every single move that she makes and every single thing that she says?" Interestingly, Coffindaffer noted that Gardner-Fernandez had relocated from Florida, possibly in a calculated move to distance herself from the crime scene and potential witnesses. Despite her relocation, it seems unlikely that law enforcement maintained constant surveillance on Gardner-Fernandez. "I don't believe law enforcement would've been surveilling her and on top of her in that regard," Coffindaffer stated. But, she conceded, they were likely monitoring "phone records, I think, to see who she might've been communicating with so that they could interview them." This case serves as a stark reminder of the increasingly digital age we live in, where evidence isn't just based on eye-witness accounts or physical clues but is often "digitally extracted," as Coffindaffer aptly puts it. The twists and turns of the Bridegan murder case have kept the public on the edge of their seats, and as the trial progresses, even more shocking details are sure to emerge. In an episode of the "Hidden Killers" podcast hosted by Tony Brueski, the perplexing case surrounding the murder of Jared Bridegan was discussed in detail. Brueski, alongside prominent Defense Attorney and host of "Defense Diaries" Bob Motta, dived deep into the intricacies of a case that's been both intriguing and perplexing. Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, Bridegan's wife, after evading the clutches of law enforcement for over six months, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, now facing the harrowing death penalty. "She was sitting there free for half a year," stated Brueski, adding weight to the anticipation that surrounded her eventual arrest. However, Gardner-Fernandez wasn't the first suspect in custody. "They've had two guys in custody, obviously. Her current husband. And the guy they hired who happened to be a tenant in her husband's house," Motta explains. This tenant, identified as Henry, was the first to be arrested in January 2023, following a series of events that transpired in 2022. Henry, seemingly eager to distance himself from the crime, wasted no time. Motta reveals, "He came out right away saying, look I'm gonna give it up against what he was calling accomplices or what I'll call co-conspirators." But as Motta explains, despite Henry's early revelations, the prolonged delay in Gardner-Fernandez's arrest remains a puzzle. The only logical explanation, Motta speculates, may hinge on the nature of the interactions. Perhaps the interactions were solely between the tenant Henry and Gardner-Fernandez's current husband, Mario, excluding Gardner-Fernandez entirely. A significant breakthrough was discovered when checks from Mario (the landlord) to Henry (the tenant) were found in Henry's possession. These financial traces, alongside other statements from co-conspirators, Motta elaborated, "are exempt from the hearsay rule, like they get in." In simpler terms, any such statement would be permissible evidence in court, allowing for a more substantial case against the accused. The subsequent arrest was that of Mario, Gardner-Fernandez's current husband. Motta reflects on the implications of this arrest, especially concerning the spousal rule. Despite being accused of the same crime, neither spouse can be compelled to testify against the other. "No, that's your Fifth Amendment right," Motta emphasized. However, Motta hints at the prosecution's possible dilemma: if all the incriminating conversations were only between Tenant and Mario, proving Gardner-Fernandez's involvement would be a challenge. This is particularly true if Mario remains tight-lipped, refusing to implicate his wife. The emotional undertone of this case cannot be overlooked. Motta, with evident anguish in his voice, lamented the tragedy the custody battle posed for the children involved. "When I see two people like this, that were just... doing the most damage to those poor little kids, it makes me sick," he professed. As the case unfolds, a burning question lingers: Will one spouse flip on the other to avoid the death penalty? "If I'm her, I'm throwing [Mario] under the bus," Motta opined. But he admits, "Unfortunately we just didn't get to see the indictment. They said they're gonna release it in short order." While the prosecutor promises a plethora of evidence within the upcoming indictment, the case remains awash in uncertainty. If the death penalty looms for all, what incentive is there for any of the accused to take a plea? As the world awaits the next development, one thing is certain: the consequences of personal enmities, especially within the fragile ecosystem of a family, can have chilling repercussions. In a gripping and tragic twist of events, the ex-wife of a high-ranking Microsoft executive, Jared Bridegan, has been indicted and charged with his gruesome murder in Jacksonville, Florida. State Attorney Melissa Nelson brought this shocking revelation to light during an intensive news briefing. The crime, which had previously baffled Florida law enforcement, is now unraveling, revealing the sordid details behind the calculated assassination of a loving father and accomplished professional. Jared Bridegan was not just any software developer. He was a crucial asset to tech giant, Microsoft, and an affectionate father to four children. The cruel nature of his demise on February 16, 2022, left the community in shock. On that fateful evening, after responsibly ensuring the safety of his twin children in a Jacksonville Beach neighborhood, Jared encountered an unexpected obstacle. In a dimly-lit street lay a stray tire. As any good Samaritan would, he attempted to move it for the safety of others. Unbeknownst to him, this act of kindness would be his last. He was ambushed and shot multiple times, leaving his two-year-old daughter abandoned yet thankfully unharmed in her car seat. The name at the heart of this scandal? Shanna Lee Gardner, aged 36. This startling development came as her former husband, Jared's wife, Kristen Bridegan, stated, "From the onset, everything within me believed she had a hand in this." But what could be the possible motive behind such a heinous act? The couple's tumultuous past reveals a trail of clues. Court records describe their divorce as "highly acrimonious", painting a picture of intense discord and a "contentious relationship" that extended even to Gardner's current husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana. In another startling turn, it was divulged that the state is not only pursuing the death penalty against Shanna Gardner but also against Mario Fernandez Saldana. Represented by Jesse Dreicer, Fernandez Saldana firmly asserts his innocence. Dreicer, expressing faith in the forthcoming exoneration of his client, emphasized that, “He has pleaded not guilty and remains innocent until proven otherwise.” However, the case took on more weight when the alleged hitman, Henry Arthur Tenon, aged 62, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. His plea came with a caveat: Tenon agreed to testify against both Fernandez Saldana and Gardner, drawing clear lines of connection between the parties involved. State Attorney Nelson, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the crime, declared, “Henry Tenon didn't act in isolation. Mario Fernandez didn't devise this alone. Shanna Gardner's indictment underscores her pivotal involvement in Jared Bridegan's calculated assassination.” Post the murder, as media interest spiked, Gardner found refuge far from Florida in West Richland, Washington. She staunchly maintained her innocence in interactions with the media. Nevertheless, an arrest warrant for Gardner surfaced, underscoring the tumultuous nature of her relationship with Bridegan. In a heart-wrenching statement, Gardner's parents, Shelli and Sterling Gardner, expressed their profound grief, emphasizing the significance of family during such challenging times. They lovingly supported their daughter and highlighted the challenges faced by the grandchildren amidst this media frenzy, urging respect for privacy. For the Bridegan family, this revelation isn't an end but merely a chapter closed. Kristin Bridegan, still grieving, said, “Shanna's arrest concludes a distressing chapter in our quest for justice for Jared. Yet, this is only the beginning. We anticipate a harrowing journey ahead but are determined to see justice served to its full extent.” As the case unfolds, the world watches intently, anticipating further revelations and awaiting justice for a father whose life was taken all too soon. Jared Bridegan's ex-wife is the third person charged in connection with his murder 18 months ago. Jared Bridegan, 33, was fatally shot after he dropped off his twin 9-year-olds at Shanna Gardner-Fernandez's home. Bridegan was shot multiple times after he stopped to remove a tire from the road. Bridgean's toddler daughter was in the car. Gardner-Fernandez was arrested in Washington on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony, and child abuse. Gardner's current husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana, was arrested on the same charges in March. Henry Arthur Tenon, 62, was arrested first, and is thought to have pulled the trigger. Gardner-Fernandez will be extradited to Florida to face charges in this death penalty case. Henry Arthur Tenon has agreed to plead guilty to the ambush shooting death of Jared Bridegan in Jacksonville Beach, promising to testify against any co-defendants. As part of the plea agreement, Tenon will be sentenced to at least 15 years in prison, with the state dropping counts of conspiracy to commit murder, accessory after the fact to a capital felony, and child abuse. Tenon's guilty plea comes on the same day as the arrest of Mario Fernandez Saldana, the husband of Bridegan's ex-wife, who now faces charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony, and child abuse. #JaredBrideganMurder #TenonGuiltyPlea #CoDefendantsRevealed Want to listen to ALL of our Podcasts Ad-Free? The murder of Jared Bridegan, a 33-year-old father of four, has left his family and community seeking justice. On February 16, 2022, Bridegan was mysteriously murdered in Jacksonville, Florida, after taking his children out for dinner and dropping off his 10-year-old twins with his ex-wife. As he headed home with his two-year-old daughter, he encountered a tire in the road and was shot multiple times at close range after getting out of his car to move it. Authorities suspect the tire had been planted to make him get out of his car. Almost a year later, on January 25, 2023, Henry Tenon was charged with second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, accessory after the fact, and child abuse. It is not known if he pulled the trigger, but the charges state that he conspired with at least one other person for six weeks to plot the murder. Police have not yet named Bridegan's ex-wife and her current husband as suspects, but they remain under investigation. The mystery surrounding Bridegan's murder has shed light on his previous marriage, stormy divorce, and ongoing custody battle. Want to listen to ALL of our Podcasts Ad-Free? 61-year-old ex con Henry Tenon has been arrested and charged in the death of Jared Bridegan. Tennon has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, accessory after the fact to a capital felony, child abuse and second-degree murder. The child abuse charge comes as Bridegan's 2-year-daughter is in the car when he was shot. The conspiracy charge means more arrests are expected, but the documents related to the arrest are sealed. An investigation shows that Tennon once lived in a home owned by ex-wife Shanna Gardner-Fernandez's new husband Mario Fernandez. The night the 33-year-old Microsoft executive was shot, he drops his twins off at the home of his ex-wife, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez. Bridegan is with his 2-year-daughter as he drives home. On their way home, Bridegan stops to remove a tire from the middle of the road. There's no room to drive around it. That's when the Microsoft executive is shot and killed by an unknown assailant. The little girl, Bexley, is reportedly in the car for several minutes as her father dies. Bridegan has been in lengthy custody and alimony disputes with his former wife and reportedly she has now hired a high-powered criminal defense attorney. The investigation continues. The search continues for the person who ambushed 33-year-old Jared Bridegan as he drove home with his 2-year-old daughter. Bridegan had dropped of his then 9-year old children to his ex-wife and was on his way home when shots rang out. Bridegan's ex, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, has been under intense scrutiny. Reports say the Bridegan's marriage broke up after Fernandez had an affair. She denied it, but the fitness trainer alleged in the affair, confirms he did have a relationship with Fernandez. Also a tattoo artist has come forward say that Fernandez said her life would be better if Jared Bridegan could "just ‘shut up.' Fernandez then asked if any of the salon employees knew anybody that could ‘shut him up.'” So far, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department hasn't named a suspect in connection with the case and Gardner-Fernandez maintains her innocence. **This episode is brought to you by MuteSix, FenixCommerce, and EcoCart** “To take the time to invest in ourselves, that's the lesson Adam learned in the pandemic.” In the second half, Adam Bridegan, Co-Founder of Made In, former CMO of Rhone, and Founder of Gaylord says that Covid was a blessing in disguise. Covid made him think about what he wanted from life, and he even read Dale Carnegie's “How to Start Living and Stop Worrying.” Implementing a strategy from the book called “stop-loss control” was a light bulb moment for him. After leaving Rhone, Adam wanted to do things he was not making time for before. So, he went to North Carolina, where he grew up, and met friends he had not seen in years. He helped and gave free advice to entrepreneurs. Eventually, he realized that he wanted a change; he wanted to use his experience and expertise to help other entrepreneurs in their journey. This has turned into his latest endeavor, the formation of Gaylord. He talks about: * How Covid was a blessing * His light bulb moment * Lesson from pandemic * What was he thinking * How to see the positives of this experience Join Ramon Vela and Adam Bridegan as they break down the inside story on The Story of a Brand.
